Ooh, mini-subs. There were some of that type in [i]G.I Joe: The Rise of Cobra[/i], if I recall correctly. The Joes had ones in the more traditional submarine shape, while Cobra's looked more like manta rays.

I've never had the Squids, but I do remember the Dolphins.

Whenever I played my brother I liked to build submarine bases on lakes, built subs, then sell the base so he couldn't find the subs. Since he was usually a better player than me he had to really work at finding them. He also used to like sitting MAD Tanks outside my bases.

We had a rule that we would not use nukes. Even when he broke the rule with MAD Tanks, I did not.

We need more people to enter before we can close the entry period. Yes, when the submission period starts you can post them here just as I have posted the examples. For now I'll set the nest deadline for the coming Friday at 12:00PM EST. If we do not get more entrants, I will extend it once more. After that, I will ask you if you want to go anyway, or if you just want your points refunded.

I will specify 1 week for the Submission Period, extensible to 2 weeks if necessary. This means that the first deadline is [b]12:00PM EST on August 20th[/b]. Only if necessary will I wait until [b]August 27th[/b]. I will not accept submissions after that point in time.

I will continue to accept Contestant Entries until [b]12:00PM on August 20th[/b], just in case someone else comes along who wants in. After that, I will no longer accept new entries. [b]These decisions are final[/b], so it is time to begin.

First post updated to reflect my understanding of the term 'fightercraft.' Please ensure your cards follow both these criteria. Here they are again, just in case you don't have the time to look:
1. must fly or approximate flight within its medium
2. must be a pilotable unit (living and remote units controlled externally will not be accepted, nor will flying armours like the Iron Man).

Only the one, since although making more would be cool, I decided to attempt Quality over Quantity.

Lore: Once per turn, during your Main Phase 1 you can discard one card: banish this card. This effect may be used whilst this card is treated as an Equip Spell. Special summon it during your next standby phase in Attack Position. Once per turn when this card would be destroyed in battle: Equip it to the monster its battling. A monster equiped to this card may not declare an attack. If this card is removed from the equiped monster by its own effect: Half the the ATK and DEF of the equipped monster until the end phase.

As for the inspiration of the idea, that comes from a tabletop game I have played: Dreadfleet. Basically the idea is this is deployed to imobilize enemy vessels, and cause damage, before disengaging into the depths for the fleet as a whole to destroyed the crippled enemy vessels.

So, thats my entry, unless I think of a different one to add at some point.
