There have been a lot of tragic backstories, and we already knew his fate, but his death really hit me. He was just such a good guy, great character. Brocinante, you shall forever live on in our hearts. TT^TT

So, I guess the name and jolly roger of the Heart Pirates are in honor of Rocinante.

It isn't gonna put Trafalgar out of the picture at least. I know Shanks moved forward despite that.

Though it is still incredibly brutal that they'd go that route. I know Trafalgar can't just re-attach it there and then since he usually only really does it when it is with his devil fruit power, which never shows blood when it splits people.

It is also still possible to fix him. I mean his fruit seemed to cure him from the hereditary poisoning even unknown to science so depending how long the arm remains apart, they can still put it back.

I wonder if he can put a head back on...cause if Luffy or Sabo don't hurry their asses over he might be the headless horseman

Wait, I was thinking Law could reattach his arm later with his devil fruit, but was that a mistaken assumption?

If so, well, damn. That really blows.

I feel like Bellamy will give Luffy a little more grief this time since Oda's been working on redeeming his character since his introduction. Hell, he was one of my most hated in the series and now I don't really mind the guy. Now that's character development.

Nah, I think Law's justified his earning plot armor. His backstory and current circumstances are begging for him to play a part in defeating Doffy and revenging Corazon, along with the massive potential in his future.

Oda could pull an Ace on us and shred our hearts into swiss cheese, but I want to be optimistic.

please don't prove me wrong
