Yeah, Ucy! And lol at everyone trying to help against Luffy's will. Reminds me of

, actually.

This is exactly what came to mind. Luffy has an astonishing ability of gathering allies, even when he doesn't want it. So awesome.

Update (from the Unofficial One Piece Podcast)

One Piece will be going on a two-week break for Weekly Shônen Jump issues #28 and #29 due to Oda being hospitalized.
To assuage any potential fears fans may have, sources reassured us that this visit (to the hospital) was a scheduled break (check-up) and not a sudden development due to overworking as was the case for last years’ sudden hiatus.

That would make sense since it was a year ago that he was hospitalized, so having a check up now seems with in reason. Not to mention all the breaks One Piece has had (its been one a month) are also a likely result of scheduled breaks by Jump to keep Oda from over working himself.

Well that's reassuring, whew.

EDIT: Ah, he's just getting his tonsils removed.

"Since last year, I have had swollen tonsils when I get tired. It has really interfered with my work, so I

decide to remove the tonsils by this surgery. Since taking a surgery is such a rare opportunity, I will ask

the doctors to set bazookas on my shoulders. I will come back with a stronger body to finish various works

scheduled in the last half of this year. I'll be back soon, please play with me again then."

Oda becomes Franky and we get more One Piece in a couple weeks, it's a win-win!

So apparently Oda gets three hours of sleep and is a chain smoker.

God dammit Japan and your freakish work standards.

There is that, but Oda goes out of his way to put more work and effort into each chapter than what's necessarily needed. But no one's really been disappointed in a One Piece chapter for a long while, so it shows I guess.

Interesting connection between Law and Doflamingo there. Wonder what drove the dude to kill his own brother?

The 3 hours of sleep has been a well known fact. I only just learned he smoked. That would explain his current medical conditions.

Oda does go above an beyond, but Japan is known for having insane work standards.

We've been getting hints at their relationship for a while. Having to wait 3 weeks is going to suck.

Hm, randomly thought this after a strange One Piece + Mulan dream, but I want to see Luffy get trained by Garp for something important. Not sure how likely that scenario would be for awhile, given their location, but maybe far down the line something will come up.

EDIT: Now this surprised me. Attack on Titan has actually outsold One Piece for the first half of 2014, which held the top spot since '09.

1. Attack on Titan - 8,342,268

2. One Piece - 4,936,855

Granted, this is talking overall manga sales. One Piece only released one new volume during this time vs Attack on Titan's 2 volumes, and the One Piece volume still sold best out of single volumes.

1. "One Piece 73" (2,825,339)

2. "Attack on Titan 12" (1,770,746)

3. "Attack on Titan 13" (1,6665,561)

Plus, Attack on Titan has most of its sales from back issues due to the popularity of the anime and stuff. I expect One Piece will take it's spot back sooner or later, especially with how this recent arc has been going.
