If that doesn't knock her out, nothing will.

Pretty sure that in that last panel she just has.

Poor Cyros, didn't realize his lost leg as a toy was because he cut it off when he was human. I hope when he transforms back he doesn't just bleed out.

Oh geese, that's a good point. There's no way the blood was able to quagulate and form a clot in that short amount of time. He very well could straight up bleed to death. Plus Chopper isn't with him, so he won't be of much help.

They probably couldn't find the leg either wa*shot*

Meh, narrative causality. We really haven't been shown the specifics of how what's-her-face's powers work anyway.

I did have a problem with this chapter in how they just breezed through the rest of Cyros's backstory.

I thought the backstory was handled well enough. I mean, we could have gotten more about on his romance with Scarlet but at that point the flashback would have started to drag. I liked Fishman Island, but the flashback might have gone on for a little too long. I've really liked how the flashbacks have been done this arc.

Anyway, Cyros took 10 levels in badass when he cut off his own leg to save the king. The scene with him and his dying wife was also REALLY well done. The age difference between them does seem odd from a western view point, not to mention her being underage.

Franky being defeated did make me sad. It makes sense since it was up against two of Mingo's higher ups as well as a Vice Admiral, but seeing a SH lose makes me sad face.

The end of the chapter was a tad anti-climatic but it was funny. Not to mention Oda reaction face is Over Powered.

I was worried at how fast it seemed we were progressing through the flashback but the second half worked surprisingly well. That was sad.

Now if this turned out to be the end of Usopp's involvement in this arc... then I cannot even state how disappointed I'd be. But I'm going to give Oda the benefit of the doubt and say that it won't be.

Why? He had his moment and he actually got the job done. Seems like a good place to leave off with him for a while. Franky on the other hand hasn't done much this arc.

The faces made up for everything in this chapter, regardless.

See the "regardless" makes me think you didn't like this chapter.

I did like the chapter, just felt the rest of Cyros's backstory was rushed too much (sort of gave the feel of one of those "life flashing before one's eyes" scenes where it goes through everything super quick, which I didn't find that fitting given the standard flashback of before). I was saying the "regardless" in constrast to that one issue of mine, as well as your sadness about Franky being defeated and KB's worry that Ussop's involvement might be done for this arc.

Well "cannot even state" was a bit of an exaggeration, but I'd be quite disappointed that Oda, having set up an opportunity for Usopp to do something great and clever after he'd been terribly useless up until last chapter, would instead waste it on a gag victory that wasn't even earned through his own merit. 741, as much as I liked it, was IMO not enough to make up for the way he acted up to that point this arc. So if he has something better planned for Usopp later on, then that's great, I'll be able to appreciate this chapter better. In general this arc has had "Important arc for Usopp" stamped all over it though, so I've been expecting quite a bit from him.

Franky is most definitely going to get his moment, I'm not worried about him. He's been pretty great all around this arc already anyway, while Usopp had been kinda cringe-worthy.

Understandable. See, the way I think about it is that Usopp isn't at these guys level. While it would have been nice for him to have gotten an actual fight he just can't compete so him finally overcoming his cowardliness I feel works as his high point for the arc. Though with a lot remaining he is bound to do SOMETHING else this arc.

I'm not disappointed at all in Usopp, even during this chapter. In fact, I'd be more disappointed if he were suddenly brave enough to go into such a high end operation like Luffy or Zoro or almost anyone else would.

Usopp wants to become a "brave man of the sea". It's too early in the story for him to have already completely realized his dream. There is proof that he is getting braver (like his timeskip intro when he shot the fake Straw Hats). This journey for him is really about understanding what bravery means and how standing up even when he wants to run for his life will turn him into the man he wants to be.

Also, with what Flame said, this arc has a lot more to go. Doflamingo has a lot of subordinates that have yet to fight, and the Dressrosa revolution has only just begun.

Yeah, it's been mentioned before, but frankly the New Fishman Pirates and Ceasar and his gang don't even compare to the Doflamingo family (aside from Vergo who was actually with Doflamingo anyways). Usopp can't deal with everything he faces, and even Franky's having a hard time.

That face at the end caught me off guard, it was so random and shocking, but I loved it xD

Well said.

Usopp's actually in my top 5-7 characters for this series, believe it or not. From moments like him willing to put his life on the line for strangers (the dwarves) to funny stuff like the ending face, he always entertains me.
