Sleepy
I just had the oddest argument. So people are always wanting Sabo to actually be alive somewhere, but I point out that he was confirmed dead in one of the databooks, which are canon. One guy's response was essentially, "The databooks don't talk about future events, just because he's dead in the past doesn't mean he won't be alive in the future." Oh, internet... I'm not taking any sides in this, but just gonna point out that the argument is not as silly as you make it sound. It's basically saying that databooks won't give you a spoiler about it, and since up to date everyone in-universe thinks he's dead, then that's the official situation right now. I'm not saying he is or isn't dead, just clarifying that.Although there was a very short scene where his hat appeared among Dragon's crew, I forgot at what point. One could imagine many scenarios with that.

Shradow
Vergo and Monet dead? Sabo dead? pffft Show me the body and I'll buy it. Here's Monet's: Also, in the anime, where there's sound, you hear her heart stop beating. Now, the anime does cause some minor plot holes with things like its filler arcs, but it wouldn't kill off someone who's not supposed to be dead. EDIT: Dat accidental double post. Though I was editing my previous one for some reason.
K.B. strategist
I've actually seen people who think Tra-guy is Sabo. On the cover of Chapter 596, there was sort of a, "what if" image of a grown up Sabo with Ace (note the lack of the marked out S in his tattoo) and Luffy, and he looks nothing like Tra-guy. Also, if he has a, "what if you weren't dead" image about him, there's the prerequisite that he's dead. Hard to say, we're building up a precedent for non-flashback deaths: Ace, Whitebeard, the Merry, Monet, Vergo. But I don't see Tra-guy dying anytime soon, either. Also, speaking of Monet, why didn't Luffy use his Red Hawk on her? Even without Haki, fire is probably one of the natural weaknesses of the Snow Snow Fruit (like how Crocodile could be hit while wet or Luffy's rubber body could hit Eneru). Luffy didn't use Red Hawk because it's too sentimental a move to use on just anyone in particular, and because he's not that great at logic anyway. (Plus Luffy hasn't seen much snow in his life - I mean, does he even know that it's frozen water?) In fact, upon rereading the fight I don't think Luffy even realizes he's fighting a snow person until right at the end when Monet says so herself. Also, I'm not entirely sure Oda actually employs the "fire beats ice" idea when it comes to logias. Based on Aokiji's tussles with Ace and Akainu, I'm leaning towards a "cold and heat balance each other out" philosophy. ALSO, Sabo is absolutely not dead. Shradow
It's strange, how i think a stab to the heart isnt fatal. Yeah, admittedly when I first read it I was skeptical merely based on the fact it's One Piece. Then I actually bothered to realize, "Oh right, she was stabbed in the damn heart." Fusion X. Denver
You know, maybe Oda will break the mold a bit in his no killing policy. It would embody the brutality and raised stakes that come with the New World.
K.B. strategist
If he had, the G5 guys would have died in Shinokuni. I could see Monet surviving somehow. It's not impossible to save someone who's gotten stabbed in the heart, and Monet's heart is out in the open so extra easy to operate on.

IMO if you were to ask a Magic 8 Ball about Monet's fate it would say "outlook bleak". I still think she might come back.
Tentacruel
Wait. How did that even work if she's a Logia? It's not like Caesar can use haki.

~Shin~
[spoiler=@logiahearstgettingstabbed: This is some crap I wrote instead of studing]I think "Their hearts were detached from their bodies by haki" is the answer to why a person that can not wield haki would damage their hearts. Otherwise a logia user would be invincible. Here is how I understand this whole haki thing:Robin said that haki only allows a person to physically affect a logia user and would not negate their DF powers. If a logia use hand is cut off by someone that can't wield haki, he will just reform it.If a logia use hand is cut off by someone that can wield haki, he would not be able to reform it, even when it is just laying there, right next to his feet.In both cases (according to Robin's words) he still has his DF powers, the only different is just simply that in the second case the arm was detached by haki. Also, Nami burned Monet and she was able to reform. Yet, although we did not see the fight, Kuzan had his leg burned by Akainu, but could not reform, not because of it getting burnd, but because of haki. (again, I know we did not see the fight, this is just a thought.). And these logia users did not die when Law used haki to take out their heart because that was done within room which negates all vital damage (room is just as confusing as haki :s)......I think, really I'm still trying to understand all of this, I should not attempt to explaining it :P Anyways, did anyone ever point out the possibility of Monet being a former slave?I mean, after chapter 728 it seems that she had her DF since a young age. And Hancook (...I think...or one of her sisters...) said that slaves would be feed DFs to be more entertaining.... or something like that. Could be (another) a reason to why she is so loyal to Doflamingo, whom I suppose freed her...

Jord200
Only reason I can think of as to why Donflamingo would be after Momo would be he ate a man-made Devil Fruit. However, I get the feeling that isn't it…...
