KamikazePyro
I'm currently writing a fanfic and I decided to make some new cards this time around. I made the "Phoenix" archetype based somewhat on the mythological creature, and the "Monster Island" archetype based on monsters and elements from the Godzilla franchise. Neither set is finished, and not all of them have pictures so I'm posting them here. _________________________________________________________ Ghidorah - Destroyer of Monster Island Level 9 || LIGHT || Thunder/Effect 3000 / 2500 This card is unaffected by the effects of Trap Cards. During the Battle Phase, if your opponent controls a monster after this card has attacked, it can attack again. If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing Battle Damage to your opponent. Gojira - King of Monster Island Level 8 || WATER || Reptile/Effect 3000 / 3000 While "Monster Island" is on the field: This card cannot be destroyed by battle. When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard: ● It gains 500 ATK. ● Inflict damage to your opponent equal to half the original ATK of the destroyed monster. Mothra - Ally of Monster Island Level 6 || WIND || Insect/Effect 2200 / 2000 While this card is face-up on the field, cards with "Monster Island" in their name are unaffected by card effects. When this card is sent to the Graveyard: Gain 1000 Life Points. Monster Island [Field Spell] When these monsters are on the field, you can activate these effects: ● "Godzilla - King of Monster Island": You take no Battle Damage. ● "Ghidorah - Destroyer of Monster Island": Your opponent's monsters have their ATK and DEF halved. ● "Mothra - Ally of Monster Island": During your Standby Phase, draw 1 card. Then gain 1000 Life Points. Sacred Phoenix Hatchling Level 2 || FIRE || Winged Beast/Effect 200 / 300 You can send this face-up card to the Graveyard; Special Summon 1 "Sacred Phoenix of Eternity" from your hand. If this card is Special Summoned, inflict 500 damage to your opponent. Guardian of the Phoenix's Tomb Level 4 || FIRE || Warrior/Effect 100 / 2100 While this card is face-up on the field, your opponent cannot select other "Phoenix" monsters as attack targets. Phoenix Soldier Level 4 || FIRE || Warrior/Effect 1400 / 1200 This card can be treated as 2 Tributes for the Tribute Summon of a "Phoenix" monster. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard: You can Special Summon up to 2 "Phoenix Soldiers" from your hand or Deck. Sacred Phoenix of Wisdom Level 5 || FIRE || Winged Beast/Effect 1500 / 2300 This card is changed to Defense Position when it is Summoned. While this card remains on your side of the field in face-up Defense Position: Your opponent cannot Set Spell or Trap Cards. Sacred Phoenix of Eternity Level 8 || FIRE || Winged Beast/Effect 2800 / 2300 Once per turn: Select 1 Spell or Trap Card on the field; destroy it and inflict 500 damage to your opponent. You can Special Summon this card (from the Graveyard) by Tributing 1 Monster with "Phoenix" in its name on your side of the field. When this card is Special Summoned this way: Destroy all Spell/Trap Cards on your opponent's side of the field. The Special Summon of this card cannot be negated. Sacred Phoenix of Destruction Level 10 || FIRE || Ritual/Winged Beast/Effect 3200 / 3000 This monster can only be Ritual Summoned with the Ritual Spell Card, "Sacred Phoenix Ritual". When this card is Ritual Summoned: Destroy all Spell/Trap Cards on the field. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard: You can Special Summon 1 "Sacred Phoenix of Eternity" from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard. Sacred Phoenix Ritual [Ritual Spell] This card is used to Ritual Summon "Sacred Phoenix of Destruction". You must also Tribute monsters from the field or your hand whose total Levels equal 10 or more. Sacred Skies of the Phoenix [Continuous Spell] While this card is face-up on the field: During the End Phase of the turn a "Phoenix" monster was sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon that monster. "Phoenix" monsters cannot be banished. Tomb of the Sacred Phoenix [Field Spell] When a "Phoenix" monster is Special Summoned, gain 1000 Life Points. If this card is destroyed by the effect of "Sacred Phoenix of Destruction", you can add any number of "Phoenix" monsters from your Graveyard to your Deck and shuffle it. If "Sacred Phoenix of Eternity" is face-up on your side of the field: When a "Phoenix" monster's effect would activate that requires a cost, you do not have to pay that cost. Ashes of the Phoenix [Normal Trap] Inflict 500 damage to your opponent for each "Phoenix" monster in your Graveyard. Phoenix Hatching [Normal Trap] Target 1 face-up "Phoenix" monster you control; send that target to the Graveyard and Special Summon 1 "Phoenix" monster from your hand or Graveyard, except "Sacred Phoenix of Eternity". Phoenix Migration [Normal Trap] Select up to 5 "Phoenix" cards in your Graveyard; return them to the Deck. Shuffle it. Phoenix Reborn [Normal Trap] Special Summon 1 "Phoenix" monster that was destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard this turn. Phoenix Wing Shield [Counter Trap] When a "Phoenix" monster is targeted by a Spell or Trap Card: You can discard 1 card from your hand to negate the activation and effect of the Spell or Trap Card and destroy it. Then you can Set 1 Spell or Trap Card from your hand. Phoenix Wing Tempest [Normal Trap] Target 1 face-up "Sacred Phoenix of Eternity" you control; inflict damage to your opponent equal to its original ATK. "Sacred Phoenix of Eternity" cannot attack the turn you activate this card. Risen from the Ashes [Counter Trap] When your opponent declares battle: Special Summon 1 "Sacred Phoenix of Eternity" from your Graveyard. All of your opponent's monsters must attack it. Destroy it during the End Phase of the turn it was Special Summoned with this card. Link to comment
KamikazePyro
I guess I should elaborate a little more on the archs. "Phoenix" is primarily based around Special Summoning, inspired by the phoenix's ability to rise from its own ashes. "Monster Island" is a bit less focused on one particular aspect like "Phoenix" is; its main monsters (remember, unfinished set) are basically beatsticks, though, so I suppose it'd be a beatdown-type strategy with "Ghidorah" and "Gojira" assaulting and "Mothra" protecting them. CnC would be much appreciated! Link to comment
