Shradow
Survey time! When getting a new game, do you actually read the instructions before playing?
Smear
On the way home from the shopping centre I read it.
Northern Sage
On the way home from the shopping centre I read it.
This, pretty much. Want to find out as much about the game as possible.
Big Bad Pennar
I usually look at a tutorial Level rather than read any instructions... lol Akai Katana was the only exception though, I was trying to figure out how to trigger Co-op mode for it... Desu the Blue Nerd
Pretty much what Smear said. Unless it's a pretty generic FPS game. No point in that then.
Doc.
If there's one thing I learned from Sonic Generation's manual, it's that sometimes, reading the manual can be a good thing (Trophy Room, IT ISNT SECRET.).
Poc
maaan, instruction manuals are so 1998, everything is digital distribution now, get with the times.
TheComposer
I open it after I start the game and don't know how to do something.
Makο
I rather enjoy reading through it, usually since there's a nice piece of the games Lore or something inside it. So I do every chance I get.
Agro
It's never anything special unless they decide to throw some random crap in. You only read it if you cannot yet play it. aka, on the car ride home.
Archbaron Larry
I never read them unless I don't know the controls, and the game fails to explain them to you.
encapturer
I at least leaf through them to see if there is anything interesting. I am always saddened when a game ships with a manual that is 12 pages long... and that's only due to the manual being translated into 4 languages =/
Garthfunkle Vii Backwards
move this games ? or polls ? and sometimes depends on the video game gerne though
宇佐見 蓮子@C94
I open them during the first loading screen while loading up the game for the first time. I usually only read the parts that interest me. (Read: Barely Anything)
This Account is Unplayable
I think every instruction manual I've opened for like 5 years I've opened on the first loading screen, then never actually read. Most recent exception that comes to mind is Crisis Core, since my PSP had to update to play it so I read some of the character bios.
Legend Zero
The smell of a new game instruction book makes me sick. =[ I do look through it after letting it air out though.
