Return of the Orichalcos (Finishing/PG-13/IC)

Recommended Posts

Russell nodded at Arta's demand, but then saw something that almost made him jump out of his skin: little Atsuko was approaching the mythril statue causing havoc.

"Carla," Russell said urgently, "go with Archer and Shannon and head for the bus. I need to get that kid out of harm's way." Without waiting for a reply, Russell made a mad dash through the thinning horde of animated corpses, hoping to reach Atsuko before the statue could.

"Right, c'mon you two," Triple A said to Carla, urging her and his wife Shannon toward the bus.

Carla nodded her head in agreement, but before she made her way forward, something seen out of the corner of her eye caught her attention. She turned to look to her right and saw a familiar figure; a man with a five-o'-clock shadow and a fedora, covered in blood, slowly stumbled toward Carla, his eyes blank and expressionless as he emitted a low wheezing noise. It took Carla only a few seconds to realize who it was: "... Jared?"

Almost as if on cue, Jared's walking corpse let out a horrid shriek as its shuffling gait turned into a full-on sprint, hands outstretched with the intent of capturing its prey. Carla's fight-or-flight instinct was somehow on a break, for she did nothing but stay rooted to the spot, inches away from getting mauled by the corpse of a former colleague.

It was only the splattering of blood and brain tissue onto Carla's face that snapped her out of her stupor; Triple A, armed with his trusty, beloved sledgehammer, took a swing at the body that was once Jared, the full force separating the top half of its head from its jaw.

"Carla, we have to go!!" Shannon shouted as she grabbed Carla by the arm, pulling her toward the buses with Triple A following after them. As soon as the three of them were safely on, Shannon turned to Carla and asked, "Hey, not to get in your business or anything, but what was that about? Did you know that guy?"

"... you could say that," Carla replied, still somewhat confused about what she saw. "I mean, he was just someone I worked with." It wasn't that she felt much for Jared, except maybe sorry that he was dead, but something in the back of Carla's mind was bugging her.

"Hey, where's Russell?" Tom Seda asked Shannon.

"He stayed back to try and save that little girl from earlier," Shannon replied, now worried for Russell.

"Hey, what are you doing?! Look out!" Russell shouted to Atsuko, scooping her up in his arms before making a sharp turn in the opposite direction, towards the Duelhog that Arta was now driving.

"Come on! Get on!" Arta shouted to Russell. "We have got to go now! We can't wait anymore!" Arta drove the Duel Hog over to Russell and waited for just one moment for him to get on. After Russell had entered the Duel Hog Arta drove out of the Factory and into the Zombie infested Parking lot. There he proceeded to do donuts until he saw the bus also start to pull out of the Factory. Once the bus was on the move Arta made a mad dash for the Highway with the bus trailing close behind. Arta looked in the back seat to make sure that everyone was there. In the back seat he found someone that he was not expecting. It was Yuuto with a blank look on his face. "So you still have a survival instinct, that's good." Arta said to him, without expecting a response. "So Russell where to from here, I don't know much about Detroit so I would know nothing about and possible locations we could go to. How about you?"

----------------

Thirty miles away and two and a half miles up an airplane was flying straight for Detroit. The man on the plane put down his cake and ice cream drink, better known as 1 part Rumchata and 1 park Cake Vodka, and looked at the hostess. "How much longer until we are within parachute range?"

The Hostess looked at him. "About another five minutes, would you like me to get your parachute for you sir?"

The man gave a smug smile to the hostess. "Yes, that would be nice."

The Hostess gave him a deep bow. "Certainly Mr. Paragius."

"Another strange move, sage." Pener remarked, still not getting the point that his True Sirs had effects that were actually connected despite having figured out their main advantage, the top of his deck. "I don't really understand what you are trying to get at here, but...I activate the quick-play card Forbidden Lance, preventing my Omega Dragon from being affected by effects at the cost of 800 ATK points!!!"

As Bassil closed in on one of the monsters responsible for its power, a lance suddenly appeared out of nowhere and stabbed its back, though it didn't do anything to save its weaker fellow Red-Eyes from being destroyed (ATK 0 -> 4000 -> 3200).

"Even its weakened state is now more than a match for your formal combatants." She pointed out confidently. "Sage, I have already determined the next card I will draw, which will boost my dragon's ATK to over nine thouasnd. Since you cannot defeat me, perhaps you may consider surrendering yourself-"

Then the bone of her now-dead Red-Eyes Black Dragon whacked her in the face. It would've broken her nose had she been a normal human, but instead it just flattened it and turned her face into something not unlike the fictional Lord Voldemort. For a moment, anyway, before her face simply regenerated back to normal. But although it regenerated, darkness quickly gathered around her eyesight to the point where she had to focus to see her opponent, while Lucas on the contrary could still see her with only 1/4th of his vision blocked by darkness (LP 3800 -> 1700).

She frowned, but ignored it and glared at the sage, wondering what his next and possibly final move would be.

------------------------

"My opinion of you is irrelevant." Archetype Earth said, rather harshly despite the calm tone it maintained, but she waved for a few more drones to prepare her something to sit in. When asked for something to eat, one of the drones suddenly whipped out a ridiculously outdated phone, possibly a BlackBerry, and dialed in the number for the nearest McDonalds. Apparently, the food was going to be delivered. "You are not the first nor shall you be the last, my dear Cynthia."

Then she suddenly moved on to another topic.

"Are you aware of the origins of the Orichalcos?" She asked. "Obviously, it did not come from Earth. No, it came from another planet, but even that wouldn't be accurate enough. The comet 'Faust' itself is a planet, the result of an alien planet getting too carried away with a particular natural resource of theirs. The Great Leviathan was not always a god, he was only trying to save his people by becoming the core of the planet. But over time, he became insane and corrupted, which is the reason why the Orichalcos brings only evil and not good. Perhaps if someone with a good heart were to replace this poor individual, Orichalcum could bring out something different in the hearts of people."

Then she laughed, a maniacal laugh of pure evil, mocking this obscure possibility with absolute sincerity.

"But that is not what I desire. The truth is, I do not understand such feelings as 'love', and 'compassion'." The reptillian woman continued. "I can comprehend the concepts, but I am simply incapable of such feats. The only thing I desire is destruction, and yet we now have a contradiction, for the Earth chose me to be its Archetype, its champion." Her laugh faded away to reveal a twisted and distorted, somewhat dreamy smile. "Personally, I would never have gotten so far if the planet hadn't chosen me. Most of my powers come from the world, and it merely granted me the power that human dreams have made on their own. Perhaps you may have noticed that my abilities are similar to those of fictional characters 'Superman' and 'Son Goku'. These are no coincidences, for that is the vision of a champion for the world. Maybe if the whole world suddenly decided that a champion of the Earth is a janitor, that will be what my powers will morph into. Janitorial skills."

Clearly, she liked talking, if nothing else.

"Now, I'm sure we are both aware that the 'base' of this hastely-formed resistance has already been destroyed by zombies?" She asked, rhetorically. "I feel tempted to leave this place. However, a certain weapon is already there..."

----------------------------

Before Arta could drive the Duelhog away, crystals of false Orichalcum erupted out of the ground, halting its progress and even penetraing the walls from the sides, possibly impaling a few people. While it could easily be shattered, unlike true Orichalcum, it was still capable of slowing down the bus.

The golem walked over to Atsuko, its green eyes glowing.

"Cha.ra.rgva.er.my daughter." It called out. "Ysaf.ca.do Not worry. Evrithink will be ALriGhg."

Then without further warning, a large hollow false Orichalcum crystal erupted from the ground and closed the poor little girl in, taking advantage of her distraction at the sight of her 'mother', right in front of Russel and possibly to his horror. The false Orichalcum was then picked up effortlessly by the golem into the air with one robotic-moving arm, now having seperated entirely from the ground.

It turned its head slightly to look at Arta in the eyes while he was still inside the Duelhog, a look of heartless spite in its frozen myhtril face, before raising its free hand. It was about to fire out a laser capable of entirely obliterating all the remnants of the resistance, a large green energy ball starting to form. But before it could, Yuuto stumbled out.

Before it could, all the spirits that resided in Yugi Mutou's deck began to gather in a circle invisibly around the golem. As it fired its bus-destroying laser, in a flash of light the two of them were gone.

In a flash of light, a large laser ripped through the forest of the Spirit World, and all of Yuuto's spirits with it. And right afterwards, the golem 'shut down', the Orichalcum unable to continue controlling it from such an ethereal location. The young kid, still in a dreamlike daze, stumbled over to the now-motionless mythril statue.

Syria was practically oblivious to the carnage happening outside as she continued to wander her way through the factory, having become completely and utterly lost. The corridors now seemed abandoned as she hadn't encountered any others since the previous three she'd defeated and was feeling somewhat dissapointed that she had failed to act as a significant distration, she would have to try harder next time, perhaps find a zombie, whatever that was, since that did seem rather effective in grabbing the attention of humans.

In her wanderings she eventually saw something happened ahead of her and recognized Lucas, currently engaged in a duel with a she didn't recognize but had a wildly different skin tone than all the other humans, Syria found this immediately confusing but it seemed that the pair where busy and decided not to ask just yet. She looked up and down the field, first at Lucas and his collection of humanoid/animal monsters then at the his opponent and her huge black dragon creature, her expression remaining almost entirely blank. She turned back to Lucas, giving him a rather vacant stare.

"Do you require any help?" She asked calmly "I seem to have run out of people to extract souls from."

Lucas looked as his attack had connected and as the girls face had contorted in and out of existence it was quite a creepy site though in all honestly he could barely make it out visibly. With one of his monsters attacks going through he let out a little sigh thinking that one of her cards would have destroyed his monsters but maybe lady Penelope was smarter than he initially thought. No matter her instincts were right this duel is about to come to a close. He looked around as he heard a familiar voice make its way past the black mist that was surrounding the two duelist and without a doubt it was Syria. Her concerns were slightly touching even though there wasn't much affect in her voice.

Ah thank you but I'm just stuck in this life or death duel with this lady here so I should be fine he said to Syria calmly. Besides I think its time I show her why my deck is a threat. It sucks being underestimated. So on to Main phase 2 where the hilarity will begin. I activate the effect of my True Sirs: Nathan and you know what it does so let us not dilly dally with explanations. Let's see thanks to Illene and Nathan I've been able to get a good look at my deck here and I think I make a good guess as to what is coming up next. I know I should be getting a Night Beam, lets also guess Compulsory Evacuation Device, and finally the True Sirs Gideon. Nathan's oozing tentacles of darkness stretched out once again and revealed the cards the first two were correct but instead of Gideon it was another Nigelz. Hmph he said with a snicker as he placed Nigelz at the bottom of his deck. Now Penelope let us continue shall we. I activate the spell card Night Beam blasting your remaining face down cards and as you know, this cards effect cannot be chained to. I set one card facedown and end my turn.

He waits silently as the creature of darkness draws her/its next card and then he motions his hand to activate his trap. And now let the finale commence. I activate Compulsory Evacuation Device. Where I can choose one monster on the field and return it to the hand and I think we both know which monster I shall be picking. A large launchpad appears under Omega Dragon and Lucas stairs at Pener (really because its hard to see her) and wonders if her super card was something that could get her out of this situation.

Brian nodded, and waited for the helicopter to land, as he prepped his kit, and the energy cell.
"thank you miss, Iill get your armor fast and get out before the time is up. this should be interesting."
he walked into the roof entry, as he set his bike in the elevator, and closed the doors, letting it wait there while he moved down the stairs, heading for the armory room, and began setting up the power unit for the door. this was going pretty smoothly.

Arta was stunned when he heard the mind racking sound of metal being ripped apart. He looked back to see that the bus, which was carrying some 30 odd people was now full of, what appeared to be, dagger sharp crystals that glowed like an Orichalcos. "What the." Arta turned an looked at the Adamantium Golem. The giant beast then turned to Arta and charged up an Orichalcos energy blast. Before Arta could react Yuuto climbed out of the Duel Hog. "Yuuto what the hell do you think your doing?" What happened next not only shocked but relieved Arta at the same time. As the Orichalcos blast was fired Yuuto's duel spirits came out of their cards and absorbed all of the energy and deactivated the Golem at the same time. "Y-yuuto?" was the only word to leave Arta's mouth before both he and his duel monster spirits disappeared.

-----------------

"Sir we are now over the designated Drop Point. Have a nice trip Mr. Paragius." The Hostess gave him a smile.

"I intend to." Brenin winked at the Hostess, which made her turn bright red, and jumped out of the airplane. As he fell he counted to three. At three he opened his arms to let the wing suite catch the air giving him complete control over his movements. With the manuvers of a pro, he glided through the broken buildings and around the downed towers untill he found a 'semi' clear space to land. Making a sharp right turn he pulled the string releasing the large Ram-air parachute. As he floated down to the park he began to unzip his wing suite. When he hit the ground his wing suite, along with his parachute which was connected to the wing suite, fell right off his body. Stepping out of the wing suite you would think that he was just standing near it, with how clean and neat his clothes were. In the parking lot was a limousine waiting for him. Walking over to the limousine a butler opened the door for him.

"Mr. Paragius, I do hope that your flight went well." The butler looked at him with his usual stoic face.

"Better than could have been hoped for Richards. Have you been able to locate him?" Brenin gave Richards a serious gaze, something that he rarely ever did.

"Certainly sir, his last known location was in an old Duel Runner factory."

"Great then lets get moving, I would hate to keep Arta waiting any longer." With that Brenin stepped into the limousine and Richards the butler closed the door behind him. Richards got in behind the wheel and turned on the car. Switching it to hover mode, to get over the cracks and fractures, the butler set off for the old Duel Runner factory.

"Draw-"

But before she could finish her awesome declaration of the mere mundane act of drawing a card from her deck, a futuristic circle thing appeared beneath her Red-Eyes Omega Dragon, though greatly blurred by the darkness surrounding her. Her eyes widened in horror, and she reached her hand to it desperately, forgetting for a moment that this was a card game and that one couldn't simply interact with events when they are not an 'effect'.

And the card on her Duel Disk was suddenly flung back into her Extra Deck before she could move her hand to keep it on the field.

The card in her hand was a Monster Reborn.

But it was useless now.

She had already lost.

"Turn end." She whispered, not even sure if it was audible for her opponent.

Lucas drew his card as his eyes turned to an eerie green hew. Sorry Ms. Penelope I have been so rude this whole time I have yet to introduce myself he said as he he seemed to be powering up like a saiyan. This sage as you call him is named Lucas Matthews and I am one of the three swordsman of the Orichalcos. In your next life I hope you will learn not to underestimate us. As he spoke he walked forward and stood in line with his suited monster line-up. Soon all of his monsters faded into the shadows of this shadow game. As Pener undoubtedly looked around Bassil and Gerald had swept kicked her and dropped her to her knees and held her in place. Lucas in an hidden in the darkness spoke one command. I attack and wipe out the remainder of your lifepoints with True Sirs: Illene. Just then the large breasted woman walked out from the shadow directly in front of the kneeling Pener. Illene pulled her fist back and threw one might punch towards the herald of darkness. The punch stopped short of the face but it caused a wave of concussive energy that took the rest of her lifepoints down and simply knocked her head back.

When the Herald's head flew back she would see the sage standing behind and over her kneeling body. Lucas watched as her life points went down to zero and he looked at her solemnly. Its time to cleanse you of your impurity. With that he placed one hand on her shoulder and the other hand on her forehead resting his thumb on the center of the forehead and two of his fingers on the sides of her brain temple. The bright glow of the seal closed in on both of them and then it came upon her forehead. Within seconds it was over and he left his hands like magician does when he has made something disappear. I have now taken your [s]bending[/s] I mean soul...yes, yes, I said soul, everyone heard me. He looked around to make sure no copyright lawyers were around.

The Orichalcos inhabiting Cynthia's body toke a seat, and relaxed"McDonalds from what I can gather from this hosts memories, is made in quite a disgusting way, hmm.. hmm.. eeww.. do you know what they make their chiken with that is digusting, these humans I will never understand them..."she toke a moment to look disgusted, then gazed through the Orichalcos, to see the finishing touches of Lucas's duel, and arched an eyebrow towards Arche,"hmm, it seems that your Swordsman, are quite powerful, this one was even able to defeat this Herald of Darkness person, I guess I underestimated him, heehee," the Orichalcos remembered what Arche had said about her powers as an Archtype, closed her eyes and concentrated, opened her eyes, and frowned"why did you not transform into a Kuriboh, I thought you said if someone envisioned that your powers as an Archtype reflected what people thought of as a hero, and I thought of a Kuirboh, so hoop around, and make that annoying little squeak noise," the Orichalcos pouted again,"on to more serious topics though, all joking aside, what exactly are you, because you are obviously not human, and you are obviously crazy, but I only know because so am I." the Orichalcos turned to Arche, and gave her a lopsided smile.

"I am a human." Archetype Earth stated bluntly, tilting her head a bit.

While she understood the Orichalcos being's joke, the thing is that it took all the humans of the world to change her powers, and even then, they would have to believe it. But how could you possibly convince billions of people that a janitor can save the world? That he can be a champion of the Earth? Which is precisely why she was powerful, due to this unstoppable image of 'Superman' that people have created.

"And I am not crazy. To be crazy means to delve into a chaotically ambiguous alignment of which I cannot comprehend." She continued. "In fact, you could say I am the sanest of all, for you see; my heart is composed entirely of evil. I am incapable of goodness. Even you can understand goodness to some extent, but I will never be capable of it."

"You don't have a sense of humor do you? How sad, I was hoping for some entertainment, but I guess not..." the Orichalcos looked at the woman who sat across from her, what was she exactly, even the Orichalcos Spirit, didn't know,"darling, I'm not stupid, so unless all humans have a hidden reptilian appearance something happened to you, what was that exactly, I'd love to know. Also going on your point of insanity, can people who are evil, not be classified as insane? Even someone who is purely evil can be insane, there is no such thing as true purity all things have some sort of blemish, in truth nobody can be truly evil. My last question, would have to be if you are human how are you not able to emulate the emotions of love and compassion, all humans are able to correct, so if you cannot technically speaking you are not human." The Orichalcos contiued to stare at this mysterious woman, what a tough nut to crack she was.

"That is the very problem." Archetype Earth now had a distorted, disturbed look on her face. "I am true purity. An anomaly that trillions upon trillions can never achieve. I am not insane, because insanity requires a little goodness, a chaotic mess that has the possibility of goodness. I can only fall, fall, fall. If I go lower, it is impossible for me to go higher. I am the definition of evil."

Despite this presumable 'pure evil', she had a calm, neutral look on her face.

"There are trillions upon trillions of universes out there, but I am unique. I beat the odds and was born with perfection. Even now, that is the only reason why both the planet and the comet have both entrusted me with their prowess." She continued on explaining, and then went on to something else. "As for my appearance, well, once upon a time in Atlantis, the comet appeared. Slowly, everyone began turning into monsters but me. I was the only one unaffected due to my 'purity', but it was only a matter of time before the monsters attacked me. Desperate to save me, my father forced me to eat a piece of that Orichalcum, hoping its mystical powers could save me."

Beat.

"It did."

The Duelhog's sudden halt threw Russell off-balance, sending him and Atsuko tumbling out of the turret platform. As he landed, Russell bumped his head on the ground, disorienting his senses. Through his grogginess, he could just barely see Atsuko, now encased in false Orichalcum and in the hands of the Mythril statue. "At... Atsuko...?!"

Before he could register what was happening, the statue disappeared with Atsuko. Quickly coming back to his senses, the first emotion he could express was confusion, which quickly turned to fear. "Atsuko?!!"

~~~~~
"Is everyone alright?!" CJ Brat called out to the rest of the bus after the false Orichalcum had struck.
"CJ, seriously?" Shannon McKowen hissed, trying to tend to her husband's injury. "A little less than half of the people on this bus just got impaled, possibly being killed instantly, and you wanna ask THAT question?!!"
"Okay, fine," CJ replied, then asked once more: "Is anyone still alive and alright?"
"Well, you're taking this rather well, aren't you?" Carla said to CJ, smacking him upside the back of his head. She then turned her attention to Shannon and Triple A, noting that the husband was still rather calm, if not irritated, despite the gaping five-inch wound to the side of his torso. Shannon herself was using a strip from her business jacket to bandage the wound.
"He'll be fine," Shannon said to Carla. "He's been through worse than this before."
"Wait, this isn't the worst he's gone through?" Carla asked, a little bemused by this statement.
Before Shannon could answer, a knock could be heard at the bus's sliding door. Seconds later, Tom Seda forced his way through the door, followed by Enzo McKowen.
"You guys okay?" Seda asked.
"Didn't we just go through this?" Carla said in an aside to Shannon.
"I should have known," said one of the recruits, a hipster. "Joining a rebellion against some supposedly cosmic disaster, only to possibly get killed before we could fight... totally mainstream."
"Ugh," CJ grunted, rolling his eyes. "Out of all the people who could've been killed, a hipster just so happened to come out unscathed? Really?"
"... you were expecting me to die?"
"No, but I'm expecting you to shut up," Enzo barked at the hipster. "Anyone who can still move, get off the bus right now."
"But, the zombies--"
"Aren't there anymore," Seda replied. "Somehow, they just dropped dead. Again." His face clearly expressed his confusion.
"Woman and children first!" Carla blurted out, grabbing a few of the crying kids as she made her way out of the bus.
"Sheesh, what's with her?" Triple A grunted out as he gingerly got off next with Shannon's help. Eventually, all of the survivors were back outside.
It was here that Seda noticed Russell, now frantically looking all over the place. "Rusty, what's wrong? What happened?"
Lucas had gently strolled back into the fray of the main warehouse location after his battle with the dark one.
Well she was interesting, I guess I just happen to be more interesting that is all he said with a slight chuckle and shrug considering his most recent achievement. He looked around and noticed there was still a large amount of chaos going on, people frantically trying to escape the terror apparently a large segment of the group was impaled good job to whoever did that one, and as an added bonus the red headed girl from before has been reclaimed. Hopefully, that's what is happening here. Now what am I supposed to do. Well Syria and I have made great contributions in this battle it wouldn't be too much to ask if we stopped here. Though I did teach my children and grandchildren to be over achievers so I have to practice what I preach. Lucas took this moment to walk around the warehouse surely there is something here combustible logically speaking of course. If there was battle suits and helicopters there should be a random explosive device laying around somewhere. If I'm lucky maybe I can find a self destruct button. He continued to walk around chuckling at the misfortune of the opposing team.
Yuuto looked around, finding himself in a forest. Then he looked up to see a redheaded girl trapped inside some sort of green crystal. It didn't seem to be much thicker than glass, but it was still too difficult to break through by merely punching it or anything, unless she wanted to break her fists cracking halfway through it. If she had a chair, breaking through it would be much easier, but eh...no such luck.
"Hello?" He asked weakly. "I am Yu- Yuuto Mutou...and you are?"
He was still uncertain on what to do. His spirits had sacrificed themselves to save him, as well as the resistance as a whole, but he didn't really The girl was still suspended above a motionless mythril statue, the tentacle by its neck unmoving for now.
The reason that I challenged you to a duel is because I know you have the ability to win, but you seem to lack the confidence. You put on an act of Bravado, when in fact your still the scared little boy who is hoping to have his father's help on winning. You need to learn to stand on your own two feet before you go and say you can challenge a member of the Orichalcos cult. I will not send you away but I do demand that you rethink your options here, are your truely prepared for the possibility of loosing your soul in a war for the earth?
He thought about that guy's words for a moment, before smiling. I think I understand now. Then he looked back at the girl, wondering if she would do anything to free herself after the attempt of capture by a statue of her own mother.
Victoria/Tyrrhia roared to the three. "IT DOES NOT MATTER! I SHALL END THIS HERE AND NOW! I ACTIVATE THE GATES OF DARK WORLD!!!" As she plays the Field Spell, the mass of shadows behind her begins to reshape itself into a huge door that loomed over the battlefield. The portal opened slightly to show pitch-black on the other side, and a purple fog started to roll across the field. "AND NOW, IT'S EFFECT! BY BANISHING QHAMARRINH FROM MY GRAVEYARD, I CAN DISCARD A CARD, THEN DRAW A CARD, AND I DISCARD GRAPHA, DRAGON LORD OF DARK WORLD!" The gate sent several shadow tendrils at the monster's Duel Disk and pulled out the banished card, but Tyrrhia discarded her card. "AND HIS OWN EFFECT ACTIVATES!" Next to Victoria, a spectral demonic dragon with skull and bone armor appeared. "WHEN DISCARDED, HE CAN DESTROY ONE CARD ON THE FIELD, AND I CHOOSE EMPRESS OF PROPHECY!!!" The evil dragon roared, and pointed his claw at the Empress, who was about to be engulfed in shadow and dragged under.
The Pelican descended down through the clouds to reveal Brian's destination: the Duel Arcadia tower. It lowered itself down to the roof and opened its hatch up for him to leave. "Good luck." Ringmistress told him over the loudspeaker.
Natsu attempted to find Atsuko in the chaos as soon as she noticed the girl missing, when she saw that a bus had exploded. She dashed off in the direction of the attack to see a green glow off in the distance, and followed it. She eventually reached a park where Yuuto and the statue of Itsu, no longer a statue, stood while Atsuko was trapped in a crystal. "Give her back..." Natsu growled, clenching her fists and staring down the golem.
Yuuto, curious, touched the mythril Itsu statue and suddenly they were enveloped in white light. When it had faded away, they were now back in the real world not too faraway from the resistance base (or what was left of it anyway), within a park. Now back in a place where it could be controlled, green light intensified all around the statue body before fading away. The boy blinked, slightly disorientated.
The golem was reactivated. Its head rotated a bit to see a young boy touching it for some strange reason, and quickly encased him in false Orichalcum to prevent him from escaping before he could react or anything else of the sort.
Then it turned to the newcomer, Natsu. The two of them had identical faces and slightly-identical bodies, but the difference was still easy to tell. The mythril that represented the golem's 'skin' was turning into a greener color than the rest, giving it a more realistic appearance.
"FaKE." It clattered, its mouth moving like a wooden puppet. "Me are real so.rae.so. yoU must be MAST BE DHA frAefd liE LIeR PlAsssstIC FaKEEEEEEEEE ImPOStORRRRRR I am Itsu Fudo." Its sentence ended with a line perfectly pronounced in the exact same voice and tone that Itsu used.
Natsu glared at the statue and looked into her glowing emerald eyes, trying not to let the words affect her. "So what if I'm not the real deal? You aren't either. You're just a shell possessed by the Orichalcos. That was a good try there, but you are just a puppet, able to mimic her, but not be her. You're even more phony than I am!" However, the clone was simply going on a hunch, and was hoping the partial bluff would pay off. Furthermore, Natsu was a bit concerned as to what the real Itsu would've thought of her presence. Did she even know Protheus had created a duplicate of her? And how would she think about there being two of her?
All Atsuko could feel was pain as the energy within the crystal kept her immobilized, unable to even cry out from the agony she was feeling. She wished someone would rescue her from the monster wearing her mother's form.
"Sh*t, no!" Idris' Empress was helpess as it was dragged beneath and destroyed, leaving Idris' field completely empty "Damnit,"
Why the hell is it that we outnumber her 3 to 1 and we're the ones fighting just to stay alive? Idris thought to herself Heck, we still don't even know who she is. A sudden, and rather morbid thought struck Idris as this thought crossed her mind Crap...And Archetype-Earth is probably even tougher than she is, and we can barely beat this woman 3 on one!
Lucas seemed to have finished his duel quite easily without Syria's help. She followed Lucas back to where the main carnage seemed to be taking place, with much of the building's occupants attempting to escape on various vehicles but getting trapped by the orichalcos rising from the ground. She observed this from a distance for a while with a keen interest, the orichalcos had many interesting properties and this fascinated her considerably. However her investigations would probably gave to wait for the moment as there were other things to deal with at the moment.
"Sir we will be arriving in about three minutes to our destination." The old butler said to him from the cabin of the limousine.
"Very good Richards, I should like to see how things are going for Arta. Last I heard he was headed to Detroit for some reason," Brenin looked out of his window at all the downed buildings and broken roads and made a grim look. "Though why anyone would want to come to such a run down..... can this even be called a city?"
"Yes sir it is, watch this video." Richards pushed a button on the dashboard and a screen popped out in front of Brenin. Then pushing another button a recording started to play of the news earlier that night. As Brenin watched he was stunned to see an areal shot of a man wearing white have a building fall on him. Then to see the same man pulling a woman out from the fallen building.
"Yep that is Arta alright, never caring for his own life, only that of others." Brenin pressed a button on the side of the door and turned off the video screen.
"Sir we have arrived." Richards told him.
"Ah good, I need to go kill Arta now." Brenin opened the door and stepped out, what he saw was almost as exciting as his parachute jump.
-----------------
"Are you alright?" Arta asked the people coming off the bus. He knew it was a cliche thing to say to people who had just been impaled by green crystals. "Does anyone need some help, I have been trained in first aid." Though no one has never needed my help. He thought. As he was about to go and help anyone who might have needed it a limousine pulled into the parking lot and a very suave man in his twenties stepped out. "Brenin?"
Lucas had taken his lovely tour of the factory and he did do some mild looting, thus was the habit of an archaeologist in a such a foreign place that was bordering on ruination. He made his way to the center of the warehouse where not much has changed calamity was still ensuing and the bad guys seemed to still be winning. Syria seemed to be steadily observing the situation meaning she is content and not in harms way. Lucas couldn't see or sense Carla and Sayer meaning their infiltration into the enemy ranks has gone off without a hitch. He successfully sealed the soul of the "Herald of Darkness" as he knew it. So what else was there to actually do? After realizing this he let out a huge yawn and made his way back to his car.
There were some bodies and rubble in his way but thanks to his super strength he couldn't be bothered. Mere kicks and shoves cleared his path for him. It was funny as he was walking out of the warehouse he looked over and saw Titan boy and some new stranger. All irrelevant, his seal did not even glow in warning of their presence. After a short stroll he made it to his car and noticed that the darkness that he had spewed out earlier no longer tainted his car. Well doesn't that make Consuela's job easier. He said as he got in and emptied his bag on the passengers seat and explored its contents. Hmm I wonder if Michael would like any of this stuff. He probably could use it at his little fallout shelter bar area. As Lucas started the car he felt a little sad about leaving Syria all by herself sure she was a super robot and didn't require sleep or anything but still...ugh seriously sometimes having a proper upbringing sucks he said followed by a yawn.
He drove straight into the open warehouse and pulled up next to Syria not caring who saw and he ended running over some people who just happened to still be alive. He rolled down the window looking at Syria. Hey, are you staying here or you wanna come home now this old man needs a nap...like big time?
"How can you definE pHONy?" The golem shot back, its humane tone temporarily switching back to a rocky senselessness as it ended its sentence. Then all of a sudden, it threw the crystal holding up Atsuko into the air, but for some reason it ended up suspended in midair. It might've been telekinesis or it might've been the power of the Orichalcos, it was hard to tell. The golem was starting to slowly beginning to look more and more human, its movements slowly becoming more fluid, but still enough to give it off as being made of solid mythril. "This is me. I am me - therefore, I am Itsu Fudo. Are you?"
The last question came out in a taunt, and an emerald blade extended out from its right arm as some sort of creepy appendage. It seemed as though the golem wanted to duel....
----
Meanwhile, Pener was blinking, though motionless on the ground. A dark-colored rune was beginning to form around her on the floor.
At this the Orichalcos Spirit arched an eyebrow,"Do the humans not define themselves as having some sort of compassion, or kindness, so if you do not have any compassion that makes you inhuman correct? You would also have to have humanity, which if I am correct is not a characteristic of pure evil? What are your intentions with using Faust, because if your going to destroy the planet I would like a little warning, because you might be able to survive the destruction of Earth itself, but I cannot, also crashing the meteor in the Earth to destroy it really is idiotic, where would you go even if you did survive the destruction of your own planet. Also cuntinue with your life's story you still haven't gotten to the part were..."the Orichalcos Spirit paused momentarily looked Arche up and down then continued,"where all of this happened," she said indicating the reptilian appearance.
As Syria observed the events ahead of her she spotted Lucas' car driving towers her before pulling up beside her. She looked over as Lucas rolled to window down and offered her a lift back to his place. Syria paused for a minute to consider the offer. Though she would prefer to stay and watch the action did seem to be dying down and there wasn't much more she could really do here, plus she remembered Lucas was an archeologist and he would perhaps have various items or documents which she could consider studying.
"Okay then," she said before climbing into the back of Lucas' car.
