Return of the Orichalcos (Finishing/PG-13/IC)

Recommended Posts

Idris was slightly taken aback when Pener summoned her Red Eyes B. Dragon, almost immediatly evolving it to metal darkness form. Idris wouldn't really have been surprised that Pener would be able to summon a monster like that but to summon one that powerful so quickly was quite intimidating, espcially as the dragon began to practically tear apart the black hawks with no remorse at all.

"I think your dragon needs house taming," Idris remarked as she watched the creature tear another helicoptor to shreds.

As she watched the felt something approaching in the distance and turned about to see two more dragons approaching them at high speeds, one dark blue and the other crimson.

"Are those what I think they are?" Idris muttered.

They are, Timaeus sounded almost smug We may escape these men yet

Idris looked up as the dragons flew past, her eyes widening as she recognized the girl riding one of them.

"YURI!?" She cried in disbelief "Oh this day just keeps getting better."

Now outnumbered and outmatched by four powerful dragons the remaining black hawks had quite a task on their hands, as Idris watched the pilots seemed to become hesitant to approach lest they get torn apart by the red eyes.

Using communications from Ringmistress that the battle was over, Lion Tamer kept her Pelicans above the cloud cover and turned them towards downtown Detroit. One For The Money had plenty of fuel left from its jaunt earlier that day, and Two For The Show was even better outfitted. Using the cover of night, she set down the dropships down on the two most stable skyscrapers in downtown Detroit and engaging their camouflage suites. Using cameras mounted on the ships in conjunction with Solid Vision projectors, the Pelicans created a sort of cloak over themselves, making them appear invisible. Combined with some brief emissions of cooling air to mask their heat signatures, and the dropships were not undetectable to the forces below. She then told the passengers in her Duelhog. "Tell the dragons above us to head back to base. We're in the clear."

Meanwhile, an unfamiliar voice echoed into the minds of the three Chosen Ones, clearly feminine, with a soft tone and an upper-class British accent. All three had a glimpse of a face shrouded in shadow, with only the area around her eyes visible. Her skin was very pale, deathly so, one might say, and her eyes had purple irises, but where white would normally be, there was inky blackness. <Sleep, young ones...I have much to speak to you about, and very little time to do so...Sleep...>

Castle wasn't very happy as he stared into the eyes of his subordinate, unable to comprehend what he had just reporting happening to the squadron he sent out. "The Black Hawks were attacked by WHAT?!?"

Cynthia nearly burst out laughing at Lucas's comment towards Syria,Oh come on he of all people must know how that sounds, I always knew deep down Lucas was a pedobear. She got up not wanting to start laughing in Lucas's face, and turned walked towards the car. Once she got in she turned to Carla who was still in the car, making sure she was out of Lucas's earshot she said,"Alright please tell me you noticed that comment by pedo-Lucas." she looked at the older woman hoping that someone would pick up on that.

Lucas apparently said something to make the girls laugh of which he had no idea but still laughter was good, right? Anywho as they were all in the car Lucas couldn't help but realize that he had a car full of beautiful women well beautiful surface wise anyway. His car was filled with a sadistic prostitute, a treasonous prostitute and well something that wasn't a women. Hmm I'll have to get those back seats disinfected he thought to himself. While driving down the street he looked down for a second and reached to turn on the radio. It was at that moment he heard explosions echoing through the air. They weren't loud booming explosions just the faint echoes of something that was happening in the distance. It was at that moment his watch started glowing. Clearly the Orichalcos stones in his watch were responding to something. He instinctively wanted to inquire about the others and if anything was happening to them. Especially since someone stuck their stone into their forehead, but alas the recently evolved prostitute was there and there seemed to be this unspoken agreement of not telling her about the promotion.

Hmm it looks like my new watch here is responding to my urge to get sleep he lied out loud since the green light was pretty visible. Ironically the closest person was Carla whom he decided to drop off first and while he did not dare go inside what had to be the dungeon known as her living space. He waved goodbye and everything. Cythia however lived in a suite meaning she actually lived close to him...small world. So after see that from the outside her hotel looked fine he made his way back to his own home with Syria.

Cynthia waited until Lucas was out of sight, and listened again, to hear the sound of distant explosions, No, way in hell am I walking that far, Cynthia thought, luckily a Prius was parked not to far from her.

"Of course, the only method of transportation is a is an out of date dumb car," Cynthia said mocking the car's nickname as a smart car. Someone sat in the driver seat of the car, which would be no problem once Cynthia used her feminine wiles on the driver, hopefully it was a man. Cynthia opened the car door, not bothering to knock, and a dead body slumped out."That's pleasant,"Cynthia said grimacing at the corpse,"oh well things happen," Cynthia said climbing into the relatively undamaged car.

She immediately knew how the man had died, he'd broke his neck on the steering wheel. She turned the keys in the ignition, and proceeded to drive towards the gunfire. Unbeknownst to her though she was headed towards the same road the Warthog. Driving a little more the gunfire began to get louder, and Cynthia could make out four dragon-like shapes in the sky and were those Blackhawks!? She was so engrossed in her observations that when she finally got close to the dragons she failed to notice the Warthog driving underneath them, and swerved out of the way at the last second. "What the hell!?" Cynthia yelled and gunned it after the odd car.

Carla was actually surprised that her apartment wasn't trashed anymore than it logically should have. Sure, it was now on the ground floor as opposed to being on the fifth floor, but other than that, it was more or less intact. "Hm. I wonder if that friend of Lucas' had anything to do with this," Carla mused to herself aloud.

"That could be a possibility. Perhaps I'll look into that for you."

Carla nearly jumped out of her skin. Trying to see in what little light was in her apartment, Carla instinctively activated her Duel Disk, prepared to take down any opposition. Her only paused once her Orichalcos Stone began to glow, as if to keep her from doing anything reckless. In the rose-colored glow of the Stone, Carla could finally see her uninvited guest: a slender man wearing a beige longcoat and red beret, the top half of his face covered in bandages.

"Wait... you...?" Carla began to say, slowly beginning to recognize the man. "Sayer, right?"

The man took a moment to politely bow to Carla. "I am flattered that you remember my moniker. That alone brings great warmth to my heart."

"Right... and, how did you get in my apartment?"

"... well, it wasn't difficult; the door was ajar."

"Ugh, I'm too tired for this crap right now," Carla groaned, suddenly reminded of her buzz. "So, what are you doing here, anyway?"

"Merely to congratulate you and your colleagues on your new ranks, madam," Sayer replied. "Of course, I would have joined you at the bar, but... well, I'm not much for social gatherings."

"And so you figure the next best thing was to break into my apartment, right?" Carla asked bluntly. A thought then occurred to her. "Wait, how did you know we were at the bar?"

Sayer gave a brief, low chuckle as he raised his left hand, conjuring forth an orb-like object resembling a red eye with black sclera. "I have eyes everywhere in the world. They allow me to see anything and everything."

"... okay, ew," Carla blurted out, grossed out by the thought of being watched constantly by large floating eyeballs.

"My apologies, Miss. I do not wish you distress," Sayer said.

"Whatever. So, is that all? You're just here to congratulate me? If so, consider me congratulated, and yourself excused," Carla said, gesturing toward the apartment door, which promptly fell off of its hinges as if on cue. "... guttammet."

"Very well, Miss," Sayer said. "Just know that I will be taking on a bit more of an... active role now that the Swordsman have been determined. Adieu, Miss Bellerose." With that, Sayer stepped away from Carla and into the shadows on the other side of the room.

"Hey! The door's that way--!" Carla began to say as she walked toward where Sayer had gone, only to find that he had suddenly vanished.

The helicoptors seemed to be retreating for the moment and Idris slumped back into her seat in relief, Timaeus vanishing from the sky and returning to his card. Idris felt rather exhausted after summoning Timaeus twice in such a short space of time. It was then that something flashed before her vision, like the memories leaking into her before but different, this one showing a figure obscured mostly in shadow. Idris sat up suddenly, her mouth open as if about to say something before her drowsiness overcame her and she slumped back into her seat, out cold.

Syria's eyes moved upwards as the stone on her own forehead began to glow slightly, not only that but she could practically feel the energy from it throughout her head, it was quite an unusual feeling. She turned her gaze to the distance where the sounds where coming from, her own curiosity piqued. It wasn't until Lucas had dropped the other two off and it was only him and Syria in the car that she finally spoke up.

"If the orichalcos is reacting then that must be something important," she said aloud "I wish to know what it is."

Though Lucas was clearly tired and it was past his nap time he realized that you only get to live once. So he decided to aid Syria in her quest to discover more information. He let out a slight yawn and turned the car around and started heading in the initial direction of the explosions and since he had so much time on his hands now he might as well see what Syria was fully capable of. Curious since you really aren't organic is there a way you could somehow activate a GPS tracking thing or something and tell me where exactly to go. I mean lets be honest, if you wanted too couldn't you somehow scan radio waves and find out what Castle's troops are up to. Lucas wasn't 100% sure that this was Castle's doing but after that martial law moment the only thing that could yield some form of explosion is him and his super itchy trigger finger. It was either that or he returned to HQ and realized someone had been helping themselves to his private stash. Well I was going to replace it...eventually...maybe...no...no I wasn't it was mine he thought to himself well letting out a small snicker. So what do you think is causing our stones to act up?

Brian sighs some relief. at least they escaped. he slumped down looking sad, having lost his bike.
" if they actually have someone take a look at my bike we may be in some trouble, but hopefully doing what I did will keep them from finding us at least, though the cards in the back compartment, if they get in will give someone some fairly powerful support."
Brian got down to his backpack, opening it and began going through it, as he began his new deck design to fight this seal problem, pulling out some cards he brought from his dad's. Brian shut his eyes for a second, the weight of the situation finally hitting him. his father was gone, but not forgotten. he took it with new resolve, adding his father's old cards into the mix.
"if there was ever a time to use my father's discoveries, it's now."

The helicopter that Yuri was aiming for couldn't have retreated at a worse timing. Yuri was just about to swing straight for the door when all of a sudden, the copter had accelerated forward, causing Yuri to miss completely, and additionally resulting in her scream of rage transforming into a scream of fear as she was plummeting towards her untimely death. Then the shadowy figure appeared out of nowhere and informed the three chosen ones to sleep... once again at a bad timing.

'Critias... Hermos... help... me...' that was the last thought that crossed Yuri's mind before she finally fell to sleep.

Whether Yuri was to crash upon the pavement, she didn't know. Whether Gabriel and Hermos were to catch her as she fell, she didn't know. Whether Critias would have to swoop in and save her at the last second, she didn't know. However, there was one thing that Yuri did know. If she were to wake up with broken bones and blood on her body, she was going to hunt that shadowy, pale British-speaking figure down to the ends of the earth, and kill her with her bare hands.

"YURI!!" Gabriel shouted out in horror as he saw Yuri wildly miss her intended target. Mentally urging Hermos to fly faster toward the falling girl, Gabriel outstretched his arm, intent on catching her before she became a smear on the asphalt. Unfortunately, even at the speed they were going, Gabriel couldn't see how he could reach Yuri in time, unless....

The masked wrestler made a sudden leap off of Hermos' arm, the push-off giving him enough of a boost to send him flying toward Yuri. In spite of Hermos' distressed gasp, Gabriel succeeded in getting hold of Yuri, just as he, too, was beginning to lose consciousness. With the last of his inner strength, Gabriel held Yuri close to him, cradling her as they plummeted down.

By sheer luck, they landed with a thud on the Duelhog's turret platform. This was among the last things Gabriel could remember before losing consciousness, the others being the sight of the unconscious Yuri within his arms, and the relief he felt at having successfully saved them both....

The Duelhog pulled back into the facility, both Ringmistress and Lion Tamer making sure to cover their tracks. All three of the Chosen Ones were unconscious in the vehicle, their dragons nowhere to be found...

Within the Realm of Beasts and Spirits, or a dream of such a place, a proud and magnificent castle arose from the forest. This same castle was where Yugi, Kaiba, and Joey had received their Legendary Dragons cards 30 years ago, and it was the same location where the new generation of Chosen Ones, who were sprawled out on the stone floor of the main chamber of the castle, acquired their own copies. However, instead of the cheery daytime they had entered in, the Realm of Beasts was within its night. A single chandelier high above the floor cast many shadows across the room from its myriad candles, and additional shadows entered through the windows. It was altogether unsettling.

Once the Black Hawks had begun retreating, the Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon was about to attempt to attack and pick a battle with the Legendary Dragons when it suddenly found itself being drawn back into its card of source. It disappeared, the pictures on both of Pener's cards returning, the young herald of darkness having finally realized that the two new arrivals were allies and not enemies. Then all of a sudden, two humans slammed onto the roof while Idris fell asleep, and some kind of panel brought the two humans on top inside. They were both asleep as well.

Frowning, she didn't quite understand, but she could sense two things. One; that their minds weren't in their bodies for the moment. And two; there was a trace of shadow magic and darkness. A small, faint trace.

She shrugged and climbed out of the vehicle, to be met with some kind of factory.

"Um..." The Egyptian girl with the same hair as Protheus looked around, hesitating in this unfamiliar environment. She considered climbing back into the Duelhog.

Syria stared at Lucas with a confused expression, having next to idea what he was talking about.

"I'm afraid I am not capable of either of those functions," she said, sounding only slightly sorry "I do not even know what a 'GPS' is. I do have an internal compass but that merely allows me to know which direction I am facing relative to the planet's magnetic poles."

She stared at the scene in the distance for a moment before it suddenly ended, the stone on her head returning to a dull state as the skies cleared.

"Oh...How dissapointing," Syria frowned.

****

Idris opened her eyes, staring upwards at the chandelier above her casting shadows across the cieling. She sat up slowly, looking around for a moment before recognizing where she was and letting out a low groan.

"Great, not here again," she muttered "What is it this time?"

She got to her feet, looking down at the others, Yuri and some muscled freak in a lion mask. She poked him experimentally with her toe to see if he'd wake up.

"These are the people I'm partnered up with?" She asked aloud, more to herself than anything "A crazy suicidal aztec and a guy with a mask fetish?"

Yuri woke up with a start, just as Idris had started speaking her last sentence, and instinctively felt her body for injuries. The first thing she noted was a flowing nose bleed, but as she tried to stop the flow of blood, she felt a distant crack in the arm she used in the attempt. That could only be the feeling of a dislocated shoulder.

"OoooOWW!! God, my shoulder!" Yuri yelled in pain, trying to refrain from squirming, "How did I even...?!"

She paused, just as she reached an epiphany. She was currently unaware that she had broken a kneecap and sprained her back as well, but even then she'd realistically suffer even more damage to her body if she'd fallen all the way down into the asphalt like she thought she had. That could only mean one thing; Gabriel must've made some attempt to save her, but didn't quite make it. Therefore, realistically he'd suffer from similar injuries, if not worse.

Yuri didn't even try to get up on her feet. Instead, she reached for Gabriel's hand and caressed it, hoping he'd come to.

Gabriel stirred briefly, mumbling something about "five more minutes", barely aware of Idris and Yuri prodding and touching him. The minute his intuition told him that something was "off", Gabriel awoke with a start. The instant he sat straight up, a sharp jabbing pain ran throughout the right side of his upper body; the impact from his fall onto the Duelhog appeared to have fractured his right arm and some of his ribs. Otherwise, he was relatively okay. Fighting back the pain with all of his willpower, Gabriel turned his head toward Yuri. She looked to be in just as bad a shape as he felt, yet she was otherwise still alive.

"Yuri," he sighed out in relief, thankful that his last second save made a difference. He then turned to see Idris standing behind him, looking over the two of them on the ground. The wrestler made an attempt to get to his feet but, once more, a pain struck him in his right leg, forcing him to take a knee. "Dammit... again?" It was then that he took notice of their surroundings: he was once again at the castle where he first met Hermos, except now they were all in the main chamber, the only light being cast from the chandelier above. "What are we doing here...?" he mused to himself. He then began calling out, "Hermos! Are you here? What's going on?" He wasn't entirely sure if there was to be a response, but he had to try.

"Guys, I'm telling you," Russell explained to Tom Seda and CJ Brat, "Gabriel went off flying on a dragon!"

"Well, believe us, Rusty," Seda replied, "it's not that we don't believe you, it's just--"

"--it's just, I don't believe you," CJ said bluntly. "No offense, bro, but for all we know, what you saw could've just been Solid Vision."

"Yeah, well, unless Gabby has a Duel Monsters Card of himself, I doubt that was the case. I mean, when was the last time you saw a Solid Vision projection carry a human being 50 feet in the air?"

"He has a point," Seda said to CJ.

"Well, still," CJ replied, "even if that were the case, the question now is, "Where the heck is Gabe?""

Before Russell could say that he didn't know, the Duelhog drove up to the facility. "Hold that thought," Russell blurted as he approached the Duelhog, taking brief notice of the Egyptian-looking girl who had just gotten off before his attention was drawn to the turret platform where the unconscious Gabriel and Yuri were. "Gabby!!"

"Guess that answers my question," CJ muttered as he and Seda rushed over.

"Fu fu fu...Welcome, Chosen Ones...welcome to your trial..." The voice from before echoed through the shadow-filled chamber. Behind them, a figure cloaked and shrouded in darkness extended a pale hand with purple fingernails and stroked the wrestler's cheek. "The powerful warrior, a champion of honor, glory, and noble tradition..." As quick as she appeared, she vanished, and, again, she emerged and wrapped her arms around Yuri from behind her. "The time-displaced servant who worships a goddess she does not know is one..." Once more, she was gone as soon as Yuri would react. "And their 'leader', a scholar caught between the past and the future..." This she whispered into Idris' ear, giggling before she faded for a third time. She then booms out from all around the trio. "What makes you worthy to be the masters of these dragons? Why were you chosen to be the representatives of these majestic beasts against the one who plans to poison your world?"

Cynthia contiued after the Duelhog for a while until she realized it's course was the Duelrunner Factory. "Oh hell no, not going back there," Cynthia said to herself while turning the car around to return to her suite. The drive was longer than she had expected, and getting lost a few times didn't help either ,it was a ruined city of course she was going to get lost everything's not going to be exactly the same, so Cynthia flipped on the radio.

"In other news the International Pole Sports Federation is petitioning to get pole dancing inducted as an Olympic Sport," the newscaster said, the propoganda aparantly over.

"Beautiful, I knew one day my talents would pay off, looks like I'm becoming an Olpympian," Cynthia chuckled to herself as she said that also changing the radio station.

"Starships were meant fly, hands up and touch the sky," the voice of Nicki Minaj came through the radio.

"This is acceptable," Cynthia muttered coming closer to her appartment. She came on to the block of her apartment seeing her suite, in which looked like the back left portion of it was caved in. "I don't think anything important was in there, oh wait I guess the need for a new pole will be in order," Cynthia said remebering she had a port-a-pole in one of those rooms. Cynthia drove parking the Prius near the hotel entrance.
In her suite she locked the door, not wanting any disturbances so she could rest. Cynhtia flicked on the TV which was showing, an episode of the popular Family Guy comedy. Cynthia placed her deck and two Orichalcos cards on the table, when her Orichalcos started glowing. A fuzz seemed to ring in Cynthia's head, for a while and then with a huge burst of pain she could finally understand it the Orichalcos talking to her.

"Hello, young one, we sense your sorrow, your pain, your anger and we can help," the Orichalcos whispered into her ear, those words were the same thing it had said that first day when she had been inducted into the Orichalcos. Cynthia closed her eyes, and when she opened them, a green light shown in the dark blue, now almost black irises.

Lucas drove around slightly disappointed with Syria's lack of gadgetry but then again she doesn't really know what some of these things he was inquiring about were so there was a slight chance that she had them but she didn't know that she had them. In this instance he would most likely have to get things done the old fashion way, using his eyes and ears, starting to get retro in some aspects. As the pulsations from the stone in her head faded Lucas' only grew more faint it seems that one of his artifacts acted as some sort of compass.

Hmmm...don't be disappointed just yet my dear robot I think we will find out what is going on in a little while. What Lucas didn't know is that the artifact was really pointing to stripper recognizing her in some sort of danger (mainly because she swerved in front of an armed vehicle, with a Prius). While Lucas drove the car he started to wonder about this opposition they were coming against. Clearly something was somewhat off in perspective. The comet was approaching within less that two days shouldn't the resistance be a little more proactive. Instead the bad guys seemed to be hammering down the offense with Arche destroying the city, Castle taking over what's left of the city, and now of course 2 of the knights are going to what is most likely the HQ of the resistance and hopefully cause some destruction.

My life has really gotten exciting in the last couple of weeks. Lucas said out loud talking to Syria in the back of the car. What about you? What was your life like before this series of events.

"Well, at least they're alive,"[ Idris muttered to herself as the other two woke up, apparently covered with injuried "What happened to you two? Argument with the pavement?"

Before she could get a reply a voice cut her off and she turned about, expecting to see someone else in the room but finding no one. She hear the voice again, this time from behind her, and she turned about in time to see a dark cloaked figure vanish from behind the masked stranger, appearing next to Yuri. Before Idris could make out any more details about her she vanished again and she felt the figure's presence right next to her as she whispered in her ear, vanishing again before Idris could turn around and get a good look at her.

"Who the hell are you?" Idris asked, for all her knowledge on the shadow realm and everything else she had absolutely no idea who this person was "What hell kind of connection do you have to the legendary dragons and all this?"

****

Syria's frown increased a bit at Lucas' question and she found herself averting her eyes to the floor.

"I'm afraid I do not remember my life before," she said solemnly "My memories where corrupted when I crashed here, I remember little of my life before I arrived here. I can recall minor details, but that is all. I am hoping that the arrival of the comet will allow me to recover my memories."

"You are no goddess, if that's what you're implying!" Yuri spat, before slowly rising to her feet, albeit having difficulties due to her injuries. "Gabe... I'm sorry," Yuri said in a sorrowful tone, "I didn't mean to get you hurt so badly. If only I prepared for such an early retreat from those flying machines..."

She was cut short when Idris had spoken, addressing that woman that randomly decided to vanish on Yuri. Yuri wasn't too impressed with the whole disappearing act, and even less impressed when the woman decided to ask the three what made them worthy of being chosen.

"Oh, I see... you think we're too weak to be their champions, don't you?" Yuri asked spitefully.

"Their minds aren't in their bodies, so don't bother chatting with them." The Egyptian-looking girl tossed at Russell and whoever else approached the sleeping trio. They might have noticed that she was trying to avoid her eyes seeing any futuristic part of the factory, and that she looked like she had a headache whenever she did see anything futuristic. Shifting uncomfortably by the Duelhog, she then looked at Russell. He might've noted both the absence of the Protheus Maximus guy from earlier as well as her hair's uncanny resemblance to his.

"Now, I would appreciate it if somebody would inform me about this world." She stated, looking for someone to answer. "I'll need to know all about it first if I ever to...conquer it..."

Taking a split second to glance at the futuristic dropship, she highly doubted this and felt like she had nausea, even though she was supposed to be an Omni, an immortal.

--------------------------------------------------

Archetype Earth had her right hand on a table, where she was making strange spiderlike movements with it. In fact, she was simply controlling the piece of Orichalcum she had hurriedly planted in Atsuko. It hadn't been the original plan, of course, but it had never been an effective plan anyway. She would simply have to recapture her, and this time hurry things along. Luckily, while she still made her movements with her hand, she could now kill two birds with one stone.

The piece of Orichalcum crawled over the mythril body of Itsu Fudo....

The strange Orichalcum-based creature, having now sprouted legs and acquired a spider-like appearance, skittered up the silvery body, eventually finding a place to grip at the back of the neck. Its head suddenly grew out into three arrowhead-shaped segments that clamped together, like mandibles. The new projections that started rotating around a central point, a whirring sound emitting from the new tool. The little crystalline monster took a quick look to make sure no one was around before plunging its new drill into the mythril, sending sparks from the contact and emitting a high-pitched whine, but little green lightning bolts arced from the drill as it started whatever machinations Archetype had in store for Itsu's body...

"What on--?!" Gabriel uttered as he felt the fingertip gently stroke his cheek, turning around sharply in an attempt to see this British-sounding woman. Not only did he fail to see her before she vanished, his sudden twisting motion brought more pain to his ribcage. The next time the mysterious woman appeared, Gabriel managed to get a brief glance at her cloaked form, arms wrapped around Yuri from behind before she vanished again. It was during this time that Yuri made her apology to him.

"It's... alright, Yuri," Gabriel grunted out as he, too, attempted to get to his feet once more. "I think I might... start getting used to it, actually," he added, a weak grin crossing his face. The smile quickly vanished once the mysterious woman seemed to question their legitimacy as Chosen Ones.

"I'm not entirely sure what you're getting at, madam," Gabriel replied, "and quite frankly, I don't think I ever will. That said, why ask us? It was Hermos and the others that chose the three of us. Or, perhaps you have doubts of your own?" Gabriel added, once again citing Hermos' phrase. "Is that the reason you've called us here? To alleviate your doubts about us?"

"What are you talking about--?" Russell began to say to the Egyptian-looking girl, but at that point, the scenery around him appeared to go dark, any everyone else around him disappeared; the only other thing he could see was Gabriel and the other two girls who were also unconscious. "What the...?"

"She speaks the truth," said a voice behind Russell. Somehow, a cold chill ran down his spine upon hearing the voice. He turned around slowly to see a werewolf-like humanoid dressed all in black standing behind him, his eyes staring at the three Chosen Ones in the Duelhog.

"Who--?"

"Azrael Muramasa," the wolfman replied to Russell's unfinished question, "but I'm not the important one here. Apparently, you seem to be connected to the Russell from our dimension. I merely came here to confirm that theory.

"I'm inside of your mind," Azrael replied, once again answering a question that Russell didn't even begin asking. "No one on the outside can see or hear this discussion we're having--"

"I don't care!" Russell yelled. "If you've already gotten the answer to your question, then you can go! Just... stay out of my head, all of you!"

Unfazed by Russell's tirade, Azrael went back to looking at the Duelhog--more specifically, at Gabriel. "... the Russell from our world... he said their was once a "Gabriel" that he knew, as well."

For some unknown reason, Russell's mind went numb. "... wait... ... "once"...?"

"... I suppose I've said too much...."

"Rusty? Hey, Rusty!" Russell immediately snapped out of his trance to see Seda shaking him. "Did you hear me? I said, "We have to get them to the infirmary"."

"Huh? Oh... right," Russell uttered quietly, the conversation he had with Azrael still fresh in his mind.

Arta got up from the bed and walked out. He was woken up by all the noise. "What is going on? What is with all this commotion?" It was then that Arta noticed the three unconcious people on the duelhog. Arta ran up to Russell. "Russell, what is going on here, what happened?" Arta turned to look at Seda. "When did they get here; who are the other two women with Gabriel? On top of that where is Protheus?" He asked, his eyes pleading for an explanation.
