a bad post
Cynthia was haunted by nightmares during her sleep causing her to be qiute fitful. If someone where to look on she would like she was having a seizure as she convulsed at the nightmares, plagued by the images of her mother dying over and over again and Cynthia could do nothing to stop it. As soon as they began though the nightmare's ended leaving her body perfectly still. A tear slid Cynthia's face, but a new dream began where she was found herself in front of 'Faust', Cynthia knew it couldn't be real though beacause the comet morphed into a giant dragon. The dragon stood before her for a few seconds and then spoke, Why do you betray me child I do not ask much from you, I gave you needed to exact your revenge, yet still you betray me, and for that you must be punished. The dragon reared up it's head up and a ate her. That's when Cynthia woke up screaming.
TotalObelisk
Idris was still in a state of shock and barely even noticed the events going on around her. She barely looked up when the pelican landed and three people entered, one being dragged by another and the third halfway to passing out. However despite her current state she couldn't drown out the sudden onslaught of voices suddenly filling the cargo bay. Eventually she couldn't stand it any longer and clapped her hands over her ears "WiLL YOU ALL SHUT THE F*CK UP ALREADY!" She barked at the top of her voice "IN CASE YOU DIDN'T NOTICE THE WHOLE F*CKING CITY JUST TORE ITSELF APART!" She paused for a moment to examine the cargo bay's newest occupants, her gaze flickering between the boy with the spirits floating around him, the girl in and corner and the other guy on the floor. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. **** Syria observed the chaos below her, untouched by the seismic activity thanks to her coat's anti-gravity field but the people on the ground where not so lucky, many where tripping over each other, getting crushed under falling trees or sinking into the earth as it shook itself open. And yet despite her technological advantage Syria made no move to try and help any of them; she merely observed, that was her purpose. She floated across the ground out of the park in time to spot one of the human vehicles float up of its own accord as well. Syria watched it go before proceeding in the direction she'd been going out into the streets to further observe the carnage. It didn't seem as though any of the humans noticed her floating above them as they where all too preoccupied with the current disaster, this suited Syria fine, it was far easier to observe without interruptions. Her gaze eventually found itself into the distance where an airship of some kind was taking off out of the rubble, however Syria didn't recognize it, it was more advanced than anything else she'd currently seen on this planet and so naturally it caught her curiosity. She found herself torn all of a sudden, whether to continue exploring the destruction of the city or to follow the airship and discover more about it. Merci
"Perhaps you have a point there." Protheus admitted to Idris, sighing a bit. "But there's no use complaining about the past. All we can do now is continue on and hope for the best. This girl," he motioned at the currently-sleep cultist. "Will be the key to rescuing that reactor, which supposedly has enough power to do...something. Perhaps we could use it to counter the force Archetype Earth is using to change Faust's orbit....hmm..." He was then lost in thought, formulating plans and thinking about their next course of action. A review. He needed to review the current situation. Right now, he had a reckless Aztec fish out of time who was still coming to terms with the current situation, an Egyptian descendent who can't even cast spells, a cyborg-immortal hybrid who hasn't yet been taught fully how to use her powers, a useless doll, a cyborg-immortal-human hybrid who isn't of much use, a Spartan descendent who faints, a highly annoying spiritseeing descendent of Mutou, and a woman who- ...screams. He walked over to her and did a minor chop on her neck, the same one he had subjected Yuri under. Cynthia fell back deep into sleep, but this time her dream was a relaxing alternate universe where her parents had been normal people without any second wives, cheating, or prostitution. Yugiman64
Yuuto had been weighing weather or not to tell Protheus about his duel. Not caring about the current conversation, he decided to interrupt it and tell Protheus. "She did. I dueled her. I got her to take her seals and Divine Serpent out of her deck. I thought I would definitely be able to win then, but she beat me in 2 turns. I had no idea that was possible." Yuuto looked down in shame. "If only you were in my hand little buddy. You would have finally saved the day." Yuuto's started to lightly tear. He looked up and screamed, "I WILL DEFEAT YOU ARCHETYPE EARTH! YOU HEAR ME? I WILL DEFEAT YOU!" Yuuto looked down again and began to cry at his loss, at all the souls she must have taken, at all the souls the cult must have taken. Then he just screamed and the millenium puzzle started to light up. Yuuto dissapeared from the starship and was now inside of the millennium puzzle. Yuuto floated in darknes "Where am I?" he shouted into the darkness. A calm, yet dark voice replied "You're in your puzzle Yuuto. I am the Pharaoh Atem and I will help you defeat Archetype Earth." Yuuto floated around in the darkness a little. He opened his mouth, about to reject, and was then transported back to the starship.
a bad post
Cynthia awoke, because of Little Rightous's screaming. She frowned quite confused as to what he was screaming about. "Good Lord I swear kid I've had a very trying day today I swear if you don't shut up I will take my knife back and cut your toungue out," Cynthia growled. "Honestly last thing somebody wants to wake up to is a little brat screaming, oh as for a more serious conversation you," Cynthia indicated the man who seemed to be in charge,"were about to answer my questions before I had my... episode, so if you kindly would do that now." "Also what are you going to do about this head wound, because judging by how disorientated I am I seem to be losing a lot of blood," she finished. Cynthia finally became aware of her surrondings and noticed one thing that seemed out of place the life-sized statue of a woman. "Oh uhh one more thing darling what's with her, oh and while I'm at it why do you need me?" Cynthia asled feeling most of her questions were out in the open. Love of Ghibli
Lucas made it back the headquarters which of course as you would know is perfectly fine. However his car was filthy all of the dust, blood, debris...probably tears too if you took a blue light to it, just stained the car to where he could barely see. Well there must be some kind of garage in here I know Castle doesn't park on the street. He looked around still being distracted by the screams and panic he decided why not try the magic field spell it works for everything else he thought jokingly. At that moment the Orichalcos card glowed a florescent green glow and he saw a tunnel shoot up from the ground as somewhat of a secret way to get in. Well that makes sense it responds to wants. Arche is pretty useful I should thank her when we meet again. He drove into the tunnel and decided to see how far this card could go so he thought really hard about the car being clean. Thought the car didn't magically get clean once he reached the end of this mysteriously long tunnel there were drones. A lot of drones who like rats and other animals sense Arche's increasing power and must have instinctively headed for safety. These drones came with water, soap, and hoses. Oh my goodness, why did no one tell me we have perks to this job? Oh this is great. He parked his car and grabbed his tote bag full of items and made his way to the inner sanctum...It seems he was the only one of the favorites who had this idea...Well most of the others were younger and therefore foolish enough to try to survive these matters on their own and not think clearly. It was odd though this place was completely unaffected by that disaster does she have that much control? Do all Atlanteans do that? So many questions so little time only two days left if not sooner. He made his way to a lounge which must be used by Castle and his troops because it looked waaay to...classy for any youngster to come up with. He turned on the giant TV and saw the world broadcasting the disaster as it was still happening. Which is odd because he can't feel anything even though he is in a hideout underground, but then all worries were over when he found..the bar area. Yes he picked the right team. Merci
"You had her use her Divine Serpent and three Orichalcos layers....AND YOU'RE STILL ALIVE?!?!??!?!" Protheus shouted at him, in disbelief. Then he began to laugh. Laugh, not so different to the way Archetype Earth had laughed at Yuuto earlier. Laughed at this impossibility, at this thing that []just didn't happen. "Alright kid, enough joking around-" A presence. A presence. A presence. A presence. A presence. A presence. A presence. A presence. A presence. A presence. A presence. A presence. A presence. A presence. A presence. A presence. A presence. That presence. "Prince Atem...?" Protheus muttered, almost in disbelief. Then he looked back at Yuuto, and a wide grin began to form on his face for some reason... "With or without him, Yuuto Mutou, you and I are going to have so much fun together." Then he facepalmed as Cynthia was aroused by Idris's shouting. "You were supposed to stay asleep for eight hours..." He muttered, but decided to face her questions anyway, even if prematurely. "You are to live with your head wound until someone here is kind enough to heal it. Perhaps..." He reluctantly turned to the clone. "Itsu Solace once had this special magical ability, or at least as Izumi Fudo. It was to heal people. A Psychic power, but I'm sure this clone must also be able to access it..." Then he turned back to the cultist. "You're here because we're gonna use you as a spy as soon as you recover. You are going to aid us in bringing down Archetype Earth, reviving Itsu Solace, and saving the world."
TotalObelisk
"Yeah, whatever," Idris replied bitterly, having spent most of her energy on her other outburst "Just leave me alone." Truth be told, there was much place in the cramped cargo bay to go and be alone, especially with the massive motorcycle taking up most of the room and definitely not helped by the aquisition of three more passengers. At least one of them as quiet, though that as probably because he was unconscious. **** The siesmic activity eventually ceased and Syria floated down gently to the ground to observe the carnage from ground level. By now her coat and hair where covered by dust but she herself was completely unharmed. She made her way through the streets, looking around at all the upturned cars, the crumbling streets and the rubble from collapsed buildings. As she wondered around she eventually came upon an area that seemed completely unaffected by the quake. It took Syria a few moments to realize that it was the gathering place for the orichalcos cult. Feeling curious she entered through the secret staircase and into the main meeting area where she found a lot of what the other referred to as 'drones' hanging around completely oblivious to the carnage outside. She eventually found her way to the lounge, finding it already occupied by the older human, looking surprisingly unscathed himself. Her gaze was imediately drawn to the television screen on the far end of the wall showing news coverage of the recent disaster. The footage showed the destruction from a vantage point in the air, focusing on the letters carved across the earth by the cracks caused by the quake. "This was...Diliberate?" Syria found herself musing outloud, wondering what kind of creature could possibly have the power to cause an earthquake at will. Yugiman64
Yuuto was shocked at what had happened with him and Atem. He had a spirit inside of his puzzle. Yuuto weighed whether he should trust Atem or ignore him as he did. He realized his grandpa was told him stories about a pharaoh named Atem. Could they be the same pharaoh? "Hey could you tell me why exactly were going to have fun?" He looked at Kuriboh who was shivering. Yuuto could tell he sensed the spirit too, but the shivering wasn't completely bad since his eyes were full of happiness. The same was with Watapon and Marshmallon. The spirits returned to the deck and Yuuto started looking through his deck for horn of the unicorn again. "Where is it? Ah! Found it!" He took the card out and Kuriboh and placed them on his duel disk. "If she won't heal you, I'll try. If you want." Yuuto sat down, Kuriboh, because of the horn, fell down to the floor. a bad post
"Fine, you can give it try whiney, first since when do you have shadow powers, second I wasn't aware of the healing powers of Horn of the Unicorn if it has any at all, oh and finally have you even done that before?" Cynthia asked these questions with a concerned look on her face as she didn't want some third-rate healer try and heal her and end up as a toad. "Well since you seem to be the only one with the vague ability to heal, but so help me if I end up with a unicorn horn I'm amking shish kebab, really though I'd rather have the look alike do it," Cynthia said pointing to the girl that the in charge guy had indicated. "I have 1 last ittibity little question though what are all your names as I am really confused," she said wanting to stop calling people girl and boy, "oh and by the way kid you dropped your card indicating the Kuriboh on the ground." "Anyway kid here's the deal if look alike can't or won't fix up the head injury you can have a crack at it," Cynthia said to the boy.
Premier Alexander Romanov
Natsu moved over, shoving Yuuto out of the way to access the head wound. "Hold still. I will try and see if I can fix this." She took in a deep breath, then exhaled, clearing her mind as she focused on the wound. She placed a hand just above the wound, and held it there, concentrating on trying to mend the damage. Slowly, the blood retracted into Cynthia's head as the skin growth accelerated and started to stitch itself back together. Within a couple minutes, Cynthia's head was fine. "Rest." Natsu commanded, then went to work on the Spartan. Pandora lifted off, retracting the landing gear and closing the cargo bay doors now that everyone was stable. "Next stop, the workshop." She typed in a few commands, and the path to the workshop was illuminated in her eyes.
Thranduil
Arta awoke, he was simi aware of his surroundings but it still took him a moment to register the fact that he had crawled on to a pelican drop ship. Arta looked over at the now kneeling woman healing the girl's head injury. " When you get a chance think you could..." Arta paused a moment to catch his breath. "could use that to fix me up. This loss of blood can be a real problem ya know." Arta gave the woman a half-hearted smile. Arta then looked at Yuuto."By the way my name is Arta. Not sure if I told you this or not but thank you for the help with the girl." Arta looked at the girl and gave her a soft smile. "Glad to see your okay..." Arta said as he lost consciousness again.
Yugiman64
Yuuto looked at Arta. "I'm Yuuto. And it was no problem. I love to help. I'll fix you up." The spirit of Kuriboh lifted up and touched his horn to Arta. Kuriboh started to concentrate hard. Yuuto put his hand on Arta's back so his ability would work with Arta. A huge light shined out from Kuriboh as he tried to heal Arta. "Should just be a few more seconds." Yuuto encouraged. Kuriboh was starting to look drained, so Yuuto switched him out with Watapon who continued the treatment as Kuriboh rested. The light shined again, this time from Watapon. When the light stopped Yuuto put Watapon back in the deck and looked at Arta. "Feeling better?"
Kingdom Xathers
Perhaps it was sheer coincidence, but Carla was able to find shelter inside one of the DWF's Tour Buses, along with most of the other wrestlers and a few random audience members (thanks to Shannon McKowen's quick thinking, she was able to have the referees activate the buses emergency hover mode to avoid the magnitude of the quake). "Everyone alright?" Tom Seda called out to the passengers of the bus he was on. "It seems that, right now, the earthquake has finally calmed down, so we should be able to get you all back onto safe ground--" Seda voice was immediately drowned out by the clamoring audience members, with shouting such as, "WHAT SAFE GROUND?!", "We can't just go back out there!!", "What about my mommy...?", etc.. Meanwhile, on another bus, Shannon McKowen was pacing frantically, close to a full-out emotional breakdown; in the confusion, it seems that her father, Enzo McKowen, did not manage to get on one of the buses. "No!" Shannon shouted at CJ Brat before he could say anything, "No, I will not calm down! My father is still out there somewhere--!" "And what the hell are Gabriel and Russell, huh?!?" CJ snapped back. "And it's not just the two of them, or your father, that are still out there! What about these other people, who family and friends could be buried underneath all of this rubble?!?! Did THAT thought ever OCCUR to you?!!!" At this point, Shannon was reduced to a shrieking, sobbing mess. "Y-you're ri-right...! I... I'm sorry--!" In the midst of Shannon's blubbering, Carla coolly strolled up to the General Manager and promptly slapped her across the face. "My god, princess, you're not exactly setting a good example for these people," Carla calmly told the DWF heiress. "I know, I know, I may seem like I'm overstepping a lot of lines, especially since you don't know me, but I will tell you this: these people need your help to get through this, whatever that help may be. Okay?" she concluded, gently carressing Shannon on the head. "You've gotta keep your cool if you want to help anybody." Somewhat pacified by this woman's intervention, Shannon attempted to take a few calming breaths. "... you... you're right," she said to Carla, "You're right, you are absolutely right... thank you...." "My pleasure," Carla replied coyly as she returned to where her seat was.
Premier Alexander Romanov
Atsuko didn't seem very happy, as she hadn't even activated her Duel Disk, and simply scowled at Albatrum. "No. Just no. You really don't get it. I didn't want to duel you, just find out why you were talking me. And now we're both stuck in this Seal of Orichalcos, because you couldn't take a hint!" She crossed her arms and glared into the hooded being's eyes. "You can't force me to duel. That's the flaw in your plan. I know enough about Duel Disks that they can't possibly continue unless I continue my turn, and since I will not, we are now going to stay here until something happens." As if on cue, the earthquake struck, and the dormitory quivered, peoples' screams filling the air along with dust from the wreckage. Merci
As Viktor rode on the futuristic automatic Orichalcum-powered jetplane, an automatic voice spoke to him, furthering the explanation of the Seal of Orichalcos. "The Seal of Orichalcos," It explained. "Was originally based on the arenas and battles that the Atlanteans conducted. Therefore, if one were to hypothetically activate the Seal of Orichalcos, to continue the game of Duel Monsters is only optional, as you could then simply switch to a game of chess, or monopoly, or even a mere debate competition. Once it is recognized by the Seal that a player has 'lost' the game in its entirety, their soul shall be taken. Thranduil
Arta's eyes fluttered about in his head as he continued his REM sleep state. In his dreams he was once again lying on the amber grain in the land of his ancestors. He looked up at a Spartan soldier who was standing over him. Get up on your feet. The decedent of a Spartan should never be resting. So long as people need protection a Spartan's blood will never still. Get up and face your destiny. You have been given the power of your Spartan ancestors, use it well. NOW RISE TO YOUR FEET! Arta felt himself being pulled up by some unseen force and dragged away from the warm air and comfort of the amber grain fields. Arta's eyes shot open and he (literally) jumped up from the cold metal floor. Arta looked around the room at the startled faces of everyone on the drop ship. "Oh, I am sorry did I scare anyone?" He asked nonchalantly. Arta smiled his usual big smile. "Please forgive me I just had an interesting dream. It is nothing to get to worked up over." Though in his mind Arta questioned if it truely was a dream or had he actually been back in time. It all felt so real. Love of Ghibli
Lucas was busy taking his time watching the news and doing some well deserved drinking. The drones had just finished washing his car and for drones they did pretty good. If there was one truth in the world it was that those mindless zombies were good for some manual labor. He decided that he might as well take a tour and get all acclimated because it seemed as if he would be here for quite some time. At least until Arche allowed people to live again at some point. He decided to walk out into the hallway and noticed the very tree girl from the park had made her way to this place. Well this very meeting answers a lot of questions about her already. Since she seemed so lost in thought it was about time he introduced himself...the stripper seemed to have gotten away fine and Lucas is a lot more civil than that. "Hello there.. he said making himself known so it wouldn't seem as if he had tried to sneak up on her...why did you decide to partake in cultish activities you don't seem the type?
TotalObelisk
Idris chose to try and ignore the endless chatter around her as it would only make her mood worse, it was aggravating how calm people could be after a sudden earthquake tore apart an entire city. She was trying not to think about it but it was hard, her thoughts kept drifting back to the sight of the city ruins below them, all the while hoping that her grandfather was still alive even if she hardly ever got along with him, he was still family after all. She took her deck of Tarot cards out again and began flicking through them, reciting in her head what each card stood for to try and keep her mind off the recent disaster, this proved rather futile when she got up to the tower card, the card that represented chaos and changes. Where the bloody hell where you when I was shuffling you about before? Idris found herself asking the card in anger You're supposed to warn me about these things so why didn't you warn me!? She put the cards away in frustration having failed to calm herself down and merely chose to stare at the floor. **** Syria looked up at the older human as he greeted her. Syria paused for a moment to stare at him, tilting her head to one side as if in thought. "I came here to investigate the Orichalcium comet you refer to as Faust," she explained "This group has the closest ties to it so it is best suited for my observations. I am afraid my memories are corrupted beyond that, I remember little of anything before I came here, only that it is my purpose to...Observe. a bad post
Cynthia awoke with a start because of the young man, who seemed very familiar jumped up. She was seriously starting to hate those sleeping spells those weird duelists where putting on her. "Alright," Cynthia started making an announcement,"anyone who tries to put me under with a sleep spell again is going to get there arm broken, also you Kuriboh boy don't come near me ever unless direly urgent, because your rightous energy is way to strong for me and it makes the Orichalcos act up which makes sick, so don't go near me, finally you still haven't all introduced ourselves I would at least like to know the name's of me kidnappers." Merci
"Who shall I choose as my Three Swordsmen?" Archetype Earth asked, mostly to herself, as she walked along the conquered hallway of the Duel Arcadia Tower. Carla was a good candidate, and so was Albtrum. Lucas might fit, but she was rather reluctant to choose him due to his old age. No, she could not choose Lucas, for his age would wear him down. Ah, but what about dear Syria? Syria was an alien entity, and would fit her task well. Not only that, but it could also prevent her memories from returning. Cynthia was out of the question, being too weak for her standards. Alexander was doubting the power of the Orichalcos, so he couldn't be one either. Perhaps she could select Kori, merely for irony, but no. Knowing him, he would rally the whole cult against her. If anything, Carla was a definite yes. Albtrum, the Archetype wasn't sure about. He was a good match, yet he could also be quite erratic at times. The whole point of the Swordsmen was to earn trust within the cult. She could select Atsuko, but it was too soon, and she would fit the title of a queen better anyway. And thus the list of candidates was narrowed down to Carla, Albtrum, Lucas, and Syria. Carla, a definite yes. But as for the latter three, she would have to think about it. Albtrum was erratic, Lucas was old, and Syria was mysterious. Each of them possessed a hindering trait... "Ah." She muttered, sensing dual things; Kori coming to betray and defeat her, and Albtrum activate his Seal against Atsuko. Both were things she would have to involve herself in. ------------- "I am Protheus Maximus, herald of darkness." He introduced himself to the recently-awakened cultist. Then as she asked her question, he pointed to himself somewhat in confusion. "Familiar...me?" Protheus looked at Idris's cards for a moment, and after thinking for a bit, held out his hand. "May I borrow those for a thirty seconds?" He asked her.
a bad post
"Herald of Darkness huh, nice I think you might be my favorite right now, familiar though no," she said pointing to Arta(whose name she didn't know yet), "he's the one who looks familiar. These cards," Cynthia held out her deck,"of couse just don't band them, see Protheus is not shy you all need to introduce yourselves to me the hated Orichcalcos member, so whose next?" Merci
Protheus took hold of her deck, and looked through it, before meeting the Seal of Orichalcos. It was entirely written in Enochian, the supposed language of the angels that John Dees and his colleague Edward Kelly had recorded in the late 16th century. It was supposedly the Holy Language, the First Language of God-Christ, the Language of Angels. And although it's highly doubted and disputed, it is nevertheless legit. But he couldn't help but find it interesting that this language, Enochian, was what composed the Orichalcos. Perhaps Enochian happened to be the language of the Atlanteans... He still waited for Idris to reply.
Love of Ghibli
Lucas noticed the girls speech as her words lacked any sort of human empathy he could immediately deduce the answers to the rest of his lingering questions. Oh a robot, my friend made one of those once, he married it. The rest of us considered it a sex toy but to each his own right? He said taking a sip of scotch. This could easily have been Castle's private stash, but who cares sharing is caring and besides Castle probably wouldn't notice with the whole natural disaster happening throughout the city right now. Lucas being an archaeologist loved it when people or things in this case said they would "just observe." The statement is already moot point since your exact presence at any given event has the probability to change the outcome of the given event. Of course the probability is higher in some events than in others but still there is that probability. For a cultist though one cannot just sit back and observe. "So you just watch then, well that's a pretty odd statement isn't it? I mean you have to interact at some point being on this side because we only function by siphoning the souls of the living. And as far as I know Alexander...sad little boy is the lowest soul collector we have. So that means you've taken some souls right? And if you did take souls that means you're probably pretty decent at the card game that seems to govern society nowadays correct? Lucas was having fun. He was talking to a machine that lacked human empathy, emotions, or concern so it should be pretty good at answering questions without getting flustered. TotalObelisk
((gonna assume you're referring to Idris since you accidentally said Syria in your other post)) Idris looked up at Protheus with a puzzled look on her face before handing the deck over to him. "Knock yourself out," she said. Again with the introduction routine, she thought as she glanced briefly at Cynthia This really is turning into alchaholics anonymus. She heaved a sigh and averted her gaze again, remaing on the floor. "My name is Idris, family's descended from the guardians of the ancient court and follow the traditions of the ancient egyptian sorcerers blah, blah, blah..." she paused for a moment "And as far as I'm concerned it's all a load of out of date bullcrap." **** Syria tilted her head at Lucas' question, a slightly puzzled expression forming across her normally blank face. "I do more than merely observe, I choose to interact with society so as to better understand it." She explained "However...I am having difficulty understanding what a soul is, as far as I an tell it is some form of energy source harvested from humans using the Seal of Orichalcos but there are things I still do not understand about the concept."
