~Call of the Haunted~
Well, it /still/ requires YCMaker, but it's something very easy to be done. Require registration to use the card maker. No, this is not going to stop people from coming here. But it'll increase the number of members. It might be even too much, but, along all of those card maker users, a lot of forum members may be born and make this place active again. It should be very easy to require registration to use the card maker. It's certainly easier than the update YCMaker did weeks ago. There can be problems with this though, like the server we're using might not handle so many registrations, but it'd really help everything, honestly. Alice Moonflowyr
Not a bad idea. But it might backfire and turn more members away from the cardmaker than it would attract.

Alice Moonflowyr
Doesnt always work. Its the registration itself that turns people away. Plus, you already need to register to save cards. Isnt that enough?
~Call of the Haunted~
Registration is a very quick process. That wouldn't be the problem.

I used to do that when I didn't register for this site.
Enma Ai
Okay... time to role play as a new visitor to the site; >Google: Make yugioh cards online free >Find Yugico (or whatever its called) >Be like "awww yeah, this is awesome, but I want a place to not have all the watermarks n stuff >Find YCM >Registration? wtf, probably need to pay. F*** this. Templates look ugly aswell. >Goes back to any other competing site -- Good idea, you already need to register to save cards. Only thing that would be awesome is if the whole cardmaker got an overhaul. Scrap all current templates for nicer ones, incl. Xyz. Hell, any graphic artist on this site would volunteer to make the templates. YCMaker has just lost all passion for this site. I can only assume he'll keep it for the money he makes or sell it to someone, hopefully like, Labrocca; who'll likely switch us back to MyBB and make the cardmaker a f***ing beast. Lunar Origins
YCMaker would lose money. Losing money is bad. Registration turns people away. Trust me.

[/quote] Which is why I hope he sells the site to someone like Labrocca, who offered to buy the site before. If any decent coder like lab, then the cardmaker would be up to date in a few days, and possibly even have new features.

I was going to buy one of his sites from him in the past. I wish his bid for the site had been successful.
