I completely forgot about this anime it seems, the last episode I watched was probably 5 or 6, but I think I got the gist of it merely from the gifs in LZ's signature.
Without giving away any spoilers, should I prioritize revisiting this?
You should probably get to watching it.
The anime is way past everything that happened in SAO.

The ALfeim Online arc doesn't have timeskips like the Sword Art Online arc did.
Well....technically it did. Since it skipped the Jormungandr part then it did skip a few hours.

Edit: Thought this was interesting. In the LN the slug-things are gray with orange eyes. Wonder why they changed it to purple and orange. *shrug*

I didn't like any of the .hack series' but this is really good. 1 question tho and idk if anyone has the answer
What is the reason Asuna and Kirigaya (question is mostly about Asuna) are alive after kirito beat heathcliff in-game? My only theory is that, as was revealed with the revival stone, people who die in-game are not actually killed irl for about 10 seconds. Thus, Kirito must have defeated heathcliff within 10 seconds of Asuna dying in-game, which saved her life because the nervegear did not receive the kill command before the game ended (and thus, did not receive the command at all).

Is this correct? Is this result meant to be unclear? I don't read the light novels or anything, just watch the anime. (I'm also caught up to episode 21 so feel free to say anything about the anime.)

Yui was able to sense it, Asuna’s “Player ID”. It was more than enough to know that Asuna was trapped on top of the World Tree. I flew directly up the World Tree without a single moment of hesitation but at the very last stretch the system barrier, without fail, prevented me from passing through. Next Episode, Sword Art Online Episode 22, GRAND QUEST.

Awesome Silver Crow and Black Lotus swords.

Why am I literally crying right now? I even watched another anime episode after this...

Also, I finished the volume of LN I was going to finish, but haven't gotten around to SAO yet like I was going to.

Kirito needs to use that Silver Crow sword somehow. I don't care how he does it, it just needs to happen.

Am I the only one who was legitimately impressed by the animation during Suguha's confession? It was fantastic, and is probably one of the best sequences in the show because of how well it was animated, and it makes up for how Kirito's face was during the earlier parts.

Was the statue on the right Jurota Kosugi? Because if so, ERMAGHERD DERKNERGHTMAHN.

Here's hoping these next three episodes wrap things up nicely.

Since the final episode is called "The World Seed", we can expect it to wrap things up nicely. Honestly, for being the worst arc plot-wise, ALO does have the best ending imo.

You can expect a lot of action in the next 2 episodes, at least. Also, the last episode will show us if they set up for a second season or not. :S

That action was cool. I just wish the series had more of it earlier on >.>
And boy did that whole confession feel uncomfortable, but what melodrama isn't?
Can't wait for the cool conclusion coming up.

if that makes any sense

Today's episode was packed with action. They always cut the episodes off before I would by like a scene. :S
I can only assume that there should for sure be a third season after Railgun gets its second. At least it is actually up there compared to what could be thousands of others.

I am glad to see Index, Kagerou Days, Accel World, Hyouka, Oda Nobuna, Haganai(I am technically actually "reading" it), and of course, what am I in this thread for? SAO.
