New Archetype: Moonsworns [WIP/Advice and Critique Desired]

[b]... yes, I know, their name is merely a "Lightsworn" knock-off, but just hear me out.


This archetype is based somewhat on "Wulf, Lightsworn Beast"; in fact, in RPs I've actually given Wulf a cousin named "Farkas, Moonsworn Archer"--who is the main inspiration for this archetype and was once a Lightsworn himself before ex-communicating.

Anyways, the archetype focuses on Special Summoning high-powered monsters when cards are sent from the Deck to the Graveyard. Some members of the archetype aren't as powerful, of course, but they also have effects that assist the archetype by milling and recycling.


[color=#ff8c00]Farkas, Moonsworn Archer[/color]

LIGHT/Lv 4/Beast-Warrior/2000 ATK/1400 DEF

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Once per turn; You can inflict 200 damage to your opponent for every monster on the field. This card cannot attack the turn you use this effect. During your End Phase: You can return 2 "Moonsworn" monsters from your Graveyard to your Deck; Special Summon this card from your hand or Graveyard, then send 1 card from the top of your Deck to the Graveyard.

LIGHT/Lv 4/Beast-Warrior/2100 ATK/300 DEF

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. When this card is sent from your Deck to your Graveyard; Special Summon this card from your Graveyard, then destroy 1 card your opponent controls. This card cannot attack or be used as a Synchro/Xyz Material monster during the turn this effect was activated.

DARK/Lv 4/Beast-Warrior/1800 ATK/1500 DEF

When this card declares an attack: send 1 card from the top of your Deck to the Graveyard, and if the card sent to the Graveyard this way was a "Moonsworn" monster; this card gains 400 ATK during damage calculation only.

DARK/Lv 3/Psychic/Tuner/1000 ATK/1950 DEF

When this card is attacked: target 1 monster on the field; switch that target to face-down Defense Position. During your End Phase; return 2 "Moonsworn" monster from your hand or Graveyard to your Deck, or destroy this card.[/b]

[b]LIGHT/Lv 4/Beast-Warrior/1650 ATK/1200 DEF[/b]

[b]When this card successfully attacks and destroys a monster as a result of battle; send the top 2 cards of your Deck to the Graveyard and, if at least one of those cards is a "Moonsworn" monster, return 1 card on the field to its owner's hand.[/b]

[b]DARK/Lv 6/Beast-Warrior/2400 ATK/1900 DEF[/b]

[b]When this card is successfully Normal Summoned: target 1 face-up monster on the field (target up to 2 if this card was Tribute Summoned by Tributing a "Moonsworn" monster); switch that target to face-down Defense Position, then send 1 card from the top of your Deck to the Graveyard.[/b]

[b]LIGHT/Lv 5/Psychic/1300 ATK/2300 DEF[/b]

[b]During each of your Standby Phases, while this card is in your Graveyard; gain 300 Life Points for each "Moonsworn" monster in your Graveyard. When a card(s) you control would be destroyed by your opponent's card (including by battle or card effect): you can banish this card from your Graveyard; negate that attack or card effect and, if you do, destroy that card, then send the top 3 cards of your Deck you the Graveyard.[/b]
