Trapspringer
If you're going to compare the two based on combat, remember that Kefka is a spellcaster which conditions him as less physically capable, although he makes up for this in spades with his magic. Sephiroth, on the other hand, has been trained as a warrior, and can take a few hits to the meaty bits. If you're comparing them based on character, I think it really depends on what flavor you're going for. Off-the-wall batshit crazy, Kefka. Deep brooding and only slightly disturbed, Sephiroth. Personally, I prefer Kefka. He's a little more entertaining to watch.
That was base Sephiroth vs. base Kefka. And Sephiroth has all available materia in the FINAL FANTASY VII world built into himself once he merges with the Lifestream, so don't tell me Kefka is miles ahead in magic.
Sephiroth merging with the Lifestream is the relative equivilant of Kefka becoming the god of magic. I'd still say they're on a level playing field, just different flavors. Expelsword
Considering how Sephiroth is more physically durable than Kefka, then, I'd have to give it to him. Especially since they still haven't gotten rid of him. I never finished VI, didn't they just straight up kill Kefka?
