1. I will only accept up to 7 contestants.
2. There are no deadline on when to turn your cards in, but please submit them quickly.
3. Judging is done by me and is final.
4. The winner's card will be placed in my sig for 3 months.
5. Did I mention you can only make one card, and you're not allowed to change your entry? For that reason, type in "Final Entry" somewhere on your post.

CARD RULES

1. Cards must use pictures from Zerochan/Safebooru.
2. I don't care what the picture is, as long as it depicts an anime girl.
3. Try to keep the card as realistic as possible, while also keeping in theme with the picture you have selected.
4. You can use any Cardmaker you know, including (But not limited to): YCM, Yugico, Photoshop and GIMP.
5. Spells, Traps and any type of monster is allowed, but don't go around making your own type.

The cards will be rated by me in a scale from 5 to 20. 20 being the highest possible score, and 5 being the lowest. The judging will cover these sectors:

1. Originality. How original is your card's effect and overall look?
2. Usefulness. Will this card end up being the new Tour Guide From The Underworld or will it be another De-spell?
3. Cosmetics. I'll be rating to the smallest detail, including the circulation and set ID.
4. Picture. Nuff' said.
5. Realism. No bulls*it OCG here, unless it's a vanilla.

So the card's pictures can only come from those two sources? That's a shame, because I have a whole [i]set[/i] of anime girls I could adapt otherwise. Just pick one, and I'll adapt her as best I can (they have custom sub-types and XCG instead of OCG. I'd have to fix those).

Pretty much. Since I mainly use those two for my cards, I want to see what YCM can come up with using pictures from the two sites. So anyway, areyou joining or not?

EDIT: Okay, no worries -- I found the pictures I intended to use if for two options. One option is out, but then I already used her for one contest. Now I have to decide which of the other two to use, and if its the backup option I need to decide which Level of her to use. You pretty well left things unrestricted.

If the opponent controls a Field Spell Card: you can Set this card as a Field Spell Card (from your hand).
• As a Field Spell Card: During your Main Phase, you can Special Summon this card (from the Field Card zone). If this face-up card would leave the field, Set it instead.
• As a monster: If this card would leave the field, Set it as a Field Spell Card instead. If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: reveal the top 3 cards of your opponent's Deck. You can pay 1000 Life Points; banish 1. Then replace them in their original order.

So I found the anime this girl belonged to, and put a reference in the set ID (which also references this thread) according to info I found on Wikipedia. I'm sure you're familiar with the serial number. I had a concern that she was a bit OP but I think the fact that you need an opponent's Field Spell to summon her easily is enough.

This is my final entry. The lore below the card is different from the lore on the card. Please judge the lore below the card. [i][size=1](the only differences are: Added a 1000 LP cost to the monster effect, and replaced all instances of 'Field Spell' with 'Field Spell Card' or 'Field Card' for proper OCG. Nothing further will change. If I somehow win (unlikely considering the other two entries so far...) I will update the lore on the card)[/size][/i]

I usually leave the Circ field empty even though I make mostly unique (1 per deck) cards -- unless there's a note I'd like to add. For example, when I was revising my Ala Alba Set I put a character's Artifact name in that field even though it does not have anything to do with circulation. I have no idea for Set ID. I usually just put the set name's initials, and I have a numerical code for the card's type that I follow, which makes them easier to organize, view, and choose cards for your deck. I do not have any idea of how to make a Set ID look legitimate.

Alright, so I have two cards to choose from. One is a Level-4 Effect Monster whose effect looks a little messy, and may take 2 or 3 read-throughs to completely understand. The other is a high-level Fusion Monster that hopefully will not come off as a beatstick. I think her effect is fairly straightforward, because it allowed for better grouping even with my psudo-OCG. I wanted to wait to see what the other competitors are doing before I chose which one to enter.

And it just occurred to me that one way to get around the picture source rule is to upload the image yourself. Of course, it actually has to fit that imageboard's rules for it to stay there.

I know. If he (Newhat) doesn't change the artwork I might as well as give a negative to the artwork because it doesn't follow the rules.

Who said they were all 'demure?' Rin-dono certainly is not: I've always thought of her as the feisty fighter, and with [i]Carnival Phantasm[/i] it also added 'comically un-savvy to tech' as well. It's much harder to find the 'demure anime girl,' even in my Cuteness Counterattack Set, where the cards are designed to shut the opponent down. I did start out thinking it would not have enough stronger girls to emphasize attack power. Turns out I was very wrong.

And Len is a boy. If you want to follow the rules at least go with a picture of his sister, right?
