Can't judge positives without a negative. Reps means something when they're with negs, since only the good/smart/funny things you say can be affected. You can have some really good moments and get a lot of likes from them, and post nothing else but shitty moronic pieces of crap, but when someone views that rep count it can still be really high. It's a ways of giving someone's rep some actual worth.

I'm not an active user on here. Just happen to log in out of the blue. It's seems their alot of members on this site. Looks very active to me compared to other fourms I go to. My thoughts on unbanning members that were banned is that, if their were good reason to ban that indivdual then leave them ban. Rather let them be banned so the rest of the people can enjoy the site. Doesn't really sound right to compensate the decrease population by adding prevoius trolls back...imo.

cause im on forums like DN and this is SO slow compared to DN

unbanning some members would b great just to liven things up againbut thats the admins choice not mine

I see that you are troubled about this Forum's inactivity, and that you suggest ways of increasing new member influx.

I have a plan that might, just might may I add, be a respectable step towards solving both.

We can organize some sort of contest, in which groups of 5 will participate. Each group will develop a Deck, which will be used by 1 person of the group in some Duel Portal Tournament, which shall be showcased in Youtube.

The work and the preparation will give everyone something to think, and disallow the current, rather sad situation, to occupy our minds. In parallel, the site will be advertised through Youtube.

DN has several million users due to the fact that it's a duel simulator that anyone can use and play the game, which attracts a much bigger group than a cardmaker.
Do not try to compare YCM's activity to DN's activity.

[/quote]Hey, this wouldn't really do much. We are so differed in hobbies. Card competitions, Deck competitions, and tournaments would be the only thing that would appeal to the people on this site, and that would do very little because the numbers are already so low. If you want a card making competition, you have to have an updated card maker or do written cards, and new members do not know the concept of it really since they look at the card maker first. Deck Making competitions wouldn't raise the activity of this site, only be done by the people of the Your Deck section. Tournaments would be the same thing as the Deck Making.

I'm still not fully understanding how un-banning old members (don't get me wrong, I loved them.) is going to help. One or two members re-joining being slightly active, how is that going aid in anyway? The reason why YCM was originally successful was because we had the only "properly" functioning Card Maker plus we had a forum to share the cards, now that we are behind with the actual Card Maker, meaning that other sites now have XYZs and Dark Synchros whilst we have neither just means that people are just going to go to the other sites.

What we need to be working on is updating the Card Maker to have the things we don't yet have, as well as advertising considering that advertising greatly effects the number of people coming to sample what we have to offer, now we are barely gaining about 10 members daily[b]ish [/b]and about 50% of them are just bots, or spammers, now if we had advertising and a better Card Maker we could probably look at an increase in the members joining and a lower percentage of bots:member
count.

But yeah, I think everyone agrees that the cardmaker needs to be completely revamped... I mean, the current templates are ugly. And it should atleast save the cards in .png format for better quality.

Why yes, I'd love to be back with my main account to post more and make this forum more alive. I'd also certainly try to bring more people and increase the community. The activity would increase with my presence.

But I'm not going to be more hypocritical than I already am.

I said I don't want to return while certain Moderators still have the final say. I also heard that that same person created a rule which says "No banned members may have any influence on the community". Why did I make this account? To keep in touch with people I like to talk to which aren't available anywhere else. You may ban this account since it is another rule broken but it won't really make a difference, honestly. Not to me, at least.

I, and a lot of people, still think the reason for my ban isn't fair, but what I did afterwards is ban worthy, definitively. Which is why I won't beg to return, but if you guys decide to do so, I won't completely refuse. I just really don't want to be on a place where Crab Helmet rules the way he/she does. If he/she wants to talk about it personally, I'd love it. My e-mail is [email protected]

That's not what I said, even back in that wall of text.

The Moderators here are great. They're humans, so they do mistakes too. As I said, s*** happens.

A whole new Moderator Set is virtually impossible anyway. They have their own mindsets too, and each act accordingly. There's nothing bad in this as long as they're not up to improvement.

It's just... some of them overrule others a few times. But that's sporadically and falls under the "human mistakes" everyone is bound to do.

Again, I would like to talk personally to Crab Helmet and/or Hatcher and apologize myself, I was too harsh.

In all fairness, most of the mod team is good, I just get irritated by the abundance of inactive moderators and the piss-poor job some of them do, most specifically in the TCG section which is my favourite section of the site and the one I can only hope to improve with the state it can be in. (Although apparently people disagree with my harsh demeanour I flaunt throughout it)
