I will have to go with Korra. In TLA I found some of the characters getting on my nerves at times, but in the new season that is not the case. Each character is likeable in its own way. The story is also a bit more mature, making it a bit better than the original. Don't get me wrong, I love the TLA, but Korra is just amazing.

The only reason The Legend of Korra wouldn't be as good as The Last Airbender is because LoK isn't written by the original writers of the prequel, I believe. That's why it's been centering around romance, since that's what Nick feels is a good attention grabber for audiences.

I think The Last Airbender will always be the better out of the two, but The Legend of Korra is still a must watch.

Korra's a Mary Sue and a cheating b****.
Mako's a cheating bastard whose whole character is intended Dark and Brooding turns to OHMYKORRAKORRAKORRA
Bolin is Sokka with Earth Bending, and less funny.
Pabu is Momo#2, but less funny, characterized, etc.
Naga is Appa#2, but less funny, characterized, etc.
Asami is a pile of wasted potential. She had so much going for her, and it was just squandered. I was on my toes the whole time, HOPING she was evil or would turn evil and back again. But a whiny little b**** when it comes to Mako, but otherwise extremely independent? What the hell is that?
Sato was genericbaddad.jpg + genericrevengeseeker.jpg
Amon was genericcorruptleader.jpg with added memes and godmod. His backstory also felt rather forced.
Tarrlok was the generic good-motived bad-actioned character with a generic troubled childhood to back it up. It was executed poorly. His death, I'll give him, was a plus. He also had more potential, like Asami, that was wasted.
Bei-Fong was her mother with eyesight.
Meelo was just crass, and he looked fugly.
Tenzin's daughters were pretty cliche in how they behaved, in proportion to one another.
Pema and Katara aren't worth much mention
Tenzin was the only character I really liked, in proportion to the original. He wasn't some recycled character with a new face and the like, he was himself. No, he's not the first character of this type, but he was amusing and solid in character. It was interesting to see how he interacted with the cast.

A lot of what LoK had going was just ruined in the recycled mess. It's like Duel Monsters and ZeXal. Yes, ZeXal has new, exciting things, but the story and characters get ruined at every turn.

I enjoyed Korra so far, I did, but... It's meh next to the original. Just flashier.
