Episode 1
The Tournament Begins! Justin vs. Kevin

Shawn's alarm blares waking Shawn up and pushes the snooze button with his hand with his eyes still closed. He opens his eyes and relunctantly gets up. After getting dressed, brushing his tooth and walking out of his house and walks down his empty driveway.
Eventually he gets to his black mailbox and opens it. He pulls the only white envelope. He closes the door and starts walking back to the front door of his house.
Inside his house, he opens the envelope and reads it.
One paragragh reads, "You are invited to participate in the National Duel Monsters Tournament. The tournament will begin in 5 days at the Kaibadome. Hope you come!

Naturally, Shawn yells in excitement and runs into another room to start packing.


Five days later, carrying a green duffle bag, Shawn reaches the Kiabadome and enters the large blue building. Quickly, he sees a hallway with a sign with the words 'Tournament V.I.P.s only. with a guard on one side. He walks to him and pulls out a V.I.P. pass. Showing it to the guard, he starts wallking down the hallway.
Soon, he sees several white doors with people's names. He sees Amy Sigane on one door and goes into the room. He sees a tall blonder girl with a duel disk on shuffling her deck on a black wooden chair. She looks up and says, "Shawn! It's you!"
Putting her deck down, she gets up and hugs him tightly. Shawn's face turns purple and he drops his duffle bag. He gasps and she stops hugging him.
She says, "Sorry. I am so glad you are here. Have you seen your room yet?" He nods. "It is next door to mine."
Shawn smiles. "Sweet. I don't have to go far. When is the first duel?"
Amy says, "In a hour. It is Justin Hojin vs. Kevin Black. It should be good."
Shawn says, "Cool. Well, I am going to unpack and get ready for my first duel. When is mine?"
Amy says, "Let's see", looking to the ceiling. Lowering her head, "Oh right! Four hours."
Shawn says, "FOUR HOURS! Uh, I am going to be so bored. Unless, you will let me stay?"
Amy says, "Nice try. But, I am going to let you cheat!" She picks up his duffle bag, hands it to him and pushes him through the door.
Shawn says with his head down, "I wanted to stay with you, not cheat." He then walks to his room.


An hour later, the 16 duelists are on a balcony watching as an announcer with a microphone is speaking. The announcer says, "I am Koben Gophin. I will be your person for stats, rules, and anything else. Now, the prizes will be revealed during a dance after the first round of competition. Until then, let's see who makes it there. First round match is Justin Hojin vs. Kevin Black." Two boys walk out from the balcony and walks down the stairs.
At the bottom of the stairs, is the bottom floor and the ground. They walk out and get in position. Koben says, "With less wins in touraments, Kevin will begin the duel." They activate their duel disks.
Kevin draws. "I summon Black Stego." (1200) A large dinosaur appears. "One face-down to end my turn."
Justin draws. "I play Banner of Courage. During my Battle Phase, all my monsters gains 200 ATK points." A banner attached to a large pole appears behind Justin. "I summon Pyramid Turtle." (1200) A large turtle with a pyramind on its back appears. "Attack his Black Stego!" It runs to Kevin's monser. Kevin grins. Black Stego lowers and using its tail, pushes back Pyrmaid Turtle. Justin's points reduce to 3400. (4000 + 1400 - 2000)
Kevin says, "First, your spell activated, giving your turtle 200 points. (1200 + 200 = 1400) Also, my Black Stego's effect, switched him to defense. He has a defense of 2000. You lost 600 points." (2000 - 1400 = 600)
Justin says, "I forgot." All the duelists in the balcony falls back. "One face-down to end my turn."
Kevin draws. "I swtich my Black Stego to attack mode." (1200) His dinosaur raises. "I summon Kabazauls." (1700) A large red dinosaur appears. "Attack his turtle!" He slashes and destroys Pyramid Turtle. Justin's points reduce to 3100. (3400 + 1400 - 1700)
Justin says, "Due to its effect, I can Special Summon Ryu Kokki in defense." (2000)
Kevin says, "Intresting. But, not good enough, I play my trap, Compulsory Evacuation Device, to return your Ryu Kokki to your hand." Justin's monster disappears. "Attack directly my Black Stego!" He runs to Justin and gores him before running back. Justin's points reduce to 1900. (3100 - 1200) "You are pretty sad. You better be better from here on out."
Justin says, "I will."
Kevin says, "You better. Your go."
Justin draws and smiles. "You asked for this. I play Call of The Mummy. Now, when my field is clear, I can Special Summon 1 Zombie from my hand. I summon my Ryu Kokki." (2400) Kevin grimaces as it appears. "I play my face-down, Shadow Spell. Your Kabazaul loses 700 points, cannot changes it positions and cannot attack. Its ATK points drop to 1000. (1700 - 700) Now, attack Ryu Kokki! Remember my spell, Banner of Courage." Ryu Kokki's ATK is increased to 2600. (2400 + 200) He slashes and destroys Kabazauls as his trap disappears, due to its effect. Kevin's points reduce to 1600. (4000 + 1000 - 2600) "How's that? Your go."
Kevin draws. "I play Back To Square One, and discard Sabersaurus and return Ryu Kokki to the top of your deck." Justin's monsters disappears."
Justin says, 'What the-"
Koben says, "Watch the language! Kids are here!"
Kevin says, "Now, attack directly Black Stego!" He gallops to Justin and gores him before running back. Justin's points reduce to 700. (1900 - 1200)
On the balcony, Shawn is leaning over the rail and is next to Amy. "I wonder what Justin is doing. He has never been low and in such a corner." Amy nods in agreement. He looks at the rest of the duelists and notices a girl he seems to remember.
Meanwhile, Kevin says, "Your go."
Justin draws. "I play Call of The Mummy to special summon my Ryu Kokki. (2400) Now, attack Black Stego!" Black Stego lowers but is slashed before it explodes. "He has now 2600 ATK points. (2400 + 200) I summon a face-down monster. I play Gryphon's Feather Duster. I I destroy my spells and gain 500 points for every destroyed." His Banner of Courage and Call of The Mummy disappers. His points raise to 1700. (700 + 1000) "Your go."
Kevin says, "I play Change of Heart to gain control of your Ryu Kokki." He disappears and reappears on Kevin's field. I tribute it to summon Megazowler. (1800) I play Rush Recklessly, so he gains 700 points. Its points raise to 2500. (1800 + 700) I equip it with Fairy Meteor Crush, so when a defense monster is destroyed, you still lose points. Attack his face-down monster!" He gores the face-down monster and Poison Mummy appears before disappearing.
Justin says, "When my Poison Mummy is flipped, you lose 500 points." Kevin's points reduce to 1900. (2400 - 500)
Kevin says, "Fine, you lose 700 points." Justin's points reduce to 1000. (1700 - 700) "I end my turn. Megazowler loses his boost." (2500 - 700 = 1800)
Justin draws. "I play Monster Reborn to return Ryu Kokki. (2400) Attack Megazolwer!" He slashes and destroys Megazowler. Kevin's points reduce to 1300. (1900 + 1800 - 2400) "Your go."
Kevin draws. "I play Soul Release. I remove Megazowler, Compulsory Evacuation Device, Change of Heart, Black Stego, Sabersaurus, and Rush Recklessly from play." Everyone is confused. "I summon Tyranno Infinity. (0) He gains 1000 points for every dino removed." Justin is shocked. (3000) "Attack Ryu Kokki!" He bites and destroys Ryu Kokki. Justin's points reduce to 400. (1000 + 2400 - 3000) "Your go."
Justin draws and grins. "I play Misfortune." Kevin is shocked. "You lose points equal to half the original ATK points of one of your monsters." Kevin's points reduce to 0. (1300 - 1500) The field clears.
Koben says, "Wow! Justin advances to the next round! Next match is Kristin Tole vs. Frank Rolin. Justin and Kevin walk up the stairs passing Kristin and Frank walking down. They all grin at each other.
With Frank and Kristin in place, the duel begins.

Shawn: "Is that you, Alexis?"
Amy: "Who is she?"
Kristin: "You know what to do, right?"
Frank: "Yep, follow her plan."

Episode 2

The Tournment Continues! Kristin vs. Frank!

 

Each duelist looks at each other. Koben says, "Kristin will begin."

She says, "Cool." She draws and says, "Doru! I play Malice Doll of Demise." (1600) A wooden doll with an axe appears. "One face-down to end my turn."

Frank draws. "I summon Warrior Dai Grepher. (1700) I play Inferno Reckless Summon. We can both summon monsters from our decks with the same name as one of our monsters on our field. I summon two more Warrior Dai Grephers."

Kristin says, "I summon two more Malice Dolls of Demises." Two more of each monster appears next to the original.

Frank says, "I equip the original with Chthonian Alliance. He gais 800 points for each other monster with the same name." Kristin is shocked. Frank's monsters ATK points raise to 3300. (1700 + 1600) "Attack her middle monster!" He slashes and destroys her monster. Her points drop to 3900. (4000 + 1600 - 1700) "Again, attack the left one!" Another Warrior Dai Grepher slashes and destroys her monster. Her points drop to 3800. (3900 + 1600 - 1700) "Finally, attack her remaining monster!" His most powerful monster jumps forward to slash and destroy her last monster. Her points drop to 2100. (3800 + 1600 - 3300) "That's enough damage for this turn. Your go."

Kristin draws. "Doru. I summon Zure, Knight of Dark World." (1800) Her Dark World monster appears and swings his sword. "I play Double Attack, and discard my Golld, Wu-Lord of Dark World to let my Zure attack twice. plus, due to his effect, I special summon him from my graveyard!" Her large gold monster appears and growls. "I play my face-down, Megamorph and equip it to my Golld. His ATK points are doubled!" Golld's points grow to 4600. (2300 x 2) "Golld, destroy the most powerful Warrior Dai Grepher!" He uses his axe to slash and destroy Warrior Dai Grepher. His points drop to 2700. (4000 + 3300 - 4600) "Next, Zure, destroy his two warriors!" He uses his sword to slash and destroy his remaing monsters. His points drop to 2500. (2700 + 1700 + 1700 - 1800 - 1800) "That was fun. But, this ends my turn. One face-down to end my turn."

Frank draws. "I play Pot of Greed to draw 2 cards." Kristin wonders as he draws his cards. "I summon Destiny Hero- Doom Lord. (600) I place this face-down, Now, I activate Riryoku! Half of your Golld's ATK goes to my Doom Lord!" Golld lowers his axe as Doom Lord grows to 2900 points. (600 + 2300) "Attack Zure!" He punches and destroys Zure. Her points drop to 1000. (2100 + 1800 - 2900) "Next, I play his effect to remove Golld for 2 turns." Golld fall into a black hole underneath. "Your Megamorph is destroyed." Her spell disappears. "Your go. He goes back to his original 600 points." (2900 - 2300)

Kristin draws. "Doru. I play my face-down, Return From The Different Dimension. I pay half my points." Her points reduce to 500. (1000/2) "I return my Golld!" Golld comes out of a black hole in front of her. He gulps in fear. "Attack Doom Lord!" He slashes and destroys Doom Lord. His points drop to 800. (2500 + 600 - 2300)

Frank says, "I play Destiny Signal. I summon Destiny Hero- Captain Tenacious." (800)

Kristin says, "Okay. One face-down to end my turn. Golld is removed again." Golld disappears.

Frank draws. "I return Doom Lord due to Captain Tenacious's effect." Doom Lord appears. (600) "Also, Golld returns." Golld appears as he smiles. "I play Doom Lord's effect to remove him again!" Her monster disappears. "I can't attack this turn. Captain Tenacious to defense. (800) one face-down to end my turn. Your go."

Kristin draws. "Doru. I play Gateway To Dark World to return my Zure!" (1800) Her monster returns. "Attack and end this!" He uses his sword and hits a clear barrier. "How did you stop my attack?" Zure jumps back.

Frank says, "I played, D-Shield. So, my Doom Lord goes to defense (800) and he cannot be destroyed in battle."

Kristin says, "Good play. I end with one face-down."

Frank draws. "Golld returns." He reappears. "I summon Destiny Hero- Blade Master in defense. (600) Your go."

Kristin draws. "Doru. I switch Zure to defense. (1500) Your go."

Frank draws. "Sweet. I tribute my Captain Tenacious, Doom Lord, and Blade Master to summon Destiny Hero- Dogma!" (3400) The large monster scares her. "Attack and end this by destroying Golld!" He flies up and glide down. But, attacks and destroys Zure instead. "How?"

Kristin says, "I played Shift, your attack target was changed to my Zure."

Frank says, "I end my turn." The large crowd cheers.

Kristin draws. "Doru. I know that monster well. I lose half my points." Her points reduce to 250. (500/2) "This may seem crude. I play Ookazi, you lose 800 points." He is shocked as a ball of fire falls from the sky hitting him. His points drop to 0 exactly. (800 - 800) Golld and Dogma disappear.

Koben says, "The winner is Kristin Tole."

On the balcony Shawn has walked to the girl he saw earlier. He taps her should and she turns punching him down to the ground. She says, "Who was that!?" She looks down at Shawn's body and says, "Oops. Sorry Shawn." She helps him up.

Amy gets in her face. "Why did you do that to my boyfriend?!"

She is shocked, "Boyfriend? Wow! Shawn you got a great catch!"

Amy says, "What is that suppose to mean?!"

Shawn says, "Amy, this Alexis Boone, an old friend."

Amy looking the other way says, "She does look old."

Shawn has to hold Alexis from hitting Amy. Alexis says, "Wha did she say?! Let me at her!"

Shawn says, "Be easy girls. I am up next." They stop fighting in intrest.

 

Shawn: "I hope they aren't fighting."

Amy: "Were fine."

Alexis: "Yeah, fine."

Shawn: "I have to go to my duel."

Alexis: "Good luck."

Amy: "Only I can give him luck. Bad Luck!"

Shawn: "What?! Uh, what do you mean?"

A) Inferno Reckless Summon can only work on a monster with 1500 ATK or less.

 

B) Doom Lords' ATK should NOT have gone to 2900. He SHOULD have gained HALF Golld's attack, namely 1150, kicking him to 1750. Which is not enough to kill Zure.

Episode 3

The Tournament Speeds Up

 

Koben says, "The next match is Shawn Micoro vs. Leon Major." A short blue-haired boy passes Amy, Alexis, and Shawn and starts down the stairs. Shawn then walks away from them to the stairs.

When he gets to the bottom floor, he sighs and walks to his spot across Leon. Koben says, "This is Leon's first tournament, so he begins."

Leon draws. "I summon Magician's Valkyria. (1600) I play Magical Blast, you lose 200 points." There is a small explosion near Shawn. His points reduce to 3800. (4000 - 200) "With my Valkyria out, she is the only spellcaster you can attack. Your go."

Shawn draws. "I activate Skyscraper!" The area changes into a city with many skyscrapers. "I summon Elemental Hero Wildheart. (1500) Attack his monster" He jumps at Leon's monster.

Leon says, "Your monster is weaker! Counter attack my Valkyria!" She uses her staff to block. He slashes her staff and her, causing her to explode confusing Leon. "How?"

Shawn says, "Due to Skyscraper, he gained 1000 points." So, Wildheart's ATK was 2500. (1500 + 1000) Leon is surprised. Leon's points drop to 3100. (4000 + 1600 - 2500) "Your go. Wildheart loses his bonus." (2500 - 1000 = 1500)

Leon draws, "I summon Royal Magical Library in defense. (2000) I play Soul Exchange to tribute our monsters to summon my Dark Magician!" His monster appears after both monsters disappear. (2500) "My Library gained a Spell Counter, but it was useless. He can't attack this turn. (I know what the actual effect is, don't tell me) Of course, I didn't plan to. I tribute my Dark Magician to special summon Dark Eradicator Warlock. (2500) Whenever a normal spell is played, you lose 1000 points." Shawn is shocked. "Attack directly!" He pounds Shawn with his staff. Shawn's points reduce to 1300. (3800 - 2500) "One face-down. Your go."

Shawn draws. "I play Special Hurricane. I discard Necroshade to destroy your monster."

Leon says, "Fine. But, you lose 1000 points since that spell is a normal spell." There is another small explosion near Shawn as his points reduce to 300. (1300 - 1000) Leon's monster explodes.

Shawn says, "Since Necroshade in is my graveyard, I can summon him with no tributes. By 'him', I mean Elemental Hero Bladedge." (2600)

On the balcony, Amy says, "Are you impressed?"

Alexis says, "Nope, I already beat him!"

Amy says, "You liar!"

Shawn says, "Bladedge, attack directly!" He jumps to Leon and slashes him. He jumps back. Leon's points reduce to 500. (3100 - 2600) "Your go."

Leon draws. "I play Pot of Greed to draw 2 cards. I play Monster Reborn to return my Dark Magician. (2500) I play Block Attack to switch Bladedge to defense. (1800) Attack!" He uses his Dark Magic Attack to destroy Bladedge. "Your go."

Shawn draws and smiles. Amy says, "He makes that look when he has a plan."

Shawn says, "I play Shield and Sword to switch ATK with DEF. (2100/2500) Next, Monster Reborn to return my Bladedge." (2600) Amy smiles as Leon looks down. "Attack his magician!" He slices and destroys Leon's monster and reducing his points to 0. (500 + 2100 - 2600) The area changes back to normal as the field clears.

Koben says, "The winner is Shawn."

Shawn walks to Leon and says to him, "Good duel." Leon looks up and smiles at Shawn before they start walking up the stairs. Leon looks at Amy before he starts walking up.

When he gets to the top, Shawn runs to Amy and Alexis and asks, "How are you?"

Amy says, "Why did you lose to her?!" She points to Alexis.

Shawn says, "I didn't mean too. Oh look, the next duel is ready." They all look as the next two duelists are already ready.

Koben says, "The next match is Tim Norky vs. Katherine Drake. Katherine will begin."

Katherine, a tall, thin red head, draws. "I summon Monk Fighter. (1300) When he is the battle, I lose no points. One face-down to end my turn."

Tim draws. "I summon King Tiger Wanghu. (1700) when he is out, only monsters with an ATK of 1400 or can be summoned. Attack!" He runs to her monster and slashes. The attack is absorbed by a shield.

Katherine says, "Lone Wolf. My monster cannot be destroyed as a result of battle."

Tim says, "One face-down to end my turn."

Katherine draws. "I play Kaminote Blow, now when my Monk Fighter attacks a monster, the monster is destroyed. Attack!" He punches Tim's tiger.

Tim says, "I play Ceasefire, so you lose 500 points for every effect monster out. That's 1000." His monster is destroyed as her points drop to 3000. (4000 - 1000)

Katherine says, "I place a face-down monster to end my turn."

Tim draws. "I summon Abare Ushioni. (1200) I play its effect", getting a coin from his pocket. "I flip a coin and call it. If I call it right, you lose 1000 points and vice-versa. Here we go." He flips the coin and catches it. "Heads." He turns it over. "Tails." His points reduce to 3000. (4000 - 1000) "I equip it with Ballista of Rampart Smashing. When he attacks a face-down monster, he gains 1500. Attack his face-down monster! He gains 1500 points." (1200 + 1500 = 2700)

Katherine says, "Dummy Golem, our monsters switch." They jump into the opposite spots where Dummy Golem is destroyed. "I will end with two face-downs."

Katherine draws. "I play Abare's effect", getting a golden coin from her pocket. She flips it. "Tails." She catches it and turns it to see it is Heads. "Dang", returning the coin to her pocket. Her points drop to 2000. (3000 - 1000) "I tribute your bull to summon Millennium Golem. (2200) Attack directly!" He punches her.

Tim says, "I play Mirror Wall, lowering his monsters ATK in half to 1100. (2200/2) So, I only lose 1100 points. My points reduce to 1900. (3000 - 1100 = 1900) Same with your Monk Fighter."

Katherine says, "Whatever, attack directly." he punches him. (1300/2 = 650) His points reduce to 1250. (1900 - 650) "I play Ookazi to deal you 800 points of damage." His points reduce to 450. (1250 - 800) "Your go."

Tim draws. "I let my trap be destroyed." His trap card disappears. Her monsters ATK raise to normal strength. "I play my face-down, Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy your trap." Lone Wolf is destroyed. "I play Pot of Greed to draw 2 cards. Next, Change of Heart to gain control of your golem." She is shocked as he walks to his side. "I play Raigeki." A lighitng bolt destroys her monster. "Attack directly!" His new monster punches her and disappears as her points reduce to 0. (2000 - 2200)

Koben says, "The winner is Tim" as Katherine gets up and they both look up at Amy.

 

Amy: "You know what?"

Shawn: "What? Wow!"

Alexis: "What?!"

Shawn: "You are going to duel Amy soon."

Alexis: "Finally, time to get revenge... I mean oh fun!"

Uncertain Future

 

Koben says, "The next match is Andrew Walkins vs. Jessica Plun." Tim and Katherine go up the stairs, Andrew and Jessica walk down the stairs passing them with a smile.

Soon, they are in place and the duel begins. Koben says, "Jessica begins." She draws

On the balcony, there is an entrance to a hallway which have the rooms for the duelists. Shawn decides to walk down to his room and enters it where he sees Amy waiting in his chair.

When she sees him, she gets up and says, "Shawn, I have something for you."

Shawn asks, "For what?"

Amy says, "Well, it is our 3 month anniversary."

Shawn says, "I forgot."

Amy says, "It's okay." She pulls out a deck from her pocket and hands it Shawn. "A new deck."

Shawn looks through and is says, "What is this?! I would never play these, even I was payed!"

Amy says, "How about if I win my duel agianst Alexis, and that counts as your gift for me?"

Shawn ponders for a second before saying, "Okay. But, if you lose, I don't, okay?"

Amy says, "Okay." She passes him and leaves his room with the door open.

Shawn looks at the deck and puts on a coffee table. "I hope I am doing the right thing."

Amy has made it to the balcony area and sees the current duel still going.

Andrew has 1100 points and no monsters or set cards with 2 cards in hand. Jessica has Harpie Lady Sisters. (1950) She also has 2 cards in hand with 150 Life points left. It is Andrew's turn.

He draws. "I play Premature Burial to return my Shining Abyss. (1600) I tribute my monster to summon Dark Witch. (1800) I equip her with Axe of Despair. She gains 1000 points." An axe appears and she grips it. Her points are now 2600. (1600 + 1000) "Attack her sisters!" He flies to her side of the field and slashes all three monsters. Her points drop to 0. (150 + 1950 - 2600) Dark Witch and Axe of Despair disappears.

Koben says, "Andrew is the winner." They start walking back to the stairs. "The next match is Alexis Boone vs. Amy Sigane."

Andrew and Jessica have made it to the balcony and pass Amy with a grin. Amy and Alexis walk down the stairs as Shawn walks to the balcony.

With Amy and Alexis in place, Koben says, "Alexis will begin."

Alexis draws. "I summon Element Dragon. (1500) One face-down to end my turn."

Amy draws. "I play Frontline Base, I special summon W-Wing Catapult. (1300) I summon V-Tiger Jet. (1600) I remove them to summon VW-Tiger Catapult." (2000) Both monsters fly up and join together. "Attack her dragon!" Her monster fires a missile at her dragon.

Alexis says, "I play A Hero Emerges. Choose a card in my hand." She points to the far left. "I summon Masked Dragon. Since I have a WIND monster out, he gains 500 points." (1500 + 500 = 2000) Both monsters explode on impact.

Amy says, "I end with one face-down."

Alexis draws. "Attack directly!"

Amy says, "I play Widespread Ruin, your dragon is destroyed." her dragon explodes in mid-flight.

Alexis says, "I summon Spear Dragon. (1900) Your go."

Amy says, "Why now?"

Alexis says, "I had a feeling about that face-down."

Amy thinks, 'She must know something about my plan.'

Amy draws. "I play Vehicroid Connection Zone to fuse Steamroid and Gyroid to summon Steam Gyroid." (2200)

In the balcony, Shawn thinks, 'What if I can't win. I mean Amy and Alexis are great. There is still more like them. Maybe I will need to use them.'

Amy says, "Attack Spear Dragon!" He spins and flies to Spear Dragon where is slashes and flies back. Alexis points reduce to 3700. (4000 + 1900 - 2200) "Your go."

Alexis draws. "I play White Dragon Ritual and tribute Luster Dragon to summon my Paladin of White Dragon. (1900) I play Rush Recklessly to increase his ATK by 700. (1900 + 700 = 2600) Attack his Steam Gyroid!" He slashes and destroys her monster. Reducing her points to 3600. (4000 + 2200 - 2600) "I tribute him to summon my Blue-Eyes White Dragon!" (3000) Her dragon appears and roars. "It couldn't attack this turn. That's why I waited. Your go."

Amy draws. "I play Pot of Greed to draw 2 cards. Next, I play Ancient Gear Cannon in defense. (500) Now, I play Machine Duplication to summon two more." Two more appear in attack mode. (500) "I play their effect and tribute two of them (Both in attack position) and deal you 1000 points of damage." They explode. Her points reduce to 2700. (3700 - 1000) "Your go."

Alexis draws. "I equip my dragon with Fairy Meteor Crush. Attack!" Her dragon fires a white lighting, which hits and destroys her monser. "Due to my spell, you still lose points." Amy's points reduce to 1100. (3600 + 500 - 3000) "Your go."

Amy draws. "I play Raigeki." A lighting bolt destroys her dragon. "Your go." Shawn is shocked.

Alexis draws. "I summon Spirit Ryu. (1000) Attack directly!" Her flies through her. Her points reduce to 100. (1100 - 1000) She nearly loses her balance. "Your go."

Amy draws. "I'm sorry Alexis, I will win. I play Graceful Charity to draw 3 and discard 2. I discard two Cyber Dragons. Next, Overload Fusion!" Her graveyard shines. "I remove all 2 Cyber Dragons and 3 other machines, (3 Ancient Gear Cannons) to summon Chimeratech Overdragon!" Five heads come out as its points appear as 4000. Everyone is shocked. "Due to its effect, I send my Frontline Base to the graveyard. "Attack her dragon!" Each head fires an attack at her dragon. Her dragon explodes and tosses her back. Her dragon disappears as Alexis's points drop to 0. (2700 + 1000 - 4000)

A Medical Staff comes with a strecher and put Alexis on it before going through a door with 'Clinic' on it. Shawn is worried as Amy walks to the stairs with a grin on her face.

 

Shawn: "Alexis! Wake up!"

Amy: "She will be okay."

Koben: "Two matches to go."

Shawn: "I hope Alexis will be okay."

Amy: "Believe me. She will."

After I read that, I lost interest, to be honest. The cards should either be used correctly, in the case of real cards, or be created. Changing the effects of real cards just serves to confuse.

Koben says, "The next match is Mark Chancey vs. Stacy Meeble." The two duelists walks down the stairs.

In the clinic, Shawn is at Alexis's bedside. He says, "Get better Alexis. I need your help now." Amy walks in the room with the doctor behind her. Shawn gets up and asks, "How is she?"

He says, "She will be fine. She just needs rest and about in a day she will be walking." Both Amy and Shawn smiles at each other.

At the duel area, both people are ready. Koben says, "Mark will begin."

Mark draws. "I summon Revival Jam. (1500) One face-down to end my turn."

Stacy draws. "I summon Thousand Needles. (1000) I play Shield and Sword to switch ATK with DEF. (500/1500)(1800/1000) Attack Revival Jam!" It fires thousands of needles at his monster. They hit and destroy his monster. His points reduce to 2700. (4000 + 500 - 1800) "One face-down to end my turn. Its ATK switches." (1000/1800)

Mark draws. "I pay 1000 points to return my Revival Jam due to his effect." His points reduce to 1700. (2700 - 1000) "I summon Maiden of The Aqua. (900) Now my monsters gains 200 points." (1500 + 200 = 1700)(900 + 200 = 1100) (when I seen it played, its effect still was applied, I don't know)

Stacy says, "I play Taunt to make your attack target this turn your Revival Jam."

Mark says, "I play Jam Defender. Now, my Revival Jam is the attack target while face-up. I place a face-down and activate Emergency Provisions. I destroy my face-down to gain 1000 points." His points raise to 2700. (1700 + 1000) "Your go."

Stacy draws. "I summon Des Wombat. (1600) While face-up, I lose no points. I play Rush Recklessly to increase its ATK by 1700. (2300 = 1600 + 700) Attack Revival Jam!" He slashes and destroys Revival Jam. His points reduce to 2100. (2700 + 1700 - 2300) "I switch Thousand Needles to defense. (1800) One face-down to end my turn. He loses his boost." (2300 - 700)

Mark draws. "I pay 1000 points." His points reduce to 1100. (2100 - 1000) "I return my Revival Jam. (1500) I tribute my monsters to summon Suijin. (2500) I remove my Maiden of The Aqua to summon Aqua Spirit. (1600) I play Fissure to destroy your needles." Her monster blows up. "Aqua Spirit, attack Des Wombat!" They attack each other, but both explode. "Suijin, attack directly!" He fires a large ball of water at her. It hits reducing her points to 1500. (4000 - 2500) "Your go."

Stacy draws. "I Summon King Tiger Wanghu. (1700) I equip it with Axe of Despair to increase its ATK by 1000. (1700 + 1000 = 2700) Attack Suijin!" He slashes and Suijin destroys her tiger.

Mark says, "When a monster attacks, it ATK is reduced to 0."

Stacy says, "I Play Nutrient Z. I gain 4000 points before I lose 2000 or more points." This raises her points to 5500. (1500 + 4000) After the attack her points drop to 3000. (5500 - 2500) "Your go."

Mark draws. "Suijin, attack directly!" He fires anther ball of water at her, it hits her, reducing her points to 500. (3000 - 2500) "Your go."

Stacy says, " I play Pot of Greed to draw 2 cards. One face-down card and I summon Giant Rat in defense (1450) to end my turn."

Mark draws. "I summon Fairy of The Fountain. (1600) Suijin, attack her oversized rodent!" He fires a ball of water at her monster, which destroys it.

Stacy says, "I summon Pale Beast.' (1500)

Mark says, "Attack her beast my fairy!" She slashes and destroys her monster reducing her points to 400. (500 + 1500 - 1600) "One face-down to end my turn."

Stacy draws. "One face-down monster to end my turn."

Mark looks up at Amy before drawing. "That's all?! Attack Fairy of The Fountain!" She slashes and destroys Hane-Hane.

Stacy says, "I return your Suijin back to your hand." Suijin disappears.

Mark says, "This face-down to end my turn."

Stacy draws. "I play one face-down card to end my turn."

Mark draws. "I play Call of The Haunted to return Revival Jam. (1500) I tribute my monsters to summon Suijin. (2500) Attack and end this!" He fires another ball of water at her.

She says, "I play Magic Cylinder. You lose 2500 points!" The ball of water turns and hits him reducing his points to 0. (1100 - 2500) The field clears.

Koben says, "The winner is Stacy. The final match is next."

 

Amy: "Finally the time I have been waiting for!"

Shawn: "I can't lose now!"

Amy: "I can't wait for the next round of matches to come!"

Shawn: "I hope I don't have to use these cards."

Amy: "Don't be afraid."

Koben says, "Will the final two duelists come on down." The two people, a tall, pretty blonde girl and a tall black-haired man walks past Amy with a smile on their faces. After that, thely get into position quickly. "This match will be Nancy Sakine vs. Timothy Fark. Timothy will begin."

He says, "Call my Tim." He draws. "I summon Swallowtail Spike Lizard. (1900) When he is summoned, I gain 2000 points." So, his points raise to 6000. (4000 + 2000) "I end my turn."

Nancy draws. "I summon Thunder Nyan Nyan. (1900) Next, Raigeki to destroy your monster." A lighting bolt destroys his monster. "Plus, when that monster is destroyed, you lose 3000 points." His points drop to 3000. (6000 - 3000) "Attack directly!" She punches him in the gut and jumps back. This reduces his points to 1100. (3000 - 1900) "Your go."

Tim draws. "I summon Toon Alligator. (800) I play Shield and Sword to switch ATK with DEF. (1600/800)(800/1900) Attack!" Using his axe, he slashes and destroys Thunder Nyan Nyan. Her points reduce to 3200. (4000 + 800 - 1600) "Two face-downs. Then, Emergency Provisions to ditch my face-down and gain 2000 points." His points raise to 3100. (1100 + 2000) "Your go. ATK switches with DEF." (800/1600)

Nancy draws. "First, I discard Thunder Dragon to add two more to my hand." She discards the card and pulls out her deck. Pulls out the cards, adds them to her hand and shuffles her deck before sliding it back in. "I play Polymerization to fuse my Thunder Dragons to summon Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon. (2800) I summon Oscillo Hero #2. (1000) Thunder Dragon, attack Toon Alligator!" Both heads fires a thunder ball at her monster, destroying it. His points reduce to 1100. (3100 + 800 - 2800) "Attack my hero!" He punches him reducing his points to 100. (1100 - 1000) "Your go."

Tim draws. "I play Pot of Greed to draw 2 cards. I play Change of Heart to control your dragon." her dragon flies over to him. "Attack her hero!" Two thunder balls hit and destroys her monster reducing her points to 1400. (3200 + 1000 - 2800) "One face-down to end my turn." Her dragon flies over to her side of the field.

Nancy draws. "I play Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy your face-down." It flips up and it is revealed as Kozacky's Self-Destruct Button before exploding.

Tim says, "When it is destroyed, the person who destroyed it loses 1000 points." This reduces her points to 400. (1400 - 1000)

Nancy says, "It didn't matter. Attack directly!" Two thunder balls hits her and explodes reducing her points to 0. (100 - 2800) The field clears.

Koben says, "The winner is Nancy. Don't forget to come to the after party to find out the prizes."

 

 

At the party, everyone is in beautiful dresses and suits. Among them, leaning against the table with food is Shawn is in a whit suit. He sees Amy in a red dress looking around in the middle of the dance floor. He runs to her. She soons sees him and they hug for a second.

Shawn asks, "Do you know when the prizes will be revealed?"

Amy says, "On the schedule, it said in a minute."

Shawn asks, "Schedule? Where?"

Amy says, "On the door of your room. Didn't you see it?"

Shawn says, "No, obviously. But, that explains why I was two hours late for this."

Amy says shocked, "TWO HOURS! Where and what were you doing?"

Shawn remembers, he was looking around for somebody. He even checked all thier rooms with no success. So, he sobbed and a corner in his room saying, "What did I do?!"

He says, "Well... uh...you see..." A voice interupts him. "Who could that be?"

The voice is Koben's. He is standing on a stage with a microphone. "Welcome. Look above your heads." They look up and see a four-sided machine with black screens on all four sides. "There, the prizes will be revealed." On all four sides, a deck shows and next to that 4 tickets. "The winner will recieve a 'Neo-Spacian' Deck. Complete with all the 'Neo-Spacian' cards. On the other side is four tickets to get a sneak peek at Kiabaland's new virtual reality pods. You and four friends will be able to use it before anyone else. We revealed the prizes here because, it gave people a reason to fight harder. So, the surviving people will fight even harder. Even do things that they may never do." Shawn remembers when Amy gave him the new cards. "The second round will begin tomoroww. Good night."

Shawn and Amy look at each other. Amy asks, "So, what were you doing?"

Shawn says, "Uh... I was preparing."

Amy sighs, "I only took an hour. Either you are a crossdresser or your wierd."

Shawn says, "I am the second one! Anyways, what if we duel in the finals?"

Amy says, "Then, we will fight with all our might to decide the better person." She looks around and drags Shawn by the arm out of the room into an outdoor area.

Shawn asks, "What was that for?!"

Amy says, "For this." To his surprise, she kisses him. Shawn blushes.

Shawn says, "Wow. What was that for?"

Amy says, "For good luck. In my family, we kiss when outside and when we see a full moon." They look up and see a full moon. "You like it?"

Shawn says, "I hope I can use that luck for something. Probably for me, you, or Alexis. Good luck. I will see you tomoroww."

Amy says, "Okay. Remember, that I will always be with you. In life, or in the middle of a duel, I will always help you." They turn and walk away. She thinks, "Alright, my plan is working. If everything goes right tomoroww, I will rule the world" before grinning.

 

Amy: "Almost time."

Shawn: "What are you saying?"

Amy: "Look! The first match is starting."

Koben: "The second is about to begin."

Recap: Nancy defeated Timothy in the final match. At the after party, the prizes were revealed. A new Neo-Spacian deck and a sneek peek at Kiabland's new virtual reality pods.

 

Episode 8

The Second Round Begins

 

At the duel area, Koben is saying in a new black suit, "The second round will begin with Justin and Kristin in the first match. Before you begin your duel, the winner will also get $10,000 dollars in cold, hard cash." Justin and Kristin walk down the stairs and get into place and activate thier duel disks. "Kristin will begin."

Kristin draws, "I play Graceful Charity to draw 3 cards", drawing 3 cards, "and discarding 2", discarding two cards face-down. "I summon Twin-Headed Wolf. (1500) I play Monster Reborn to return Zure, Knight of Dark World. (1800) Your go."

Justin draws. "I play Call of The Mummy. When my field is empty, I can Special Summon a Zombie monster from my hand. I Special Summon Despair From the Dark. (2800) I summon Regenerating Mummy. (1800) Attack her monsters!" Both monsters jump and destroy her monsters reducing her points to 2700. (4000 + 1800 + 1500 - 1800 - 2800) "I end my turn."

Kristin draws. "I play Mystic Plasma Zone." The area changes to a dark desert with a swirling vortex above them. "All DARK monsters gain 500 ATK points." So, Despair From the Dark's ATK raises to 3300. (2800 + 500) "I play Change of Heart to gain control of your Despair." He turns into shadows and flies to her side of the field where changes into his physical form. "I tribute him to summon The End of Anubis. (2500) He gains 500 points. (2500 + 500 = 3000) Attack her mummy!" He punches and destroys Regenerating Mummy lowering his points to 2800. (4000 + 1800 - 3000) "Your go."

Justin draws. "I summon Pyramid Turtle in defense. (1400) One face-down. Your go."

Kristin draws. "I summon Crass Clown." (1350) His points raise to 1850. (1350 + 500) "Attack his turtle!" He punches and destroys his monster.

Justin says, "When he is destroyed, I Special Summon Ryu Kokki.(2400) Plus, he is a DARK monster." Its points raise to 2900. (2400 + 500)

Kristin says, "Nothing my Anubis can't beat. Attack!" He punches, but Ryu Kokki misses and Ryu Kokki punches him and destroys him. This attack lowers her points to 2300. (2700 + 3000 - 3400)"How did you?!"

Justin says, "I play Reinforcements to increase my monsters ATK by 500." She is shocked, but understands. Ryu Kokki's ATK is raised to 3400. (2900 + 500)(Reinforcements only raised its ATK during that battle. So, its ATK lowered to 2900 after the battle)

Kristin says, "At least you are trying. one face-down. Your go."

Justin draws. "I summon Royal Keeper. (1600) Attack Ryu kokki, attack her clown!" It throws a punch. But, he stops attack and Royal Keeper jumps forward before being destroyed by her monster. " How!?"

Kristin says, "It was my trap, Dark Spirit of The Silent. So, your keeper attacked instead." His points dropped to 2550. (2800 + 1600 - 1850)

Justin says, "No wonder you won this tournament last year." Shawn is slightly shocked. "Your go."

Kristin draws. "I play Raigeki to destroy your monsters." A lighting bolt destroys Ryu Kokki. "Attack directly, my clown!" He punches him and jumps back. This reduces her points to 700. (2550 - 1850) "Your go."

Justin draws. "I play Monster Reborn to return Despair from the Dark. (2800) He gains 500 points, raising its points to 3300. (2800 + 500) Attack her clown!" He punches and destroys her clown. This attack reduces her points to 850. (2300 + 1850 - 3300) "Your go."

Kristin draws. "I play Monster Reincarnation. So, I discard Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World to add The End of Anubis to my hand. Since Goldd was discarded, he is Special Summoned." Goldd appears and scares the younger members of the audience. (2800)(that is with the boost from Mystic Plasma Zone) "I tribute him to summon the End of Anubis. (3000)(again, with boost) I equip it with Malevolent Nuzzler, giving him 700 points." This raises his points to 3700. (3000 + 700) "Attack!" He easily punches and destroys Despair From The Dark. This reduces her points to 300. (700 + 3300 - 3700) "One face-down. Your go."

Justin draws and smiles. "I play Misfortune. You lose 1850 points." There is a large explosion near him. "What!?"

Kristin says, "I played my trap, Barrel Behind The Door. So, you take the damage." His points reduce to 0. (300 - 1850) The area changes back to normal and the field clears.

Koben says, "The winner is Kristin. We will see you at the semifinals." Kristin and Justin start walking away. "Next match is Tim vs. Shawn."

Shawn says confused, "Now?"

Amy says, "It's okay, you'll win or else."

Shawn says confused, "Or else?" He starts walking to the stairs as Amy grins.

 

Amy: "It is complete!"

Shawn: "This feeling... it is wrong... but so good!"

Koben: "You okay?"

Amy: "My plan is complete!"

Shawn has finally reached the ground level and gets into place. Koben says, "The next match is Tim vs. Shawn, will begin!" They place in thier decks and activate thier duel disks. "Tim will begin."
Tim draws. "I Summon Soul Tiger in defense. (2100) One face-down to end my turn."
Shawn draws. "I summon E.Hero Clayman. (800) I play Shield and Sword. This switches ATK with DEF. (2100/0)(2000/800) Next, H-Heated Heart, so Clayman gains 500 points. (2500) Also, he still does damage when he destroys a defense monster. Attack!" Clayman punches and destroys Tim's monster. This attack reduces Tim's pioints to 1500. (4000 - 2500) "One face-down to end my turn." Clayman's ATK and DEF switch. (800/2000)
Tim draws. "I summon King Tiger Wanghu. (1700) Attack Clayman!" He runs to Clayman, but explodes before he touches Clayman.
Shawn says, "Clay Charge, I tribute Clayman to destroy an attacking monster against him. Then, you lose 700 points." Clayman explodes. Due to Clay Charge, Tim's points reduce to 800. (1500 - 700) Then, King Tiger Wanghu appears on Tim's field.
Tim says, "I played Call of The Haunted to return my tiger. Now, direct attack!" He runs to Shawn and slashes him, reducing his points to 2300. (4000 - 1700) "Two face-downs to end my turn."
Shawn draws. "I play Polymerization to fuse Avian with Burstinatrix to summon E.Hero Phoenix Enforcer. (2100) He is never destroyed in battle. Attack his tiger!" He throws a punch, but misses, hitting the ground. Then, retreats to Shawn's field. Shawn's points reduce to 1650. "How?!"
Tim says, "I played Mirror Wall, so your monsters ATK was cut in half." (1050) Shawn then thinks of the battle then. (1700 - 1050 = 650)(2300 - 650 = 1650)
Shawn says, "Figures. Well, my monster is not destroyed in battle, so he survives. Also, since you don't have 2000 points to pay during your next turn, you can't keep your trap out. Your go."
Tim draws. "I destroy my Mirror Wall." His trap disappears. "I play my other face-down, Anti-Fusion Device." A stick of dynamite appears and Phoenix Enforcer grabs it. "Now, your monsters effect is negated. I equip my Tiger with Axe of Despair." An axe appears and Wanghu grabs it with his mouth. "He gains 1000 ATK points." This raises his ATK to 2700. (1700 + 1000) "Attack his monster!" He runs to Phoenix Enforcer and slashes him. The dynamite explodes, destroying Phoenix Enforcer. This attack reduces Shawn's points to 1050. (1650 + 2100 - 2700) "Your go."
Shawn draws. "Pot of Greed to draw 2 cards. I Summon E.Hero Wildheart. (1500) Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy your trap. (Call of The Haunted) Now, your tiger is also destroyed." Wanghu explodes as Axe of Despair disappears. "Attack and end this!" Wildheart jumps and destroys Kuriboh.
Tim says, "I can discard Kuriboh to make battle damage zero." Wildheart jumps back.
Shawn says, "Your go."
Tim draws. "I Summon Des Wombat. (1600) Attack Wildheart!" He slashes and destroys Wildheart. This reduces Shawn's points to 950. (1050 + 1500 - 1600) "Also, while he is face-up, I lose no points due to battle damage."
Shawn draws. "I play Special Summon E.Hero Bubbleman. (800) I draw 2 cards. Next, Bubble Shuffle switches Bubbleman and your monster to defense. (1200)(300) I tribute Bubbleman to summon E.Hero Bladedge. (2600) Attack!" He slashes and destroys Des Wombat. "Your go."

I play Block Attack to switch Bladedge to defense. (1800) I play my panther's effect to gain control of Bladedge's effect. I play Malevolent Nuzzler. He gains 700 points." Raising his ATK to 2500. (1800 + 700) "Attack Bladedge!" he slashes and destroys Bladedge. This reduces Shawn's points to 250. (950 + 1800 - 2500) "Your go."

In the clinic, Alexis is watching the duel and says, "Come on, Shawn."
Shawn, with no cards in his hand, draws. "I play Card of sanctity to draw 6 cards. You get to too." He looks at the last card.
Before the duel, in his room, Amy gave him a card with a dark aura. Shawn says, "To win, I depend on you! Firsty, I play O-Oversoul to return Avian. (1000) I play Dark Hero Evolution to tribute Avian and summon Dark Elemental Hero Avian!" A dark aura covers Avian and he disappears. A large dark figure appears and roars. (1000) A dark aura covers Shawn and changes his eyes to a bright red. "When he is summoned, I can summon this from my hand, Dark Elemental Hero Burstinatrix. (1200) I play Graceful Charity to draw 3 cards and discard 2. I play Dark Miracle Fusion to remove the discarded Dark Bubbleman and Clayman along with Dark Avian and Dark Burstinatrix to summon Dark Elemental Hero Electrum!" (2900) The large, powerful monster scares the crowd.
Amy says, "Watch and learn, this is what you are suppose to be."
Shawn says, "Attack that little kitty!" He punches and destroys Dark Panther. Reducing Tim's points to 700. (800 + 2800 - 2900) "Then, due to his effect, you lose 1000 points." There is a large explosion near him that reduces his points to 0. (700 - 1000) Dark Electrum disappears. "What are you waiting for? Declare me the winner."
Koben nods and says, "The winner is Shawn." Shawn walks past Tim. Koben says, "Get the EMTs! He is bleeding!"

Episode 10

The Darkness Spreads!

 

In his room, Shawn is looking through his new deck. The door opens and Amy comes in and say, "Looks like you like your new deck."

Shawn nods and says, "Yeah. It is so powerful. I like it. After I win my next duel, we can start the second phase."

Shawn says, "Second phase?"

Amy says, "Like I said, you will learn after I win my next duel. It is after the current one. Why aren't you watching it?"

Shawn says, "It is boring not to be part of the fun." They hear the cheering from the crowd and decide to the balcony.

At the balcony, they see Nancy and Andrew dueling. Nancy has 1500 points left. Andrew has Shining Abyss. (1600) He also has one face-down with 400 points left. It is Nancy's turn.

She draws. "I summon Susa Soldier. (2000) Attack!" He attacks a cylinder and then explodes.

Andrew says, "Magic Cylinder. You lose 2000 points." The field clears. Her points drop to 0. (50 - 2000)

Koben says, "The winner is Andrew. Next and final quarter final match is Amy vs. Stacy." Andrew and Nancy walk to the stairs.

Amy walks down the stairs with Stacy at her side. When they pass Andrew, they grin at each other.

When ready, Koben says, "Amy will begin."

 

 

Later, Shawn is almost asleep. Amy has full 4000 points and a Cyber Dragon (2100) equipped with Fairy Meteor Crush she brought back with Call of The Haunted. She also has an XYZ- Dragon Cannon (2800) out. She has just ended her turn.

She has 2900 points left. Stacy draws. "I summon Neo-Spacian Dark Panther. (1000) I play its effect to gain XYZs effect. I discard 2 cards (leaving with 3 cards in her hand) to destroy your monsters." Amy's field explodes. "Attack directly!" Amy is slashed by Dark Panther. Reducing her points to 3000. (4000 - 1000) "I place two face-downs to end my turn. He loses XYZs effect.

Amy draws. "I play Pot of Greed to draw 2 cards. I play Power Bond to fuse the 2 Cyber Dragons in my hand to summon Cyber-Twin Dragon. (2800) Plus, its ATK is doubled. (5600) Attack her panther!"

Stacy says, "Go, Nutrient Z, now I gain 4000 points." Her points raise to 6900. (2900 + 4000) Amy's monster fires two blasts of energy and destroys Stacy's monster. Her points drop to 2300. (6900 + 1000 - 5600)

Amy says, "My dragon can attack twice!" Her dragon fires two more blasts of energy at her."

Stacy says, "I play Enchanted Javelin to gain 5600 points before the attack." A javelin appears and absorbs the attack. Her points stay the same. (2300 + 5600 - 5600)

Amy says, "Damn! Oh well, your go. Now, I lose 2800 points." Her points drop to 200. (3000 - 2800)

Stacy draws. "I play Pot of Greed to draw 2 cards. I place a face-down and 1 face-down monster to end my turn."

Amy draws. "Attack her face-down monster!" Two blasts of energy destroys her Whirlwind Weasel.

Stacy says, "I play Skill Drain. So, I pay 1000 points." This reduces her points to 1300. (2300 - 1000) "Now, monster effect are negated."

Amy says, "Good. Your go."

Stacy draws. "I summon Nimble Momonga in defens. (100) Your go."

Amy draws. "I play De-Fusion to seperate my monsters to the original Cyber Dragons. (2100) I play Monster Reborn to return my first Cyber Dragon. (2100) Attack her monster!" A Cyber Dragon bites and destroys Nimble Momonga. "Attack and end this!" The remaining Cyber Dragon attack and hit Stacy. This reduces her points to 0. (1300 - 4200) The field clears.

Koben says, "The winner is Amy."

Amy walks to Stacy and says, "Thank you. You will be rewarded when I win."

Koben says, "Tomorrow will start the semi-finals. Until then, good night."

All the duelists walk to their rooms. In Shawn's room, Amy enters and says, "I have to tell you something. I preteneded to be your girlfriend I could tell you were powerful. Well, concerning your dark energy. I knew I could use you. Now that I am, I am breaking up with you."

Shawn nods and says, "I understand. While were at it, what is your plan?"

Amy says, "I will tell you when the time is right." She walks out of his room leaving a face of confusion on his face.

Shawn's New Monsters

 

Koben says, "The next and first match for the semi finals is Shawn vs. Kristin." Kristin walks by Amy and Shawn with a smile on her face and starts walking down the stairs.

Amy says to Shawn, "Win and I tell you the plan, okay?" Shawn nods and walks to the stairs.

When in place, Koben asks, "Shawn... why are you wearing a different duel disk?"

Shawn looking at his Chaos Duel Disk says, "Because I wanted to, is it illegal to change?"

Koben says, "No, and you will begin."

Shawn draws. "I summon Dark Elemental Hero Avian. (1000) I Special Summon Dark Elemental Hero Burstinatrix. (800) I place two face-downs to end my turn."

Kirstin draws. "I summon Brron, Mad King of Dark World. (1800) I play Graceful Charity to draw 3 and discard 2. I discarded Golld, Wu-Lord of Dark World, due to his effect, he is Special Summoned." Golld appears and swings his axe near Shawn's monster. (2300) "Brron, attack Dark Burstinatrix!" He jumps to Burstinatrix, but hits a black shield and is pushed back. "How did?!"

Shawn says, "I played Dark Hero Barrier, so by paying 500 points, I negate your attack." Due to his trap cards effect, his points drop to 3500. (4000 - 500) "Plus, your Battle Phase is ended."

Kristin says, "Fine. I play Raigeki." When nothing happens she asks, "Now what?!"

Shawn says, "Dark Feather Wind. I pay 500 points to negate and destroy your spell card."

Kristin says, "No wonder Amy wanted him on her side. Your go."

Shawn draws. "I play Fusion Gate. Now, I no longer need 'Polymerization' to fuse monsters. I fuse Dark Avian and Burstinatrix to summon Dark Elemental Hero Flame Wingman. (2100) I play Dark Skyscraper to increase any of my dark elemental heroes ATK by 1000 when attacking a stronger monster, like your Goldd. Attack Dark Wingman!" He flies to Golld and punches him hard, destroying him. Kristin's points drop to 3200. (4000 + 2300 - 3100) "Now, his effect activates, whenever he destroys a monster, you lose points equal to his DEF." Due this effect, her points drop to 1800. (3200 - 1400) "Your go."

Kristin draws as Amy smiles. "I tribute Brron to summon The End of Anubis." (2500) The large monster roars, scaring the crowd. "Attack Dark Wingman!" He punches and destroys Dark Wingman. This attack reduces his points to 2600. (3000 + 2100 - 2500) "One face-down and your go."

Shawn draws. "I summon Dark Elemental Hero Sparkman. (1600) I play Dark Miracle Fusion to remove Dark Sparkman and Dark Wingman to summon Dark Elemental Hero Shining Flare Wingman!" The large monster with dark aura appears and punches the air. (2500) He gains 300 ATK points for every 'Dark Elemental Hero in my grave." Due to his effect, its ATK raises to 3100. (2500 + 300x2)(Dark Avian and Dark Burstinatrix) "Attack Anubis!" He punches Anubis, destroying him in a huge explosion making Kristin cover her eyes. Her points drop to 1200. (1800 + 2500 - 3100) "Now, you lose points equal to its ATK. You lose 2500 points and the duel!" A small explosion occurs near her, but she survives.

Kirstin says, "I played Damage Polarizer. I lose no points due to effects of monsters."

Shawn says, "Your go."

Kristin says, "I play Premature Burial, and pay 800 points (1200 - 800 = 400), and bring back Golld, Wu-Lord of Dark World. (2300) I equip it with Megamorph to double its ATK points. (4600) Attack!" He slashes and destroys Dark Flare Wingman. Reducing his points to 1100. (2600 + 3100 - 4600) "Your go."

Shawn draws. "I summon Dark Elemental Hero Bubbleman. (800) Due to his effect, I draw 2 cards. I play Dark Bubble Shuffle to switch Bubbleman (1200) and Golld to defense. (1400) Then, I tribute Bubbleman to summon Dark Elemental Hero Bladedge. (2600) Attack!" He slashes and destroys Golld. "Due to his effect, you still lose points... you lose." The field clears.

Koben says, "The winner is Shawn". Kristin and Shawn start walking to stairs. "The next match is Amy vs. Andrew." They start walking to the stairs ready to duel."

Amy and Andrew place in their decks as Koben says, "Andrew will begin."

Andrew draws. "I summon Layard The Liberator. (1400) I place two face-downs to end my turn."

Amy draws. "I play Magnet Circlt LV2 to Special Summon an Ancient Gear Cannon. (500) I play Machine Duplication to summon two more cannons. (500) I tribute two of them to summon my Mechanical Hound. (2800) Attack Layard!"

Andrew says, "I play Macro Cosmos, whenever a monster is destroyed, they are removed from play." Mechanical Hound slashes Layard reducing is points to 2600. (4000 + 1400 - 2800) Then, Layard appears. (1400) "Then, I play Miraculous Descent to return a removed Fiary-type monster."

Amy says, "Fine, I tribute my Ancient Gear Cannon to inflict 500 points of damage." Ancient Gear Cannon splits into smaller pieces and floats to Andrew only to hit him reducing his points to 2100. (2600 - 500) "Your go."

Andrew draws. "I tribute Layard to summon Majestic Mech- Ohka. (2400) I play Grand Convergence. Since I have Macro Cosmos out, every monster is destroyed and you lose 300 points." Amy's monster explodes as her points reduce to 3700. (4000 - 300) "Now, attack directly, Ohka!" Ohka slashes her as her points reduce to 1300. (3700 - 2400) "Two face-downs to end my turn."

Amy draws. "I play Pot of Greed to draw 2 cards. Next, I play Power Bond to fuse my Robolady and Roboyarou to summon Super Robolady. (1200) Her ATK is doubled. (2400) I equip it with Megamorph to double her points once again. (4800) Attack Ohka!" She punches and destroys Ohka. Due to this attack, her points reduce to 400. (2100 + 3100 -4800) Amy asks, "How?!"

Andrew says, "I played Rush Recklessly, giving my Ohka 700 ATK points." (2400 + 700 = 3100)

Amy says, "Oh. My monsters ATK reduces to 1200, due to Megamorph. Your go. I also lose 1200 points." Her points reduce to 100. (1300 - 1200)

Andrew draws. "I play my other face-down, a second Miraculous Descent to return Ohka. (2400) Attack!" They attack each other, destroying the other monster. "I play Pot of Greed to draw 2 cards. One face-down to end my turn."

Amy draws. "I play Graceful Charity to draw 3 cards and discard 2. I discard a Cyber Dragon and Proto-Cyber Dragon."

Andrew says, "Go face-down, my final Miraculous Descent to return Ohka." (2400)

Amy says, "I place a face-down monster to end my turn."

Andrew draws. "Attack her face-down monster!" Ohka slashes and destroys Dekoichi, The Battlechanted Locomotive. "Dekoichi. When he is flipped, you draw a card." Amy draws a card. "Okay. Your go."

Amy draws. "I place two face-downs to end my turn."

Andrew draws. "Ohka, end this!" He jumps to her, but explodes before he can attack. "What?!"

Amy says, "Mirror Force to destroy your monsters."

Andrew says, "I place a face-down to end my turn."

Amy draws. "I summon Ancient Gear Soldier. (1300) Attack!" Ancient Gear Soldier hits a barrier blocking the attack.

Andrew says, "Negate Attack to end your Battle PHase."

Amy says, "Your go."

Andrew draws. "I summon Royal Knight. (1300) One face-down to end my turn."

Amy draws with a dark aura around her. Shawn smiles. "I play my face-down, Overload Fusion. I remove all my Machine-type monsters (2 Cyber Dragons, 3 Ancient Gear Cannons, 1 Dekoichi, and 1 Proto-Cyber Dragon) to summon my Chimeratech Overdragon! (5600) Attack his monster!" Her monster fires several blasts of energy at his monster, but he loses no points. "HOW!"

Andrew says, "I played my Spirit Barrier, with a monster out, I lose no points."

Amy says, "Not enough! Attack my Soldier!" He slashes him, reducing his points to 0. (400 - 1300) The field clears.

Koben says, "The winner is Amy". Andrew gets up as Shawn walks out of the balcony area. Koben continues, "The final match is Shawn vs. Amy. That will be in one hour. So, please stay."

Amy has made it to her room and opens the door to see Shawn standing before her. She asks, "What is the plan? You told me that you would tell me when the time is right. The time is right."

Amy looks down and looks at him before saying, "Belive it or not... I am related to King Atem." Shawn seems shocked. "I want to find the millennium Items that were sealed away by him. With the right amount of funding, I will be able to find them. I am the only one able to find them and survive all the traps to them. Okay?" Shawn nods slowly in disbelief. "Now, get out of my room!" Shawn walks out of her room closing the door behind him.

The Duel of Transforming Darkness Part 1

 

In Shawn's room, Amy and Shawn are standing across from each other. Amy say, "Remember, let me win and make it look good." Shawn nods as she leaves his room and passes Alexis walking on her own feet with a curious look on her face.

She enters Shawn's room as Shawn puts on his duel disk. Alexis asks, "Here. Something that migth help you." She hands him a face-down card to him before walking out and closes his door."

Shawn looks at it was a shocked face.

Alexis rememebers, just before Amy gave Shawn his new deck, she threw out the card she just given Shawn.

 

 

One hour later, Koben says, "The final match is ready!" Amy and Shawn face each other and activate thier duel disks. He continues, "Shawn won the coin flip backstage. So, he will begin."

Shawn draws. "I summon Dark Elemental Hero Wildheart. (1500) Trap Cards have no effect on him. Your go."

Amy draws. She looks at the balcony and sees the other 14 duelists watching the duel. "I Special Summon Cyber Dragon. (2100) Attack!" He fires a ball of energy from its mouth that hits and destroys Dark Wildheart. This attack reduces Shawn's points to 3400. (4000 + 1500 - 2100) "One face-down to end my turn."

Shawn draws. "I play Polymerization to fuse Dark Burstinatrix and Dark Bubbleman to summon Dark Elemental Hero Steam Healer. (1800) Next, I play the Field Spell, Dark Skyscraper!" The area changes to a city with many tall, black skyscrapers. "When one of my 'Dark Elemental Hero' attacks a stronger monster, it gains 1000 points. Attack Cyber Dragon!" Dark Steam Healer covers Cyber Dragon in steam before punching it and destroying it. This attack reduces Amy's points to 3300. (4000 + 2100 - 2800)(NOTE: Dark Steam Healer's ATK is raised to 2800 during the battle only.)

Amy says, "I play Damage Condenser, to Special Summon Ancient Gear Cannon." (500) Her machine appears in front of her.

Shawn says, "Good play. I willl still kill you to win this duel."

Koben asks Shawn, "ISn't that too far?"

Shawn says, "Not in my eyes. Now, I play Dark Steam Healer's effect to increase my points by 500." His points raise to 3900. (3400 + 500) "And decrease yours (Amy) by 500." Reducing her points to 2800. (3300 - 500) He grins. "One face-down to end my turn."

Amy draws. "He is blowing the plan. I play Vehicroid Connection Zone to fuse Driillroid, Submarineroid, and Steamroid to summon Super Vehicle Jumbo Drill. (3000) Next, I play my Ancient Gear Cannon's effect to tribute it and inflict 500 points of damage." It breaks up into seperate pieces and flies to Shawn to hit him reducing his points to 3400. (3900 - 500) "Jumbo Drill, attack Dark Steam Healer!" Jumbo Drill drills underground and pops up under Dark Steam Healer, destroying it. This reduces his points to 2200. (3400 + 1800 - 3000) Jumbo Drill drills underground again and pops up in front of her. "Your go."

Shawn draws. He looks at the card, Dark Neos. "I play Dark Elemental Hero Neos's effect, if he is the only card in my hand, like now, I can discard him to draw 3 cards." He sends it to the graveyard to draw 3 cards from his deck. "Though, I am forbidden to play any more Spell Cards this turn. I play my face-down, Call of The Haunted to return Dark Neos!" (2500) He appears and punches the air. "Attack! Don't forget about my Dark Skyscraper!" He jumps to her monster before punching it and destroying it. Reducing her points to 2300. (2800 + 3000 - 3500)(NOTE: Again, Neo's ATK is raised to 3500 during the battle only.) "Your go."

Amy draws. "I play Pot of Greed to draw 2 cards." Draws her cards and smiles. "I Special Summon my second Cyber Dragon. (2100) Next, Polymerization to fuse my two Cyber Dragons (1 in her hand, 1 on the field) and summon my Cyber-Twin Dragon. (2800) He can attack twice. Attack Neos!" Both heads fires a ball of energy at Neos and destroys him reducing Shawn's points to 1900. (2200 + 2500 - 2800)

Shawn says, "I play Neos effect. Since he was destroying in battle by a Fusion Monster, the Battle Phase ends."

Amy says, "Intresting. Your go."

Shawn draws. "I summon Dark Elemental Hero Clayman in defense. (2000) I play Dark Miracle Fusion to remove Dark Clayman and Dark Burstinatrix to summon Dark Elemental Hero Rampart Blaster. (2000) Attack!" She fires two rockets at and destroys Cyber-Twin Dragon. Her points drop to 2100. (2300 + 2800 - 3000)(NOTE: Dark Rampart Blaster's ATK is increase by 1000.) "Your go."

Amy draws. "I play Monster Reborn to return one of my Cyber Dragons. (2100) Attack!" It fires a ball of energy at and destroys Dark Ramapart Blaster reducing Shawn's points to 1800. (1900 + 2000 - 2100) "Two face-downs. Your go."

Shawn draws. "I summon Dark Elemental Hero Avian in defense. (1000) One face-down to end my turn."

Amy draws. "You in a corner yet? I summon Proto-Cyber Dragon. (1100) He is treated as Cyber Dragon. I play one of my face-downs, Jar of Greed to draw 1 card. Finally, I play Call of The Haunted to return a second Cyber Dragon. (2100) I play Polymerization to fuse all 3 Cyber Dragons and summon my Cyber End Dragon!" (4000) It appears and roars as the crowd cheers for it. "Attack and end this!" It fires an attack Shawn's monster.

The Duel of Transforming Darkness Part 2

 

Cyber End Dragon's attack hits and then a big explosion surrounds Shawn. When the smoke clears, Shawn has opened his face-dwon, Negate Attack. Amy screams, "You have to be kidding?! Fine. More time to play with you. Your turn."

Shawn draws and looks shocked at the card he drew. It is the card Alexis gave him. He says, "I play Hero's Light- Change of Hero!" Dark Avian screams as white smoke covers him. The smoke disappears as everyone is surprised to see Elemental Hero Avian. "Hero's Light tributes my Dark Avian to Special Summon Avian." (1000) Shawn, with 1800 points left, says, "I am sorry. I gave into the darkness. Alexis." He looks at Alexis in the balcony. "I will save Amy." He turns to Amy, who has 2100 points left, with a grin on her face. "I play Polymerization to fuse Avian and Bubbleman to summon Elemental Hero Mariner. (1400) I place a card face-down. Now, he can attack directly." Amy looks shocked as Mariner's anchor hits her and retracts reducing her points to 700. (2100 - 1400) "Your go."

Amy draws. "I play Monster Reborn to return Cyber Dragon. (2100) Cyber End Dragon, attack Mariner!" Her dragon fires 3 seperate attacks at Mariner.

Shawn says, "Hero Barrier to negate your attack."

Amy smiles and says, "That only works on my Cyber End! Attack, Cyber Dragon!" Cyber Dragon fires an attack that hits and destroys Mariner reducing his points to 1100. (1800 + 1400 - 2100) "I end my turn."

Shawn draws. "I activate Graceful Charity to draw 3 cards and discard 2. I discard Necroshade and Wildheart. I play Miracle Fusion to remove Necroshade and Wildheart to summon Elemental Hero Necriod Shaman. (1900) I choose a monster to destroy, like your Cyber End!" Her dragon explodes in a huge explosion. "Then, I replace it with Steamroid. (1800) Attack!" Necroid Shaman punches and destroys Steamroid. Her points drop to 100. (700 + 1300 - 1900)(NOTE: Due to Steamroid's effect, its ATK reduced by 500 to 1300 during the Damage Step.) "Your go."

Amy draws. "Attack, Cyber Dragon!" Her dragon fires an attack that destroys Necroid Shaman. His points reduce to 900. (1100 + 1900 - 2100) "I play Dian Keto The Cure Master to raise my points by 1000." Her points raise to 1100. (100 + 1000) "Your go."

Shawn draws. "I play Card of Sanctity. We both draw until we have 6 cards in hand. I play O-Oversoul to return Avian. (1000) I play Hero's Light other effect, to return 1 removed monster to my field. I choose Wildheart. (1500) Go, my final Polymerization to fuse Wildheart and Avian to summon Elemental Hero Wild Wingman. (1900) I play Skyscraper." The area's Dark Skyscrapers' windows turn yellow with light. "You know the drill. Attack!" He punches and destroys Cyber Dragon. Her points reduces to 300. (1100 + 2100 - 2900) "One face-down to end my turn."

Amy draws. "I play Soul of The Pure to regain 800." Due to her card, her points raise to 1100. (300 + 800) "I play Re-Fusion to return a Fusion Monster in my grave. I choose, my Cyber End Dragon!" Her dragon slowly appears behind her and roars. (4000) "All at a cost of 800 points." Her points drop to 300. (1100 - 800) Shawn is shaking looking at her monster. "Now, end this!" Her dragon fires three attacks just as Wild Wingman changes into Avian and Wildheart. (1000)(1600)

Shawn says, "I play De-Fusion to seperate Wild Wingman to its Fusion Material Monsters."

Amy says, "Fine. Attack Wildheart!" Her monster fires another attack that hits and destroys Wildheart. "I win!"

Shawn says, "Not yet. I played Elemental Recharge to regain 1000 points for every 'Elemental Hero' out." So, his points grew to 2900. (900 + 1000x2) Then, after the attack, his points dropped to 500. (2900 + 1600 - 4000)

Amy says, "Good timing on your part. I end my turn."

Shawn says, "Now, she is playing with me. Should could have defeated me just then. I place a face-down to end my turn."

Amy draws. "Okay, no more playing around! Cyber End Dragon, attack!" Her monster fires three attacks. But, all miss their target.

Shawn says, "I play Threatening Roar. During this turn, no attacks can be declared."

Amy says, "You are just stalling. I play Dark Snake Syndrome. During my Standby Phase, we will lose 200 points. That will double during each turn. Your go."

Shawn draws. "I switch Avian to attack mode. (1000) I end with one face-down. If I can defeat that dragon, I can save her."

Amy draws. Her points, due to Dark Snake Syndrom, reduces to 100. (300 - 200) Shawn's points reduce to 300. (500 - 200) "I see that you understand the fact that you can't win!" She sees Shawn looking down at the ground. "Attack and end this!"

Shawn raises his head and says, "In life, we have to work and live with stuff we hate. I hate the darkness in our hearts. There is no way around that! So, I will use that. I play Dark Soul Union to increase my Avian's ATK by one of my 'Dark Elemental Hero's in my grave. I choose Dark Neos." Avian's ATK raises to 3500. (1000 + 2500) "He also 1000 points for this turn only." Everyone is shocked as Avian's ATK raises to 4500. (3500 + 1000) Avian jumps to Cyber End and flies through it. Eventually, Cyber End explodes reducing her points to 0. (100 + 4000 - 4500) The field clears as the area turns back to normal.

Koben says, "The winner is Shawn Micoro!" The crowd cheers as Shawn walks to Amy.

In front of her, an image of her Cyber End Dragon appears and vades away as her dark aura around her also leaves her body. She gets to walk him as media with cameras surround them and start taking many pictures. Amy kisses him.

Shawn asks, "What was that for?"

Amy answers, "For winning the tournament." She kisses him once again. "And that one was for saving me."
