In this DS crossover between Pokémon and the Nobunaga's Ambition video game series, you take control of warriors and Pokémon in a whole new region.

A legend is foretold that the one who unifies all the 17 kingdoms of the Ransei Region will have a chance to encounter the Legendary Pokémon, Arceus, who created the Ransei Region. Warrios and Warlords all over the region sought to fulfill the foretold legend, thus bringing Ransei's peaceful era to and end in battle.

The player, accompanied by an Eevee, travels throughout the Ransei Region, befriending Pokémon and battling Warlords and Warlord Leaders to conquer the region and unite it as one nation; Warlords and Warlord Leaders can join the player's party, allowing the player access to more Pokémon. The gameplay is turn-based strategy, with different Pokémon being capable of different attacks and means of movement. Warlords also have unique battle-changing powers that boost their Pokémon's powers. The various Warlords and Warlord Leaders are named after figures in Japanese history, with the game's Nobunaga being a take on the real Oda Nobunaga.

Now that the game's been out in America for a bit, I'm hoping we can get an actual discussion that the old thread (which I don't even know if anyone remembers) lacked.

I swear to God that man in the picture is Cao Cao. Everyone thinks I'm crazy for saying that but I TOTALLY know that man is Cao Cao. And because my mother had me tested. But since it is Japanese history, and not Chinese, I could see how it could be Nobunaga.

It actually looks bad on paper, but a friend of mine has been playing it non-stop ever since he got it because he's literally addicted to it, so it must sound fun. Too bad I'm broke and can't afford a 3DS.

What the f*** kind of logic is that? Calling a game gay as hell just because you haven't played it?

I played this game.

It's tedious as hell. This was my thought process as I played it:

> Beat the main game story once
"Oh this isn't so bad"

> Beat the game 34(*) more times, using a different character. Also all your levels are reset between each play through.
"Are you shitting me?"

(*) Yeah, I know it's not REALLY 34 more times. There are a bunch of different missions at the end but they all pretty much play in exactly the same way. "Unite all of Raisin", "Collect 100 Pokemon (the best way to do this is to unite all of Raisin)", or "Unite only a small section", like the seven girls fighting to see which of them is the most beautiful, the three guys from the fire kingdom arguing, and the ninja argument in the east. It's okay to play once, maybe twice, but the end game is so damn tedious. I don't even care about any of these warlords other then the protagonist I made and Oichi.

Its pretty decent. I usually play through one story every once in a while, and try to get everyone their perfect partner if I can. Its a casual game, not one where you can just play straight through, because it will seem like a chore if you do.
