"Hell Chronicles Disgaea") is a [url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Video_game_series"]video game series[/url] of [url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tactical_role-playing_game"]tactical role-playing games[/url] created and developed by [url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nippon_Ichi"]Nippon Ichi[/url]. The series debuted in Japan on January 30, [url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2003_in_video_gaming"]2003[/url], with [i][url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disgaea:_Hour_of_Darkness"]Disgaea: Hour of Darkness[/url][/i], later re-released as [i]Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness[/i] and [i]Disgaea DS[/i]. One of Nippon Ichi's most popular franchises, it has branched off into both a [url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manga"]Manga[/url] and [url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anime"]Anime[/url] series. The [i]Disgaea[/i] games take place in a fictional universe called the Netherworld and are known for their uncommon RPG elements, such as complex gameplay, extremely high maximum [url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Statistic_%28role-playing_games%29"]stats[/url] and humorous dialogue. Main characters in the series often include cynical, power-hungry [url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antihero"]antiheroes[/url] forced to fight alongside [url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hero"]heroic[/url] [url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foil_%28literature%29"]foils[/url], much to their disdain. The [i]Disgaea[/i] series has sold 1.7 million games as of November 2011.

I´m recently hooked on it. I don´t know how I found about it, but I like it. I´m currently playing the first game (DS Version) and its quite entertaining despite being a Tactical RPG (I prefer more traditional RPGs and Action RPGs), yet it has something special-may be the characters and their stories-that attracts me.
