Zowayix
I just came up with some random ideas for somewhat balancing currently Forbbiden cards. Are they any good? Painful Choice Select 5 cards from your Deck and reveal them to your opponent. Your opponent selects 1 card among them. Add that card to your hand and place the remaining 4 cards on the bottom of your Deck (in any order). Your opponent draws 1 card. The bottom of the Deck is arguably currently the hardest place to retrieve cards from. The opponent also getting a +1 in addition to your +0 should help balance it. Yata-Garasu This card cannot be Special Summoned. This card returns to its owner's hand during the End Phase of the turn it is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up. When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, sends it to the Graveyard, and inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent, they skip their next Draw Phase. Since Yata-Garasu only has 200 ATK, actually destroying the opponent's monsters with it should be pretty difficult. Also eliminates the one-card Lockdown. Victory Dragon This card cannot be Special Summoned. To Tribute Summon this card, you must Tribute 3 monsters whose original (printed) Type is Dragon. If this card is the only monster on the field and it successfully attacks your opponent directly, their Life Points become 0. Not sure if this card is still overpowered, but it's pretty difficult to pull off multi-Tribute Normal Summons in the current metagame. And I might as well also throw in a somewhat balanced version of an overpowered anime-only effect: Earthbound Immortal Wiraqocha Rasca (1 ATK / 1 DEF) There can only be 1 face-up "Earthbound Immortal" monster on the field. If there is no face-up Field Spell Card on the field, destroy this card. Your opponent cannot select this card as an attack target. This card can attack your opponent directly. This card's ATK and DEF are always 1. When this card attacks directly, you can reduce your opponent's Life Points to the ATK of this card instead of inflicting Battle Damage. If you use this effect, only "Earthbound Immortal Wiraqocha Rasca" can inflict damage to the opponent for the rest of the Duel. This attempts to keep its signature "LP to 1" effect from the anime, but preventing anything else from ever damaging the opponent for the rest of the Duel, similar to the way Rex Goodwin tried to use it in the anime. Comments? Are these still overpowered? Link to comment
Bahamut - Envoy of the End
Painful Choice - Sort of the right idea of the way to go, since the graveyard set up is potentially more benefial than the hand selection, but still a gain any 1 of 5 you want. Maybe limit selection to 5 monsters? Plus 1's to opponent are always deeply unfavourable for players. Yata - Seems fine. Victory Dragon - Any instant win card, whatever its method or circumstances, should burn in hell. Except Venominaga, since its win condition is usually redundant. Link to comment
