The console's already banned in Germany for the exact same reason. The final decision will be made by Obama. People say it's unlikely, as, frankly, big companies have the power. I may dislike the typical user for it, I may dislike the overall game library. But to hate it? Are you kidding? Streamlined interface for multimedia usage, smooth controller for a particular albeit extremely niche and popular genre of games, and frequent Indie Support more than other consoles make it ideal for whatever reason regardless of distaste. But I'd have to agree with it being straight up discontinued entirely if at all possible. It's too late in the 360s life to ship out a new model, even for free. And from what I understand, this is hardly the only patent law it's came under fire from. Making it rather notorious at Microsoft's apparent invincibility, which is starting to show it's own wear and tear. Love my windows 7 though <3. [/quote] It has no games I like(Well... maybe GG2:Overture only because GG). The only reason I hate it is because no one shuts the f*** up about it. Only Indie Game I care about is Minecraft and I already own that on PC. I'm allowed to have an opinion, am I not? I've owned a X360 before and I sold it, simply because the PS3/Wii appeals more to the games I like(Platformers and RPGs). Also, the PS3 still has a more comfortable controller IMO. Posted May 30, 2012 Report Share Posted May 30, 2012 I agree with Jordan, the XBOX 360 Controller is big, heavy and cumbersome, it drains the batteries like a a vampire with blood, The thing has no fresh games, no franchises ever take off on it, most of the indie games are too bad to speak of, and most of those bad ones are limited becasue of the 360's hardware, which is why nobody likes Minecraft on the 360, No modification support, Multiplayer servers have to be run by Mojang, 24/7 servers are impossible Online feels like a kick in the balls, we paid over 200 bucks for the system and now you want us to give you another 50 bucks a year for online access! Screw that! Another thing is that most of the games have no substance for Single Player, CALL OF DUTY I AM LOOKING AT YOU. When you do get online it is filled to the f***ing brim of 6 year olds who have NO IDEA what they are doing and completely shoot the purpose of match/game in the ass by letting the whole party/team/clan down! The Controller is horribly unresponsive and you have to PUNCH the buttons in for them to do anything, having to buy another cable to connect it to a 360 is annoying too! Compared to the PS3 which allowed you to use a common USB cable which you can buy for about 4 bucks, we have to go out and SPEND EVEN MORE ON STUPID s***. The controller cable costs 20 dollars minimum! Many ported games such as TF2 to the XBOX 360 (Orange Box) get f***ing flacked because it doewsnt have any good maps or players. Go get the PC version, Its Free. Forever. The Kinect is just " WHAT?? WHY!?" because it has... No Good Games Unresponsive Glitchy All the games are repetetive. The Wii has better games and motion control, In Skyward Sword, it actually FEELS like YOU are Link and YOU have the Master Sword in YOUR hand! Not waving about an invisible lightsaber! If you move one millimetre away from where you are standing, Kinect throws a complete hissy fit, The Kinect ID wont recognise me AT ALL. The thing MAKES YOU STAND, and I'm like "Why the f*** cant I sit down and select Vuze with my hand. The voice recognition sucks, DS did it better, and that is a INFERIOR PORTABLE system by NINTENDO! So there you have it, 360 sucks, Go but a Wii/PS3/Gaming PC, they're far better than the piece of crap we know as the XBOX 360. One last thing, it ruined one of Rarewares greatest franchises. [/quote] This honestly begs the question "Why do you like the PS3 then?" Don't act like the 360 is the only console with fanboys. Honestly, the sales for the PS3 and the 360 are roughly even (or at least they were last time I checked) and the libraries are barely different bar the few exclusives (which from what I've seen the PS3 is better at anyway) so I don't see it affecting the consumers much. It's also not like everyone is still trying to buy a console. Not to say they're not buying them but I can't see a logical reason for current sales to be too high. The PS3 does have fanboys, but the X360 has a large population of CoD/FPS Fanboys. Also, my X360 broke down. A lot. My first PS3 broke too, but since then, touch wood... Nothing's ever gone wrong. This is a question on it's own practices with breaking patent laws many times, the current of which happens to involve Motorola's WiFi patent. They're a multinational corporation, a Fortune 500 company, and one of the largest software businesses in the entire world. Darth Revan of the Sith Posted June 2, 2012 Report Share Posted June 2, 2012 Honestly I find this whole thing to be a publicity stunt to give more popularity for the XBOX so people buy the next gen XBOX when it comes out considering most attention has been brought to the Wii U. I have been a sony fan since the PSX. And I have never really been interested in the XBOX franchise except for the Halo Franchise but even THAT game won't make me buy a 360. Generally this lawsuit doesn't affect me at all. I found the Kinect to be ripoff of the PS2's EyeToy just with new graphics and I find the payout for XBOXLive to be stupid. I have played XBOX before and graphics tend to be of a lower quality in medium pop games than on Sony (LOTR:Conquest for example). The controller looks like the demented brother of the Sony controller and although I find the PlayStation Move to be a rip off of the Wii, I find the synchro between the console and the controller better than on the Wii.
