JesusofChaos™
yes casius effect activates as soon as it hits the field but you can chain any card you want
The Dark One
Isn't there some weird thing about his effect having priority and then you missing the timing to activate BTH or others? I think you can't activate cards that can only be activated in response to a summon unless they also negate the summon. eg. Pulling the Rug, Forced Back, Solemn Judgment, etc.
tonisanoob
no i mean like say you target a face down compulsory with it for instance would you be able to chain it and send it back to hand
HORUS
obviously. you can chain to just about anything.
uzumakinaruto93
yes, however the compulsory will not negate the effect
Exiro
Yes, you can chain with every card that could be activated when a monster is summoned, and that doesn't mean it has to be specifically at that time (So you can use Trap Hole as well as Raigeki Break), but if you chain to it, then the effect of the monarch is Chain Link 1 and the Trap is Chain Link 2, so you should first say which card to destroy in case you use Raigeki Break, and then the player who summoned the monarch can choose which card to destroy, even though his monarch is destroyed (if that was the case). However, if you negate the summon with for example Forced Back, then the Monarch would never have his effect activated. And I don't think that priority would matter at this time, because the monarch's effect would be Chain Link 1 anyways (you cannot chain anything with 'summoning a monarch').
