Spirit Beasts: The Dawn of a new Evil

Chapter 1 - Enter Bikou

 

 

 

"Sutoraiku. Awaken." Bikou had whispered in to the boys mind. The beast known as Bikou roughly nudged the teenaged boy to wake him. The boy opened his left eye groggily, he was still tired and didn't know what was happening, "Uhn.." He grunted out 'tired' noises. "Wh-Who in the... no wait. What in the name of Kami are you!" It was almost a rhetorical question, Sutoraiku didn't actually want to know, his mind just fluttered. He wasn't scared, yet he was nervous. What was this creature doing in his house?

 

"I, I am a Spirit Beast. I was sent from the World of Spirit to be assigned to you, I'm your guardian. You will learn the ways of the shadow," The black, feline-like beast explained to Sutoraiku, "I'm the Spirit Beast of Shadow's. I am Bikou, and you... you, Sutoraiku, are a gifted child. You, my friend, are the wielder of shadows. Just like I."

The boy sucked in all the information, he didn't know what to think of it, "Okay... Well..." He muttered on, "Let me get some sleep, you can explain it all... in the the morning..." He finished the sentence of with a series of yawns.

 

When Sutoraiku had awoken, he sighed and yawned. The winced, the natural sunlight glazed through his windows just like intense ultra-violet rays. He breathed heavily through his nose, the only smell was that of the Lilac's in his parents gardens. He then noticed the black cat sitting upon his chest, "Ho-ly flying..." He mumbled some curse words under his breath, "this is the 3rd time this week, Char, how are you getting in!" He sat the cat on the floor of his room, gently.

He quickly noticed a voice in his head, oddly enough it wasn't his, Sutoraiku, it's me. Bikou. The feline's voice shattered through Suto's mind. He gasped, "What..? That, last night... it wasn't a dream..?"

 

"Yes, I'm real. I understand the shock. I am this cat, the one known as Char. I have been watching over you for years now, I have two forms. Spirit Form and Animal Form," Bikou said, "At this moment I am in Animal Form." You are gifted, you're a Spirit Wielder. You have the powers of shadows." He started to explain once again, Sutoraiku was only more dumbfounded at the fact that he was Char, his neighbor's cat. Bikou started to speak again, "Now I need to explain why I need you now, at this moment."

 

Sutoraiku blinked vigorously, "O-Okay, this is going to sound crazy. I have a strange feeling it is... By the way, call me Suto, Bikou..?" His gut wrenched, he felt like it was going to be bad news, who knows? It was a more likely was.

Suto inhaled and exhaled, "Alright, I'm ready to catch whatever it is that you're throw at me." He seemed calm on the outside, but on the inside he was just completely confused.

 

Bikou purred, he was still in cat form which made it 'that' much more weird for him to talk to Sutoraiku. He began explaining, "Alright, 'Suto'. I'm from the World of Spirits, the 'other-world' as you may know it. The reason why I'm showing myself to you is because there is a disruption in the Spirit World," All Sutoraiku could do was nod, even that made his sweat and Bikou hadn't gotten to the serious part yet, "A demon, known as Reiten, has invaded the Spirit World. This happened around midnight, your time, two day ago. He has taken the power of all the spirits and Spirit Beast's that were in the Spirit World around this time and absorbed it to make himself more powerful. Only three of us Beasts escaped, including I."

 

Sutoraiku's jaw dropped, "What..." He didn't even know how to react, but he understood. Bikou walked around the bed, he transformed in to his beast form. A black, aura-like shadow surrounded his body and took the shape of a feline creature. He looked like a black lynx, only more muscular and stood upright. "This is just craziness, why me! I'm just a normal kid." Suto put his hand through his hair, he ran his hand down the longer stands of hair and sighed.

 

"Alright kid, get up and get dressed. We're meeting up with the other Spirit Beasts and their element wielders." Bikou lifted Suto out of the bed. Suto made a soft grunt and shout as he was lifted and landed, he put some clothes on.

As Suto was dressing, he realized something, "Wait, won't everybody notice you! I mean come one, you're a giant cat monster, that's not normal in our world."

 

Bikou smirked, he shook his head as he replied, "Don't you notice? Can you not feel aura?" He asked, as if it was something Suto always felt. "Ever since the World of Spirit was disrupted everything was 'sent out of whack'. Spirits and the living are now drifting in 'limbo' (The gap between spirits and the living). This world and the Spirit World are now deserted, the only things that are living on this planet are you and the two other Wielders are here on the planet with the other Spirit Beasts. The Wielders with Spirit Beasts that were captured are now in Spirit World being controlled by Reiten. You and the others are lucky. We're meeting up with them after."

 

Sutoraiku moaned, "For the love of freaking... spirit..." He had nothing else to say, this was quite a bit to take in all in one day. "Alright, I guess I understand... thanks." Bikou chuckled, there was a slight grin on his face.

 

Just a piece I've been working on, I felt I wanted some critique I suppose. Anyways, I shall post Chapter 2 - Shikai Haruno and The Kingdom of Death later! (Still working on it)
