tallman95
Anybody sing, play an instrument, compose? I sing in my school's choral groups, I'm a Bass 2-Tenor 2. I also played the Trumpet for a little while.

Do you have any particular inspirations?

Maybe a bit more polished than standard acoustic guitar, piano + singing, but I do love it. I mean, people like Florence + The Machine, Gotye and Kimbra come to mind. Really unique, each of them covering a really fun fusion of pop and something else: gospel/tribal, vintage/experimental, and soul, respectively. That sounds really interesting though. Gotye's one of my favorite artists,as you can tell from my avatar lol. I went to see him and Kimbra is concert and it was incredible. If you ever manage to get some songs out there I would love to listen to them.
.Rai
I totally agree with everything you said there. I can't always blame it on all singer/songwriters though. Especially when most of them have tiny, tiny budgets that they follow, but then again, there are plenty of low-budget people who do a new twist. Obviously Gotye, who basically did the entirety of Making Mirrors in a barn. I'd love to play the trumpet like you did for a bit, but I'm hopeless at all brass. Lol >.<
tallman95
I started trumpet in 5th grade for the sole reason that I thought it would be easy because it had tree keys. Of course I was an idiot and didn't understand how hard it would be to pick up lol. I re-visit it now and again because it's just fun to play with, and it's great for jazz. FindingTheEverlight
I play bass and a little guitar. I advertise for fill in bass. People call me if they need a bad player, so I generally play for them or I get my friend if the playing is too technical for my skill. Generally, I can learn a song in about 30 minutes to an hour. So, if you're near Chicago and need a fill in bass player, hit me up!

Mehmani
Jazz piano, clarinet, sax and ukulele (not really a proper instrument). And I'm a baritone. Mediocre at all instruments except piano, which I'm pretty good at.
