Guitar, violin, piano, flute.

I've been working for like half a year on a alternative album.

Sweet, I know a little bit about guitar and piano but not enough to say I actually play it. How's your sound? Do you have any particular inspirations?

I've always liked that singer/songwriter sound really. Maybe a bit more polished than standard acoustic guitar, piano + singing, but I do love it.

I mean, people like Florence + The Machine, Gotye and Kimbra come to mind. Really unique, each of them covering a really fun fusion of pop and something else: gospel/tribal, vintage/experimental, and soul, respectively.

My biggest problem with sing/songwriter type music is that there isn't much variety, but what do you expect when it's mostly just a guy with an acoustic guitar. That sounds really interesting though. Gotye's one of my favorite artists,as you can tell from my avatar lol. I went to see him and Kimbra is concert and it was incredible. If you ever manage to get some songs out there I would love to listen to them.

I totally agree with everything you said there.

I can't always blame it on all singer/songwriters though. Especially when most of them have tiny, tiny budgets that they follow, but then again, there are plenty of low-budget people who do a new twist. Obviously Gotye, who basically did the entirety of Making Mirrors in a barn.

I'd love to play the trumpet like you did for a bit, but I'm hopeless at all brass. Lol >.<

I started trumpet in 5th grade for the sole reason that I thought it would be easy because it had tree keys. Of course I was an idiot and didn't understand how hard it would be to pick up lol. I re-visit it now and again because it's just fun to play with, and it's great for jazz.

I play bass and a little guitar. I advertise for fill in bass. People call me if they need a bad player, so I generally play for them or I get my friend if the playing is too technical for my skill. Generally, I can learn a song in about 30 minutes to an hour.

So, if you're near Chicago and need a fill in bass player, hit me up!

I'm not near Chicago but how long have you been playing?

You're looking at the modern-day Beethoven right here.

So I'm going to assume you're a genius composer who is going deaf lol

I'm mostly a singer. I perform in musicals and stuff of that nature.

I've been in three musicals and I love them to bits. Anything Goes, Grease and Oh, What A Lovely War. The last one in particular was wonderful. Catch it on youtube.
