When REDMD is banned...

I'll spend the next 10 years making cards like this:

You can banish 1 Dragon-Type monster you control: Special Summon this card from your hand or Graveyard. Once per turn, you can activate one of the following effects: ● Banish 1 Dragon-Type monster from your Graveyard; Special Summon 1 Dragon-Type monster from your hand. ● Banish 1 Dragon-Type monster from your hand; Special Summon 1 Dragon-Type monster from your Graveyard. You cannot Special Summon a "Red-Eyes Armored Dragon", other than this card, using the effects of this card.
ATK / 2400 DEF / 2000

Normal Summon a Dragon = This + 1 other dragon

At least its ATK is weak for a level 8

One thing REDMD had going for it that this card actually has an advantage over is that REDMD was level 10. As a level 8 he is a trade-in target which means you can trade him in draw two new cards and since he doesn't have any summoning limitations you Monster reborn or what have you get him back and grab another level 8 dragon and look you have perfect Xyz for Gimmick Puppets or to be really funny you can go Neo Galaxy Eyes. So you most likely you are going probably have the same situations as people who use REDMD today use. The problems is that dragons are just very strong swarmers and for one dragon two up and summon another probably more powerful dragon is just how they work no real way to get around that.
