Hotaru987
So if I take out the part about scanning weapons into it's data base would I be able to keep the watch? You see my character won't really have super powers so I'm trying to find a way for her to have the weapons she needs without completely bulking her up with weapons. So if I was to alter the way the watch worked with the weapons would there be a chance I could keep the weapon's function?
ListenToLife
USER NAME: KCNameless NAME: Leon Damien Clement AGE: 18 GENDER: Male APPEARANCE: - HEIGHT: 6" - 182cm - WEIGHT: 149 lb - 67.5 Kg - FIGURE: Slim/Lanky. - HAIR COLOR: Medium - Dark Brown, depending on the amount recent exposure to sunlight. - HAIR STYLE: Shoulder length, straight-scruffy, long side bangs and middle bang, on the left side of the nose. - EYE COLOR: Forest Green with large bags. - COMPLEXION: Pale-British, European-Caucasian. - CLOTHING: Leon is often found wearing one of the many casual, Band-shirts that he owns, along with a pair of light denim jeans fixed with a black, leather belt that is usually covered by the shirt. He often wears a pair of Black and white converse with these, and may occasionally wear a plain black hooded Jacket over the top when going out. Along the edge of the pockets of this jacket there are multiple badges displaying different bands and artists. While out on official business/important stuff, Leon will wear a plain white shirt with a - often loose - neck tie, of varying colours. Over the top of this shirt he will wear a long, thin, black leather trenchcoat which stops mid shin. At the collar of this trench coat is a microphone, which acts as a voice controlled phone, allowing him to contact anyone he knows. He wears the same jeans and belt when in this outfit, though his shoes are more combat friendly trainers, able to take lots of damage. If on a mission, he will also wear a long, katana with a bone white blade over his back. This Katana is symbolic of his mild Japanese ancestry, and his minor obsession with the Japanese culture, which also shows itself in some of his other clothing, and a few Japanese Kanji symbols tattooed across his body, most notable a symbol on each shoulder saying 'Bone', which seem to glow when his power is used, and a symbol on the palm of each had, translating to 'Emerge', from which most of his bones seem to erupt. Whether this is due to ease, coincidence or channeling of the power, only Leon knows. To show his position in the Teen Titans, he occasionally wears a bandana on his arm with Teen Titans written in bright red letters, and always wears a medium sized medallion around his neck, depicting the 'TT' of Teen Titans. DIVISION / POSITION: Teen Titans North / New Member POWERS / ABILITIES: Leon has control over the power of Osteokinesis. This means that he has the ability to manipulate his own bone structure to a certain extent(And possibly the bone structure of other things in the future). He can manipulate his own structure as far as his body will allow. This means that he can lighten the density of his own bones so as to lighten his entire body, granting him more agility and speed - although his attack strength in this form is much weaker - and vice-versa, making his bones more dense in order to give himself a stronger attack, provided the attack is from the above or diagonally above. This also allows him to control the speed of a fall to a minor extent. This control is limited by his body's capabilities, so he can only decrease the density to the point where the body would collapse upon itself, and increase until the point where the bone structure would be too heavy for the body to support. He can also manipulate the hardness of the bones, allowing him to withstand impacts that would otherwise shatter bones, though this does not make him immune. His manipulation of his bones also allows him to mentally control his movements, allowing him to move when he would otherwise be crippled, though this weakens him drastically and he is unable to fight effectively like this. His manipulation of bones allows him to shape and move the bones aswell, allowing him to use his bones as weapons and project them out of his body. This is painful to him, but is effective as a weapon choice as the weapon is literally an extension of his own body. He is not limited by the shape of these protrusions, though once they are not touching his internal skeleton, he cannot adjust their density, and they are limited by size(Though this can increase as he trains more). He can shoot his bones as projectiles, but is currently limited to 10 bone darts before his body must regenerate the lost bones. These are as damaging as extremely high-calibre bullets, but Leon's poor aim and their high recoil makes them almost useless at far range, and are much more effective as shotgun-like rounds, and are often used to destroy surrounding objects, or as a distraction. To complement his power he also has a minor healing ability, which allows him to heal the wounds from his power almost instantly, along side other minor wounds. More serious wounds still take time, but heal almost twice as fast. He is a close-arms specialist, being proficient in multiple forms of martial arts and close-ranged weaponry, such as most types of sword, the Kama/Kusarigama, multiple poled weapons(Spears, Naginata, etc) and Axes, though he prefers the use of swords and Katana. (In the future, he may gain the ability to telekinetically control and manipulate non-living bones within the surrounding area, though he will not be able to change their density, due to the lack of cells being created) STANDARD EQUIPMENT: A long Katana(roughly 5 Shaku blade), with a bone-white blade. It has a personalized hilt, which serves as storage for a variety of small weaponry, such as knives, kama and chains. He also owns a collection of multiple other types of weapon, but will rarely use any but his Katana, the small weaponry inside said Katana, and occasionally a Spear. Although he mostly uses the Katana, he often uses the bones inside his body to create weapons, and is much better at weilding those. PERSONALITY: Leon has a very punk/mosher attitude. He is a rebellious person who is much against the current restrictions against society, and will frequently strive to disobey at least some rules, though he rarely goes too far and commits any serious crimes. He has a personal hatred towards authority, and fully believes in equality, and will go out of his way to make sure that people are treated equally and fairly. However, despite his hatred of it, he does see the uses in law and order, as well as having some authority. He is merely against the current level of authority and restriction in what he is able to do and not. Although rebellious, he is also quite relaxed and calm, with his rebellion usually coming out through the refusal to do things, rather than riots and the like. He is commonly found sleeping on the roofs of various buildings, a book or something similar in one hand, and alcohol in the other, probably with earphones blasting out some music. His lax personality can often get him into trouble, and he is often critiscised by the other members of the squad. He wasn't initially going to be accepted into the Justice force, due to his non-chalant personality holding him back a lot. He was viewed with disdain by many of the more senior members, and any examinations he had to do, whether physical or theory, he would often fail - not from lack of skill, but lack of effort. He does have a sense of justice though, and despises the Idea of innocent people being injured or hurt in anyway. He will go to any length to defend an innocent person, and when in a fight that concerns someones life, a rare moment when he becomes focussed and serious will occur. Though insanely patriotic towards his native country - England - and his heritage from it, he has an obsession towards Japan and the Japanese culture, speaking fluent Japanese alongside English and taking many cultural points from them. He is also incredibly proud of his minor connection to the Japanese, having his great-great-great grandparents as immigrants from Japan. He is also a musical fan, mostly towards the Rock, Metal, Punk end, and is almost never seen without headphones on, which are commonly playing music quite loud (Up to 11! \m/). He has attempted to learn many instruments, but is quite irritated by the fact he has only ever managed to learn very little on Guitar, and nothing else. BIOGRAPHY: Leon hasn't had a particularly extra-ordinary early life, nor has he any extremely noticable early childhood memories or happenings. He was raised in a small village-like area miles outside any main cities - close enough to drive, but far enough to escape the noise and pollution. He attended a perfectly ordinary, nice public school, where although he excelled, he was not exactly considered extremely above average. He was quite effective at most subjects, though he progressed most at Maths, Science, and PE. He wasn't immensely popular, and although he did have a few friends, most others were scared away due to the combination of rather pale skin, naturally dark hair and large bags, which gave him a spooky sort of feel. His parents were a happy couple, and although unmarried, they were content with their lives. It was a rather nice life for him. As he entered high school, he became much more noticable in his specialised subjects, though his grades began to drop in the others. He had become much of a procrastinator as he entered his teenage years, and had started to adopt the Punk/Mosher garments and culture. This drove away some people, but drew in others. His parents, although not openly against it, were slightly worried by this, and didn't like the fact he was drifting away from the law and order of society, and was failing in most of his school work. This hit its peak when he turned 16, and failed the majority of his GCSEs, ignoring them in favour of hanging out on the streets, smoking and drinking with his friends. He became, for the large part, an arse, and spent a large amount of his time vandalising things and ruining other's lives. He was occasionally caught by the police, although he managed to talk/fight his way out of it, although he never noticed the small increases of strength and speed he got at times like this. He eventually, before he turned 17, turned to drugs. And this led to a slow downward spiral. He was losing money fast, and owed a lot to Loan sharks, and was eventually kicked out by his parents, albeit reluctantly. He spent half a year struggling on the streets, turning to crime to get enough money to survive, and fuel his new found drug addiction. He was almost ready to give up when he heard devastating news, news that fueled his resolve, and drove him away from crime, drugs and the possibility of Villian status. His parents had been murdered. And it was his fault. His constant loans, that were unable to be paid, were collected in blood. And in one of that particular loan shark's sadistic moments, he decided to kill his family first. Which was, in all honesty, a mistake. Leon, now made aware of his filthy ways, started to hate himself. But more important, he hated others. Criminals. And was angry. Gaining new strength, he found and approached the Loan shark. And killed him. He could never remember exactly what happened - remember nothing but flashes of red and white - but when he came too, he was in pain, surrounded by bodies, with bones sticking out of his body. He ran, as you would, and ran for ages. Managing to gain a modicum of control over the power, he came to the city in the hopes of finding the Justice League he had heard much about, relying on them to be able to control this power. He was taken in by them, and trained to be able to cancel the power more effectively, before being given the option to join. He did so, and although he passed quite loosely, he was accepted into the league. After a years worth of training, he is able to control his power much more effectively, and has developed a much larger sense of Justice. He also harbours an intense anger and passion for vengeance, but is effective at hiding this under a layer of laziness and a non-chalant attitude.
It's no where near as good as Hydra's (But that's kinda impossible anyway), but I'll work on it. I'll tidy up the Personality and finish the Bio soon. Busy at the mo. Saiba Aisu
KC Nameless: It looks pretty good so far, I appreciate the changes you made to your powers. Of course, I'll have to wait until you post the biography before I can decide whether or not to accept him. Also, one last thing.. I'm not huge on costumes, but he seems to be lacking a particularly distinctive "look" (Robin had his mask, Raven her blue cloak, and Starfire her distinctive purple miniskirt outfit). It's fine either way, but I feel like aesthetically, this might present a problem for strangers, as he doesn't really look like a superhero. Hotaru: I can't really say, as I'm not sure what you're visualizing. I'll just have to wait until you post your application, I suppose. I guess I'll go ahead and post my own character, then.
USER NAME: Saiba Aisu NAME: Lucille Marceaux // Luxa // "Phantom Rose" AGE: 18 GENDER: Female APPEARANCE:

- HEIGHT: 5"7 - WEIGHT: 110 lbs. - FIGURE: Slender - HAIR COLOR: Pale blonde - HAIR STYLE: Luxa has wavy hair pulled tight into two long pigtails with straight bangs that sweep across her forehead to the left. - EYE COLOR: A dazzling dark blue color, tinged with flecks of silver. - COMPLEXION: Pale alabaster. Luxa's features are very feminine, incorporating prominent eyelashes and a notable beauty mark below her right eye, as well as rosebud lips that are always arranged in a faint, mysterious smile. - CLOTHING: Luxa's usual outfit consists of an elegant, form-fitting black corset which leaves her arms, shoulders, and upper chest completely bare, serving to cover only her breasts and midriff. In addition, she also wears a matching ruffled miniskirt, black leggings, and fashionable yet practical heeled boots. DIVISION / POSITION: Teen Titans North / New Member POWERS / ABILITIES: The bearer of a powerful and ancient family curse, Luxa possesses the unique ability to summon a variety of demonic plants from her body, most specifically her arms, shoulders, and upper back. Once manifested, they take the form of long, thorny appendages topped by a sightless, fanged demonic flower. Taking advantage of their flexibility, speed, and acute sensitivity to heat and movement, she then uses these monstrous flesh-eating apparitions to snare her opponents and rip them to shreds. At any given time, Luxa is only capable of controlling six demonic plants per summoning; were she to exceed this limit, it is highly likely that they would ignore her command completely, preying upon anyone within the immediate vicinity with impunity, turning on each other, or perhaps even attempting to devour her. For these reasons, Luxa is not one to use her powers lightly, as they could easily result in massive casualties and even her own death were she to lose control. Despite the frightening and inherently violent nature of her powers, however, they are not without weaknesses. First and foremost is the fact that while Luxa can command her demonic plants to attack and defend as needed, she herself is only capable of small, slow movements while they are in effect, making her poorly suited to deal with long-distance or projectile-based enemies whose range exceeds her own. Moreover, despite the fact that they possess supernatural speed and resilience, her demonic plants are not invulnerable; on the contrary, if one is destroyed or severed from her main body, it immediately withers and transforms to ash. Furthermore, the loss is permanent, as Luxa is unable to invoke more than six demonic plants per summoning. Finally, while each of the demonic plants possesses a rudimentary brain capable of sensing prey, they are not capable of sophisticated strategy, meaning that she is responsible for controlling their finer movements; if Luxa's concentration is broken or she becomes emotionally upset, the ability of the plants to work in coordination with each other is likewise inhibited. STANDARD EQUIPMENT: As Luxa does not require any materials to invoke her powers, she carries no form of tools or conventional weaponry. She has, however, accumulated a respectable collection of ancient texts, particularly those that focus upon sorcery, demonology, and history, which she actively peruses whenever possible. PERSONALITY: Remarkably cold and detached, Luxa does everything she can to distance herself from others and avoid displays of sentimentality. Although she is an effective strategist and insightful analyst, she very rarely shares her observations and opinions with others, preferring to keep them to herself unless absolutely necessary. Due to the horrors of her youth and the difficulties of her adolescence, she has developed an extremely cynical personality, placing little faith in anyone besides herself. Although she fears using her powers, she shows little remorse when unleashing them upon evil-doers. While her unfriendly demeanor and occasionally sarcastic attitude can be misconstrued as vanity and self-centeredness, the true reason that Luxa strives to avoid others is her constant, all-consuming fear that she will be inadvertently responsible for someone's death. BIOGRAPHY: The financial fortunes of the Marceaux family were firmly established during France's post-medieval period, more than 500 years ago. Specializing in industrialization and construction, the Marceaux were credited with the extensive deforestation of the heavily wooded area surrounding Marseilles, providing sorely needed space for urbanization, which they taxed heavily to great profit. However, when the family's patriarch set his sights upon the heart of the forest bordering the seaside city—an ancient wood that had served as a mystical site of pagan worship in the past—he was surprised to receive an unexpected visitor in the middle of the night: a tall, hooded woman with violet eyes who had bypassed the gates and guards of his compound as if she had appeared from thin air. Disregarding the man's protests and questions, the woman proceeded to lecture him upon the religious importance of the ancient forest that he was planning to tear down, citing a series of bizarre historical examples that seemed to ring of the occult. Initially bemused, the patriarch attempted to reason with the woman, explaining the demand for construction space and natural resources in an attempt to justify his actions. As she became increasingly aggressive and belligerent, however, he decided to evict the crazed trespasser with the assistance of his wife, whom he called upon desperately. Realizing that the patriarch was determined to destroy the forest in spite of her warnings, the hooded woman then turned to his wife and attempted to convince her, claiming that they were sisters bound by the ancient religion to uphold the laws of the natural world. And when the patriarch's wife also dismissed her, the hooded woman rose to her full height and began to speak in a low and terrible voice. Calling upon the ancient gods of the forest, the sorceress pointed at the man's wife and cast a powerful curse to punish her treachery, one that would condemn her female descendants to a wretched existence as a miserable monster. And when the couple called upon the forces of heaven to banish the sorceress, she merely laughed and added that until the curse was lifted, all of those afflicted by its magic would suffer in hell after death. And so saying, she stepped away from the horrified couple and disappeared into the night. Soon afterward, the couple gave birth to a baby boy, much to the relief of his parents, who had the child blessed and baptized upon the same day that they ordered the destruction of the ancient wood. In due time, the patriarch and his wife died, and the son began a family of his own, unaware of the powerful curse in effect. For the next several generations, the curse was carried in latent form by males and bestowed unknowingly upon females, who would suffer no ill effects until 16—the age at which they became women. While most of these women chose to commit suicide rather than live as a monster, even those who attempted to control their powers only managed to live until 32—the age of the patriarch's wife when she encountered the sorceress—before they were devoured by the demonic plants invoked by the curse. In this manner, the curse endured until the present day, when it was inherited by Luxa, born into a wealthy Parisian family as an only child, Lucille Marceaux. Throughout her early childhood, Lucille led a comparatively happy existence, although she was often distressed by her parents' arguments and her father's violent temper. When she was 12 and her mother 32, her father returned from work in an ill mood and began to beat his wife. Before Lucille could intervene, her mother succumbed to her rage and the curse activated, summoning a dozen demon plants which quickly devoured her father but seemed to ignore the young girl. Smiling serenely at her daughter, Lucille's mother managed to say, "Never summon more than six at a time, darling," before the plants consumed her. Severely traumatized by these events, Lucille lived in a state of constant fear, terrified by the idea of transforming into a monster. When she turned 16 and her powers began to manifest themselves, she ran away from home and shortened her name to Luxa. Over the next year she drifted across France, suppressing her powers (with a few relapses) and tracing her family's travels across the country in an attempt to research the curse. Eventually, her antics captured the attention of the Justice League, who took her in, helped her establish a modicum of control, and gave her the name "Phantom Rose." Now a member of the Teen Titans North, Luxa continues to struggle against herself, terrified of losing control, but determined to break the curse.
Hotaru987
USER NAME: Hotaru987 NAME: Milani Krovski AGE: 18 GENDER: Female APPEARANCE: - HEIGHT: 5’4 - WEIGHT: 145 - FIGURE: Athletic - HAIR COLOR: Short black hair, that has the tendency to stick up in random places when wet. On her right side there is a lock of red dyed hair, and on her left side is a lock of green dyed hair. - HAIR STYLE: Bob cut, with the right side slightly longer, tucking gently under the chin. Her bangs are very short, barely gazing the top of her eyebrows. - EYE COLOR: Green eyes, though her right eyes is slightly faded. Her right eye has a scar over it, though it’s hardly seen since she wears an eye patch. - COMPLEXION: A light tan, giving her a honey like complexion. On her right arm she has burn scars which travel the entire length of her arm. - CLOTHING: Milani’s outfit is overall very simple. Her top consists of a white spagettie strapped t-shirt and a sports bra over it; the color varies every day. This shows off a bit of her toned mid-drift, but only just up to her bellybutton. She then throws a black hoodie on over it, and some blue fingerless gloves, completing her upper body clothing. Her bottom half is covered by either denim jeans, or camouflaged cargo pants, but no matter what pants she wearing, she is always wearing her military, lace up, boots that up to about mid-calf; usually her pants are tucked into the boots. Other added accessories include the eye patch covering her right eye, which she is always seen wearing. Not because she is ashamed of it, but because she got tired of people always staring. Her EX-Watch, located on her left wrist so that she can see it better, and there is a police force arm band on her right arm just to show support for her father who is still in the force. DIVISION / POSITION: Teen Titans North / New Member POWERS / ABILITIES: Milani uses her mastery of martial arts, and weapons to take down her enemies. She’s skilled in 5 different martial arts, and knows how to use 5 different styles of weapons, and is always training to learn new moves and practicing with new weapons. Needless to say, she’s limber, quick and an all-around balanced fighter. In order to compensate for her lack of special abilities she utilizes the advance technology that is available. Milani had took it upon herself to study the fighting techniques of Robin and Batman, seeing them as her role models for ability deprived, yet very strong, super heroes. Unlike her role models, she does have one super ability, and she has called is Fighting Spirit It’s a self-enhancer ability that super charges her body for a minimum of 5 minutes and a max of 10 minutes, increasing her stamina, senses, speed and overall strength. However, in order to activate this ability the situation has to be extremely dire, and she has to be physically tired to the point where she can’t fight anymore before it kicks in. It can also be activated under times of extended periods of stress (thought only during fighting stress and not normal everyday stress). It’s not something that she controls herself as it is only activated once all the conditions have been met. STANDARD EQUIPMENT: Milani’s only equipment is a very hi-tech watch that has multiple uses. Due to the technology of their time, she has managed to obtain an ExcelS3 Hologram Watch. A very advance watch that is voice memory activated. When activated the screen of the watch is projected in a green hologram that can be used as a GPS system, computer and a lot more. The EX-Watch, is also her weapon holder; which is used by scanning the weapon in question in order to copy it into her EX-Watch database, and then she has to manually put in the stats of the weapon. Then later, by a few voice commands, she can pull up the hologram of her weapon which is then materialized into the actual weapon. PERSONALITY: One thing that is painfully obvious about Milani is that she is simple minded, blunt and doesn’t catch on too facial ques or emotional tensions very quickly. She’s the one who would throw a fist first and then talk later, not because all she thinks about is violence, it’s just she feels that someone can understand another by the exchange of fist. Though she’s not naturally good and figuring people out, she is excellent at gauging a person’s fighting ability and seems to understand someone better once their fists connects. Milani is very protective of her friends, and would just as easily get in a fight in order to defend them; however she also isn’t one to blindly believe everything they say. If her friends are wrong then she will make sure that they do the right thing. Her sense of justice is strong, and she has little patience for evil villains. Having said that, Milani can be surprisingly understanding to another person’s circumstance that made them the way they were, but she still won’t excuse their present actions. A firm believer of the punishment fitting the crime, and is absolutely against the death penalty as she stills holds the naïve thought that even the evilest person has some type of goodness in them. Milani hates backing down from fights, and sees every obstacle that is presented to her as a challenge that she must overcome in order to become stronger and protect those who need it. Exceedingly determined, though there are times when she doesn’t know when to quit. During those times she usually causes more harm than she does good even though her intentions are such. She is also a very avid eater, which she does so with gusto and there isn’t much that she doesn’t scarf into her seemingly bottomless gut. When it comes to her friends, Milani will be helpful and try to get them to interact even if they don’t want too; which is in relation of her terrible knack of not reading a person’s facial emotions. So someone would have to tell her out right what they want, in which case Milani would respect their decision and leave them alone…For now. She just likes to make sure that everyone is getting along and no one feels left out, and while her intentions are usually good they sometimes have the adverse effect. BIOGRAPHY: Milani’s earliest memory is when she was 4 years old and of her father, who was a local police officer, buying her a plastic sheriff’s badge and she went around the house taking down imaginary bad people. She doesn’t have any memories of her mother due to her premature death in a car accident in which Milani miraculously survived when she was only a few months old. Even though she didn’t have her mother, it didn’t bother her and she was very happy living with her father, whos sense of justice seemed to have rubbed off on Milani who would always say that she wanted to be a police officer like he was. In order to prepare for her future career Milani took an instant liking to martial arts at the tender age of 5 starting with Taekwondo, and quickly learning that becoming a black belt when she turned 8 years old. After Taekwondo she continued furthering her martial art knowledge with; Judo, Hapkido, boxing and tai chi – though the last one was learned because her father thought it would be good for her. Now it wasn’t strange to hear about the Justice league and the Teen Titan group that went around taking down the harder criminals. The ones who had other worldly powers, and couldn’t be brought down by the police alone. Milani could only dream that she would be a part of something like that, but she knew she shouldn’t get her hopes up. It would be a miracle for her to be a part their team. She didn’t even have any abilities like the others did. Her world changed one day, when she came home from school. Her father wasn’t home, like usual, and before she went in the house she noticed that the front window was broken into. At first she was scared because that meant someone was in the house, but then she thought this was her chance to be a hero like her father and capture the bad guy. Now earlier that week a few criminals had escaped from jail, and the one that had broken into her house was trying to get back at her father so what he did was plant a triggered bomb at the front door. So when Milani opened the front door the bomb went off, firing door fragments, fire and smoke everywhere. Luckily Milani got to the hospital quickly enough, but nothing could save her right eye which had been impaled by metal causing severe blindness. Her right eye was then limited too seeing only blurry shadows of movement but that’s it. Milani also suffered burns on her entire right arm which was the arm she used to open the door with. After that she thought of giving up her dream, but her father encouraged her to stick with it. Having a blind right eye wasn’t a bad thing, all she had to do was adapt, and that’s what she did. Milani practiced all of her martial arts training, getting herself used to the limitation of one eye, and hyper-sensitizing herself to movement on her right side, though it was easier said than done since she had too – in a sense – re-master all of her techniques. While dabbling in martial arts she also picked up weapon mastery such as with a; Bo-staff, sword, knumchucks, small knives (daggers, pocket knives, sais, etc), and throwing weapons (throwing stars, disks, darts, etc). By the time she was 15 years old she had highly refined skills in every one of those aspects, and even now at her age of 19 she is still learning more to add to her bag of skills.
I feel like an amateur with all these other good apps. Ok, I know you said the watch was a no-go, but I figured I'd let you read the entire app so you could see exactly what I was getting at. If you still say the watch is a no, then I will of course edit. ^^
Saiba Aisu
I don't know why you were so worried, Milani is actually a pretty cool and well-developed character in a lot of ways. However, my main thing is that she seems to be all over the place in terms of abilities. On one hand, we're supposed to believe that she's a master martial artist, and that's fine. She doesn't have any overt supernatural powers, yet she's also somehow got this unusual ability to inexplicably increase her strength when the going gets rough? It just seems a bit jarring to me, in some ways. Then there's the issue of the watch, which I still feel is just not really worth the trouble. For starters, it's the perfect weapon, as it can copy any other weapon; it stretches the definitions of economics, military warfare, and politics past the boundaries. Apart from being unbalanced, it doesn't seem particularly inventive; merely a way to adjust to situations by copying the foe rather than outmaneuvering them. The most redeeming part of the application that really drew me in (apart from her well-developed biography, personality, and appearance) was the fact that she is partially blind and has increased senses. I think if you abandoned the watch entirely and focused on this aspect, Milani would be a lot cooler. For example, I am thinking along the lines of a fully- or almost completely- blind character (that eyepatch is a nice touch!) who nevertheless can fight as well as if she had two eyes due to her incredible senses (you could even make them somehow supernatural and aura-sensing, if you wanted). If you're interested, I'm visualizing a character along these lines (Sara or Neideen). Again, the watch just seems a bit random, so for the time being, Not Accepted. However, I feel if you rework her skills, Milani will make a great addition to the Teen Titans.
ListenToLife
I wont be able to post until monday - going away to visit my grandad - and will be unable to finish my app until then. The characters all seem amazing so I cant wait to get going with this, but It'll be delayed a bit. As for the appearence, I was going for the dark, vigilante like assasin look(Like Blade or something), but if you want me to make it more Identifiable, I'll add some thing(s) when I get back. Saiba Aisu
Sure thing, KC Nameless. Be aware, however, that we might be starting sometime around Monday as well, and your character has yet to be accepted. Also, I noticed that you posted in some other RP Threads (I didn't see what, exactly). I'm not doubting your ability to participate in multiple RPs at once, just letting you know that once we get started, we'll be moving at a fairly fast pace. Enjoy your travels, have a safe trip! Aesirson
This looks very interesting, and while I won't be able to post an app until tonight I would like to at least express my interest in joining!
Hotaru987
Ok, I think I'm going to take up your advice. So she's not going to have any ability other than her enhanced senses(etc), but I was wondering if it would be ok to have her increased senses(in the future) further evolve into echolocation. Whether you allow me to do that or not, doesn't effect my app, but I thought I'd ask. Also, are you saying that I should lessen the amount of martial arts and weapons she can use? Or is it fine to keep it in there?

Her top consists of a white spaghetti strapped t-shirt and a sports bra over it; the color varies every day. Finally, there is a police force arm band on her right arm just to show support for her father who is still in the force. Due to her disability, Milani senses has increased in order to compensate for her lack of vision in her right eye. Though one would expect her to not have accurate depth perception, Milani has proven that she has excellent accuracy capabilities, which is credited to her enhanced senses which includes; Enhanced hearing, her sense of balance, sense of self/world awareness, and quick reflexes. Though it's not developed enough to cause much of a difference in a fight, Milani's sense of smell has also increased as well. All of these are within human capabilities, so while she can pick up quieter sounds than normal people, in loud environments it’s harder to pinpoint a sound though she can manage it if she concentrates hard enough. Her hearing radius is about 30 ft., in which she could hear a fly. Her sense of balance is in conjunction with her heightened sense of self awareness, and reflexes. Milani is always mind-conscious of her kinetic movements, and as such her reflexes come to her as second nature. Milani has shown that she can walk along an inch wide platform without having to think about it. She is also conscious of the people and things around her, more so than most, due to her need to be prepared because of her blind spot; so much so that she would get a tingling sensation at the back of her neck whenever someone is coming in on her blind side. There are times when Milina will close her remaining eye, in which here senses increase more, and she becomes more of an instinctual fighter. STANDARD EQUIPMENT: Milani’s equipment consists of two items. The first item is her bo-staff which is her primary weapon in combat. It’s usually found, strapped to her back. It’s made of strong, yet light weight titanium, and a few other elements in it to give it added density and weight power. Even so, it’s light enough for Milani to use it effectively in combat. Her second item are a few throwing disk which she usually keeps on her person. There is a small button on the center of the disk which, when pressed, causes small metal blades to come out around the edges allowing for more speed and damage.
Ok here's my second attempt. The only thing I changed was the equipment and her abilities. Here's for fingers crossed I suppose
Ren✧
Superhero RP? I'm there!
Username: Renegade (Ren is fine as well) Name: Kowen Helms Age: 16 Gender: Male Appearance: Height: 5’8” Weight: 126lbs Figure: Athletic Hair Color: Bright blonde (nearly yellow) Hair Style: Kowen’s hair is thick and curly. Every morning he tries to contain it, but it is a lost cause. Eye Color: Blue, tinged with flecks of green. Complexion: Kowen is Caucasian, but is very tan due to living in California for most of his younger life. Clothing: When not involved in combat, Kowen wears a sleeveless shirt (usually a dark blue or black) to show off his fairly muscular arms. To accentuate his love of the water, Kowen is usually found wearing a pair of vibrant swim trunks. These trunks usually have some form of fire graphics or sharks on them. He also wears open toed sandals, usually flip flops. During battle, Kowen changes to a tight-fitting combat suit. This combat suit is made of the same material as bullet-proof vests as well as padded to protect Kowen’s vital arteries/organs from knives and other bladed weapons. This padding is not ideal and a powerful thrust from a sword or stab from a knife will more than likely reach his skin. This combat suit is very breathable and water resistant. The combat suit has a function that changes its color from a dark green, dusty white, and a ‘normal’ garb setting that lets Kowen blend in around a busy city. While in his combat suit, Kowen usually wears a pair of combat boots. The one thing that can be found on Kowen at all times is his silver necklace. Hanging from this otherwise plain necklace, is a golden ring. The ring used to belong to his departed father. Division/Position: Teen Titans North/New Member Powers/Abilities: Kowen has the ability to take on animal-like characteristics. He is not able to completely transform into the animal of his choosing but he is able to take a certain body part and replace it with the corresponding body part of the selected animal. For example, Kowen would be able to replace his eye with that of a hawk to increase his visual perception or transform his harmless, close-cropped fingernails into the claws of a vicious tiger. After some experimentation, Kowen has determined that it is not wise for him to take on more than 2 transformations at a time. Doing this often leads to unwanted transformations, such as the tongue of a newt, which can be very dangerous if involved in battle. As of now, Kowen has not been able to adopt the transformation of wings, but in anticipation of being able to fly Kowen practices this transformation every chance he gets. Kowen is also able to communicate to wildlife. The way he communicates with the wildlife transcends that of talking or even telepathy. He can sense the mood of animals around him, feel their desires; this form of communication is much more intimate than he would like to admit to others and often tries to hide this ability, even from his comrades. When he does use this power, animals bend to his will and will do anything he asks them too. Even without communicating to the animals, most have an immediate liking towards him. The only exception to this is territorial animals. Territorial animals, such as wolves or tigers, see him as a rival and Kowen must first show his dominance before they will obey his directions. Standard Equipment: Since Kowen is able to transform his body into natural weapons(meaning claws, fangs, etc.), Kowen does not like carry many weapons. Knowing that carrying no weapons would be foolish, Kowen usually carries a polished, redwood, staff strapped to his back. Personality: Kowen is a stereotypical, California surfer dude. He is very calm, or ‘chill’ as he would say, but when his blood does boil there is almost no stopping him. Kowen is a fun loving guy and does not put much thought into his action. He is of average intelligence, maybe slightly lower, and therefore would not make a good strategist. To make up for his lack of brains, Kowen does have a very good sense of right and wrong. He is not afraid of killing, but only if it is for the right reasons and there is no other option. Like most teenage guys, Kowen is infatuated with girls. He respects their space, but never hesitates to make a move if he sees an opening. He often hits on pretty girls. Being pretty good-looking, Kowen is pretty comfortable in this area of his life. Kowen while confident in everyday life, he is somewhat hesitant in crime fighting. As said above, he has a strong sense of right and wrong and does not like to hurt people. Of course this comes with the job, and as time goes on Kowen is getting more comfortable with the fact. It still bothers him though and during a particularly stressful day he is often quite irritable as he tries to come to terms with what he had to do. Usually, Kowen is a carefree, fun-loving guy but there come times where all the jokes and smiles are gone. He becomes deadly serious and focused on the task at hand. This is usually brought on by thoughts of his deceased parents and the life he left behind. This is a defense mechanism that he unconsciously uses to stop the emotional pain from rising within himself. Biography: Ever since he was a little boy Kowen had grown up by the ocean. Living off the coast of California opened up so many opportunities for him. Being the son of two acting megastars, you would think Kowen would be a spoiled brat. On the contrary, his parents did their best to keep him from turning out the way they had seen so many Hollywood celebrities. Of course, Kowen did lead a comfortable life. He always had enough food to eat and enough toys to play with. Around the age of 8, Kowen discovered his love of surfing. Since he was born he had been infatuated with the ocean, swimming and fishing. But surfing completed him, not to be cliché. He never surfed competitively, although he was good enough to compete, Kowen just thought surfing for fun was much better than surfing for a trophy. A few days after Kowen’s 16[sup]th[/sup] birthday, he and his parents got in a fight. Storming off, Kowen had grabbed his board and waded out into the ocean to clear his head. He did this whenever he was stressed or upset, the gentle lapping of the waves and the salty breeze usually put things in perspective for him. Twenty minutes of sitting on the water, and Kowen realized he was in the wrong. He began to paddle back to shore. He walked up the beach to his beach house, ready to apologize to his parents. Throwing open the screen day, Kowen was met with a grisly sight. His parents lay on the floor in puddles of their own blood. Their throats had been slashed. Kowen’s parents had been home during a home invasion and were killed for it. Not being able to absorb what he was seeing, Kowen stood there in the doorway. He stood there, tears silently streaming down his cheeks, for at least an hour. Then something snapped, he was no longer Kowen. He was a mindless beast with the desperate urge to escape. Having just got his license, Kowen took his parent’s car and drove. He didn’t know where he was going, but he knew he would know when he got there. That very night, anger, regret, and denial all washed over him and took over his very being. Sitting in a motel bedroom, Kowen began to transform. It wasn’t much, but it took his mind off of the wave of emotions that had engulfed him. After a few weeks of traveling, and practicing, he heard of the Teen Titans and he knew he had found his calling. Kowen looked towards it like it was a beacon of light, like it was a new home.
I fear it(meaning my app) looks a bit childish compared to all these experienced RPers, but hopefully it isn't too bad. EDIT: App edited. Goes into a bit more detail about everything. The Amazing Avian
Looks interesting, but Hotaru beat me to the badass normal character.
USER NAME: Lujan Solo NAME: Juan Garcia AGE: 19 GENDER: Male APPEARANCE: - HEIGHT: 5'8" - WEIGHT: 130 lbs - FIGURE: Athletic - HAIR COLOR: Dark brown - HAIR STYLE: An unkempt mess that varies from day to day, usually whatever he wakes up with. - EYE COLOR: Brown - COMPLEXION: An average tan - CLOTHING: Wears assorted shirts, jeans, sneakers and a black leather jacket (which was given to him by an unruly biker.) Has had the jacket worked on to have orange trim. Has a pair of black fingerless gloves which he puts on when about to fight. DIVISION / POSITION: Teen Titans North/New Member POWERS / ABILITIES: High degree of psychokinesis. His mental strength allows him to lift up to several tons depending on how much he can focus. He can create solid kinetic platforms that can be used as transportation and by the same token, can create force fields that can take a good beating before breaking. The force fields can either engulf or push objects away as they expand, and has a weak subconscious kinetic field around his body at all times, allowing him to take more punishment that the average person, but does it not make him invulnerable. STANDARD EQUIPMENT: Marbles, spare change, erasers, smalls rocks, any other small object he can use as an improvised projectile with his telekinesis. PERSONALITY: Though smart, he is reckless. He's the kind of person you'd expect to assert dominance over others, but instead is more submissive. Hes probably one of the least aggressive people one would ever meet, but he has been known to go into a blind fury when his books are borrowed without permission, reorganized, or used for anything other than their intended purpose. He is a generally nice guy who is willing to do almost anything for friends, but his common sense often conflicts with possible actions he takes. In battle, charges headfirst and then tries to find a way to counter his enemy's attacks, but e only starts to analyze after he has taken somewhat of a beating. When bored, likes to sing to himself. BIOGRAPHY: As a child, it was shown that his brain activity far surpassed most adult humans, a fact that his mother had kept from his football crazed father. As soon as he became 8, which was the minimum age for a local youth football program, his father signed him up. He however didn't enjoy sports in general, preferring to spend his spare time reading than watching football and practicing like his father wanted. During his middle school years, he began to notice peculiar things like being able to control his dreams on a whim, being able to hear a person's thoughts, and the strangest of which was how sometimes when reading, pages would flip on their own when he thought about it. Finally, during an argument with his father about him quitting football during his freshman year in high school, his powers took over and he slammed his dad into a wall with a thought. After that, he remained distant from most of his family, focusing on strengthening his psychic abilities. After graduation, he left home, seeking to strengthen his mind, he searched for the Teen Titans, who he felt he could contribute to while improving his abilities. During his travels, was mugged by a biker who generously gave him his jacket after being juggled for a few seconds with psychokinesis.
Aesirson
USER NAME: Aesirson NAME: Carolus Woden AGE: 20 GENDER: Male APPEARANCE: - HEIGHT: 6"2 - WEIGHT: 164 lbs. - FIGURE: His upper body is slim, while the lower part is less trained due to his crippled status - HAIR COLOR: Black with some fades of green - HAIR STYLE: Short and curly. Nothing too special - EYE COLOR: Dark purple - COMPLEXION: Caucasian, but pale - CLOTHING: Carolus wears a dark, green coat resembling those worn by military during cold campaigns, and the same goes for his pants. He also wears a pair of black boots, also military in nature. The lower part of his face (nose and mouth) is usually covered by a grey bandana. On his left shoulder sits a special shoulderpad, made so that his bird can easily have a place to sit. DIVISION / POSITION: Teen Titans North / New Member POWERS / ABILITIES: Carolus possess a few magical abilities, namely energy projection and a close-mid range spell that cripples the foe, slowing it down. While Carolus would do fine on his own with only these abilities, his true power lies in the bird that is always by his side. The bird is hen-sized, carries a green plumage, has an elegant figure and the distinctive feature of possessing six eyes, giving it a demonic, yet graceful, appearance. Carolus is able to share the senses of the bird, seeing through its eyes, hearing with its ears etc. The only sense Carolus is not able to disconnect is the sense of feel, which also makes the bird his greatest weakness. Another weakness is that when fusing his sight with the bird's his corporeal body is blind, although fusing his hearing doesn't cause his human body to lose it. The bird obeys Carolus' every command (he is able to command it telepathically) and is able to cast the same spells as Carolus, although its magical abilities are stronger. The bird is also significantly stronger than a normal bird its size, and is even able to lift small humans (Carolus is too large, though) In dire situations, Carolus is even able to fuse his soul with the bird's transforming him into a nine feet tall bird-human hybrid. While in this form, except for greatly enhancing his magical abilities, Carolus is surrounded by a flock of green, raven-like creatures that obey his will, helping him in battle. The form does also grant him immense physical strength, allowing him to walk and lift great weights. While he has wings in this form, he lacks the ability to fly (although gliding would be possible) STANDARD EQUIPMENT: Carolus carries no special equipment, except for a wheelchair and a walking stick PERSONALITY: Carolus is your typical grumpy elder archetype in personality, even if he is not older than 20. He is usually quiet and calm, but honest and harsh when asked about anything. He is not good with socialising, but what does it matter as he prefers to be alone (except for his feathered companion) Nevertheless, he is a tactical genius and a man of justice, guiding the Titans towards victories with his intellect instead of raw strength. When he is forced to be social, he is usually polite but quiet. He enjoys classical music and is not a fan of modern pop and rock, as he thinks that it doesn't express the calming nature that music was meant to be for. BIOGRAPHY: Carolus was born to a poor, lonely mother in the cold, northern European state of Sweden, where he lived a life on the streets. His mother died when Carolus was still very young, and he was forced to live for himself on the streets, suffering from intense hunger and cold. Due to this, he was crippled, and one of his legs are almost completely unusable. This has forced him to live his entire life in a wheelchair or leaning towards a walking stick, but he has learned to live with it. He lived his early teenage years at an orphanage, but one day he started getting visions of himself flying across the landscapes, and also feeling things that he was not familiar with. The visions and feelings grew stronger for every day, and one day he found himself accompanied by a bird unlike any species known to humanity. He immediately felt a connection to the creature, and took it as his partner. He soon realised the powers the bird possessed, and started using it for his own sake, stealing food and other necessities to survive once he was thrown out of the orphanage because he had grown too old. The Justice League, however, realised his powers and took him under their wings, sending him to Aurora City as a member of the Teen Titans North.
I'll be happy to change anything within this app to fit the standards. Saiba Aisu
Grr I still haven't managed to decide, I might need some help on this one. However, I did take the opportunity to change my character, as I felt my first choice was properly developed and fairly uncreative. Hopefully you guys will like Luxa better! Be warned though, it's a pretty length piece of writing if you're going to read it..

Love of Ghibli
I would simple be angry at myself if I didn't at least attempt to get in lol If I do not make the cut that is okay I will still continue to read the RP like I would any fanfic something this well thought out must be read.
USER NAME: Beginning446 NAME: Maxwell Drake aka "Folds" AGE: 20 GENDER: Male APPEARANCE: - HEIGHT: 5'11 or 71cm - WEIGHT: 210 lbs - FIGURE: Overweight (not obese but a diet would be nice - HAIR COLOR: Black - HAIR STYLE: Maxwell has a bald fade that is kept real low to appeal as a moderate as possible. - EYE COLOR: Black - COMPLEXION: Brown skin - CLOTHING: Maxwell fashions himself a polo wearing man and dawns himself with slacks. Since wearing a pair of dress shoes would be impractical for combat he often wears speries since their leather soles provide comfort. DIVISION / POSITION: Teen Titans North / New Member POWERS / ABILITIES: Kinetic Origami: Whenever Maxwell cuts an object it is marked with lines giving it the illusion of graphing paper. Maxwell can then fold that object into another shape like origami but the object still retains its original substance. For example if Maxwell were to slash a steel wall he can then mark that wall and fold that wall into a paper crane. That paper crane is still considered to be made of steel and is a dense as the wall was. If Maxwell were to come across a now flat object to cut then he can flatten the object till it is foldable. Maxwell can also control the things cuts and folds but only after they have been folded. Continuing with the example Maxwell now has control over the flying paper crane and can use it to attack enemies. Maxwell is not strong enough to mark large spaces and fold them. In fact Maxwell's mark currently expands to a 5 by 8 in area. This ability is compensated by a layering effect for his ability. If Maxwell makes a slash in something dense he can shave layers off of that object like sheets of paper. For example if Maxwell was able to scratch the wall then for every 1 cm deep his slash was that is how many 5 by 8 pieces of "paper" he will be able gain from that one scratch. If the cut was 5 cm deep then he would be able to make 5 sheets of steel paper and fold that paper into 5 steel cranes and be able to use those cranes to attack his enemies. The only exception to this limitation is if Maxwell were to complete cut through an entire object then that object is completely marked with the grid paper and any number of sheets of any size can be made and folded into Maxwell's choosing. STANDARD EQUIPMENT: Maxwell wields a saber that is 3 feet long and is used in conjunction with his ability. He also wears a pair of glasses that are made with transition lenses that help him see because is legally blind without them. PERSONALITY: Maxwell is very regal and proper. Though he tries hard to please everyone and is a diligent worker it seems as he is just not the life of the party. It is hard for him to join conversations because he is not well versed in popular culture and nor does he have any concept of what the latest fashion. He is an old soul who is partially stuck in the 1940's and 50's with his style of dress. If wearing a full suit were not impractical for combat he would surely be wearing one. He often withholds his opinions unless asked, but that does make him useful for solo missions because he is very intelligent it is just missions as team he would most likely yield to whoever spoke loudest not because he is a follower just because no need for confrontation. Maxwell tries to always speak with correct grammar with short and concise points and very seldom does he speak with contractions. BIOGRAPHY: Maxwell drake grew up in what would seem to be normal circumstances when compared to the other heroes, but the only difference is that Maxwell did not grow up in a family that assimilated to the futuristic methods of the Era they currently live in. Maxwell was taught to the art of saber fencing as a way to defend himself, which was increasingly odd to Maxwell because most times when people attack you they probably have a gun. One day Maxwell learned of his family’s legacy as pride swordsmen back in the homeland of Ghana. Since it would look suspicious if Maxwell started to carry around a machete in these futuristic times Maxwell was taught the art of fencing because it would be easier to explain a cane (though a 20 year-old with a cane is still something the family had to explain). On the day Maxwell learned of his heritage his father bestowed upon a saber made of a precious metal upon grabbing the saber Maxwell had felt his mental power grow almost as if he had tapped into another part of his mind. Unfortunately Maxwell was not good at telekinesis as most people defined it, he could lift cars with his mind or make things explode, but he was able to bend spoons to a reasonable degree. It was by a sheer coincidence that Maxwell watched a great documentary, Between the Folds, which highlighted the wonders of Origami and all of the shapes you can make with but a single sort of paper. Fortunately for Maxwell he was practicing fencing at the time with his new saber and accidentally made a gash in the floor. He was going to say something but then he got captivated by the documentary. People in the documentary had made Golems, Paintings, and even dragons just by repeatedly folding one sheet of paper. The intense math and grid structure intrigued him so that he had almost lost himself to the movie. By the time the documentary was over Maxwell remembered his gash and he saw that the floor had a square plot in it and it was surrounded by many different origami figures. Maxwell picked up a figure and he could feel the matted texture. After staring at the pieces long enough Maxwell was able to move them. Elation ensued. Maxwell told his parents of this historic news and though he thought it would be a great trick, his parents saw the potential in being in being able to save the world. In a time where the descendants of madness had reign supreme everyone could use more heroes.

Kōsuke Ueki
Well, what I'm trying to focus on for the moment is what my powers will be in particular. I already know my base for the powers: Arcane magic. And I know what would be used: the elements of fire, light, and darkness. But as of now, that's about it. There's nothing really much about it. I'd like to help further advance it, but how far will depend on how well you help me out Renegade.
---------------
I think I'm not going to join. At least not yet. I'm gunna wait until you accept antiheroes because I have an awesome one in mind, albeit he is a young version of a DC antihero.
Saiba Aisu
Atman: If you read the application, you'll see that characters can have no / very little relationship with any canon DC Comics characters. So be very careful how you spin it.. Also, there is no guarantee that I will be accepting villains or antiheroes, as I am still the only available GM and it's already a heavy workload.
