Is it bad that I don't mind tense changes? I mean, as long as the story is narrating the same setting, it's a lot easier to blur your eyes to it. Same with flashbacks. The thing to keep in mind is to make the time transitions obvious. Lack thereof is where inconsistent tenses would be mentally confusing.

Has anyone ever seen "47 Ronin" yet?

Well I'd like to make sure everything is in the proper tense, but there will always be mistakes. As for flashbacks I don't think I've used many that can't be identified without much difficulty. Like Fusion did before me everything that's a flashback would be done in complete italics.

I heard that movie wasn't so good, but I haven't watched it. I did see Hunger Games: Catching Fire and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty on New Years Eve.

Well it was basically the most famous Japanese story ever told, just with a bit of fantasy added in and a love plot. To be honest I didn't realize I had already heard this story until they explained that the 47 ronin had to wait a year before they were able to exact their revenge. At that point I basically slapped myself and went, "Wow I know this story already!"

I also watched "The Legend of Hercules" in 3D last night with my cousin for her birthday. To be honest the more I think about it the less I like the movie. If they wanted to give Hercules a heroic love story then they might as well done Oedipus and be done with it. If you're going to do Hercules and have it adult-oriented then why not do the actual tragic story of Hercules?

I went to see Catching Fire on Monday after realizing we had a holiday. I basically drove 20 miles only to turn right back around, and on the way back I decided to drop by the theater. I was expecting the Hobbit to have more than one playtime, but I only found CF to be the soonest one that caught my interest... and by soon, I meant an hour and a half, which I misread as a half hour and ended up sitting in the theater for the former.

I intend to see Desolation of Smaug as soon as I can catch a break and save $20.

The last movie I saw was Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2. It had the charm of the first movie, but nowhere near enough of the intelligence. The movie didn't NEED a bad guy, or, at least one who was downright through and through evil.

I was offered to go see Anchorman 2, but I turned it down; since I knew it was going to be terrible; and not even my love of crap was going to let me enjoy it.
