You probably shouldn't quote somebody you know nothing about.

Maybe, but it was a good quote and it fit. I've actually corrected it after I was told I had it spelled wrong. The only thing I was/am getting upset about is the fact I was expected to know how it was spelled when I did not know how it was supposed to be spelled.

But I want to get past this because it's just going to keep going in circles and I'd rather not get a Mod in here.

Shadow, you haven't given your two cents in the Hotel-exclusive prologue.

Due to being a self-centered asshole I typically just glance through looking for some mention of Nobuo or whatever name it may have been changed to that doesn't sorta suck and when I don't see it I don't bother to read it. You know, 'cuz self-centeredness.

*faceplant*

Dude you need to change your name back. I hate to admit I just now realized this is DF and NOT Shadow.

But you're right that your character's name is still Nobou, though he won't be showing up for some time.

Tuo gave me points to change it like two weeks ago and I still haven't thought of or really bothered to think of a good name.

Dude, just change it to something you've already done. Combine your first name with this name.

But Nobuo is literally the best worst character.

I don't understand that but . . . okay?

I know you don't get the joke but that's still a really bad idea.

He always loses and has no real personality or development but is still ironically very high tiered in character strength even at the young age of 16 (or at least I assume that's the age he was at as I was about 15 or 16 then) even though the group around him was fairly rag tag and as a character really has a lot of potential to be developed more.

I always assumed that Nobou had a lot of innate talent while the others actually had to train very hard to get where they were. As for the rest I believe you're right.

Nobuo did have some potential.

A lot of characters in DEF HAD potential.

Fuse just decided to go far beyond his ability and introduce far too many characters.

Which he has constantly said he regrets. Though I have to admit, since I began writing this I've come to understand how truly difficult it is to try and keep track of so many characters. I actually had to create a completely separate document just to have a list of where everyone is so I don't end up having someone in two places at once.

And your username scared me since it's the same last name one of my friends has.

Oh, of course. For example, the entire Status side plot dropped a few names of interest but altogether was sort of pointless since it didn't really do much with those characters or have anything to do really do with the main plot. It just showed that a bunch of people can suddenly become crazy or whatever his reasoning was to it existing. Nobuo does do some minor stuff later on in a bonus story and the cameo was pretty good but that hardly excuses it. I believe he's mentioned removing that side plot if he were to ever remake DEF but he'd definitely cut out a lot of the YCMember cameos. But I was pretending to overhype my character here so shhh...

Yeah, when you're 16 and taking on a mod (albeit, one of the weaker ones I believe) you gotta have some sorta serious talent. Not to mention his losses could possibly stem from a lack of experience if you choose to interpret it that way which could help further the argument that Nobuo's skill stems more from natural talent than having actually trained. But then you remember he blocked Chris' hammer (or maybe just a punch) with his abs and think, "Mmmmgh...maybe...just maybe."

As for the rest I believe you're right.

*Shrugs.* Yeah, probably.

In my mind only a select few had pure unadulterated talent while the the majority had to actually work at it. For instance a good comparison would have to be Albert Roxas and Draco Flame. Albert had to work at his battle-skills but Draco didn't have too, Draco had the pure talent which allowed him to rise to the top 3 Mods.

Ninjew also had pure talent, though he trained to make himself even more deadly.

Can I join?
Room: 491. (I saw no real available rooms, and thought about it)

Windows! Of course you can join, after all you were the original owner of the first YCM Hotel.

So, room 4 . . . 9 . . . 1 . . .

Uh, yeah you see there isn't really any rooms available on that level; Lora and I take up the entire floor basically. I can get you Room 391 if you want, one floor below.

I don't mind helping Manage this Hotel too or something.

I'd gladly enjoy having you help manage the Hotel.
Watch out for this dude. He's kinda power-hungry from what I've seen. How often do you let people in your club and give them a position of power?   Not saying anything but he asked us to make him a Mod. Like, he truly, honestly, openly did. It's right there below his name even now.
Like I'm not power hungry? I've always stated that I'lve wanted to be a Mod. No one seems to ever take me seriously though.

Since this thread is still in my content, I'm going to assume no problems with me posting here due to inactivity.

If they have to ask publically, then clearly they're not thinking about the well-being of where they want to mod.

Mods have to be decided on their merits and not on the fact that they 'think' they should be good for the role. If that happened then we'd have Striker & Jake for mods

This. Basically, thinking you're a good mod =/= having the right abilities or mindset to be a mod.

All offense intended, but I honestly doubt that Clover guy or Jake would make very good mods.

Striker I think could potentially work for CC, but I don't think it is worth the risk.

I'm actually severely disappointed in the mod team that if somebody actually show a clear interest in being a mod he/she can't be one on those grounds alone.

Main reason =/= only reason.

Jake just openly said he's power-hungry. If you'd promote that, who's to be disappointed here?

As for Robotic, one very relevant factor is he showed up after a really long time, out of nowhere, and asked for a position. This is not exactly convincing evidence that he'd make a good Mod.

Ohohohoh, my favorite part is how he said:

Look, sorry about that. I'm not planning that anymore, and I'll just wait.

Like his status as a mod is guaranteed, he just has to wait.

I dunno, I wouldn't exactly trust someone who said that.
