Jake the Sage
If you get a strict enough mediator, then things should be fine. Well I was thinking some of the Moderators being the judges since I would plan on participating myself. Honestly either Phantom Roxas and Flame Dragon or whoever Moderator who would be willing to be the judges. When all's said and done though, it seems the biggest problem with RPs was the interest and commitment the people in them keep. Of course, that is why there would be prizes. You're less likely to just up and leave if you've already put in a lot of money into it and won't get it back . . . it also would curve the urge, hopefully, for people to try and cheat if they know they'd be expelled with no change of redeeming their portion of the prize money. Well the problem here stems to would the contestants already know everything about their opponent, including their weaknesses, or not? Because if not some people are going to go right for the weakness and be like, "Oh hey, how strange. It's your weakness." While others may actually try to use logic throughout the fight to make it seem like he/she figured out the weakness for him/herself. And if it's already known then they're both going to try to go for the weakness right away. Either the weakness portion needs to be kept secret only to the judges or even better, not there at all which would lead to people to actually think about how their opponent's powers and fighting style work and figure out a weakness for themselves. Trying to deny that without clear reasoning would just be considered as an asspull from the judges. The weaknesses would only be known to the judges so that if someone is hit with their weakness they can't pretend it didn't harm them.
Desu the Blue Nerd
Just make sure you get judges that definitely won't leak secrets. Although do go on about prizes and how people might not bother with the competition if they don't have the "money" or confidence.

I was thinking the prize money should be at least 1000 points to enter. I think if it was a thousand points to enter someone might not want to drop out. There would also be artwork given to the people. And think, twenty people in the tournament, that'd be 20,000 points total up for grabs
Fusion X. Denver
I like to think that the murder was metaphorical. If only. I've been cleaning up grisly messes like Remo's as part of my community service for acting absurdly in the presence of minors.

Having reps/points as prizes is good incentive. Worked for my Secret Anime thing. Actually, I might consider trying if there's a prize... Artwork sounds fine though. Especially since I'm pretty sure you were considering talking to people outside the forum. If only. Fusion X. Denver
DA's already ruined any possibility of me finding one punch man funny. Darn, that's a shame. I haven't read it in a while, but it's great at poking fun at the shonen genre. Weren't people going to do it anyway? Yes, but more people posted feedback this time. I always love seeing people's impressions on stuff and if it was for series I hadn't seen, they'd usually give me some incentive to check them out. I was surprised so many people wanted Points for prizes though, As you said, they're pretty much pointless right now.

Ignoring the small amount of work required (and put in to them) it's hard to say. They could have done it also because you made a bigger deal of requesting it. Worked for my Secret Anime thing.Actually, I might consider trying if there's a prize... There will be prize money to divide up between the top three and artwork. . . . . since I'm pretty sure you were considering talking to people outside the forum. I was thinking about it but the only person who I had planned on getting, the base model, I suppose you could say, takes so long that any fight would be ridiculous. I could look for more people but if they don't have the necessary points then it wouldn't be any good to have them. I guess they could be special guest fighters Reps are good for ego boosting? I guess? I always feel good when I get one Same here, though I don't always need them. If I get one I just think that I had found something extremely funny (^^)
Shadow Zero
I would also like to try my hand at it. Granted I haven't really done a whole lot beyond casual roleplaying with characters that have no powers for the past however long a period of time, but I think I could still do decently, perhaps even because of having done rp stuff with characters that don't have powers. If nothing else, that always helps you to learn how to do things without constantly relying on a given power or power-set.
Jake the Sage
You know, speaking of role play stuff, since I have a creative writing class this semester I'm having to do a lot of off-shoot writing for the class. However, I find it kinf od funny that all of my experience role playing has finally come in handy because it's made me into a better writer. Not to mention I have a wealth of experience creating characters and introducing them, which is what I'm currently having to do.
The Warden
Snrk. So, tell me something; what is making that Attack on Titan anime so addicting? YCM keeps going on about it, but I just don't get the hype.
Shadow Zero
If you want to run any of your writing and profiles by anyone, I'd be more than happy to give it a look. And on the note of rping, would you like to do some practice fights or something? I've had a couple of character ideas that I would like to try out in a controlled environment, free of potential vitriol and whatever else. Thar
So, tell me something; what is making that Attack on Titan anime so addicting? YCM keeps going on about it, but I just don't get the hype. One word: Opinion. People like it for their own reasons, and they continue to watch it for those reasons. I honestly can't stand people who try to come up with a logical justification to why something is the way it is (might be a hypocrite by saying that, but it's true.) It's all subjective, and the only facts in the subject lie in what literally happened in the show.
Shadow Zero
Perhaps there are those that like to try finding a bit of rationality and logic in the things they see on the show, and how they fit into the story? Of course, I could be completely misunderstanding what you mean there.
Fusion X. Denver
I like Attack on Titan because it keeps me in suspense, characters act realistically, and overall it's just entertaining. Fighting Titans, the tactics behind it, and that gorgeous swinging animation's always fun to watch. Plus, I think the writing's high-caliber. You can tell a lot of thought was put into world-building and motives for all the characters. But some people might think the characters are a tad lackluster and that animation fails in some parts and will let that detract from their enjoyment, but Thar's right in its subjectivity. If it doesn't click with you, it doesn't click with you. Like me, everyone I know thinks Azumanga Daioh's hilarious and a must-see, but I was pretty stone-faced and bored for five episodes and gave up. The Warden
Isn't that that show involving the creepy girl who thought it was a good idea to wake her friend up by banging a pot with a knife, but she forgot the pot part?
Sploda
No, that was another anime Broken. Azumangah Daioh is the one where the girl gets stuck in a windom trying to get out of her own batthroom. I find parts of it funny, but overall I'd watch Lucky Star over Azumangah Daioh any day. Shadow Zero
Hey, don't lump me in with those other guys that were fangirling over Azumangah Daioh, Fusion, because I haven't even seen it yet. lol
Jake the Sage
You know, I've never watched Azumangah Daioh OR Lucky Star, to be honest I don't think I could survive through either of them.
Desu the Blue Nerd
Lucky Star is that one anime that always comes to mind when I think of the anime I hate the most and I always try to think of something I really couldn't bare less but I never really can and don't think I forgot that I watched Butt Attack Punisher Girl. I should check out Azumangah Diaoh sometime though.

I mean I've actually tried every time it came on Toonami but I'd have to turn the channel because my ears would start bleeding! Because that's what parodies are supposed to do: parody stuff. In this case, it's parodying anime. If it's making the "serious otaku demographic" (you) cringe, it's doing the right thing. I actually loved that show. Yes, it's hilarious.
