sounds stupid.....wasn't there a superman movie already? why two?

Is that what you say about EVERY sequel? The movie is obviously a follow-up to the first one. The point? There is none. People pay good money to see superhero movies. The movie makers know that, all the same we watch them, and most of the time we love it.

I have a handful of movies to go see, one of them being Man of Steel. Iron Man 3 is another.

You haven't seen Iron Man 3 yet Thar? Oh man . . . you need to see it.

I honestly liked it up until the very end. Sure I know people who say that it was good and, SPOILER, they thought it was a good idea to make Tony Stark the hero instead of Iron Man. But to me that is the problem . . .

Tony Stark IS the hero, but by removing the arch reactor from his chest you remove his key defining feature, the burden and constant reminder that his actions have consequences. When it's removed I can't help but feel it's not really Tony Stark the hero, but just plain old Tony Stark the billionaire . . . who is funny but hey, let's face it, we wanna see Iron Man Tony Stark. Maybe that was what the directors were going for, but I can say I really didn't enjoy it.

what happened to my room? i thought i had a room here....

I thought you had a room but when I checked your name isn't there. Probably because you haven't been around for so long I erased your name.

[s]If you wanna apply for a room, we'll need you name, date of birth, Social Security number, your Credit Card number, the name of your bank, your home of record address, and payment in the form of your first born daughter.[/s]

Okay, now that that's outta my system, on to the movie topic.

I have quite a few movies I'd like to see.

Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Hunger Games, Rise of the Silver Surfer, and I somehow haven't seen Le Avengers yet.

Honestly, though, Sequels are rarely as good as the original movie. They're not always bad, but the quality tends to drop off.

Wow . . . you are horribly behind.

I suggest skipping "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" because everyone I've spoken to about it says it was a horrible movie. Hunger Games and The Avengers I suggest, though rent Rise of the Silver Surfer because (to me) I think they f*cked up Galactus.

I think they're going by the new All American Superman Origin Story, which expands on his time from Smallville to Metropolis. In a purely comic book view that is actually a good idea since no one has managed to trample over that section of his history yet. But we'll have to see if we're going to get what we ask for.

Who is the villain? Is it going to be Lex Luthor again or will we get a big cinema Doomsday?

I've been wanting to watch the Hunger Games because it's on Netflix, but I cursed it by reading the first few chapters of the book first. I should know better than to read the book before watching the movie. It should be the other way around if you don't want to be disappointed for the most part.

Yeah most movies that are based off of something else should require you to read or watch the thing their based off of beforehand. Like Avatar the Last Airbender or Cirque Du Freak to give a few examples.

I don't think it is really the movie's fault that sometimes they don't live up to the thing they're based off of since they are forced to squeeze the entire content into roughly three hours . . . four if you want to push it

Ummm, actually the Game of Thrones TV Series has only held true to a portion of the Song of Fire and Ice series. Khaleesi and John Snow arcs are WAY different than the books.

Jon Snow arc i DID notice a few changes, but nothing that made me feel like it had "broken" the story.

Khaleesi's arc the changes may have slipped past my notice...I was a bit *ahem* distracted, in alot of Dany's scenes. (I am unashamed to admit this)

I just can't wait for the next episode when they FINALLY
Kill that blonde sonofabitch Joffrey
Also, dood

Painful History on the music box

Thank you for showing me that

Wow I just thought of something amazing for the story guys . . . and I don't even have to CHANGE anything in the story to do it. (>83) I don't want to give too much away but there is a spy so how fun would it be to have a contest to see who can guess who the spy is?

Everyone who wants to play put in a certain amount of points and when the chapter comes out that reveals who the spy is the person who got it right wins the money. If there is more than one person then the prize is split between those who were right.

What do you all think?

Wait. what did they change in the show?

I've been meaning to watch it since I've been caught up to the books for a while now, but I may reconsider if Jon's story is radically different

So, what I'm hearing is that a director was given the opportunity to make something, and did what he wanted with his project? Oh, no, how horrible!

The more movies I see that are based on other media, the more I realize, there is only one way it's ever going to be exactly the same. That's if the one who wrote the book/comic/whatever were to be the director of the film. Sadly, that, is never gonna happen.

Huh, I missed a lot. Work's been crazy lately, so I haven't been up to date with anything outside the Anime section.

I still need to see Iron Man 3 and I'm dying to see Hangover 3. Man of Steel looks wicked; I'm hoping it'll revitalize Superman into something big like the Iron Man movies did for him.

Game of Thrones is something I've been hearing a lot about lately; I just might have to buckle down and marathon it like I did for The Walking Dead.

It'd be cool if an author also could direct, but alas, both come with different skill sets.

Oh hai Fusion.

The Game of Thrones TV series isn't really worth doing a marathon. If you wanna do that, marathon the books.

I definitely agree with this

And on the plus side, you can act like a haughty asshole for knowing which characters are going to live or die well before any of the TV watchers can

Like Tywin, Robb, and Kevan.

ALSO JON
