YCLoveMaker Hotel: We Love You All to Death~!

And I can't think of a single reason why that donation would be a mistake .-.

That's what I thought at first, but then these two dudes wrote an article against it stating that it caused more problems than it solved.

The main points they stated were:

1. The donation heightened the demand for medical staff, causing workers to drop out of positions inquiring the more basic needs for civilians such as nutrition, transportation, and education.

2. The attention towards the targeted group of diseases drew out the attention on some of the more basic health concerns that the vaccines couldn't prevent, which left those with said basic health concerns sick and unable to be cured or treated due to the lack of funding in that area.

It makes sense, considering that there are much more problems out there that are much more common and require more attention than just those three diseases.

So, he gives money to research in one area... and that causes more medical staff to be needed?

Uhhh... Can someone explain to me how that happened?

Because there was so much money in that medical field, more people wanted to work there for better pay.

And because more people wanted to go work there for a better pay it robbed the other places that equally, or more, need the workers. Like if the highest paying job was a construction worker no one would want to be a doctor, everyone would be trying to build houses instead.

Though a massive donation towards research isn't always a bad thing, if the cause is worthy and what not. Like a donation for cancer I can see being good even if it was a high amount, since the chances of a massive swing in personnel in that field is highly unlikely with the degrees needed to know how to properly work on cancer cells.

On a side note, I finished watching Yu Yu Hakisho. Now I can get to watching AnoHana or Rounin Kenshin; personally I've read all of Rounin Kenshin before so I doubt I'll be watching the anime since it only goes up to a certain point and doesn't go all the way through the manga.

And in case Dad forgets to mention it May 30th is my birthday! So everyone start thinking of ideas for presents!

Hmmm... a present for Lora... I wonder if...

No, no she wouldn't like that. You've been listening to Lonely Island for too long.

On the main point, I guess I can understand where that's coming from. Though, I doubt that he intended to rob other areas of their workers.

I mean, let's face it. People have been trying to "Raise money for AIDS research" for the last thirty years. I'm sure they'll have no problems spending this boo-koos of money on ridiculous events designed to raise more money.

No.........Dad listens to that song from time to time and I know what you're talking about.

Yeah I also doubt he intended to rob other research areas of workers but what are you gonna do? No good deed goes unpunished after all

A present huh? Hmmm... ah yes, I know the perfect present for you Lora, meh heh heh.

Should I be worried?

And your plan is what now? This sounds interesting. very interesting.

So, uh... What manner of, well, anything, does Lora actually like?

I mean, she posts every now and then, but... I don't feel I actually know her well enough to give her a gift.

We're giving presents to Lora now? I'll see what I can do.

I'll think of something for you Lora. Remember, it's the thought it counts. And hey everybody. Jake already knows this (and some of you may as well if you read my status earlier this afternoon), but I found out that I'm an uncle.

I didn't start giving a sh*t about you.

That's coolio. How come you didn't find out when he was born though .-.

My 9 year-old cousin was born an aunt. And her older brother became an uncle at age 4.

I thought that was weird when I was younger, but apparently it's not that uncommon. I've vowed to be that cool uncle when I get older so that my nieces and nephews can claim they have this crazy uncle like from the shows on the telly.

Because my previous foster mom only found out recently as well, and that's who I got the news from. And wow, that's shocking to me tbh.

Fusion, try as you might, but you will never be a better uncle than Fester Addams.

I don't have the chance to be a good uncle right now. It kinda sucks tbh. =/

Fusion as an uncle is as scary as I would be as a parent. Let the world tremble in fear.

Nah, I'm good right now. I'll tremble in fear later.

I won't be looking to be an Uncle for quite some time, mostly because one sister is a workaholic with a husband int he army, and the other is, well, she's just not ready for kids yet. Logically I'm pre-disposed to having at least a son in order to pass on the family name.

I assume you would be adopting a son if you don't have one, right? I mean, you gotta consider the possibility of not having a son of your own.

Only if you want too.....

I have three nephews and a niece. Since my nephews are all the way in another state I don't get to see them that much not to mention . . . I honestly don't like any of them. My niece on the other hand I do dote on . . . which her mother has stated that besides her brother I'm her favorite Uncle.

BTW, it is my cousin's child so technically that makes her my second cousin, but we just go with nephew/niece for ease.

Fusion as an uncle is as scary as I would be as a parent. Let the world tremble in fear.

Now I actually think Fusion would do good as a parent.
