Jake's dragon form was cool, until the second season, then it got pretty stupid.

You mean the slender looking one? Yeah I hated that one at first until it began to grow on me. I mean it actually makes more sense to have him as a slender looking dragon than the muscle-bound one he had originally.

And, favorite dragon:

Dude

You know shenron is way cooler

He seems way more Dragon-like

I just like Porunga better. He's bigger, grants more wishes, and is much more moody which makes him more intimidating in general.

But hey, everyone has their opinion, right?

Though considering I'm growing on the original Dragonball series, I can safely say they are both cool subjective to their generations.

Dragonball Z is awesome and all, but Dragonball just has that charm in all the characters and the use of their power isn't as abused as Z.

Plus I seemed to like the villains in Dragonball much better than Z. I used to be a huge Frieza fan, but now I'm all for General Blue. Pilaf and his cronies stand as the runners up.

DBZ might have benefitted if everyone in DB didn't become...well, uselessish.

Imagine Master Roshi still kicking a*s with the rest of them midway through DBZ; that'd be bossly for him to retain his status as a major player.

Or if Yamcha, Tien, Oolong and Puar were still relevant.

General Blue was a pretty good villain though. I think he's all the only evil gay guy I can think of.

Yeah I can agree with that but the only reason most of them became useless was because the power levels got out of control crazy. I mean the saiyans alone could ravage and entire planet with a few men and let us not forget that Frieza could destroy entire f*cking planets. Two arcs and we're already up to planet busting power levels here.

I think if it was toned down a bit with the power levels, like is say Frieza was the one who could ravage the entire planet with a few men, that'd be good. You'd still have people be able to stand up too them and it'd make the transition into Super Saiyan 2 against Cell that much more epic . . .

Super Saiyan can massacre an entire race

But Cell can destroy the planet!

BOOM! Super Saiyan 2, more powerful than Cell

Fandom goes nuts

Yeah . . . I can agree with that. Honestly only because I can't even think of another evil gay guy (Oe)

Guys seriously I'm starting to think nobody here's watched Xiaolin Showdown. I mean I posted Raimundo up there, this guy should have at least come to mind.

Kimiko: He said his name is Spicer... Jack Spicer.

Clay: It don't get much more flamboyant than that.

I've watched a handful of Xiaolin Showdowns back in the day, enough to remember the characters and their powers, but not really the storyline or whatever. Jack Spicer didn't come off as gay to me though .-.

Isn't the series supposed to continue soon actually?

And I guess toning things down might have helped, though apparently DBZ was supposed to end after Frieza, so I can't blame Toriyama for stepping things up to the highest level for the finale.

I loved Xiaolin Showdown!

Jack Spicer was a great antagonist, but I kinda like him more as an anti-hero when Wuya returned to her true form. He's just so innocent and powerless, you can't help but feel sorry for him.

Monk Guan was one of my favorite characters albeit only showing once in the series.

And I think I changed my mind as for my favorite dragons. Instead of Spyro, I'm gonna replace him with Dojo.

I did but I decided not to say anything about it. I mean we all know Jack Spicer is an awesome villain even though he is pathetic.

I think I remember something about that . . . yeah, oh wait no I think it was Code Lyoko that was coming back alongside Teen Titans. Teen Titans is now seriously dumbed down and Code Lyoko has the worst taboo of cartoons ever- Live Action!!!

Xiaolin Chronicles will start in a few days actually. I'm not even really sure of where it fits the show, continuity-wise, but there will be a new character.

It's a shame they're not keeping the old animation though...

I'm guessing you haven't watched Season 3.
Well you're not missing much besides the finale. Season 3 was pretty dumb.
Doesn't sound surprising. Usually by the third season, a show tends to fall downhill. I only watched occasional daily episodes, which is the best thing to do because the series isn't very linear as a whole. But since we're talking about the show: favorite Shen Gong Wu? (might've spelt it wrong) I'd have to say mine was the Third Arm Sash, especially with Clay's earth technique.

I dunno, Superjail! was pretty good in its 3rd season.

I never got into that show. Seemed a bit... wacky for my taste.

Regarding Adult Swim, I wonder when Netflix will release the rest of the seasons of Metalocalypse. They only have the first one out. My guess is they plan to release the rest later, but I'm all gitty about it so I can watch it straight through.

Of all the shows I've watched chronologically, it usually always gets modernized by the third season. For example: Doctor Who. The theme song for the first two seasons grew on me and made it exciting to start watching. But by the third season, they changed it, and the only reason why I watched the new intro was because Netflix didn't skip over it before it updated. It really through me off.

Same with South Park: The first two seasons grew on me with the intro, but hassah! They re-voiced it and totally ruined it for me. What's worse is by the fourth season, they remixed it. I mean... I hate the idea of remixes in general, but WHY?

I'd also use MLP as an example, but I'm a good house guest and I won't push Jake's hospitality.

Oh, you guys are talking about that disturbing piece of sh*t they call SUPERJAIL!. Wasn't paying attention and thought you guys were talking about DBZ AGAIN *which makes me wonder why Jake wonders why I'm not very active). But yeah, I've seen a few episodes of Superjail here and there. It's just soo...ugh...adult swim show, what can I say?

Since we're apparently going super off stray now this reminds me of one episode of Monk in which this chick is super overzealous about some show and thinks of the show changing its intro as a big deal. At the end she begs Monk to never change the intro and he just has no clue what she's talking about. They never did change the intro. I like Monk.

Eh, the whole 'they changed it now it sucks' was best coined by Stephen King's Misery.

Superjail! is awesome Desu, I don't care who says otherwise (even though I feel Season 2 was the worst), considering it's such a wonderful trip, and it's first season had a great death toll than the first two seasons of Metalocalypse.

I've actually toned down my hate for MLP in recent days , mainly because I've finally ran out of f*cks to give about a show with talking magical pink ponies. I won't watch it, but I can be around Bronies when they are without wanting to commit mass murder . . .

Hell! I'm even including jokes about my past intense hatred towards MLP in Trio of DEF II

I saw previews for it and I just sighed, shaking my head, because it's like most Adult Swim shows now. Just complete inane idiocy. I've tried watching a lot of shows on Adult Swim, outside Toonami, and there is precious few I like watching. Boondock Saints and Black Dynamite along with Aqua Teen Hunger Force are probably it. Nothing else is funny to me.

And DF, sorry that DBZ was my first anime and that it holds a special place where my heart used to be . . . (>>)

I've only watched a few DBZ episodes when they were airing back in the 90s. My knowledge of it consists of the full run-through that I finished a few months ago. I never thought I'd actually watch 200+ episodes of an anime straight through.

Boondocks, ATHF, AUPS1 (cause, i dunno, i don't see how it's different), Metalocalypse, and Robot Chicken are the ones I usually stick around to watch. No real reason for either of them, I just like 'em.
