Mugendramon
Just gonna point this out: The intro will melt you. Seriously... Adele's best performance, right there.
I will give you my frank opinion on the matter. The fact that they spent the opening credits - a good f***ing four minutes- in picturing psychedelic perceptions of the death.
Only to just have him casually be alive right after the credits are done, was a big bird to the face. It was unappealing to say the least.
Thar
I'll be honest, though... at first it threw me off to see something so different, but then I realized the last Bond movie I watched was 3 years ago, so it made sense.
Nathanael D. Striker
I loved Lincoln from a historical aspect, Mugen. While I knew the amendment would pass in the end, I loved how the movie led up to it. The suspense contributed greatly to the overall movie. While it is true that after the credits and having seen Bond get shot, he is alive and well. What did you guys expect? Them to kill him in the first few minutes of the movie? LOL no. But they didn't just have him "casually appear unharmed" or anything like you said Mugendramon. In fact I'm fairly certain you missed a few things that showed there was quite a long time skip from the credits to when you see Bond again. For starters not only did M16 already have a funeral for him but they had sold all of his possessions. That takes time. I'd say there was at least a month or two of time that had passed at least

And funny you mention Campaign, I rewatched it last weekend. Funny movie. Saw Ralph over break, okay movie I guess. My friend told me he loved Lincoln, though he's big into politics in the first place, so that might have something to do with it. You know Daniel Day-Lewis is one of those method actors? Regardless of the movie, I'm betting he did a stellar performance as Abe.

Jake the Sage
Did anyone read what I put down? You had to be crazy to think they were actually going to kill Bond. It is the same thing as when DC killed Superman and then Batman . . . they weren't actually doing it but only made it look like it.

Jake the Sage
Well duh that is what they planned on. Everyone was going to go see the movie to see if they actually would kill Bond and if they did how they did it. Hell Superman's death was an entire years worth of comics that culminated in the death issue which sold over a million copies. It wasn't that people were reading it for the hell of it, but people who had never read a comic book before was picking them up to see if they were going to kill Superman. It is all ploy and propaganda to actually get you to go see the movie so they get more money. Don't get so upset over clever PR
The Warden
I believe what Blind is tyring to say is that the suprise of Bond coming back fizzled because it was 2 minutes after the credits expressing his death. If you kill a main off to then bring em back 5 minutes later, the death no longer carries any meaning.

Spirit of DMG
A lot of people were upset about Skyfall. Though, honestly, I really enjoyed the movie. Wasn't surprised about Bond not really being dead. It's his movie. You really can't kill him off and expect the movie to be the same.
Jake the Sage
I'm excited about the new Narnia movie that is going to be coming out. Nathanael D. Striker
Another Narnia movie? I haven't seen anything suggesting that. Jake the Sage
Yeah they announced that they will finally be producing the Magician's Nephew which hasn't been made before. Fusion X. Denver
Wait, are they going to do an adaption for the 7th book, or does that come after Nephew?
