The Warden
The RP Section is too apathetic to maintain a war, as it demands people to remain for quite some time. And of course, the average YCM RPer's attention span is about 3 days.

Nathanael D. Striker
Cherry, that's the average attention span. I've seen some last for days, even weeks before the attention spans of other people make them give up.
iCherry
Most RPs are interesting, but the idea of actually doing them is not. There's the bad RPs. I've seen way too many good roleplays go downhill because the players end up getting bored for one reason or another and just leaving. It was always something that constantly annoyed me since I wanted to always end the roleplays
Most RPs are interesting, but the idea of actually doing them is not. How some RPs survive long, I don't know.
I actually have the answer for that. What you do is accept a lot of people so that once the role play begins you can start weeding out the weaker ones. The longer the role play lasts and by accepting new people on occasion you can keep the truly interested role players in the game while giving fresh blood every so often so it remains interesting and lively. And if you do this properly you'll have an "inner core" of role players and an "outer core" of role players who will come and go. Also, on a side note, apparently someone tried to steal a woman's purse at my store today- before I got to work. One of the old coworker's mother actually tackled the thief to the ground so a coworker on duty could grab one of the two purses from their shoulders. It must have been fun to watch . . . Fusion X. Denver
My problem is when I see an RP I like, I get all into it and look forward to it, but then after a few posts, I begin putting it off and then sadistically hope it dies so I don't have to get off my bum and post when I've lost all desire to. Horrible I know, but that's why I don't RP anymore.
Spirit of DMG
I actually look forward to when I get to post in an RP I like again. My problem with the RP section is that people will join a good RP, and then everyone asks when it'll start. Then the host takes several days, sometimes a week, to start it, and by that point, everyone has lost interest. Then there will be a few people left to post, and it'll draw more interest again, but now everyone is busy with life, and the RP is thrown under the bus. Like they can't be bothered to check it at least once a day, and take three minutes to put in a decent post. =(
