Just because someone has more going on then I might does not mean I don't feel stressed. I have no reason to feel bad about it. Honestly, people like you who claim one person can't complain because some has something worse going on are some of the worst kind of people.

Yes, the troops have more stress then nearly anyone, however, that under no circumstances means I can't need a break.

So guys, what traits do you like in a friend? For me, I like someone who is understanding and trustworthy.

LOYALTY.
Yes, I want honesty, understanding, and trustworthy
but god help me
if you aren't loyal
get the f*** away from me

Loyalty is so important to me you do not even understand.

Let's not compare our struggles with the troops. Their experiences are a whole different story.

THANK YOU

"What about the troops that are out there dying?"
"What about animal cruelty?"
"What about starving kids in Africa?"

Yes, they're all in bad situations, and I'm sorry. But f*** you if you think my problems don't matter just because they seem small in comparison to theirs.
It's not a contest, Jesus Christ.

Awww I don't celebrate Thanksgiving here.
What do people eat?=o

Also, the whole first-world-problems thing is only half-right IMO. Yes, ain't nobody got time for that, but you shouldn't measure suffering. Saying that someone's issues are irrelevant just because someone else out there is worse off is usually silly (oh I know nobody said that here, but this just came to mind).

Friend: Someone you can count on and who knows about and can deal with the different parts of your personality. Like, deal, not 'suck it up and worship me just cause we're friends'.

It's silly, and seems more of a method to say:
"Nobody cares, stop being sad."

It really hurts.

Thank god I'm not the only person who sees it.

I absolutely cannot stand when people do this. It's disrespectful and hurtful. It really does just dismiss their problems.

Actually Opal, that's exactly what Mr. Gorgon was saying.

I've seen how it hurts people more times then it should happen. It really reduces my hope in humanity.

about friendship: I look for nothing, I don't look for friends. If they happen, they happen. So far, this has only been a mistake a few times.

I have the same approach as Dane: Let people come to me and let things flow from there.

I stopped looking for friends since I lost my last one. Now it's just a bonus if I gain some during college. All I really care about is getting money and doing what I feel like.

@Dane: And the biggest mistake is still me, right?
No, but I'm sure you wish.

This is pretty much how I feel. If it happens, great. If not, it isn't a big deal, things wouldn't end well anyway.

Okay, I don't know if y'all know this or not, but I am in the troops. And in about one month, I'm goin to Afghanitan. So, honestly, jut think about me when you're about to rip your hair out because of something in school. I'm not saying your stress level is irrelevant, I've been there, but still.
I understand that's stress. I understand there are people with worse troubles then me. I also understand I'm stressed as well, and that I have the right to be stressed.

I'm not being disrespectful, I'm being honest. We are allowed to feel how we feel.

Even when it gets me nowhere, I tolerate that. As long as I have an income and a bunch of things to do, I'm good.
TBH, I'm glad I talk to ya guys. You guys give me something to do and laughs to boot. And we should have at least a Skype chat, not a full on call but an IM-style thing. Speaking of which, why aren't you on Skype Thar?

...

I jumped around there, didn't I?

Understatement of the Year

I'm assuming Rachel's father will be a big plot point in DEF II?

I'd like to point out that in

I also had another question Jake. In Fuse's DEF, most of the crazy stuff involved used Sufficiently Analyzed Magic as the excuse that it existed, much like alchemy in FMA

But it seems that you're using legit supernatural phenomena that no one understands at all, does this mean a genre shift from the original DEF?

Also, I'd like to point out that at one point (I forget where but I made a mental that it occurred) your narrative changed into a sort of first person Homeric metaphor and never really did that ever again. So it kinda felt awkward what with the sudden shift in POV and all.

@First World Problems topic: The thing is, DMG is undergoing those stresses

So it isn't exactly the same as the other scenarios you guys listed where random people feel like belittling your problems for no real reason

It's about time you have gotten something written Jake. We hear all the big talk, yet nothing is shown. Perhaps it's just me, but my interest has severely waned.
Hello Dane, good to see you have remained the same as always. You didn't like the story that much I suppose?

Yes he will make an incredible contribution to the entire story.

Well I am keeping with the same scenario Remo however, as you can see, I am going to pull a little more of the supernatural into the story.
As for how the entire not understanding of the supernatural realm I believe that as long as I keep the general ideas of the events then it will not get too hectic . . .

Ah! That point, that was actually when you are going through the spirit's past. It is actually a hint on who it is since the "evil spirit"'s name was never mentioned.
