Bahamut - Envoy of the End
Yeah, following the recent Zexal episodes, I've decided to add a few cards to V's fake deck. Yeah, I said fake deck. I think he'll be back at some point, and he won't be using a space deck again now he's lost Dyson Sphere. He'll be using a deck with shizz like 'Those Crawling into Hell' and all that cool stuff. But anyway, this is for an expansion set based on Abyss Rising, which I've nearly finished, so here's a preview. As always with my anime character support, the cards are meant to link with their archtype, as well as combo together exclusively in a way that can be seen as it would happen in the anime. (For example: Spy Satelitte is used in response to the setting of a card, succeeds, V then draws Space Debris Impact with its effect and uses it on it for 1000 Damage). Spy Satellite I think is pretty unique in its summoning, and Explorers of the Deepest Space very nearly ended in a 3 card OTK with Leeching the Light. Thankfully it was spotted and fixed. RVAC-013 Moon Driller LIGHT **** Machine/Effect When this card is Normal Summoned successfully: You can reduce its ATK by 1000 to Normal Summon or Set 1 more monster this turn. You can only gain the effect of Moon Driller once per turn. This card cannot be used for as a Synchro Material monster. ATK 1700 / DEF 800 RVAC-014 Booster Rocket LIGHT **** Machine/Effect Once per turn: Target 1 other monster you control; Its Level increases by the Level of this monster (at effect declaration), and reduce this monsters level to 1. ATK 1000 / DEF 500 RVAC-015 Spy Satellite LIGHT ***** Machine/Effect When your opponent sets a Spell or Trap card: You can reveal this card in your hand to target the set card and force its activation. If the target card activates successfully: Banish this card. If the target card cannot activate successfully, destroy it and Special Summon this card. Then draw 1 card. ATK 800 / DEF 2300 RVAC-054 Space Debris Impact SPELL Normal Spell Target 1 Level 6 or lower LIGHT Machine-Type monster you control; destroy it, and inflict damage to your opponent equal to its Level x 200. RVAC-071 Explorers of the Deepest Space TRAP Continuous Trap Special Summon to your opponents field 2 'Space Explorer' Tokens (EARTH, Warrior, Lv 8, ATK 2900, DEF 0). Space Explorer tokens cannot attack or be destroyed by battle. When this card leaves the field; destroy all Space Explorer tokens.
I wasn't going to do Heraldry Beast support, but given that these are being released and V isn't using a proper archtype like expected, I decided to have a look at what they were all about. Heraldry Beasts are mostly, but not exclusively, mythical animals that appear on coat of arms and emblems. You know the ones, like they appear on shields and other insignia. The most common are lions, eagles, dragons, griffins, higgogriffs, and other such creatures. Which I find a fantastic idea, especially when the two monsters Aberconway and Bernard's Falcon weren't all broken. Yet... Expanded the archtype by three monsters, and the Medallion series of Spells as support, to include more swarming, more level manipulation, and anime style effects as well as something a little bit different. Then it all comes down to the archtype's real boss monster...
VERZ-001 Heraldry Beast Catobelos WIND **** Beast This strange creature, half boar and half beast, appears from shrouds of mist that envelop grassy fields. Where once crops were plentiful, it leaves devastation in its passing. ATK 1700 / DEF 1000 VERZ-017 Heraldry Beast Griffor Rare WIND ***** Winged Beast/Effect When this card is Special Summoned from your hand successfully, your opponent takes 1000 Damage. If an Xyz monster that is attached with this card as Xyz Material would be destroyed, detach this card instead. ATK 2100 / DEF 1800 VERZ-018 Heraldry Beast Marzoc Leo S.Rare WIND ****** Beast/Effect Banish 2 'Heraldry Beast' monsters from your Graveyard; Special Summon this monster (from your hand). Once per turn: You can target 1 monster on the field; all 'Heraldry Beasts' levels become equal to the target monsters Level until the End Phase. ATK 2300 / DEF 1400

VERZ-058 High Medallion Call Rare SPELL Normal Spell Special Summon 1 'Heraldry Beast' from your hand. Then add 1 of your Banished 'Heraldry Beast' monsters to your hand.
*cue dranged child-like laughter* And now... the mightiest Number will descend... AND TAKE AWAY ALL OF YOUR MEMORIES AND FEELINGS AWAY AS YOU FALL HOPELESSLY INTO HELL!
I will award a rep to anyone who correctly guesses the origin of the Number. VERZ-045 Number 60: Heraldry Deity Wyverus U.Rare DARK ****** Dragon/Xyz/Effect 3 Level 6 'Heraldry Beast' monsters: Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card ; activate 1 of these effects. Each effect can only be used once while this card is on the field. -Target 1 monster your opponent controls; take control of it. You cannot attack this turn. -Target 1 random card in your opponent's hand; add it to your hand. You cannot activate any Spells or Traps this turn. -Target 1 monster in your opponent's Graveyard; equip it to this card and your opponent takes damage equal to half of the equipped monsters attack. You cannot summon this turn. ATK 3000 / DEF 1500

Yeah, comments and junk would be nice. Link to comment
ENMaker
Catobelos is weak. There wouldn't be any harm in bumping his attack up to 1900-2000 would there? I can't see why anyone would use it over Sabersaurus, Gene-Warped Wolf, Luster Dragon, Alexandrite Dragon or whatever, unless they decided to stupidly run a pure Heralds deck.... Griffor's effect is pretty cool. It has an active effect when used for Xyz, unlike.....every other monster in existence. That makes it really versatile and obviously it's pretty much made to be combo'd with Marzoc Leo (which has an awesome name) to get out Nunber 60 which is in itself pretty good. I don't get why you have "random" in brackets for Heraldry Deity's effect but that's the only typo or such I can find. Overall they seem pretty cool. I also just relooked at them and realized you can get Number 60 out in one turn by using Medallion Call for Griffor, banish 2 for Mozarc Leo then Normal Summon whatever you like and use Mozarc Leo's effect to get out that Number 60. And that's pretty cool that 4 of the cards you did combo to summon the 5th. Link to comment

Yes, Catobelos is supposed to be Rabbit target for Genome Heriter. Seemed the sort of anime 'wtf made up as we go alongness weird effects for Tron' effect for Griffor at the time. But yeah, seemed a good idea for protecting something that takes a while to get out. The Marcozzo is simply a lion with a crown (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marzocco). Whoops, thought it was meant to be in brackets. Will change. Well it might be an idea to ss Leo first, then use Call and normal summon the banished monster you got back, but essentially yes. Any idea where Number 60 might have come from? (Won't be getting an answer til I get back from work, but it can stay here). Link to comment

Don't comment on written cards if you're not going to comment on the cards, and solely pick niggly stupid holes in the way they're written. I like putting the stars. I could space them out, but I've never found counting to six that troublesome. Okay, so any comments on the actual cards next poster? You know, about stuff like balance, originality, that sort of thing? There's still a rep to be won for guessing why its Number 60. Link to comment
CommanderVolt
Catobelos is a vanilla, so theres not much i can comment on there. However, if more vanillas are added then the running of vanilla-support can be more probable, which in turn would make the card superb. Erm, not sure why it would deal 1000 damage for being special summoned from the hand, i wouldnt think the archetype would do much burn but...i guess we have to wait to see more. The Xyz Effect is fine but, how about limiting it for Heraldic Beast Xyz Monsters only? Otherwise, you just save up the monster, then turn it into Gaia Dragoon (assuming your leaving it as a level 5) which would be pretty neat. I dont really have any complaints but the burn seems really akward. Marzoc Leo is great. Obviously meant to combo with the medallion card and sets up Xyz very nicely. Could become very abuseable with more support but as is it's perfect. Medallion: see above. If they were LIGHT attribute this could have been broken (or at least amazing) but alas, their only wind. Diety Wyverus, rank 6 and a number. I dislike how its reminiscent of Verz Uroborus, but thats just a cosmetic feel. First effect is, skip your battle phase and steal a monster. Reminding me of Verz Bahamut but prevents you from attacking. it's aight, might be too abuseable. 2nd effect is balls. Add a card from your opponents hand to yours? Really, there isan't much to say about it. Last effect, equip a monster from your opponents grave to it, and then they take damage equal to half of that monsters ATK..and you can't summon this turn. I feel like you should just do without the wierd drawbacks (The cant activate spell or trap or summon this turn) but thats just me. Not sure if everyone is aware Number 8 requires 2 Heraldry Beasts, so I gave them a Rabbit target for that. Card probably won't make the full set, unless for 'TCG sneak peek VERZ-000'. Lol Well, remembers its an archtype from the anime, used by a major antagonist. Generic burn is to be expected and the sole reason I put it in. Glad it, Marzoc and High Call got good marks. Yeah, it was based on Ouroboros a bit, but with Tron in mind first. Dunno if you watch Zexal, but I wanted something that fitted Tron's soul/memory absorbing personality. Not to creative design wise to give him a three headed dragon, but effect-wise; I thought of it as Tron wanting to erase someone's past (graveyard), steal their present (field) and destroy their future (hand). Along with Genome having all its effects in the anime, this idea just sort of developed, and used Ouroboros as the model. I kinda wanted to give myself license to go a little nuts with it, being the big bad's big bad, but you think it's... underpowered overall? (I assume 'second effect is balls' means bad). You think I can cut its chains a bit looser, or maybe make it generic instead? Thanks for comment either way. Link to comment

The end result is a -1 for your opponent. With a little luck it becomes a -2 for your opponent, assuming you get something like MST, or one of their problem-solving cards they've been holding onto. Of course, theres the chance you'll steal a card used for an archetype your deck won't be able to use at all. Thus it becomes discard fodder or, simply a -1 for your opponent. I guess i should have been a bit more clear on what i meant by it was "Balls" (A bad way to describe crazy things i learned from a friend who does DnD) However just like Anime Genome had the effect to erase a cards name being the first in the game with that effect, i think this is the first card with an effect that steals a card from the opponents hand for essentially free. Its not particularly overpowered because its a chance effect, but it shouldn't be knocked off as underpowered. Link to comment
