Sigma stood, watching as the sun sank below the horizon and the moon started to rise.

"It is Equal." Sigma thought to himself. "The sun sets and the moon rises to watch over the earth, making sure that there is harmony between darkness and light." Sigma,s eyes followed the sun as it vanished beneath the horizon and the moon rose in the darkness. "Of course all of that is about to change." His eyes closed as he searched outward towards the vast and outer rims of this dimension. It was coming, and he could feel it. That ever growing force of darkness and chaos that changes everything. But he would not let that happen, he was sent here for a reason and he had no intention on turning back. "The world is spiraling into chaos and no one even notices. That is all but one. He could feel the presence of the one who searched for his memories, the one who tried so hard to turn darkness into light and show that goodness is in everything. Sigma sighed opened his eyes. "He is a fool, no one can convert the darkness." He looked up to the sky, "Not even the heavens."

 

"Having a nice chat with yourself, sigma?" Sigma turned around suddenly. "Verz, so you decided to accept my offer?" Verz, laughed. "Accept you offer?" He stopped laughing and stared at Sigma.

"I would rather see the earth perish then join you." Verz started to walk toward Sigma, then started laughing again. "Before i answer you, I want to know." Sigma turned away from Verz.

"If you are asking if the others have joined then you will be pleased to know that two out of the four joined." Verz grabbed Sigmas shoulder and turned him around. "Well then, I guess that i have no other choice." Sigma nodded his head in agreement. Then Verz grabbed Sigma by the collar. "But just to make it clear, when we are finished i am leaving the minute that we win.

Sigma nodded his head and pulled free from Verz,s grip. "Then it is settled." Sigma stared at the moon once more. " The numbers shall fall"

 

Chapter 1

 

Yuma looked down at his cards and frowned. His life points were at 1200 while his opponents were 2400 and he only had two cards in his hand. "Goblindbergh and the spell card megamoprh." Yuma thought to himself. Astral hovered above him, his arms crossed, staring at the cards in yuma's hand. "Yuma what you need is a level 4 monster and you might win this." Yuma sighed and shook his head. "I already knew that astral, your not helping that much."

Astral just watched as yuma contemplated what to do. "It has been a year now since we have defeaten doctor faker and yuma still has not changed much." The boy at the other end started to laugh. "Face it yuma, you cant win. My Great burning dragon (atk 2700 def 2100) will soon end this duel. And then i will have beaten the great yuma!"

The kid started jumping up and down. Yuma pointed at the kid. " We shall see about that!. Alright, I draw!"

Yuma drew his card over his head and brought it dwon. "Sweet, Gaga Magican. I am about to win this!"

Astral sighed. "Yuma, you know that was luck. Acording to my calculations, you had about six monsters still in your deck and 21 other cards. Therfore." Yuma cut him off. "Luck, smuk. As long as i win i dont care." Yuma looked at the kid across the duel room. "Alright, lets finish this!" The boy laughed at yuma. "You acctually think you have a chance?" Yuma nodded his head. "O ya, now watch this!" The boy stopped laughing and watched. "First i summon my Goblinbergh" A plane with a little goblin flew onto the field. "Next i activate the eff of Goblinbergh. When he is normal summoned, I can change him from attack to defense to special summon a level four or lower monster form my hand. So say hello to my Gagaga Magican." A wizard with a black robe appeared and crossed his arms. "And now, I overlay my two level four monsters to construct the overlay network. I Xyz summon! Number 39: Utopia!!" A cylinder with the hanlde of a sword appered and started to transform into a gold warior who had wings of light that surrounded him. The kid started to laugh.

That old rucket of bolts isnt strong enough to defeat my monster, you are just stalling what will happen.

Yuma shook his head. "I dont think so. Because now i equip utopia with my spell card, Megaporph.

The kid started to back a away. "Uhh ohh." Yuma smiled. " So you know what this card does do you?

Well let me refresh your memory just in case. You see if my life points are lower than yours my monsters attack is doubled." A glowing circle formed underneath Utopia's feet and yuma watched as his attack went from 2500 to 5000. "And now, attack his Great Burning Dragon!" Utopia drew two blades out and jumped up into the air. "Go, Hope Dual Slash!!" Utopia came crashing down, the monster exploded into particles and the kids life points went to 0. The female duel voice announced that the duel was over and yuma went over to the boy. "Hey nice duel, you almost had me there." The kid groaned and smiled. "Thnx, by the way my name is jake. Yuma helped jake up, and patted him on the back. "Well i hope we can duel later, it was a lot of fun but i got to go, see ya." Yuma ran toward home not even waiting for an answer.

 

Chapter 2

 

Kaito watched as heartland lights started to rise and the sun went down. He could hear the sounds of laughter outisde the window as he watched kids run toward the fathers and mothers and shop keepers started closing their stores. "This is how it should be." Kaito thought to himself. It had been a year since the battle between Dr Faker and Yuma had taken place and now everything was fine. His health was improving by the minute and he could feel his strenght return to him. But most of all he noticed that his brother, Haito was better then ever. He had to admit that with out yuma his brother might not even be alive right now. He turned his head toward the moniter in the far corner. Yes everthing was much better than before and now he might have a prosperous life withi his brother at his side. He sighed in relief, athough that did not mean he would give up dueling. In fact now that his brother was better he started dueling with fun and joy in his heart. Not the feeilng of anger as he ripped the soul out of someone to get at thier number cards. "Yes, That is the reason i dueled." He clenched his fist. "To think that i was a pawn for that Faker." He slammed his fist on a table.

"Yes surprising isnt it." Kaito turned around suddenly, he never even noticed someone entering the room. In front of him stood a man in cloak with his arms in his sleeves. "Who are you?" Kaito asked. He did not like it when people just showed up out of nowhere. The man stared at Katio and laughed. "O you shall know me soon enough. In fact you might not be able to get my name out of your head when i am finished with you." The man laughed again and rose his right arm. A portal of pitch black mist formed in front of the mans hand. Kaito stepped back. "What is this? Some kind of trick?" The man stopped laughing. "Kaito I am here to make a proposition, not to show you childish tricks." Kaito glared at the man uneasily for a second. "And what makes you think i am going to accept." The man sneered at Katio. "Oh, Belive me, i know you will." What if i was to tell you that your brother is trapped inside this black mist. Kaito stood, shocked to the core.

At that moment a face appeared out of the mist, it was asleep but looked as if it was having a nightmare or bad dream. Katio started to grab for the mans throat but he couldnt move. "What are you doing to my brother." The man just stood there calmly. "Here is my proposition Kaito. We duel, and if you win you get your brother back." Katio glared at The man. "And if i lose?" The man laughed. "Well then, Your soul is mine to command." Kaito stared at the man. He could not belive this was happening. But before he did anything he said. "If it is a duel you want, then its a duel you will get. With that the man laughed and walked backwards, the mist disappered and Kaito walked back as well. "You don,t mind if i change my outfit do you." Kaito said sarcastically. But before he waited for an answer, a purple glow formed underneath his feet and his out fit changed into purple duel outfit. "Photon disk set!!" A purple beam formed around his arms and a duel disk formed around his wrist. " Duel!" Kaito waited for the mans response, he said nothing. Then, he started to laugh. Katio watched as he laughed louder and louder then suddenly stopped. "Darkness, Envelop!!" The man shouted. And Kaito watched in shock as black smoke covered him form head to toe. When the smoke cleared up the mans cape was gone and instead he wore a black robe, and a black duel disk that seemed to be formed of mist. "Duel!"

 

Kaito put his hand on the top card of his deck. "I will go first if you don,t mind." The man just laughed and nodded his head. "Yes show me what you can do Kaito, show me that you can free your brother!" Kaito glared at the man. "How dare he taunt me like that. But i will show him, i will overwhelm him." Kaito drew his first card. "Draw!" He add the card to his hand. "Alright lets see here, we have galaxy eyes, photon thrasher, photon current, photon veil, monster reborn, and photon crusher." Kaito instantly knew what to do. "First, since i have no monsters on my field, i can special summon my Photon Thrasther from my hand!" (Atk 2100 Def 0) Katio placed the card on his duel disk. A glowing warrior appeared carrying a long and silver sword. "Next, I summon my Photon Crusher!"(Atk 2000 Def 0) Another glowing warrior appeared, this time carrying a huge baton. "And now, since i have two monsters on my field that at least have 2000 attack, I can tribute them to special summon from my hand, Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon!!" ( Atk 3000 Def 3000) The two glowing warriors vanished and a huge blue and white dragon replaced them. Kaito smirked at the man. But the man did nothing. "He must understand he is done for." Kaito thought. "I end my turn with a face down." Kato looked at his face down card. "Photon Current, Even if he does manage to by pass my monsters eff, i still have this in case." The man stared down at his cards, then started laughing again. "What a powerful monster, I cant wait to rip it from its master." Kaito stared at the man. "Is this guy for real?" The man stopped laughing and drew his first card. "Draw!" The man added the card to his hand. "Alright first i summon from my hand, Evilswarm Castor!" ( Atk 1750 Def 550)

The man threw the card onto the duel disk and a disfigured knight appeared on the field. "Next I activate the eff of Castor! You see when I normal Summon Castor I can summon another Evilswarm monster from my hand!" The disfigured knight threw his sword into the ground. "I summon, Evilswarm Olanta!" ( Atk 1650 Def 1250) A blue rock like creature appeared and roared. The man smiled a evil smile at Kaito. "And now, I overlay my level 4 Castor with my level 4 Olanta!" With this, the two monsters turned into dark streaks of mist and flew into the middle of the floor. "With these two monsters i construct the overlay network!" The middle of the floor started to shake as the man pulled a card out from his sleeve. "I Xyz summon, Evilswarm Bahamut!!"( Atk 2350 Def 1350) A black dragon rose out of the ground, mist flowing around it like a moat. Katio sneered at the man. "Your dragon's attack does not even come close to my monster's attack. The man laughed at Katios remark. "O no Kaito, I have no Intention of attacking your monster. I plan to steal it!!" Katio stared at the man in disbelief. "Katio, I dont duel with my monsters to attack, they are here to control others!" Katio still looked at the man in disbelief.

"Dont think i am telling the truth? Then maybe this will change your mind!" The man started laughing again.

"I activate the effect of Bahamut! By detaching one overlay unit, and discarding one evilswarm monster. I can take control of one monster you control!!" Kaito steped back two feet. "W-what?" Katio watched as an overlay unit flew into the middle of his monsters chest. "Noooo!" But it was to late, his monster started to change color from blue to black and all the time it kept roaring as if in pain. The man laughed out loud. "It is over Katio, you never even had a chance!" By this time Kaito's monster had switched sides of the field.

"And now, Galaxy-eyes, Attack your former master!!" The great dragon raised it's head and let forth a beam of blue energy. Kaito screamed as he was flung half way across the room. "And now, Bahamut, Finish him off!!" The black dragon screamed to the sky, and all the mist around him flew toward is mouth. And, then Katio watched as a black stream of mist came screaming towards him. "Noooo!!" Kaito yelled, but it was to late.
