First of all... I'm sorry if this is in the wrong spot, I didn't see anything in the rules / forums about where this goes...

 

Anyway, I'm looking for a Yugioh 1x1 Roleplay partner. I'm really experienced in 1x1s, but I've only done a few multiple person RPs, and they haven't turned out so well...

 

I have many ideas for a YuGiOh RP... But your ideas are valuable as well.

 

So, if anyone is interested... I hope to hear from ya!

 

All right, this may take me a little while to get up... But I'll work on it in increments.

 

First idea - Based on the first era of Yugioh, we can replay the Battle City Tournament, except have our own characters face off against Marik and the rare hunters. This is more duel focused, and less adventure focused. It's more along the lines of dueling.

 

Second idea - This has been done less, I think, than the first idea. This is based in Ancient Egypt, the pharoh Atem's time. However, we can change it around a little bit, and play a little before, or a little after Atem's rule. This roleplay is more adventure based, more plot based. It has the potential to be a dark RP, or a humorous RP.

 

Third idea - Set in the Yugioh GX era, at the Academy. This is, obviously, more of a schoolesque RP. More emphasis will be placed on the social aspect, as well as dueling. We have a choice if we want to have a "conquer the world" villain, or simply a rivalry between students and houses.

 

Fourth idea - Set in the Yugioh 5Ds era, the last signer has not been revealed, and one of the two of us can be it, or neither of us. We can start out in Satellite, or we can start out in New Domino City

I remember a while back we had another pioneer, the Supreme Gamesmaster guy, who did roleplaying reviews in the OoCs simply due to no better place, so following that logic I think you've placed it in the best place possible.

 

Rinne, prior to locking this, hear me out: I've seen plenty of Role-playing forums and am a member on many of them, and after Yubel pretty much generating this idea I realize that the Roleplaying section needs a Requests Thread. We have a planning thread, but to quote it "No asking for sign-ups."

 

Quite frankly, I think it would fuel the role-playing section significantly, and though more detail than a "YuGiOh RP" is definitely needed, I highly recommend you sticky a thread like this simply because it works. Think about it, if there is a request thread going along you'll have more RPs getting off the ground.

 

However you handle this is up to you, but I feel simply ignoring this will be a significant mistake.

I agree, I was rather surprised that there was no section for requests. In both of the other sites I RP on, there's been something along those lines. I think that it would make this site (specifically the RP forum) much more user friendly. To add to what Kyng said... well, there's not much more I can add. You said it rather elegantly, and I'm not sure I can add anything more. Props to you.

I've actually considered making a request thread for a while now, so this just spurs me to make a decision on the subject sometime soon. However, for now, I've answered your question on 1x1 RPs via PM. When/if the request thread is made, please repost this there. Until then, LOCKED.
