Emmah Camielle Richards, a well known editor for the New York Times and part time teacher at a local astronomy tower, is on her way to her fathers summer home in Canada. She has no idea of the upcoming celebration because she has been so busy with work. She has been waiting on the subway for the past hour and is starting to get impatient. She pulls out a laptop from her book bag and decides to write a short article on backed up traffic.

Meanwhile, Kevin, who had recently gone broke, lives in the subway station of broadway and wall street, is sitting on a bench talking on his phone when the train pulls up. When he stands up, he drops his phone and it slides down onto the rails.

He is in too big of a rush to even think about getting it, so he quickly jumps into the train and slouches onto one of the four empty seats.
