DARKPLANT RISING
Nowadays, archetypes rule the metagame. Dark Scorpions are one of the first archetypes to exist - to be exact the fourth, with Harpie Ladies, Toons, and Spirits right before them. If you think of "archetype" as "a series of cards with support cards that target by a part of the name", however, it's the [s]first[/s] second (Harpie Ladies involve only "Harpie Lady", Toons and Spirits target by sub-type, etc.). NOTE-Well, I thought they were first, but apparently Gravekeepers were. But that's not the big problem. The problem is, they...you know, they suck. Meanae and Zaloog are the only ones that have good effects, and that Zaloog isn't even a Dark Scorpion - meaning Meanae can't search him out. Thus Meanae loses all targets except herself. Gadgets and Stratos stick their tongues out at her. But still, they seem fun. Sucking isn't the equivlant of being not fun, but still, I don't think many people would want to keep them as they are. So, I made these support cards that make Dark Scorpions much more playable without turning them into a completely different deck (as in the cases with Agents and Machinas). NOTE-To make lore easier to understand, I'm going to errata "Cliff the Trap Remover" as "Dark Scorpion - Cliff the Trap Remover". Dark Scorpions United Contiunous Spell All "Dark Scorpion" monsters you control gain 600 ATK for every "Dark Scorpion" monster you control. Dark Scorpion Base Field Spell Once per turn: You can Special Summon 1 "Dark Scorpion" monster or "Don Zaloog" from your hand. While you control a "Dark Scorpion" monster or a "Don Zaloog": Cards you control except "Dark Scorpion Base" cannot be destroyed by card effects your opponent controls. Once per turn: if this card would be destroyed by a card effect, you can Banish 1 "Dark Scorpion" monster from your Graveyard instead. Dark Scorpion - Gold Hoard Quick-Play Spell This turn, each time a "Dark Scorpion" monster inflicts damage to your opponent, draw 1 card. Dark Scorpion - Wild Shot Normal Trap If you control 1 "Dark Scorpion" monster or "Don Zaloog": Target 1 card on the field. If you control a "Don Zaloog", you can target up to 2 cards on the field instead; destroy the target(s). Dark Scorpion - Birdline Reverse Counter Trap If you control a "Dark Scorpion" monster(s) or "Don Zaloog"(s): Negate the activation of a Spell/Trap card, and destroy it. If you control a "Dark Scorpion - Cliff the Trap Remover"(s), you can negate the activation of a Spell/Trap card, destroy it, and add it to your hand instead. Moar coming soon. Link to comment
-Lightray Daedalus-
The way "Wild Shot" is worded it can destroy up to 3 cards with Don Zaloog out it should be: If you control 1 "Dark Scorpion" monster or "Don Zaloog": Target 1 card on the field. If you control a "Don Zaloog", you can target up to 2 cards on the field instead; destroy the target(s). Field Spell destruction inmunity is Damn too much...you can make Stupid Moves with Dark Hole and TT and your opponent can't evn try to get ride of the Field via destruction...considering that you'll most likely try to swarm with "Dark Scorpions United" making your Dark Scorpions Giant Beatsticks...IDK...it feels kinda Broken... Counter Trap is weird...the adding the thing to your hand effect may be abusable??...What I'm not sure yet...no wait it only negates 1 time? may be having the same wording problem as "Wild Shot" then EDIT: And Gravekeeper's were also an archetype before Dark Scorpions...XD Link to comment
DARKPLANT RISING
How's this. Also, Gravekeepers became an official category one set after Dark Scorpions. Well, Gravekeeper's Servant did exist a lot before Dark Scorpions, but I mean as an official archetype with supports. Link to comment
