D.A._Sakuyamon
A simple topic with tons of one sided views. To those that say they wouldn't fight. I disagree, in all honest Goku is the kind of person that will seek out those who are strong to test his strength. He's also one to constantly strive to be stronger thanks to the lesson he learned in DB. Superman on the other hand.........is auto strong and really has only one brutal weakness (Meaning the weakness effects him if near by). Now if Superman blew up the planet Goku would just instant transmission to another planet thats possible light years away. In which case Superman has a while before he can get to him. I could go on with the cross examination but it's time to here what you all think.
Shradow
For one, Superman only has powers under a yellow sun and because Earth has a lower gravity than Krypton. Meanwhile, Goku is a born warrior who trains under hundreds (possibly thousands, I forget what he gets up to) of times Earth's gravity for fun. I believe Goku if physically more powerful than Superman in both strength and speed. Superman might only have him beat in invulnerability. Superman has his vision and breath powers while Goku has his ki attacks. Don't even get me started on Kaioken and Super Sayain. Goku would kick Superman's butt. D.A._Sakuyamon
Strength yes. Speed...........not really except for Instant Transmission.
Fusion X. Denver
It'd be close, but I'd also say Goku. I'd want him to win more than Superman anyways.
Shradow
This is how it would go: Goku: Kaio-ken! Superman: Kaio-what? *gets punched to China*
Grunt Issun
Mocking Goku's speed? Ha. Instant Transmission is a teleportation thing, yes, but that doesn't mean Goku isn't IMMENSELY fast. Goku, as a teenager, swam halfway around the world in a day. Whilst on Snake Way, he ran 145 miles an hour consistently. Goku can, by the time he gets to Namek, move at normal speed in 100X gravity, and by the end of the Buu saga, it's likely he could train in easily over 1,000. The super saiyan form multiplies ones power, and partially speed, by fifty, and he can do this transformation a total of 4 times. The Kaio-ken increases power and speed in multipliers as well. That's only taking into account the most basic factors, not even COUNTING Ki attacks.
Shradow
There's only one way I know of where Superman could beat Goku... Convince Goku to surrender by treating him to a meal or six.
Sunshine Jesse
... Superman is millions of times FTL in both reaction and movement speed, and casually moves planets on his back. He's tanked Supernovas, and fought to the extent where the earth was shaking apart under a red sun. That's right, he produced power equal to or greater than SSJ3 Goku while -heavily- weakened. He takes this -easily.- And this is coming from someone who prefers Goku as a character by a wide margin.

Also Super Sayian 4 doesn't count sense it wasn't in the manga. One more thing, I didn't say Goku would lose.
Mr.Robot
I'll say superman because he'll turn into Superman Prime/Superman One Million who's nigh-omnipotent. But regular Superman's good too. He can travel in the speed of light, has super strength, Telescopic, Microscopic, X-Ray, and Heat Vision, super hearing, superhuman stamina, invulnerability, super breath/ freeze breath, longevity and as a Kryptonian, he possesses the ability to absorb the solar energy from yellow stars. His Kryptonian body is constantly absorbing and storing energy from Earth's yellow sun (allowing him to retain energy under roofed structures and even at night) which in turn grants him incredible powers, including superhuman strength, enhanced senses, impenetrable skin, and the ability to defy gravity. His body is also able to absorb the energy of a blue sun, which also grants him increased strength and various other powers (although not to the same degree as under a yellow sun). Superman has also been shown to be able to absorb anti sunlight as during the World War III storyline, Superman drained Mageddon's core by absorbing the anti sunlight radiation, defeating Mageddon in the process. Not a superman fanboy but I've seen this fight many times...I used to read manga more than your basic comic so naturally I would say Goku wins....but that was a long, long time ago. Thar
Sue me for being anti-classy. Goku wins. Why? Cause he has every attribute Superman has and then some. (gratuitous amounts of energy blasts, Kamehameha, and the world-denting spirit bomb.) ...and he can move instantaneously. So yeah.
Yang Xiao-Long
Superman. In his first fight against Doomsday, he won, but he died at the end of the fight. But that's the thing; he didn't really die. He was just recovering from all of the trauma he went through with fighting an apocalyptic living war machine that adapts to what it's fighting. In other words, "The Death of Superman" was more like "The Nap of Superman." Goku actually dies. Twice. (Or was it thrice? I forget exactly). People also doubt Superman's speed. In one fight against Doomsday, Superman realized that even he can't kill Doomsday, so instead he grabbed Doomsday, and flew so fast that he reached the literal end of time, whereupon he dropped off Doomsday and flew all the way back to the time he started. Chaos Dralcax
Superman just has several convenient powers, but Goku has more potential, and could easily surpass Superman during a fight. Besides, Superman's tight costume has got to limit movement.
Cobax
energy like goku can harm superman, like the show smallvile(forgot what episode number it is) the witch use their magic on superman and he is effected by that magic.
Shradow
Yeah, Superman's as vulnerable to magic and supernatural forces as any other guy, so if Goku's ki attacks count for that then Superman's pretty screwed not even counting everything else. Expelsword
The problem with Superman is that there are so many different versions of him that his speed and power are unknown. I would have to give the edge to Goku based on his many energy attacks which Superman doesn't seem to shug off as well as a punch though.
Sunshine Jesse
considering post-crisis pre-Flashpoint Superman tanked a Supernova, Goku's Ki blasts would do jack s*** to him. Unless you can show me where Goku output energy on that level, Goku isn't so much as scratching him. And no, Cell's statement does not count as he never actually PERFORMED the feat in question. Even then, Superman has a hideous speed advantage. And Superman isn't weak to magic. He's just not resistant to it. He still has supernova-class durability against energy and magic. Expelsword
He tanked a Supernova? That's flatout stupid. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ScifiWritersHaveNoSenseOfScale Supernovae are extremely luminous and cause a burst of radiation that often briefly outshines an entire galaxy, before fading from view over several weeks or months. During this short interval a supernova can radiate as much energy as the Sun is expected to emit over its entire life span. The explosion expels much or all of a star's material at a velocity of up to 30,000 km/s (10% of the speed of light), driving a shock wave into the surrounding interstellar medium. And don't give me crap about "the yellow Sun," because I'm pretty sure they aren't yellow.
Lt. Colonel Remo
Assuming Superman would exist in the Dragonball world (and vice versa) we have to also accept the fact that kryptonite exists. The only thng giving Goku any sort of edge (given Zarkus's argument, Goku seems outclasses) is his instant trandmission and his sensory ability, giving him the ability to find kryptonite and thereby end the match. Now, we all know Goku would never do this as this clearly goes against his personal mantra. But in the event that he had to kill Superman, he could do it. And after looking into the Wikipedia article, it seems that his powers "are still the result of natural phenomenon, not supernatural."

Mr.Robot
Goku can't handle anything as hot as the sun and I remember he had to throw someone to the surface of the sun just so he could win. Superman can fly through the sun and his heat vision is as hot as the sun... so we all know Superman wins here. Even Superman's speed is superior to Goku's.
