Archetype is really cool, and I like the concept, but it seems a bit gimmicky to me, like the strat of not drawing during the draw phase doesn't amount to much. ATK / 1300 DEF / 1200 C - Seems legit, nice engine, quite situation outside archetype though; then again that could be considered a balancing factor. You'd run it at 2 I imagine, but it wouldn't be necessary. A nice card for drawing. 2 - Flame Kitten FIRE / Level 3 [ Beast / Effect ] During your Draw Phase, if you control no monsters, instead of your normal draw: You can reveal this card in your hand; Special Summon this card. Then Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower Beast-Type "Flame" monster from your Graveyard. ATK / 500 DEF / 900 Instant Xyz Lv3, evidently. I'm shocked you haven't got any Tuners in this archetype for Brio. Regardless, it works nice with the concept, and of course being restricted to no monsters balances it out. 3 - Flame Hyena FIRE / Level 4 [ Beast / Effect ] If this card is Normal Summoned during a turn where you did not draw a card during your Draw Phase: Add 1 Beast-Type "Flame" monster from your Deck to you hand. ATK / 1800 DEF / 200 Pretty simple beatstick. I like it over many others, because people have the tendency to make beatsticks amazingly powerful (OP) or ridiculous to use. You've got the manner just right, it has a function, but it does not drive away from it's task of pownage. 4 - Flame Cougar FIRE / Level 4 [ Beast / Effect ] If this card is Special Summoned: You can Increase the Level of all FIRE[s]-Type[/s] monsters you control by 1. ATK / 1700 DEF / 200 Very versatile, restricted to FIRE decks. I've crossed out the error, FIRE isn't a type. Fairly useful, especially for the archetype's Xyz works. Also, Rank 5s se gusta. 5 - Flame Puma FIRE / Rank 3 [ Beast / Xyz / Effect ] 2 Level 3 Beast-Type "Flame" monsters When this card is face-up on the field with Xyz Materials, neither player can draw during their Draw Phase and both players draw 1 card during their respective Standby Phases. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Special Summon 1 Beast-Type "Flame" monster from your hand [u]or[/u] Graveyard. ATK / 2100 DEF / 1200 Very useful, absolute need to work with the archetype. I imagine the Special Summoning is to aid the summoning of other Xyz monsters. You just missed out "or" but that's minor. 6 - Flame Leopard FIRE / Rank 4 [ Beast / Xyz / Effect ] 2 Level 4 Beast-Type monsters When this card is face-up on the field with Xyz Materials, neither player can draw during their Draw Phase and both players draw 1 card during their respective Standby Phases. Once per turn: You can target 1 Level 4 or lower banished FIRE monster; Special Summon it. ATK / 2450 DEF / 2000 Rekindling and this card get along so well. Otherwise, not much else needed to be said that isn't covered in Cougar. 7 - Flame Lion FIRE / Level 5 [ Beast / Xyz / Effect ] 2 Level 5 monsters When this card is face-up on the field with Xyz Materials, neither player can draw during their Draw Phase and both players draw 1 card during their respective Standby Phases. At the End Phase of each of your turns: Detach one of this card's Xyz Materials; destroy 1 card on the field. ATK / 2700 DEF / 1000 Ah, that's more like it. It's detaching effect seems mandatory, did you intend that? I think if it was optional it'd work better, but maybe you've rational for it. 8 - Beast King Rebirth Spell / Quick-Play You can only activate this card during your Draw Phase instead of drawing a card: Add 1 Beast-Type "Flame" monster from your Graveyard to your hand. Archetype exclusive Spell for easy effect use, I like it, but nothing more to be said. Pit of Whirling Flames Spell Banish 1 Beast-Type "Flame" monster in your Graveyard; Draw 2 cards. Then discard 1 card. Oh...so that's why the banishing effect. Yeah, balanced and stuff, an engine I assume. Link to comment
