Devil Buster HQ (YCM's Shin Megami Tensei & Persona Fan Gathering)

Elizabeth gets to stomp your butt in P4:A with Thanatos. Plus she gets insta-kill skills outside of that unique 1-Hit KO Finisher every character has. Unfortunately, wen used by the AI, she can curb stomp you with ease, but as a player character...sadly, she's lacking in that regard, and becomes an absolute b*tch to play as. That is to say, tricky as hell.

May be something out of the blue, but have any of you read Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei, or rather, the online tranlsation of it? It was what basically spawned the SMT series that we have now, and it's that bad of a read either. There's a link here if you want to read the translation. http://ddstranslation.blogspot.com/2006/08/prologue-chapter-1.html
It'll lead you to Chapter One of Reincarnation of the Goddess, which is the first book. You'll have to click on said title to get to chapter Two, as the Chapters listed on the sidebar are for the second book. Anyway, I found it pretty interesting, to be honest. Of course, it's not exactly the same as the SMT we have now, or the first game that came out, as it were.

I was looking looking through stuff for Innocent Sin and happened to notice the existance of it. It looks like a much darker version of Innocent Sin where Maya is the main character instead of Tatsuya. Would that be an accurate statement? And I read some stuff about it coming out on the PSP. Do you know when it will because I kind of want to play it. ._.;

It's not necessarily darker, but does more of the serious atmosphere you'd expect from a SMT game. Innocent Sin was slightly more on the light-hearted scale. And Maya is the main character, cuz...y'know, everyone getting their memory wiped out (except Tatsuya, since he refused) in exchange for bringing Maya back in an alternate reality.

So kind of like how Persona 4 is more light hearted than Persona 3?

Huh? So...it's kind of like a sequel?

It IS a sequel, not just kind of like one. Main differences between Eternal Punishment and Innocent Sin are all of the playable characters being switched out for different ones (with the obvious exceptions being Maya and Tatsuya) and everything taking place on "the other side" of Innocent Sin. Just think of it as the same world, but a different timeline (or parallel world). In this timeline, the Masked Circle never forms, Tatsuya, Maya, Lisa, Eikichi, and Jun never became friends, and all of the Last Battalion business never happened either.

In other news, more new features of P4 Golden have been revealed. Rise can apparently do more than just analyze and yap your ear off. She can now heal characters, pick up Souji/Yu if he's knocked down, and join in for All-Out Attacks. We also get team attacks, and once you get a license, you can drive around a motorbike AND use it in battle. Yep, bike attacks.

Right. Because to stop that bad guy they had to alter the past as to stop them all from ever meeting. Although in the end they had seemed to have met back up so I'm not completely sure about all this. Oh well, I'll just play Eternal Punishment if that comes out on the PSP which I heard it would.

Good for her.

Okay, now that is pretty f*cking badass. I'm so going to tell my friend about all this.
