Flame Dragon
With Fox currently paying tribute to itself I thought this was a good time to talk about our favorite shows from that network. Mine include: Fringe House Bones That 70 Show Prison Break 24 Simpsons Hell's Kitchen Futurama (it counts) Things I need to watch: Firefly X-Files
Not-so-Radiant Arin
I watched a few episodes of Fringe, but never really got into it. My sister loves watching Bones. She claims it's funny as hell, even though from looking at the trailers, the guy looks like a sadistic hellspawned maniac. Hell's Kitchen pales when compared to MasterChef/Top Chef. Also, during the tribute it was brought up that while Fox is very well known for its right bias in news a lot of the shows tend to be a lot more left. Catterjune
I will always stop whatever I'm doing to watch Married With Children. They all start out slightly believable and grow more and more cartoony and wacky, but that just made the show better IMO. One of the few shows where Flanderization makes the show better. The first half of That 70's Show is amazing. Then it gets incredibly terrible after Donna and Kelso spend a summer in California. Malcolm in the Middle was great. Very underrated. After the fifth kid is born it gets kind of bland though. My favourite thing about Malcolm in the Middle was Francis (their older brother)'s adventures who rarely interacted with the main family. When I first heard about Bones, I thought it was like Fox's version of CSI. The more I hear about it and the more commercials I see about it make me think it's actually supposed to be a comedy. Never seen the show though. House, I think I saw one episode. It felt like CSI where germs are the main villain, as opposed to murderers. My favourite Hell's Kitchen contestant of all time was Julia, the girl who used to work at a Waffle House, from season 3. She was just so nice. Second favourite would be Dave, the one armed bandit from the 2009 season. He was so mellow. Futurama and the Simpsons, but just about everyone's seen it. I've heard good things about Firefly but never seen it. Same with Dollhouse and Sarah Conner Chronicles. Oh well.
Yea, Malcolm was a good series. I don't remember seeing it during the tribute, and that is odd since it ran for a while. Might have just missed it. Tentacruel
What's this about Ned Flanders?
It means when certain properties of a character are made more and more extreme until what was once an aspect of a character becomes an extreme, completely encapsulating definition. It takes it's name from Ned Flanders, who gradually went from an very old-fashioned silly Christian who was generally a nice guy to a raging lunatic playing up just about every stereotype in the book. The biggest change was that originally Homer hated Flanders for no reason, which was a subject of comedy, while now Flanders pretty much deserves it. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Flanderization
