Garden Of Dreams [IC/PG-13/Started Accepting]

Recommended Posts

Just moments after Casey had slammed open the door and taken a seat in the room, Claude came in, hands stuck in his pockets, calm as you please. He was rather surprised to hear Fumore's explanation on his being 600 years old, as well as the the Knightmares, or whatever they were called. Is it just me, or does this sound all too much like something out of an anime plot?

His initial skepticism aside, Claude wasn't all that surprised, considering earlier, he'd been transformed and was flying around the school firing beams of energy. And all that just from dreaming up a supernatural ability, too. He was untransformed now, but wouldn't be surprised if he change into that other form with a blink of an eye. Walking over to a desk near the back of the room, he sat even as Fumore was barraged with questions from the other students.

"Why yes, you can use your powers, but only to train them." Fumore said responding to the question given. "But you must keep them a secret. Do not let anyone know that you have supernatural abilities. If I catch you using your powers other than training I will kick your ass." Fumore smmiled. "So anymore questions." That's when Sakura started to question his choice in knights. "Well Sakura, you just happened to transfer at the wrong time. This school isn't that weird, usually. Anyways, of course the teamwork is weak. Most of these people don't even know each other. Plus this is the first time using powers, so some still don't know what they are. Anyways they did some good teamwork. Adrian and Jason did some damage with their Unison Attack." Fumore smiled at both of them. " Yes some people have problems, but they managed as you saw, so it's okay."

"Well anyways enough for today, go enjoy the rest of your lunch." Fumore said walking out of his classroom.

Lukas sat there, ears on Fumore, but eyes on his glove. He heard what Sakura said, aand he could tell straight away he wasn't gonna like her. After they were dismissed, Lukas walked towards her.. "One: I didn't have any of those 'problems' you mentioned. Two: of course our teamwork isn't perfect, we just kinda got thrown together. Three: I didn't see you out there fighting. Four: What exactly do you have to offer, cause healing won't come in handy when we're fighting a Knightmare and we need all the help we can get. And last, but not least, 5: I don't know who you think you are, I don't know if people let you treat them like you just did, but it will not stand with me, and it will probally not stand with anbody in the school." Lukas ranteed, realing building up steam. "Now, if you could leave me to my lunch, that would be great." He said, before walking out of the classroom door, listening to make sure the diva didn't try anything on him.

Nancy then sighed and said in response to his response to her question "Actually, That's not what I meant, What I was asking was... If one of us had little spare time to train, Is there any way that they would be able to train?". Nancy almost ignored Sakura's complaints until after actually asking her own question, She glared at Sakura and walked up to her and said into her face "On paper, That 'handicap' I have would interfere a lot in a battle, but the battle did not follow suit to the paper" Nancy Giggled, but then registered the fact that you must keep the powers a secret, and said to Fumore "That's actually as I thought, Ironically, our abilities must be kept a secret..." then she thought "My god this reminds me of Negima!"...

Sakura thought to herself about those five numbers said to herself, as she walked to the lunchroom. "Does that nerd think he is better than me?" Sakura thought to herself as she ate her lunch. "Well, of courese he didnt see me fight, i wouldnt be able to with no weapons, and no idea what had happened. These people think that they are sooooo hot! Well, one of these days, something will happen to them, and when they do need me, ill just laugh at them." Sakura thought. "But, I dont want to be a burden to those other people, so, i think i might as well train, somehow." she thought.

Adrian nodded at Fumore's answers, and calmly ignored the ranting at the other side of the room, preferring not to get involved. He instead looked down at his hands again and moved them with his mind only, concentrating on his control over his powers. Because, after seeing what he did today, he realised that's what they needed. He had seen that they were powerful. Each one of them had power, and lots of it. What they were lacking was control.
And so, Adrian spent the next few minutes 'training', moving seperate parts of his body with his mind, feeling each bone and joint and changing certain things, such as their density. After a few goes, he realised that no matter the weight, he could lift the bone. And as such he changed his bone in his fist to a higher density, roughly the same as steel. Without thinking, he lowered his fist onto the table, slightly forcefully, and lifted his hand up to find a dent in the desk. "Nice." Adrian muttered, before returning the bone to its normal density, and walking over to Charlotte.
"Are you okay." He asked, after realising she hadn't seemed to have done much during the fight, and wondering if she was frightened.

Charlotte listened calmly to Fumore's explanation, running the information over in her head several times. Ordinarily she'd have passed it all off as the ramblings of a lunatic, the slight difference here was this lunatic had actual proof that what he was saying was real and whether she liked it or not Charlotte was caught up in the whole thing. She cast her gaze around the room as several of the other students spoke up, asking questions left and right, understandable given the situation but all it was doing for Charlotte was giving her a headache.

These're the people chosen to save the world, huh? She thought to herself Don't think I've ever seen a more disfunctional group. Still, they're probably the only ones crazy enough to believe all this.

She looked up as she saw Adrian approaching, a note of concern in his voice as he asked if she was okay. She bit back a sigh and picked up her bag as she stood up.

"I'm fine," she said, not making eye contact with Adrian "I wasn't about to fight an oversized arachnid with a glorified toothpick."

"I know. I just wanted to check if you were okay." Adrian said, slightly down-hearted at her response. Adrian sighed and looked at the wall, thinking about Charlotte's reactions to any questions. Something's happened. He thought, wondering whether or not to press her further. He sighed again and shook his head, before looking up at Charlotte again. "Hey, I was wondering. Want some coffee or lunch or something." Adrian asked, walking after Charlotte. It wasn't as though he was making a move, he wasn't that kind of guy. Just as friends. He said to himself, smiling.

When he saw that the girl wasn't gonna try anything, Lukas walked out onto the playground. He looked around, and when he saw no one he slipped down underground, into his 'lair'. While down in Rock Cavern, as he now called it, he honed in on his skills, doing target practice with the slagmites and stalactites. He was off, because he was thinking about something else. One of the girls in the group, he felt something for her. He just kinda, wanted to be her friend. Not her boy friend, just normal friend...

Sakura finished her lunch and walked to the playground. She scanned it, and walked around. "Hmmm, there are about 200 places here I could hide to practice my skills, but I’ll need someone hurt. Maybe, I could do it to that other bully, Nah. Fumore wouldn’t be too pleased." Sakura silently thought. "Hey, wasn’t that the boy that threw a cup of apple juice at me during preschool?" Sakura dismissed the thought. She pulled out a butter knife she had smuggled, and walked into a building, keeping the knife hidden. She wandered for a bit, making sure she couldn’t get caught. She had then found an empty class room, with most objects packed in boxes. "I’ll remember this path," Sakura thought aloud. She began to throw the knife at the walls. "Good thing it is plastic," she thought. She tied her hair into a pony tail to keep it out of her face, and she tied her locket to the knife for some weight. She practiced her accuracy for a bit, and then hiding her knife, she went out to the playground to look for that one boy, so she could apologies.

Nancy got up, She was curious about her new Gloves. She tried her hardest to take them off, but even with all of her strength, They would not move at all. She sighed loudly and said "Looks like I'm gonna need some new attire..." Then Nancy looked at herself, Her shirt and her pants matched her 'Gloves', then she said with a giggle "Or Maybe not, I look pretty good with these anyway, Although it could use some long black Socks". Nancy walked out of Fumore's Classroom and out towards the Playground, She did not really bother with the Socks problem much. When Nancy got to the Playground, She saw Sakura outside just standing there, talking to herself, to which she giggled and asked Sakura "Am I Interrupting something?"...

Claude sighed as Fumore dismissed them. Back to the regular school grind, huh? Not that I'm overly disappointed, but it's a bit of a letdown. Pulling his bag back over his shoulder, he set off out of the room. He noticed the two people he'd met earlier before the massive spider launched its assault, but they seemed to already have plans, so he grudgingly moved on.

Out the hall, and down to the yard. Claude's thoughts were still a tired jumble, indecipherable even to himself. I hate feeling alone. He certainly could do with someone to talk to, especially after what'd happened with everyone getting fantasy powers and beating up creatures that looked like they'd crawled out of some horror writer's imagination. Not that spiders were overly creepy, but bloodthirsty spiders large enough to bust straight through the walls and kill everyone? Nightmare fuel, 'specially if anyone had arachnophobia. Oh, well.

Just then, Claude noticed two of the girls that had also been in the room where Fumore had told about their role and the Knightmares and whatever else. One of them seemed to be going up to the other and giggling with a slightly creepy voice. Creeper, much? Claude paused, and moved off towards them but more to the side, so as to see what was going on, wondering all the while why he was doing this.

Charlotte was about to leave the room when Adrian spoke up again, asking if she wanted to go out for a coffee. She paused at the door, mulling the question over in her head; ordinarily she didn't eat or drink anything she hadn't prepared herself, not out of paranoiah but more a sense of indipendance, however given what had just transpired it would probably help to calm her down, probably get a few things off her chest as well.

"Sure, why not," she shrugged, actually looking over at Adrian this time "Lead the way then."

She stepped aside to allow Adrian to pass by, casting a glance down the hall at the other students leaving as well, no doubt with their own plans or questions about their new found powers.

Sakura heard a creeper like giggle, and Nancy that was when Nancy interrupted her train of thought. Sakura turned around without showing any emotion. "How long have you been following me?" Sakura said. She thought to herself "this girl, she seems a bit off. Maybe it would be best to avoid her," Sakura saw her gloves. "Your shirt and pants really match those. You could use some long black socks, though." Sakura said truthfully, looking for an opportunity to get away. She thought, then asked, "Can you help me find this one boy, the one with blond hair, and tinted glasses?"

Adrian grinned, his mood lifting a bit as she accepted his offer. "Sure, let's go." He muttered, walking towards the exits, out into the sunshine. He squinted for a moment, his eyes adjusting to the sunlight, before continuing to walk, making sure not to walk faster than Charlotte, so that he was almost right next to each other. He looked towards the exit to the school ground, and tried to remember where that coffee shop he'd gone to once, with the amazing coffee, was.
As he remembered the directions to the shop, he turned his head to face Charlotte, and was on the verge of asking what had been wrong, but decided against it. He'd leave it be for now. Instead he merely looked ahead, making sure he didn't walk into anything, and thought about stuff, like what was really wrong with Charlotte, or how he was going to get around the immense pain that came with his powers.

Charlotte waited for Adrian to pass by and then followed him, keeping quiet as they walked down the hall and out into the school-yard. As Fumore had said, all traces of destruction from the Nightmare attack had completely vanished and everyone was back outside enjoying their lunch as if nothing had happened. Charlotte found herself wondering if they remembered the world warping and the spiders, or if they all just forgot as soon as it was over or if they simply assumed it was nothing but a dream, even if that's what it technically was anyway.

Was it even real to begin with? Charlotte found herself wondering, every rational part of her brain trying to ignore the event while ever other part unable to forget about it. Well, if I have gone crazy then I guess I'll just have to live with it for now. And if not... She paused, wondering just what was in store for her and the rest when the Knightmare seven finally arrived ...I'll worry about that later. She told herself, directing her thoughts back to keeping up with Adrian, who seemed caught up in his own thoughts.

"You worried?" She asked, less out of concern and more for the sake of breaking the silence "This is a bit much to dump on a group of teenagers."

There's a point, why aren't I more worried? Charlotte wondered.

Adrian turned, sighing, as Charlotte asked him if he was worried. If he was honest, he was quite worried, but more worried about Charlotte for the fact that she didn't seem worried, and in fact seemed, if not confident, then at least calm. I guess that's just who she is. He thought as he answered he question.
"Nah." He said, trying to sound a bit confident, though he was unsure he pulled it off. "We've got Mr Fumore with us, and he seems to know what he's doing." Adrian pointed out, despite being doubtful of Fumore. He had done alright by himself so far, but he didn't do so well during the last fight. And if the knightmares were any bit as strong as Fumore said they were, then...well... We're f***ed.
He tried not to let his last thought affect his demeanour, and kept smiling as they walked down the street, heading towards the Coffee shop.

Sakura had asked about how long Nancy was folowing her, and about some boy, and described his appearance, Nancy thought about it for a moment, and saw a kid similar to him at Fumore's Lecture, but did not see the glasses, She the said "If I had my guess... I really don't know, Training Maybe?..." She giggled as she could sense someone to the side. She turned a little to look at who approached, and it was another kid, one that she recognized at the lecture earlier, She then giggled and said in a low tone after looking around and clarifying that nobody was around "If I had my guess..." Nancy's eyes turned red as she said that and glared back at Sakura "You're looking to train your abilities, but need someone to train with... How about me?"

(> If you accept to be my training partner, Be warned, I will give you a training from hell <)

"Tarin, with you? But, then i would have to beat you, just to heal you, resluting in a paradox. That, and the fact that Im looking for that one boy, but, sure, ill accept. Just give me a bit of time to find him." She took her hair out of the pony tail, and asked Nancy, "Since you have been here longer, would you mind telling me where i could find some knifes? I guess throwing them is my ability, but I would have to smuggle them. Considering Fumore trusts us not t kill each other with super powers, I guess he would be fine with me armed. All of you have a power to attack accept me." With that, she began to walk ver to the boy that had been watching them.

Claude had been watching the two girls have their discussion, at first anyways. But he wasn't particularly interested and had lifted his gaze to the sky instead, studying the clouds as they floated by. He turned his gaze back downward though, as he heard footsteps coming toward him. It was one of the girls that had been talking; the one with pink hair (how absurd, Claude remarked mentally) and wearing a long-sleeved red shirt with a white skirt. What does she want? he wondered. He'd heard snatches of her and the other girl's conversation, and he was pretty sure they had mentioned training. He'd also picked up on additional snatches of words, "paradox" "knife", "smuggle", "kill", that made him wonder whether they were discussing a training session or something else entirely.

"Umm, can I help you?" he asked the girl; after all, she was clearly there in front of him for a reason, though he wasn't entirely sure what it would be.

Nancy was very pleased at getting a training partner, She could train by herself, but training abilities and such is like a game of dodge ball or maybe a game of Monster Hunter, The more people training with you, The more fun it is. Nancy then said in a low tone to Claude when he said something "Well, we were discussing about Training you see, however, This girl told me that She prefers using Knives... Oh and We were considering if Fumore would trust us not to kill each other... and She thinks she has to Try to injure me and heal me afterward, Thinking it would make a Paradox or something...". Nancy then looked back at Sakura and remembered one important detail, She then asked both Sakura and Claude "I believe we never caught each other's names, My name is Nancy Daniels, The School's Resident Otaku... We will get along as long as you don't touch me with your hands..." She giggled as she waited for Sakura and Claude to reply with their names...

Lukas, after hearing lots of shaking from above him, decided that he was finished training.. He took up a stance, then blasted himself offf of the ground, and opened a hole above him. He blasted farther into the open air then he had expected to. He was pummeting at a speed that would kill any other man. " Man, I survived a giant spider attack, but- oh wait!" He changed the density of the dirt below so that it absorbed his impact. He landed wiith THUD-CRACK! A blast wave of dust spread over the playground. "Oaaa!" Lukas moaned, in serious pain. "I think my arms fractured!" He arresed the arm carefully, it hurting more than when he had fallen of the slide. He looked around. He saw the healing girl, and immediately though'Oh, this'll show me. I now believe in Karma.' He was glad that she was there, though. Hopefully, they notice him. If not, nthen they wear deaf or blind, like he was now. He scrambled his hand around, looking for his glasses, but all he found was plastic and smashed glass.

Jason slipped out the room quickly after being dismissed, nearly late for a prior engagement already. Walking quickly away from the school, he went the couple of blocks to get to the coffee shop he worked at. Jason walked in via the back entrance, and grabbed his work shirt out of his locker at the back. A fairly simple shirt, it was a plain black polo shirt with the name written on the back of it and as a small badge around the right of his chest. Walking out into the main part of the cafe just in time to start, he took over the coffee machine and the counter from Luke, the owner and manager of the shop and Jason's boss. With a slight nod to Jason as he left, Luke walked out to the back, probably to get changed out of his version of the polo shirt, one that actually said manager on the back beneath the logo. Jason looked out at the shop, already starting to fill with customers for the lunch rush, and focused his power on the coffee machine in front of him, figuring out the location of all the metal in it just as a simple way to start training his powers up, all the while using the machine to serve those customers who wanted a coffee.

Charlotte fell silent as Adrian answered, noting that he didn't seem to entirely believe it himself. She didn't blame him if he was wary of Fumore though, being a 600 year old knight was bad enough but dragging a group of teenagers into his little war game didn't sound like the most ethically sound thing to do. She tried not to think too deeply into it, having plenty to think about already.

"If you say so," she muttered in reply, looking up as she spotted the coffee shop Adrian had mentioned, finding it slightly ironic that their first act after battling a group of nightmares in some kind of dream world was to go and get some coffee

Claude blinked, slightly surprised when Nancy came over as well. She then told him that she and the other girl were going off for training, which he'd suspected after overhearing their conversation. She then introduced herself, adding in that she was the resident otaku. Claude smiled a little at that. After fiddling a bit with his hat, he said, " Nice meeting you, Nancy. I'm Claude. Claude Rinno. As I said, it's a pleasure. In regards to the training, if you don't mind, I'd like to join you. A little extra practice with our abilities won't hurt and it could make a difference in the coming days."
