Garden Of Dreams [IC/PG-13/Started Accepting]

Recommended Posts

It had all gone very quickly. One second Fumore was telling her it wasn't a dream at all and that she would have powers she'd dreamt of and the next he was there, in armour. She lost track of what was going on for a little bit but when she came to again the spiders were dead. "This day is so s***" she muttered, walking over to one of the dead spiders and stomped on it. "I've had worse though" she added, flipped her hair a bit and turned around.

"And about those powers you spoke of earlier, I definitely don't have one. I've never dreamt of being able to do something like that" she nodded towards Fumore at the last part. She couldn't dress herself in armour in a second by magic, she couldn't spit fire, fly or lift a truck with one hand. "I never had any dreams like that, so you must be mistaken" she simply stated, sounding a little bit annoyed but it wasn't directed at him. It was directed at this whole day, her whole life really. She sighed "I must be cursed or something..." she muttered.

The onslaught of voices continued in Charlotte's head until one she recognized came through, Adrian's. She looked up but it didn't appear that he'd spoken out loud but he did seem to be experiencing the same pain in his hand as she was.

Well this is just crazy, she thought, wondering if anybody else in the little psychic chatroom would pick that up.

"Oh thank goodness your all Okay," The voice spoke again, trying to explain what was happening and something about dreams.

"Dreams?" Charlotte muttered to herself.

She looked up to find Adrian crouching down next to her, she took the hand offered to her and got to her feet, looking through the window on the door at the spiders out in the hall.

"I guess we're just gonna have to fight our way through these things then," she muttered, clenching both hands into fists.

She paused for a moment, running through what the voice had told her in her head, it was a lot to take in and even harder to believe, though given the situation they where in it didn't seem like all that much of a strech.

This had better work, Charlotte thought to herself, holding her arm out in front of her.

On que a burst of flame shot across her palm, vanishing almost as soon as it came and leaving a strange dagger-like weapon in its wake. Charlotte gripped the hilt of her weapon, holding it up for a moment to examine it. At that moment the sound of breaking glass caught her attention and she turned to find a thin spider leg breaking through the door's window, the rest of the creature trying in vain to fit its massive body through the tiny slot. Charlotte swung her weapon through the air, the blade flying from the handle on the end of a long metal cord and slicing the leg clean off, causing the spider to retreat. The weapon retraced back into its handle with a sound like steel cable before settling back into its dagger form.

"This is weird," Charlotte noted "Don't think I'm complaining thought."

Adrian watched with astonishment as Charlotte summoned a dagger to her hand, seemingly from a ball of fire she'd created. What was more astonishing was when the dagger changed into some kind of bladed whip, slicing clean through the leg of one of the invading spiders.
"I guess you're right." Adrian agreed, nodding. He sighed and calmed himself, also holding his right hand out in front of him. He grinned a little bit, anticipating his attack, before releasing what seemed to be pure power down his arm.

"ARGH!"

Adrian collapsed to the floor, holding his arm as if it was in excrutiating pain - which it was. He forced his eyes open, watching the spiders smashing more glass, watching as they slowly made an entrance for themselves. Sh*t, Sh*t, Sh*t, Sh*t. Adrian cursed, biting his lip in pain. As he started to taste blood on his tongue, he looked down at his arm to see a terrifying sight. Out from his arm were roughly 30 large spikes, each in a ring of ten going from the largest erupting near his shoulder, some just after his elbow, and ten small ones around his wrist. However, the strange thing was that despite the pain, he felt little drain in energy.
Still biting his lip, he pushed himself up from the ground, holding his right shoulder. He grimaced at the pain but held his arm out once again. "Let's do this." He muttered weakly, as the spikes broke away from his arm, flying towards the spiders and impaling many of them.
Smiling a bit in satisfaction, he turned to look at his presumably injured arm. However, there was not a scar. He touched his lip where he'd bitten it. Nothing. Still shocked slightly, he turned to Charlotte and muttered "Well done," Before closing his eyes, listening for the sound of more approaching spiders.

So, it seems I have some sort of power I dreamed up, eh? Seems a little too much like something out of a fantasy, but if it can keep me alive, fine by me! Claude got to his feet and opened the door, stepping back out into the hall still infested with those spiders. "So now, I guess I just need to figure out how to use this power, huh?"

Raising his right hand out in front of him, he concentrated, trying to draw forth whatever sort of power he possessed to the surface. At first, nothing happened. Then a spiral of energy erupted around him, encircling Claude with a ring of blue flames. When the flames died down, Cluade's appearance had undergone a total makeover. His hair was now white, while his outfit had become a red and black striped shirt with frills about the collar, alongside black pants and matching shoes. He clenched his hand experimentally. Good. His body still worked the same.

"Alright, seems it's time to dish out some beatdown, then," he remarked and floated forward. Floated? Looking down, he realized his feet were hovering about a foot off the ground. Levitation? This was getting better and better. He wasn't quite sure how he did it, but his body seemed to move on instinct, flying forward toward the nearest group of spiders and knocking them flying with a single, hard punch. More of them were gathering though, and Claude knew if he just charged them, they'd be all over him within seconds. He needed a weapon or some sort of..."Whoa!"

To his surprise, he'd unclenched his hand and a swarm of blue beams of energy had erupted from his sleeves, exploding against the spiders massed before him. A slow grin came to Claude's face, and he made a shooting motion with a finger gun. Sure enough, more tendrils of energy shot forth, annihilating even more of the spiders.

"All right," he said with a small smirk, "I think I could really get used to this sort of thing."

"Powers? I never said powers" Fumore told Gabrielle. "I said abilities, which that they may not be noticable. Also like I said, they are based on your dreams, that means it can nightmares as well. If it is that I do apologize." Fumore then walked passed Gabrielle. "Well if your abilities truly didn't awaken then you shouldn't have felt the pain or been in out thelepathic chat. But if you insist, just stay near me. I'll protect you."

Fumore then started walking down the halls. He was more calm now that he knew the students could take care of themselves. "Alright Gabrielle, I know I'm protecting you, but try to figure out you abilities. The more people with abilities, the easier we can defend the students." Fumore leaned against a wall, he looked over a corner, only to find that there was a swarm of cat sized spiders. "Stay here" Fumore told Gabrielle. He then took the corner put his shield in front of him. "Steam Wave!" Once again steam rushed out of Fumore's shield cooking the spiders alive. "Alright its clear" Fumore stated.

Concentio and the other students were still fending of the spiders. "I haven't had dreams of any abilities, I have dreams about playing instruments, and talking, but never of any abilities." he thought. At that moment the snowflake on Concentio's palm started to glow. Colorful music notes started circle around him. His body started glow. When the glowing stopped, he had completly tranformed. He appearance was more elf-ish. His clothes also transformed, it looked like he belonged in a marching band. He was also now holding a rapier, that resembled a conductor's baton. "What the heck" Concentio said. "Wait i can tallk!" Concentio was surprised, he never thought that he would be able to speak. All the other students were surprised as well. Not only because he could talk, but because of the transformation he went through.

Concentio climbed over the barracade they had formed, only to find himself surrounded by 3 mini van-sized spiders. "Crap!" he yelled, taking advantage that he could talk. "What do I do, what do I do." Concentio was panicking, but the got a wild idea. He drew 8 music notes in the air, which were a variety of colors. The moment that they were drawn music started to play. Whether he kknew it or not, he had activated one of his songs, The Song of Flight.

He started to float, well to be more exact fly. "What I can fly too. This is awesome. He didn't hesitate, he flew right above one of the spider and came down like a meteorite. Stabbing the spider with his rapier. "One down, two to go." His celebration was cut short, one of the other spiders had shot a string of web, which hit Concentio's back. "s***" he yealled. The spider began to pull him in, nothing that Concentio could do was going to help. Within seconds the spider's fangs were right above Concentio's head. He closed his eyes thinking he was about to die, only to hear a chair break. He opened his eyes only to see the other students were flying as well. He took that chance to stab his rapier through the spider. "Alright guys. I apreciate the save, but how are you guys flying." There was no time to talk the third spider had grabbed a student. It didn't have time to really do much, as it was quickly attacked by a barrage of chairs. Before it could really recover Concentio managed to fly above the spider and kill it the same way it killed the first.

"Well, I guess we did it." Conentio said as he flew up high, being joined by the other students. At that moment Concentio noticed that only one of the eight music notes he drew were still there. "What th-" he was cut short as the last music note dissapeared, making him and the other students fall to the ground. "You all okay" a student asked.

"Yeah, my head broke my fall" Concentio responded. Now that he could talk he wanted to make jokes he previously couldn't.

"Powers, abilities, whatever. It's all the same isn't it?" she asked rhetorically, throwing her hands up in the air a bit as she was walking on after Fumore. "nightmares..?" she mumbled shortly after Fumore had stopped speaking. She was walking in silence for a little bit, making sure to stay behind Fumore and letting him deal with the spiders. She didn't want to get near those things anyways. Spiders had always scared her, not to the extent of having a phobia but they definitely made her freeze up and she hated them with all her guts.

Spiders, she hated spiders! "OH MY GOD PLEASE TELL ME MY POWER DOES NOT HAVE TO DO WITH SPIDERS!" she yelled out as she realized this may just be the case as spiders were frequently parts of her nightmares. She took a second to look herself over a bit and then copying spiderman trying to shoot web out of her wrist, causing her to look silly as nothing happened.

She fell silent for a little while and tried again to then sigh and looking exasperated. "Well, there goes that theory" she sighed, not really sure if she was disappointed or relieved. Having an ability like that would definitely freak her out!

"Well, I may not have any magical fantastical powers but I'm not going to become some damn damsel in distress" she muttered, digging through her purse and getting her taser out, pressing the button a couple of times to make sure it was functioning alright.

"DON'T YOU TRY TO SNEAK UP ON ME YOU EIGHT LEGGED FREAK!" She shrieked, shoving the taser in between the many eyes of a spider the size of a cat that had crept up on her from behind. The spider was jerking and it shrieked as the electrical shocks surged through it's body. Gabrielle didn't release the button until the Spider had stopped shrieking and was giving off a sizzling sound.

She gave a small flip of her hair as she turned around and faced Fumore, giving the taser a theatrical blow as if she was a cowboy from a film, even smirking a little. "I f***ing hate spiders" she thought to herself, shivering a little at the thought of the disgusting creature.

Jason heard the other students asking more questions same as he had first tried to, but ignored the rest of them after Fumore's explination, focussing on what he had said. "Powers that we dreamed of eh, interesting concept, I wonder if that refers to my dreams of manipulating metal. I guess that would explain the dagger hovering just after I got that wierd snowflake mark on my hand." Jason turned around to look at the right wall he had been following through the corridors, or more specifically, the horizontal indent he had made along it with his dagger. "Just as well i made a way for me to find my way back into an area I recognise, I wonder if there's anyone left at the cafeteria now."

Jason followed the indent along the wall, searching out with his mind as he did to try and identify any metal in the area around him. "I can feel any yet, other than my dagger, but i'm not entirely sure this corridor is a legitimate part of the school, it might just be something that's appeared out of the same place the spiders did." Still walking on, he started to feel some metal up ahead, only to realise that his indent ended in a large wall with three mini-van sized spiders crawling on it, and that the metal he could feel was on the other side of it. "More spiders, just great. At least I can test out these new abilities now." Using his mind and his left hand, he reached out to the other side of the wall in front of him as the spiders crawled down it, hopping off at the bottom.

Still rather unexpectedly, even though it was what he was trying to do, various small metal items broke through the wall, letting him see a large mass of them come together around his hand. Performing a sort of twirling action with his hand, the metal came free and started to spin around it, before he directed his hand down at the slowly advancing spiders, and directed the metal into the first one. That metal flew out of his hand, and embedded itself in the body of the first spider. Taking advantage of the spider's distraction, he ran forward, modifiying his dagger into a less dense metal so he could lengthen it into the shape of a sword, and jumped onto the spider's back where he stabbed it, killing it. Underneath him, the spider started to vanish into fading shadows, causing him to fall through them along with the metal items that had fallen out of it's body when it vanished. Looking around at the remaining spiders with the large amount of metal around him, he yelled one thing to them, "Who wants to fight me next."

Nancy looked ahead and Charged at the 8 spiders, She slashed with her claws, Killing several spiders before running away from the area, There were too few Spiders in that area to really let loose her powers, She felt that she had more she could use from her powers. She jumped and flipped as her eyes glowed red, Causing 2 hands to descend from the ceiling and grab her feet(Which did not trigger her Haphephobia), allowing herself to walk on the ceiling as long as her eyes kept glowing red, after a few minutes of walking on the ceiling, She could see Fumore and Gabrielle, Nancy had listened to Fumore's lecture about the dreams granting abilities, then she sighed and walked toward the two, saying "Fumore also seemed to forget to say, The dream that governs what you get in terms of abilities does not have to be about you using that ability, or a nightmare... It could be of you coming to terms with your own fear... Or at least that's how I see it..." Nancy giggled as she flipped and floated to the ground, her eyes still glowing red, because she could feel presences of spiders...

Fumore told Ashe to start killing the nightmares. He then proceeded down the hall, leaving Ashe smiling to himself. Ashe drew his broad sword and went after some spiders. He swung his sword left and right, killing the spiders. Despite the size of the sword, Ashe could wield the sword with ease. More spiders started coming after him. He quickly killed them off, but more were coming. Ashe slashed and stabbed at the mass of spiders coming after him. "This is getting me no where," he said. He cut down the spiders in front of him with a single slash and quickly sheathed his sword. Ashe snapped his fingers and a couple fireballs went flying into the mass of spiders. Several of the spiders went up into flames. The hall was filled with the sounds of spiders screeching and the crackle of the flames. Ashe kept snapping his fingers and sending fireballs at the spiders. The spiders kept screeching in pain until they died. The hall was filled with the burning carcasses of spiders. Ashe made flames subside so the building wouldn't catch on fire. He looked at his gloved right hand. Should I use my hand's power to deal with these nightmares or not? Ashe shook his head. It's too dangerous. It could kill me and everyone here.

Charlotte examined her new weapon for a moment, turning it over in her hand. She'd never seen a weapon like it before in her life and yet it felt so familiar to her, as if she'd been using it her entire life.

Well I'm not sure where this thing came from, she thought I guess this'll be those powers that guy was talking about.

She stole a glance at the broken door where more spiders seemed to be attempting to climb through, scratching at the edged to make the hole wider. Charlotte raised her weapon again, waiting for the next one to poke its ugly head through the door. A sudden cry of pain from Adrian caught her attention and she turned to see what was wrong, a look of shock crossing her face as she saw the sards of bone poking out all along his arm. She glanced warily at her own weapon and back at Adrian's arm. She hung back as Adrian used his bony mutation to take out the spiders crowding around the door, obviously shaken by his own abilities but seeming to recover.

So I get a metal whip and he gets bone powers? She thought, wondering if there was anything else about her abilities she should know.

She glanced through the broken window, checking that the hall was clear before shifting the barracade and stepping out into the hall, checking up and down for any more creatures. She spotted another creature taking up almost the whole corridor at the other end with its back to her, apparently trying to get through a door. Charloote raised her weapon and the blade shot out, crossing the distance of the hall in seconds and piercing straight through the creature's body, the spider emitting a high pitched screech before Charlotte pulled her weapon back, cleaving the creature's body in half as her weapon returned to its retracted state.

"Well, time to find the level boss I guess," she muttered, looking back to Adrian "We should probably try and find some others, I don't think we're gonna last all that long by ourselves."

Adrian looked at the dead bodies of the spiders that had been attacking them, approaching them and looking at his bones, the bones that made up his body, sticking out of their heads or their bodies. He shrugged slightly before moving to follow Charlotte, watching her run through the halls, being right beside her. He was struggling to keep up for most of it, running out of energy, but suddenly had an Idea. Concentrating on his bones, he started to lower their density, practically f*cking up the laws of physics, to make it easier for him to run.
He managed to catch up to Charlotte in time to see her cleave open a giant spider among giant spiders, splitting it in half easily. "Your power seems better than mine." He muttered, looking down at his hands. Hearing Charlotte's Idea to find some other people, he nodded in agreement, looking past the spider towards the rest of the corridor, seeing not a person in sight. He groaned and crouched down. "Doesn't look like there's any one around here." He stated, pressing his hand against the floor. He waited for a few moments, to see if he could detect other people with his powers. "And I can't feel living bone it seems. Or atleast, I hope that's the reason." Adrian added. He'd been able to feel many dead spiders - well, the bones that held them together - but could feel any humans, and no moving creatures. "We should probably get going. I'd say the cafeteria is our best bet."

Flying further down the hall, Claude dodged a charging spider and kicked it aside before grabbing another by the face and flinging it back toward the other spiders behind it. Where's everyone else? he wondered. I doubt I'm the only person still alive. They must have gathered somewhere. Looks like the cafeteria would be my best bet.

With that decision made, Claude kicked off from the wall and flew down the hall once more, firing more beams of energy at any spiders that seemed overly hostile. About halfway to the cafeteria, he glimpsed two others who seemed to be heading the same way. One was a girl wielding a dagger, while the other was a somewhat sickly-looking guy. Huh. Looks like they might have powers, too. It might be safer as a group, so why not join up with them?

As Claude began descending, he caught a flicker of motion from above with the corner of his eye. A rather large spider was right above the two other students, and seemed prepared to strike. Without thinking, Claude fired yet another stream of energy at it, which exploded on impact. The spider's body was destroyed, but various bits of it, an eyeball here, a leg there, still rained down on the two. Floating over, Claude said, with a rather embarrassed expression, "Sorry about that. I wasn't really thinking when I shot the spider. It looked as if I was going to attack so...I kinda just moved on instinct. Are you guys alright?

As soon as Gabrielle finished of a spider with a taser Nancy showed up. She was questioning that her dreams didn't govern their abilities. "That's where your wrong. You see you fears govern your nightmares. Which in terms govern your abilities. So now that I think about it, your half right. But enough of that. By now most of the spiders should be taken care of. But reality is still warped. This means that there going to be a powerful nightmare around here." Fumore turned to Gabrielle. "I'm pretty sure a tazer won't do much against it. Anyways we should get going to the cafeteria. Most of the students were there so we need to make sure they're okay."

The three of them kept walking, killing more spiders in the process. When they got their thay saw many other students, some of them were even some of the Chosen Knights. "Well I guess we are all here. Well introductions can wait, there's a nightmare that not letting reality go back to normal. It's our job to take care of it." At that moment the ground shook, it was hard enough that the walls started to crack. A roar followed soon after. "Well I guess out little friend decided to show itself. Hurry up everyone, outside now."

Charlotte stole a glance over her shoulder as Adrian caught up with her.

"I'm not so sure, to be honest," she said in reply to his comment "I'm having a hard time believing all I got was some metal whip thing."

Sure enough there was a slight nagging at the back of Charlotte's mind, like trying to remember something you knew you should be able to remember with ease and yet you could never find the answer. She decided not the dwell on that, the best solution was always to just leave it be and hope it came by itself so there was no reason that shouldn't work here. She nodded at Adrian's suggestion to head to the cafeteria, knowing its where most of the students would have been and presumably where most of the spider creatures would be heading to.

Before she could make a move she heard a whooshing sound above her which was quickly followed by a shower of spider guts. She glanced up, a look of annoyance on her face, to spot another boy walking...Wait, no...<i>Floating</i> towards them, apparently having fired the energy blast at the spider above them.

Oh, and now we have friggin' Goku, Charlotte resisted the urge to roll her eyes These powers are about as consistent as a weed garden.

"Never been better," Charlotte replied sarcastically "I've only been attacked by giant mutant spiders and found out I'm the last son of friggin' Krypton or something, just another boring day at school is all."

She took a moment to examine the rest of the hallway, noting that there didn't seem to be any more spiders nearby and calmly banishing her weapon with another wave of fire. No sooner had she done so that the hall shook violentally, dislodging some of the cieling tiles and was followed by a deep roar that seemed to echo around the school.

"Ah..." Charlotte muttered as if it where the most ordinary thing in the world "That'll be the level boss."

Gabrielle walked mostly in silence on their way to the cafeteria, pondering over what abilities that had awoken inside of her. The whole thing seemed a bit ridiculous and she was still kind of doubting that any of this was real. She left the killing of spiders mostly to Fumore and Nancy but she did have to fend off a few that got close to her with her taser.

"Well my one other nightmare has been causing the death of the ones I love..." Gabrielle thought to herself, furrowing her brow a bit as she was walking along. "Well, I didn't need an ability for that nightmare to come true.. and if that was my power it wouldn't do anyone any good" she argued on in her mind, "could it truly be that I have no power?"

They didn't stay in the cafeteria for long until they heard a roar that shook the ground. "What could possibly cause something like that to happen?" she gasped looking out, but not seeing anything. Fumore had urged all of them to get outside, but Gabrielle wasn't so sure. Weren't they safer inside?

Adrian shrugged at Charlotte's point. "But yours doesn't cripple you when you use it." Adrian pointed out as they walked. They had barely walked a few metres when a wave of slime rained down upon them. Waving his arms about madly, trying to throw the spider innards off of him before it affect his already weak immune system, he turned around to see what he would normally call an incredibly odd sight - although today he'd probably rate his bones shooting out of his hands to be the most.
Anyway, approaching them was a guy in a red and black striped shirt. Of course, that wasn't the weird part. The weird part was that he was hovering 2 foot in the air. Shaking his head a bit, Adrian grinned and rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "It's alright. It's better than being eaten, right." He joked, laughing nervously. He turned and nodded towards the end of the corridor. "We're heading to the Cafeteria. Wanna tag along?" He asked.

Ashe was walking down the hallway, looking for spiders to kill. He would kill a spider every couple of meters. Then, he heard an ear-splitting roar. It echoed down the hall Ashe was standing in. "What the hell was that?!" he yelled. Several cracks appeared on the floor and walls. Whatever made that roar,it sure is big. Ashe ran down the halls, checking to see if there was any more damage from the roar. When he turned a corner, a huge mini-van sized spider was standing there. "Oh, s***." Black lightning started to surround his hand. The spider let out a screech and charged at him. Ashe wound up and punched the spider square in the face. The spider shot down the hall. It crashed into the wall, creating several more cracks along the wall. A combination of fear and excitement came across his. Ashe started laughing and said "Holy f***, that was awesome!" He ran down the hallways and made his way towards the cafeteria, where he thought everyone was gonna gather and to check on the students there.

Jason was watching the spider on each side of him, waiting for them to make the first move. He wasn't expecting them to both vanish into black shadows that quickly dispersed as a rumbling sound echoed through the hallways, further damaging the already damaged wall in front of him.

Somewhat relieved that the spiders had vanished, he looked at the wall in front of him, analyzing where he would have to hit to force it open. Then, using his newfound metal powers to control the smaller metal objects around him to form a sort of doorframe shape, he pushed them forward, shoving them into the damaged wall with a greater amount of force from when he had first pulled them through to him. Although that still didn't succeed in breaking the damaged wall, it pretty well destroyed its structural integrity, making it an easy matter to just shoulder barge through the wall, emerging out in front of the cafeteria entrance.

Claude smiled slighlty at the girl's sarcasm. "Well, if you still have the energy to speak with that sort of cynicism, I'd say you're perfectly fine." The sickly-looking guy then offered for Claude to join them. Claude blinked, a little surprised, but then gave a small nod. "If you're willing to have me along, then yes, I'd like to join your group."

Concentrating for a moment, he willed himself to stop levitating. After a moment or two, whatever power had kept him afloat ceased functioning and he landed on the ground. Dusting himself off, he straightened. "I seem to have forgotten to introduce myself. My name is Claude Rinno," he said and gave a short bow. He was about to ask for their names, but an instant later, the ground shook violently. A horrible roar echoed through the halls a moment later. "Oh, goody. Looks like the real boss is gonna break loose. Like we haven't had enough danger to last a lifetime," Claude remarked dryly.

Nancy Heard the roar and felt the ground shook, She could also see the walls crack, Nancy then said "Well Well, I can feel the big bad coming... Why not let me have a whirl at it? I'm getting quite bored of the small fry" she then giggled, She knew that she had a trump card up her sleeve because of that second part of the dream, but she cannot perform it, mainly because in that dream, Everyone around her had died, not due to her powers, but the price of it. Nancy then looked ahead and walked out of the door to look around not only for more students to bring back to the cafeteria, but for the nightmare mentioned by Fumore, Anything said to her about the Nightmare being powerful will be met with a scoff and a face-palm...

Casey started to wonder aimlessly inside the school, trying to find Fumore, and killing multitudes of spiders while she was at it. However, for every time she cast a spell, the pain in her munted right arm would only further amplify from its already colossal amount, well past the point where it was beyond unbearable. Even worse, the poison inside Casey was starting to settle inside her. She had to press on though; it was either suffer through the torment or lose her life, the former being the lesser of two evils.

Focusing hard on Fumore had strangely caused Casey to teleport right next to him. While there, she also saw a female teacher, as well as that girl she saw before when she spat at that dumbass jock. She paid no attention to either of them, and instead wanted to deliver the grim news to Fumore, starting with showing him what had happened to her arm.

"I'm afraid I've got bad news; I don't think I can fight any more," Casey informed him, "I've been badly hurt when my right hand exploded from out of nowhere, and using my abilities is only amplifying the pain. It even hurts now as we speak."

From what could be seen it was just as painful looking at it and examining it. The skin was only visible around the shoulder; from there flesh and sinew could be seen down to about where the elbow joint began, where it started to thin out, but from there onwards was nothing but bone. The ulna and radius of the arm were also bent at a 40[sup]o[/sup] angle somewhere down the length of the arm. Casey tried to get the image out of her head, but all she could do blink erratically.

In between a certain blink, however, her eyes were no longer seen to be blue and green, and had changed colour in a moment's notice. Her right eye had become lilac purple, the iris of her left turned blood red. Not only that, but the pupil had completely changed colour and shape as well, being poison green in colour and expanding vertically to make for the appearance of a reptile's. Casey was aware of neither of these changes, but she noted that the colour of her skin was slowly changing colour as well, and was panicking her way into a possible explanation.

"My skin!" Casey exclaimed, before she remembered something, "Those spiders. One of them was biting into me. Do you think that...? Oh god... Don't tell me it's managed to poison me this whole time!"

Fumore looked at Casey, his eyes widended at the scene he saw. "If you can't fight anymore than don't." He then turned to face the rest of the chosen knights there. "I forgot to mention, reality warps when a nightmare come into the real world. Any damage to building gets fixed, any wounds a person takes get healed, and any memories of the ocurrence get erased when the nightmare is vanquisehed. The last part is for only those that have no awakened abilities. Either way as I was saying, as long as you don't die, it will be like nothing happened. In fact you will be sent back to the moment before the nightmare arrived." He then turned to Casey again. "So just don't die and you'lll be fine." At that moment a raor echoed through the school once again. "Alright all thos who can fight, outside. All those who can't stay here and protect the students and staff. Also, if any more chosen knights appear tell them to go outside. They should be able to the battle, so they won't need directions."

Fumore then stepped out of the cafeteria, followed by Concentio and some of the chosen knight. As they exited the door, they saw what was causing the roar. Predictably it was a giant spider. It was taller than a 3 story building, its legs were covered in spikes, its abdomen had three large spikes. "This thing is giant." Concentio said.

"Really, I've seen bigger." Fumore responded. "But size isn't everything." At that moment the spider shot web from its mouth hitting Fumore in the chest knocking him back breaking through the cafeteria wall. The web moved too quickly for Fumore to dodge. The was a second part to the web, as soon as Fumore stood up he fell to his knees crying. Electricity could be seen running through the light blue colored webs. It was so strong that Fumore couldn't do anything, the electrified web was paralyzing him with extreme pain. He couldn't even talk.

Charlotte stepped up to the nearest window and looked outside into the school-yard, her eyes widening in both shock and terror as she beheld the behemoth taking its stance outside, a spider far larger than any they'd encountered so far and just as ugly when you could see its features in such detail. Charlotte took a step back from the window, her sense of self preservation suddenly overriding her desire to fight. As she watched the spider spat a line of webbing from its mandibles, apparently hitting something as Charlotte felt the ground shake a little, a short while later blue sparks ran along the webbing, apparently electricuting whoever was on the other end.

"I'd hate to be the poor bastard on the recieving on of that," she muttered.

She tore her gaze away from the window and looked over at Adrian and Claude, wondering if they where seeing this as well, it was certainly hard to miss.

"C'mon then. We should get going." Adrian advised, starting to move down the corridor. The roaring had been increasing in volume, meaning they must have be getting closer. This was proven when Adrian exited into a corridor with many spider's corpses kill by other's hands, and a door at the end of the corridor. One label Cafeteria.

"We're here." Adrian shouted backwards, before heading towards the door. When he entered he could see many people, most seemingly normal, huddling together, terrified. He was about to run over to them, when another large thud sounded, from outside. The wall had cracked once again, this time forming a giant hole through which Fumore was catapult, entangled in a giant web. He thudded against the opposite wall, ensiting screams from some students. He was trapped in what could be described as a steel like web, which now had hundreds of volts charging through it.

"No-one touch the web!" Adrian shouted, basically telling people to not help Fumore. He hated saying it, but they needed to defeat the spider to free Fumore.
Adrian moved in front of Fumore, being careful not to touch the web. I wonder.... Adrian mused, sensing a multitude of bones under the school. "You, spider! You're friends dont seem to like you any more." He shouted, pounding his fist to the floor. To his surprise, it was painless as the hundreds of bones erupted from the floor, melding together. He quickly combined the bones, with his mind, to create a giant spider skeleton, about three quarters the size of the nightmare. I'll need someone's help. I cant attack and control this skeleton. He noted, a bead of sweat rolling down his face as his skeletal spider charged.

Ashe heard a second roar on his way to the cafeteria. "Better hurry," he said. He passed by a window and looked through it. Ashe saw a giant spider. He scanned the surrounding area and saw Fumore trapped in webbing and one of the students create a bone spider. Ashe punched the window and jumped through it. It'll get fixed anyway. He unchained his sword and leaned it up against the wall. He through off his coat and reattached his sword to his back. Ashe ran over to the students. "Before any of you say anything, I'm just like you. I have abilities as well," Ashe told the students. He drew his sword and said, "You know when I told you that this sword is blunted? Well, it's not." Ashe took a stance with his sword and continued, "You are just learning about your powers and the best way to hone them is through battle and such like that. That's how I learned to use mine, but I had Fumore teaching me. There are innocent people here and you are inexperienced. Just use your powers to watch my back. Okay." The last part wasn't a question, it was a statement.
