Pichu
I swear to god... I'm I the only who's fed up with this girl? She can't rap, her lyrics sound like a girl scatting for entertainment, and she's so annoying! And her songs... I can't stand Super Bass nor Starships. And again with her lyrics; they suck. "You a stupid hoe, you a stupid hoe. x4" -Stupid Hoe by Nicki Minaj V.S. "There nothing you can say, nothing you can do. There's no other way when it comes to the truth, so keep holding on, cause you know we'll make it through, make it through." -Keep Holding On by Avril Lavigne --- "Cause I know he's got a wife at home, but I just need one night alone. If you keep playing those same old games, I'm a runaway." Va Va Voom by Nicki Minaj V.S. "Gonna make a change, for once in my life. It's gonna feel real good. Gonna make a difference, gonna make it right..." -Man in the Mirrior by Michael Jackson --- "We're higher than a mother f____" -Starships by Nicki Minaj V.S. "So if by the time the bar closes and you feel like falling down, I'll carry you home tonight." -We Are Young by fun. Guess which songs are better. Discuss here. ~ P O L A R I S ~
Avril Lavigne is just as bad and Michael Jackson's merits aren't in his lyrics. As for Nicki Minaj, I really want to believe she has some sort of redeeming feature. Maybe the crazy vibrant colors in some of her videos, they're pretty fun. Twig
I'm iffy about Nicki. Though I liked Fly, Superbass, Moment 4 Life, and Right Through Me, I hate her newer songs (Beez in a Trap, Stupid Hoe, Va Va Voom, etc). Also, lyrics aren't everything. "......" -Mozart vs "insert song with lyrics here* Some songs are just for the beat while some artists manage to blend singing and beat well together. But yeah, I agree that some of her songs are just bleah.
Archbaron Larry
I also cannot stand this b**ch. Every time I hear Starships, I feel like either crying in a corner or just flat out killing myself or the person nearest to me. \ I mean seriously, her voice is so damn high-pitched in that song that it makes your eardrums want to explode. But anyway, her efforts in that one Lonely Island song are reasonable. That's pretty much it.
Rapidfire
Well I am iffy as well. Just cuz I like superbass, and she actually has a good voice when she SINGS. Personally I am not a rap fan at all...

.Rai
Her problem is that had she stuck to her pure-ish rougher rapping, she'd actually be a decent rap artist. But, nooo, she has to add random quirks to her voice, with a faux cockney accent at times, or just make every word sound weird. Even if she has any rapping skills, she's masking it in ridiculous marketing features. Oh, not to mention her recent ventures into mainstream pop. She's not even good at that stuff, cite the autotune.
The Amazing Avian
I consider the song Superbass (if I can call it a song) to be an insult to my instrument of choice. I agree her voice is decent without autotune, but the fact that she doesn't use her natural voice makes her just another force fed mainstream pop star that will be forgotten within a year. Akeno_Ederis_17
*Blink* I think nicki's voice are good, which really suits her style. Her songs could be awesome, in terms of beat, rhythm and style, BUT; They are nonsense,And other people likes those songs because of the beat. Super Bass is like Baby from J.B. , both of them have st*p*d chorus which people really appreciated and was used as soundtracks on dance presentations nowadays. Her videos are like p*rn movies with music, she always dresses as a **ore, which is a really bad style, as kids, really like her songs, because it's very easy to memorize and dance with. Bottom line: we get 10 or more "artist" like them, I would rather face zombie apocalypse.

tallman95
I honestly think that she can sing a decent ballad. The only one of her songs that didn't piss me off was Moment 4 life because she didn't try too hard. In songs like Super Bass she's trying too hard to add weird quirks into her voice. Moment 4 Life is the only one that sounds genuine.
FindingTheEverlight
Out of all the artists[citation needed] that are associated with or signed by Lil Wayne, she has to be the most decent out of all of them. She can sing pretty well, her rapping is decent and she's an overall good person with the charity work stage does. She actually has talent unlike Lol Wayne, Waka Flaka Flame or Drake ( actually Drake is a good singer, but a horrendous rapper).
Durandamon
I just hate her. It doesn't sound as if she actually studied singing, and I can guarantee that she didn't. Those lyrics...ugh. Especially between metal and rap. When metal is focused on evoking images powerfully, rap lyrics are just a medium to show off the skill of the rapper. For instance, take Roman Holiday from Nicki. Actually probably one of most decent songs, only because she showcases a lot of her rapping skill in it. Her rapping is actually rawer than a lot of her poppy songs. She doesn't coat her vocals in autotune (although she puts on an awful cockney accent), and it's actually a pretty good indication of her rapping skills. The reason Beez in the Trap is bad is not because of the actual content of the lyrics, it's mainly because they're near skill-less to pull off. Not to mention the entire song is gimmicky. I think she's heavily hated by a lot of people, mainly because, yes, she has a lot of bad songs. However, so many of her better songs are neglected because of this. She's divided her audience with club anthems and mixtape stuff, and half her songs aren't gonna be listened to really. The best way to check where she's going in regards to her rapping skills is to see whether she brings out a new mixtape. If she does, and it's decent, people have no reason to hate her really. John A. Zoidberg
Not a fan of that style of rap, especially when she's not that great of a wordsmith, which is kind of one of the most defining qualities of rap/hiphop. That being said, there are plenty of rappers that I enjoy AND have good, deep, thought evoking imagery in their lyrical themes. A good example would be Cannibal Ox's (technically that's two rappers, but you get the picture) song, "Pigeon."
