Leon was too inmerse into the book, that he didn't realize Amber was struggling to get her googles off, so he was startled when he heard her voice - [color=#800080]"Sorry, sweetie. I forgot about your googles."[/color] - When Amber tried to sit, Leon left the book on the ground to help her - [color=#800080]"I'm okay, I can stay awake. What do you mean, sore?"[/color] - Leon didn't give it too much importance, and hugged Amber, carefully. - [color=#800080]"It's not your fault...It's my fault for getting 32. Now you just have to..." [/color]- he interrupted himself, seeing that Amber was asleep again - [color=#800080]"...rest. Sigh..."[/color] - Leon laid her again on the bed, and when he was going to cover her with the blankets, he saw that, after turning so many times, Amber's shirt was lifted just below her chest. Leon thought he saw something odd, so he got up and turned the light switch on. He checked on Amber's bare belly, and found a big bruise on her left side, where the ribs begin. -[color=#800080] "Sore...from before? When did she..."[/color] - Leon started remembering the struggle he had with Amber when he was possessed. Still, he couldn't have hit her...right?

Please, sleep well tonight..."[/color] - Leon lowered her shirt, trying not to touch her bruise, and then wrapped her within the blankets. After measuring her temperature once again, just in case, he sat down without his book, just watching over Amber's restless sleep.

It was in the late hours of the night now and Seth had managed to gain a few more pieces for his heart frame, but none seemed to fit his original frame. He had just finished off a Duelist who was standing up, but was seemingly in a zombified state.

[color=#696969]"Yeesss Master.... All Hail the Bacterian Overlord..." [/color]The Drone continued to chant that last phrase over and over as he walked slowly away.

The other two Drones were already on the move. Each of these Brainwashed Duelists carried 1 heart piece each, Solely so that they could legally duel against anyone.

For the rest of the night, Amber wouldn't wake up. Though she would toss a little once in a while, it was to be expected. fortunately her coughing had stopped. She was only coughing due to the fact she had been punched so close to the rib cage. She was lucky, if she had been hit any harder, a rib would have broke and could have possibly punctured her left lung, resulting in a slow and very painful death without medical attention. Amber's new number spoke out to Leon's Numbers.

But I had to do what my former master commanded, after all.. Rob was my holder... But it's still no excuse for me.. What we did to you was cruel and degrading. After Leon refused his challenge, Yuki left the area without burning it down. He decided that Leon's reason for not dueling him is good enough. And now, he is sitting on the Heartland Wall. Saying so, Yuki jumped off the wall and used his wings to stop his fall. [color=#4b0082]"Now then... Let the hunt begin!" [/color][color=#000000]Saying so, he flew through the night, looking for unsuspecting duelists to defeat.[/color]

"I activate my trap card Destrution Jammer, which by discarding a card allows me to negate your very own trap card!" Rai said, and pressed a button on his D-Pad. His facedown card flipped open. "I discard my Geargiaccel, and thus my Heavy Machinery King is protected from your trap!" Then, as Rai sent a card from his hand to the graveyard, Atsuko's device exploded into nothingness before it could fully charge.

He grinned energetically.

"Not bad, Atsuko, not bad! But your parents must be so proud of your personality." He added mockingly. "Even so, although it's nearly midnight, I'm psyched for this duel! I can tell you're a powerful duelist. Now, make your move."

Atsuko drew her card, still wary of her opponent. [color=#ff0000]"Alright, then! First, I'll Normal Summon Magnet Crocodile Zeta in Attack Mode!"[/color] A strange mechanical-looking crocodile with bars instead of limbs appeared in front of the red-headed duelist. (1600 ATK|LV4) [color=#ff0000]"Next, I'll activate Magnet of Greed! This allows me to reveal a Magnet Fusion Monster from my Extra Deck, and if I control one of its Fusion Material Monsters, I can then Tribute that monster to draw 2 cards!"[/color] She reveals Super Electromagnetic Dragon - Magnedragon. [color=#ff0000]"Aww, yeah! Magnet Crocodile Zeta is one of Magnedragon's Fusion Materials, so he can go to my Graveyard so I can get 2 cards!"[/color] The alligator vanishes, and Atsuko draws her cards. [color=#ff0000]"I will now set 3 facedown cards! Come at me, bro!"[/color]

Rai frowned. "But that means you don't control any monsters. What would be the point of that?" He said, but he already knew why. Her three face downs. He had to be cautious of them. "Alright, Atsuko! I activate the effect of my Heavy Machinery King and detach a second Overlay Unit to send the top three cards from your deck to the grave! And hopefully, if I'm lucky I will score three monsters from you and destroy all your face downs!" His monster's effect activated. Unless he could destroy all three facedowns, he wouldn't be attacking. "Then I set another monster, and a card, amd end my turn! Let's see what you got!!!!"

For the rest of the night, Leon wouldn't sleep. He was tired, but he kept an eye on Amber the entire night, just in case.

[color=#800080]"I...see."[/color] - Leon felt a small amount of pain on the back of his hands, and saw something weird when he checked them. One of his hands had the Number 2 for Sonya, burned to his skin. On the other hand, Zebulos's 93 was engraved in the same way. The weird thing was that, even if he still carried Shark Drake, he couldn't see the Number 32 anywhere on his body. Giving this no importance, he just shook his head and kept waiting for the dawn to rise.

Atsuko winced as Magnet Chameleon and Magnet Jammer were among two of the cards discarded, so she activated her Traps. [color=#ff0000]"First, I'll activate Magnet Doll Factory, which allows me to send Magnet Thief Theta to the Graveyard from my Deck to Special Summon Magnet Bang Doll from my Deck in face-up Defense Position!"[/color] A strange tube-shaped mechanism sprouted from the ground, and whirred to life as various parts flew up from deep beneath the earth and assembled within the device. The transparent doors slid open once the creature was completed, and a strange doll-like entity stumbled out to take a defensive stance in front of Atsuko. (1000 DEF|LV3) [color=#ff0000]"My next card is Mystical Space Typhoon, which will destroy your Ultimate Offering!"[/color] A whirling blue vortex crackling with energy issued from the Quick-Play Spell and headed straight for Rai's card.

As Amber rested, She was having a dream, At first everything was dark and seemingly greyscale. She wandered around what seemed to be a city, possibly Heartland City... As she wandered around she realized she was by herself, and not a soul besides herself could be seen.

[i]"H..Hello...?" She asked into the emptiness.[/i]

But then she hears something. Foot steps... They were slow at first, just as her's were... But then they started to be a little off beat, like someone was hobbling towards her. Her heart was starting to race now as she started to walk a little faster, then she heard more footsteps and they were getting louder. Amber had not looked back to see what it was at this point, but when she finally decided to look, there were thousands of people without any sign of life in their eyes, trying to catch up to her with their hands reaching out to grab her, even though they weren't anywhere near close enough to reach her.

[i][b]"A-Ahh!" [/b][/i]She shouted as she turned around and ran away from the mob of what she believed to be zombies. [b]"Stay away from me!"[/b]

As she continued to run, it started to realize that the more she tried to run, the less progress she made.. She was literally running in place.

[i][b]"W..What's going on?"[/b][/i]

Amber looked to back on more time, and she saw that the people chasing her had stopped just beyond arms length. She looked at them in a befuddled fashion. She then felt the ground shake as these very same people seemed to be fusing together Until they finally formed into the one thing she absolutely HATED and even feared. All she could see of the people now were their horrified and pain-stricken faces. They were all moaning loudly. Some were even crying with tears in their hallow eyes. Soon, A much larger face was revealed, the face of the Bacterian Overlord. Amber tried to take a few steps back , only to back into another wall of faces. Amber began to sweat and the panic was about to set in, when she finally looked back to the face, she saw something.. no.. SOMEONE. lodged in what appeared to be the brain, Amber saw Seth, and he was looking right back at her..

[i][b]"Seth! Bacterian you monster! LET HIM GO!!!"[/b][/i]

[i][b][color=#ff0000]"FOOLISH WOMAN... ONCE YOU BECOME PART OF ME, YOU CAN NEVER BE FREED!! AS LONG AS MAN EXISTS... SO WILL I!"[/color][/b][/i]

It was then, she felt hands grab her by the ankles and she started to be pulled into to mass herself.
[b][i]"AAH!! NO!!! HELP!! SOMEBODY HELP!!!"[/i][/b]

It was then a white space ship flew in and shot at Bacterian, causing it to lose focus and Amber was set free, then The ship swooped down opened it's hatch and the pilot quickly picked Amber up, carrying her away from the horrible scene.

Soon, The Vic Viper touched down in a grassy field, and the pilot let her out.
[color=#0000ff]"Sparkster said you could meditate here.. As long as you're away from technology Bacterian isn't likely to show up. May the rest of your dreams for tonight be pleasant. Farewell Miss."[/color]

Just like that, The Vic Viper left, disappearing into the horizon. Amber then sat down and decided to take his advice. She closed her eyes and tried to be calm.

In the Real world, Amber could be seen sweating and clutching her sheets and even kicked a little bit, like she was trying to fight something off. Occasionally she could be heard muttering words. Mostly along the lines of "Let him go" and then "help me".

[color=#800080]"I wish I could help you get better.. but from here I can do nothing about it.. You might like to know however, and you might have already noticed, but Amber seems to be having a bad dream. I was about to go help her out, but one of your subjects already sent help her way. It would seem than a being known as Bacterian has been haunting her for some time... It is indeed a gruesome creature.. it might even give ME nightmares now.[/color]

Sitting on his field near the only tree he knew of in Heartland, Josep has been sleeping, but somehow remained conscious of everything that was going around him. 'Did I ever practice staying awake with my eyes open? I really don't think so....." He could see the few people walking around, but they seemed to ignore him, maybe since there were still defeated duelists around the sleeping man. "hmm, semi-conscious state...maybe I can?"

Josep attempted to hear for the voices of his "duel spirits" he had yet to hear a single one despite all the commotion in his body earlier....what exactly were they? and were they friendly? or trying to turn him like the Numbers were? "Hello? can anyone hear me?" he asked in the sea of unconsciousness repeatedly...but repeatedly, he received no answer. "why did I think that would work?" he said with a heavy sigh.

In the darkness of the night, Rinnosuke leaned against a lone tree, finding himself unable to drift away into a decent night's rest. His nerves were making his body tingle as he stared at the ground in front of him, and drew a heavy sigh as he thought hard about the situation he found himself in. He had rather mixed emotions; it was disheartening to have been forced away from his home, for certain, but a strange irony of it all made him chuckle a little. Despite loving his former land, he had always wanted to at least get a glimpse of the other side, but since he got there, all he wanted to do was go back, where everything made sense.

Slowly sinking down to a seated position, he rummaged through the pouch strapped to his front and fished out his deck, and started to sort through the cards. Staring down, he saw the residents of the mansion that he once feared, mostly due to these residents, but at that moment, he looked at them with a sort of warmth, almost a longing to see them again. Putting those away, he started to look at other cards in his pouch that he had yet to actually sort through to a game plan; each one he viewed brought back a memory.

Drawing another sigh after several minutes of staring at the cards that depicted his friends, he shook his head and looked up at the night sky. "Will we ever see home again?" he asked to no one. Then, he slipped his hand into his pocket and pulled out the frame he was given, and looked at the three pieces that fit inside, then started to twirl the fourth piece that had no place. "These things..." he muttered to himself, just thinking allowed. "These things are the key...they have to be. There has to be a better reason to get these than just to win a tournament, and that's what I'm aiming for..."

Rai winced a bit. She was really powerful. "Your Magnet monsters are powerful, I grant that . . ." He muttered as his Ultimate Offering card exploded into nothingness and disappeared. "I got lucky in being able to destroy your cards, but at the same time unlucky since you could just activate them both. I don't really get why you wasted a trap summoning a weird monster, but it's fine."

He grinned again. "You're a tough duelist, I grant you that. But now, with only one facedown left. . . . I attack your Bang Doll with Heavy Machinery King!!!"

As his Heavy Machinery King launched forward for an attack, Rai pressed a button on his D-Pad to check out Bang Doll's effect. Didn't seem like much. His monster successfully destroyed Atsuko's own without any trouble, and then something hit him, a measly 200 damage due to Bang Doll's effect. (LP 7300)

"That was a little pointless, but I'm sure you had a plan!" He said, before finishing his turn by setting a card and monster.

Now, I will Normal Summon Magnet Cube Wau in Attack Mode!"[/color] A strange black cube appeared in front of Atsuko and silently floated, doing nothing. (1500 ATK|LV4) [color=#ff0000]"And since I have a Magnet monster on the field, I can activate my Double Magnet Reborn, bringing back up to 2 Magnets from my Graveyard at the cost of 500 Life Points for each, and I choose Magnet Thief Theta and Magnet Crocodile Zeta!"[/color] She flipped up the Trap, depicting Magnet Eagle Delta and Magnet Saucer flying out of an open grave, and watched as the mechanical alligator from before returned, as well as a robotic figure in a grey cloak made from plates, and holding a pair of short bar magnets. (1600 ATK|LV4) (1500 ATK|LV4) (Atsuko: 7000 LP) [color=#ff0000]"Now, Theta's effect! By paying 1000 Life Points when he is Special Summoned, I can Special Summon a Level 4 or lower Magnet from my Deck, and I choose Magnet Knight Eta!"[/color] The thief looked around, threw down a smoke ball, and when the smoke cleared, a heavily-armored mechanical being with a long bar magnet sword and a shield with a horseshoe magnet on it stomped onto the field. (1400 ATK|LV4) (Atsuko: 6000 LP) [color=#ff0000]"Similarly, when Eta is Special Summoned, he can revive a Level 4 or lower Magnet monster from my Graveyard at the cost of 1000 Life Points, and I will go with Magnet Wizard Heta!"[/color] The knight raised his sword, and the sun reflected off of it to give off a blinding glare, and the robot wizard was now standing in Atsuko's last Monster Card Zone. (1700 ATK|LV4) (Atsuko: 5000 LP) [color=#ff0000]"Normally, Heta would Special Summon a Magnet from my hand, but I don't have any more room, so I will simply continue with something rather special!"[/color]
The three members of the Magnet adventuring party raised their weapons, and transformed into orange beams that rose into the air, indicating an Xyz Summon. However, instead of a red spiraling portal, or even one that mimicked a galaxy, a blue vortex erupted onto the field, lightning arcing out angrily. In the air, the three beams spiraled together into a single beam. [color=#ff0000]"I will create an Overlay Helix using these 3 monsters!"[/color] The combined beam shot into the portal. [color=#ff0000]"Unstable Xyz Summon! From the inner core comes the earth's mightiest defender! Rock and roll, Ultra Electromagnetic Warrior - Omega Valkyrion!"[/color]
The portal shot out a powerful beam of light, and a figure emerged from the pillar. He had a golden helmet with two horns, each half of a horseshoe magnet, a muscular body made from interlocking stone plates, gold and silver armor that had red "N"s and blue "S"s scattered about, and a pair of majestic gold and silver wings. He clutched a huge broadsword in one hand that crackled with lightning, and a glowing red orb set into the center of his chestplate throbbed as his golden eyes from inside the slit of his helmet stared out at Rai. His three Xyz Materials orbited around him in a sphere, but unlike other Xyz Materials, which were ordered and slow, their movement was incredibly fast and very erratic, with no set pattern. He landed on the ground as the portal vanished, folding his wings back as he stood defiant to the massive robot in front of him. (3500 ATK|RNK 4|3 XM)

James entered the hotel room that his master rented for their time at the WDC. Surprisingly, Omega was there before James sitting casually on the sofa. [b]“How’s the hunt kiddo?”[/b] Omega asked curiously as he held out his heart with two pieces fitting it to the side.[b] “I defeated an Opponent, he didn’t have a Number and wasn’t in any of a threat,”[/b]

James showed his heart with two pieces around the middle area. [b][color=#daa520]“I haven’t encountered anything strange like a Number,”[/color][/b] he lied. He didn’t want to tell Omega the truth of how he got the two heart pieces from a Professional Duelist. Because then he had to tell Omega about his encounter with Seth. About Number 89. About his defeat. [color=#daa520][b]“Easy victory for me,”[/b][/color]

[b]“I guess the Numbers will make their appearance in the finals,”[/b] Omega replied. [b]“To root all the ten thousand down to only a few. You need to get some rest for the second day. We have some catching up to do,”[/b]

James reluctantly obeyed as he walked towards his room for some sleep.[color=#daa520][i] ‘I am back in business, I better not fall back to nothing again,’[/i][/color]

Rai watched as Atsuko performed a strange kind of Xyz Summon, a -what was it?- an UNSTABLE Xyz Summon. The concept was strange to him, but it also somewhat relieved him.

"That means you're not a Number holder." He concluded. "I mean, you probably have a connection to them, but you never seemed like a Number user anyway. You're too teenager and stereotypie." But then he grinned. "It's sort of a shame you wasted so much just to summon it. But you know, I actually sorta figured you'd have a monster this strong . . . . and that's why I set this card! I activate the spell card Limiter Removal!"

His facedown flipped open.

"This card allows me to double the ATK of a Machine-Type monster I control, and we all know that's Heavy Machinery King. I couldn't have used it during your turn because Bag Doll was covering you up, but I'm not going to let you damage me, and now Heavy Machinery King's ATK rises all the way up to [i][b]6400![/b][/i]" He declared. His arms thrusted up into the air, and with a few lightning-quick swift moves his machine monster's ATK doubled (ATK 3200 -> 6400).

"Now how do you like that? Try to beat me now, Atsuko!"

Amber dream continued as she was clearing her mind of all the evil things she had seen recently. During this time, she had come to realize that by being afraid, She was allowing her foe to corrupt her dreams, and fill her up with doubts and distress. She took deep breaths as she sat calmly in the same grassy field that "Mr. Burton" had left her. Before long, Someone else had arrived. It appeared to be a male opossum, who was considerably younger than Zebulos was. He was sporting Blue Armor and Goggles, goggles which looked a lot like Amber's Goggles. He also had blonde, punky hair.

[b]"Y-yeah! same here! and here I thought Zebulos was the only Duel Spirit I had..."[/b]
[b][color=#0000ff]"Nope! We are ALL your Duel Spirits! Every Monster card that you have ever put into a deck have been watching you the whole time. We're your friends aren't we?"[/color][/b]
[b]"Of course! I've always felt that way!... Wow... But... How come none of you have showed yourselves until now..?"[/b]
[b][color=#0000ff]"King Zebulos alone has done a pretty good job himself. Besides, the first time he spoke to you, you freaked out. We thought it was best that we took a back seat for a while."[/color][/b]

[b][color=#0000ff]"Aaaa Shucks!" [/color][/b]Sparkster blushed and scratched his head[b][color=#0000FF] "It's What King Zebulos would have wanted me to do. Not that I wouldn't have done it anyway!"[/color][/b]

The two of them continued to talk casually, laughing, and occasionally talking more about how the other Spirits were.

With that Sparkster flipped his Goggles over his eyes and rocketed away into the horizon, just as the Vic Viper and the pilot had before him. Amber watched him fly away until he was no longer visible. It was at that moment, Amber had woken up from her dream. To her, it felt like she had been out all night, but really, She was only asleep for a few hours. Yet she felt wide awake now.

[color=#800080]"Oh! Master you're awake!" [/color]Said Galaxy Queen.
[i]"You don't have to call me 'Master'." [/i]Amber responded. [i]"Just call me Amber.."[/i]

Amber looked over to Leon, and realize that he was still awake. She tilted her head and sat up.

[b]"Leon? Have you been up this whole time? You need to get some sleep!"[/b]

Atsuko didn't seem too fazed.[color=#ff0000] "First, I'll activate the effect of my Magnet Cube Wau, paying 1000 Life Points to send Magnet Cobra Lambda to the Graveyard from my Deck in order to be treated as Magnet Cobra Lambda!"[/color] The cube started to break down into smaller and smaller cubes, their positions shifting and reconfiguring until a black stone cobra made from cubes rested on Atsuko's field. (Atsuko: 4000 LP) [color=#ff0000]"And now, Electromagnetic Fusion!" She activates a Spell Card, which generates a huge coil-like machine. "I can fuse together Magnet Crocodile Zeta and Magnet Cube Wau, which is treated as Magnet Cobra Lambda, to Fusion Summon a much more powerful monster!"[/color] The machine powered up, and the two monsters started to be drawn towards the glowing coil. The coil started to spin, allowing for the two monsters to enter the electromagnetic funnel created by the coil, and the machine exploded in a flash of light to reveal a massive mechanical-looking monster, a blue-colored allosaurus with a red fin made from plating. The magnetic dinosaur roared at Rai angrily. (2500 ATK|LV6) [color=#ff0000]"Say hello to Electromagnetic Dinosaur - Magnerex, but he's not important right now. The star of this show is-"[/color] CRACK! Atsuko winced as a huge crack opened up across Omega Valkyrion's chestplate, chipping his red core. [color=#ff0000]"Great. He's beginning to destabilize. Time to get moving. I enter my Battle Phase."[/color] Another resounding CRACK! echoes through the night, and one of Omega Valkyrion's gauntlets is now damaged. A third CRACK! creates a gap in one of Omega Valkyrion's wings. When Atsuko said Omega Valkyrion was unstable, she wasn't kidding! The monster seemed to be slowly falling apart!
[color=#ff0000]"Now, time to take care of your Heavy Machinery King! Omega Valkyrion!"[/color] The damaged warrior flew up high, and raised his sword. [color=#ff0000]"Omega Valkyrion is powerful on his own, but when I use specific monsters as his Xyz Materials, he becomes unstoppable! Thanks to Magnet Thief Theta, he can't be destroyed by card effects, and Magnet Knight Eta allows for him to prevent you from activating any card effects when he attacks! But the main effect is from Magnet Wizard Heta! By expending all 3 Xyz Materials, he can gain ATK equal to the ATK of a monster he battles!"[/color] Omega Valkyrion's orbs of light, which had been orbiting him chaotically, rushed into the blade, which glowed brightly. The earth around Rai and Atsuko shook as stone blades of all different sizes and shapes emerged from the concrete and floated towards Valkyrion's sword, each reforming to lock into place like a piece of a puzzle. Slowly, Omega Valkyrion's sword grew, until it was finally somewhere between 40 and 50 feet in length, and about as wide as Omega Valkyrion was tall. (3500 ATK -> 9900 ATK) [color=#ff0000]"Slap-chop that b***h! Million-Gauss Magna Cleaver!"[/color] As another CRACK! fractured one of his boots, he prepared to swing the sword, and brought the massive implement of destruction down on Heavy Machinery King, cleaving the enormous robot in half and just barely missing slicing Rai's arm off as it created a fissure in the ground, though the sheer force of the blade had caused Omega Valkyrion's sword arm to come clean off. The broken limb dangled from the hilt of the original blade while little bits of the magnetic soldier's armor floated around him as his core sparked.
[color=#ff0000]"And now, to finish you off! Mangerex, attack Rai directly! And the great thing about Magnerex is that he can attack twice!"[/color] The robotic allosaurus stomped towards Rai and swung his tail at him before turning back around, and prepared to devour the poor duelist.

"That's pretty cool, but not even your Magnerex can------- what?" He jaw dropped.

To have such an effect, it must've been a really powerful monster. He watched as the unstable Xyz destroyed his Heavy Machinery King, decreasing his Life Points really low, and then as Mangerex attacked him directly. Twice. He knew he couldn't do anything about it, and just smiled. The Mangerex first swung its tail at Rai, hitting him, and then it tried to devour him. Luckily, the D-Pad already calculated and brought down his Life Points to zero, ending the duel as well as the D-Gazer vision.

"Well." Rai said, speechless at first. "That wasn't bad, not at all. I might've stood a better chance if my Number card had been with me, but sometimes it's better not to rely on addictions. You're a cool kid. Whoever raised you was either overly ignorant or a master at dueling themselves."

He took out his Heart Piece and held it out to her. Now he only had two Heart Pieces, but he had tried his best. That was what counted.

"Take it. You deserve it. Maybe we'll meet again sometime in the World Duel Carnival finals, eh? You're definitely finalist material for sure."

After she took it, he walked away, back to his home. It was probably past midnight already. He needed all the rest he could get for the second day, and he also needed a new strategy.

Atsuko breathed a sigh of relief at the success of the duel. [color=#ff0000]"Yo, you got some pretty sweet moves, dawg." [/color]She complimented back, slipping back into her gangsta poser ways. [color=#ff0000]"And you should lay off the Numbers. They ain't right, if ya catch mah drift. That's why I got this sweet deck about f**kin' Magnets and how they work together so well. Since Numbers can't be destroyed 'cept with another Number, why not just wail on the Number holder until he ain't got no more Life Points?" [/color]She took the HEart Piece and happily inserted it into the container she had in her pocket. [color=#ff0000]"Aww, yeah! Time to go see what Chris is doing..."[/color] Atsuko wearliy trudged off to go find her companion, yawning sleepily as the excitement from dueling wore down and the fact that it was very late kicked in.

Leon smiled when he saw Amber wake up, looking healthy -[color=#800080] "I'm fine Amber, really. Besides, the sun will rise in a while, probably. I can't afford sleeping now." [/color]- Leon looked at Amber, and directed his eyes to the spot on Amber's shirt where the bruise would be. -[color=#800080] "How...are you?" [/color]- a tear ran down Leon's cheek, but he quickly wiped it off - [color=#800080]"I'm so sorry Amber. I...I remember. I didn't mean to hit you, I'd never do something like that." [/color]- Leon got up and opened the curtains, but the sky was still dark. He closed them again, and sat down on the chair next to Amber's bed. - [color=#800080]"Did you sleep okay? You were almost screaming there, I was about to wake you, but you then remained calm for most of the night." [/color]- he yawned with his mouth open, and rubbed his eyes. - [color=#800080]"You can go back to sleep if you want, Amber. I'll wake you up in the morning."[/color]

When Amber saw Leon wiping a tear away from his eyes, she grinned a little.

When Leon requested that she get some sleep she yawned.

Mikey was fast asleep in his hotel room when Blazey walked in. He was snoring loudly, sprawled out ridiculously over the bed, and from the waist up he was hanging off, clenching a pillow in his arms. Blazey began to laugh hysterically. The noise startled Mikey, who awoke and fell off the bed. He hit the ground with a thump, and proceeded to screaming "Doh!" He sat up and rubbed his head. "Tiered yet?" he asked. Blazey laughed a bit again. "Yeah," she started, "I'm here to get some sleep before day two begins." Mikey motioned to a second bed on the other side of the room. It was significantly smaller than his own. He then motioned to the floor. "You can sleep on either." He hopped back up into bed and fell straight asleep. Blazey rolled her eyes and went into the bathroom to take a shower. When she had a lot on her mind, she usually took really long showers. This time, she brought a chair with her.

Josep had already begun walking around as he was sure the sun would be rising soon enough, despite his apparent sleeping with eyes open he was pretty well rested, which was more then he could say about the gang of duelists still splayed across the ground from their lil...midnight duel. "You guys should have listened.....oy....". One thing on his mind however was his lack of money and need for food. "psh....maybe I should sell the extra heart pieces I have.....maybe then I could actually get some decent grub".

As he held his stomach in hunger he looked up to eat a few rays of sun.....yeah, like that helped, instead he found himself looking at the hotel where Hannah was at, still down from what Inferno Chevalier had done. "not time to eat yet I guess, I should get looking for more Numbers.....now then, if I'm correct, my strategy should work against them....so it's time to put that theory to the test...."

Josep picked up his bag and began trudging along the streets, soon, Day 2 would begin, and so would his hunt. "I'll make them pay for what they've done....."

Rubbing his eyes slowly, Rinnosuke awoke from his rest, surprised to find himself still against the same tree he was at after his last duel. Shaking his head lightly, he figured that he was just exhausted from the long day, having to put his friends to the test over and over, using a skill he'd never have learned back home. Reaching up to make sure his glasses were still there, he felt more secure when they were, and then he checked his pouch, and found his friends were still there, trapped in those cards. He wondered why some of them had multiple copies, but he figured that, since most of the other people had multiples, it was just some way to compensate and let him have a chance.

Slowly rising to his feet, he let out a sigh and dusted off his clothes, some blades of grass falling from them. Looking up into the sky, he figured that soon the stars would fade, and the sun take their place, so going back to sleep would be pointless. Arching his back, his body told him a bed would be much better than laying against a tree, but he started to walk, anyway, looking for something to do or someone to face, hoping to further his endevours to return home.

Unable to help himself, he reached into his pouch again, and pulled out the deck that he had put together so far. "Let's just do our best," he said to the deck of friends, though it would seem like he was talking to himself. "We have to go back home..."

A new day had begun, and after making sure he was sill on vacation time, Palir left his apartment to search for more participants. Though he'd collected 3 Heart Pieces, he could only fit two at a time into his frame. [i][color=#006400]Tch. Looks like I've effectively only got two pieces, though I can keep going with the odd one out if I have to...[/color][/i] He had dressed more casually this day, no longer wearing his work coveralls, and instead opting for a gold-colored button-down shirt tucked into grey cargo pants. His mask still covered his face, but he stood out less. Walking around a different part of the city than he had the previous day, there weren't many people around; it was still rather early and the sun was only beginning to rise. However, one person stood out; they were awake, and they were dressed in a outfit that would have been commonplace in Medieval Japan.
