A normal would be terrified when they saw Leon tearing a person apart with his bare hands. But, Yuki -who had lost his emotions- instead saw the incident in a different perspective. [color=#4b0082][i]"Looks like he possesses the same kind of power as me. Interesting...." [/i][/color][color=#000000]Within the blink of an eye, Yuki flew away from his spot and landed again [/color]between Leon (and Amber) and Blazey's group. With a cold stare, Yuki averted his gaze to Leon. [color=#4b0082]"Duel me." [/color][color=#000000]Yuki said, pointing his sword at Leon's neck. [/color][color=#4b0082]"If you try to decline it, then I'll burn this place down.[/color]" [color=#000000]Yuki's left hand created a small ball of his darkness flames, showing that he will stop at nothing to gain Leon's power.[/color]

"Well, I'll have to set one more card face-down for my defense....your gems are piling up, I have to be careful" he told her, showing he was cautious, but also a bit confident on her strategy, meanwhile his Dragon Deck was varied, finding out his strategy was like throwing a dart in the dark towards a very small bullseye. "I'll end my turn with that miss Gem"

With that, a terrible nickname was born....whoopee. On the field however, Red Eyes gave her a dark glare, it seemed.....anxious, a very unnerving look for anybody that noticed.

Changing his mind about directly confronting Leon, Palir then began to circle around and approach the group from behind. [color=#006400]I think that... this situation is... quickly going out... of anyone's control. I believe that... the Numbers are... to blame. If that possessed... person were to... be liberated of... his Numbers... he may be... able to be... reasoned with.[/color] Palir then turned his attention to Leon and Yuki.

"Then it's my turn, draw!" Jenna announced, seizing a new card and looking towards it. Her eyes lit up at that moment, and she grinned. "I activate Crystal Tree's effect! By sending the tree to my Graveyard, I can place one Crystal Beast from my Deck to my Spell and Trap Card Zone for every Crystal Counter that was on it. There were two counters, so I can place two Crystal Beasts!"

The sapling glowed and the fruits fell off, changing instantly to a dark blue gemstone, and an orange amber. "I choose Advanced Crystal Beast Cobalt Eagle and Advanced Crystal Beast Amber Mammoth," she said.

"Now, I activate the Spell Card Crystal Beacon!"

The spell card turned around, revealing a gemstone giving off a shining light. "When I have 2 or more Crystal Beasts in my Spell and Trap Card Zone, I can Special Summon one Crystal Beast from my Deck," Jenna explained. "I'll pause a moment to see if you have anything to say about that."

Amber looked to the new arrival with a determined look on her face, her expression along would be enough to tell anyone not to interfere. She was more than certain that she could fix it with the help of the numbers.. The good ones at least.

[b]"Leave us alone! This does not concern you." [/b]She said loudly. [b]"ONE number is to blame for this.. and only ONE! My numbers and I can save him, but the rest of you need to back off..." [/b]

When Amber held Leon, he felt her sliding something into his pocket. Leon couldn't move, since Amber was holding him tightly. Leon clenched his fist, trying to punch something...he then started feeling something, like...relief.

The voices started pounding Leon's head, until he couldn't hear Drake's voice anymore; Leon had regained conciousness. His eyes were brown again, and the aura was gone. He looked around, and it took him a minute to remember what Shark Drake had done. He looked down, and Amber was holding him.

[color=#800080]"Am...Amber."[/color] - Leon fell to the ground, making Amber fall too - [color=#800080]"Amber...I'm sorry...I really am...I didn't want to do it."[/color] - Leon's eyes were starting to fill with tears when he looked up, at the man pointing him with a sword, with a fireball in the other hand. He looked back at Amber, and kissed her on the lips - [color=#800080]"T-Thank you Amber. It's time to go."[/color] - Leon stood up, and looked at Yuki; his eyes were turning red again, but he was in control of it this time. He wiped the tears from his face, and scratched his head - [color=#800080]"I'm sorry, I'm in no mood or condition for duels, so maybe tomorrow. Also, it's getting really late. Guys, let's go!" [/color]- Leon turned to his partners, ignoring Yuki.

In the struggle, Amber had been punched in the side, and pretty hard too before Leon finally regained control, but she kept her grip. When he seemed to have come to, Amber was relieved. but now she was starting to have trouble ignoring the pain. She could taste blood in her mouth, fortunately not until after Leon had kissed her. She simply swallowed and didn't so much as put her hand over her sore side.

Palir took a few steps backward. Had he not been masked, a scowl would have been visible on his face, followed by a return to a neutral expression. [i][color=#006400]Well that was certainly rude. I can't blame her though, I'm guessing that the possessed guy is her friend.[/color][/i] He kept backing up until he was a few feet behind the group, and decided to simply watch and wait for the situation to be diffused. [i][color=#006400]The Numbers... what exactly are they? It seems like there are different "kinds" of Numbers... malicious ones like 91, 42, and whatever this guy's got, and "good" ones, which this girl claims to have...[/color][/i] Seeing that the situation had been diffused, at least for the moment, Palir turned and left the group entirely. [i][color=#006400]It is getting late. I will have a chance for more Heart Pieces tomorrow, and to help stop the Numbers from causing more chaos.[/color][/i]

"I see, all out barrage huh? bring on the lil Ruby then!" Josep clenched his fist and pumped it, waiting for her card to appear, his field unmoved. "I have nothing to respond with, as such, I'll let you do your thing for now" Red-Eyes looked down at the field and raised it's head, looking down on the Crystals on the ground, awaiting their attack, something big was gonna happen, and he would be ready for the "King Class" Dragon that could appear at any moment.

"I feel uneasy.....am I...or is Red-eyes....goading her to summon that card, even though it would be extremely difficult to defeat.....something was wrong....he wasn't playing as he wanted....in fact, it's as if he isn't dueling.....

Jenna nodded. "I Special Summon Advanced Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle!"

A small blue kitten leapt onto the field, eyes glowing red and its fur darkened with streaks of black. (Lvl 3, 300/300) The crystal at the end of its tail immediately began to glow dimly.

"When Ruby Carbuncle is Special Summoned, I can Special Summon as many Crystal Beasts from my Spell or Trap Card Zone as possible," she stated, the glow expanding from the kitten's tail and shining over the crystals, each which shattered dramatically, releasing the feral Amethyst Cat (Lvl 3, 1200/400), an eagle (Lvl 4, 1400/800), and a dark-scaled pacyderm. (Level 4 1700/1600)

"Not very impressive, I'll admit, as they all lack firepower," Jenna mused.

"First things first, Amethyst Cat can attack my opponent directly for half the damage! Go, direct attack!"

The red eyes of Amethyst Cat glittered and it darted forward, claws bared to strike.

[i]It's likely Lucy's face-down card is a trap, [/i]Greg thought. [i]But no matter. [/i]"I'll Tribute Headless Knight," the boy said. "For Jinzo!" The undead knight exploded into shards of glowing yellow glass, which reformed into a tall being with burned skin wearing green armor and a face mask (ATK 2400 / DEF 1500). "Then I'll equip him with a Magic Card - Fairy Meteor Crush! This card allows the equipped monster to inflict Battle Damage, even if your monster is in Defense Position! Jinzo, attack! Gravitation Orb!" Jinzo pointed his outstretched palm at Lucy's face-down monster, and shot a purple and black ball of energy from it, which hit the Set card, flipping it face-up.
"Now I've got you," Lucy replied. The face-down monster flipped up to reveal a metal jar with blue teeth and a single glowing green eye. "When Cyber Jar is flipped face-up, it'll destroy all monsters on the field. Initiate Self-Destruction!" The jar exploded, destroying both Jinzo and Red-Eyes Armor Dragon. "Then both players pick up 5 cards from the top of their deck, and Special Summon all Level 4 or below monsters they find there. The remaining cards are added to our hands." Lucy, Martin, and Greg drew 5 cards from the top of their deck and added them to their hands. Martin scowled. "Nothing I can do here."
"However," Greg responded. "Fairy Meteor Crush was in effect, so you still take Battle Damage." [LUCY LP: 2500]
Lucy nodded. "I Special Summon Luster Dragon, in attack position." A beautiful, sparkling blue dragon rose out of the ground in front of Greg's sister (ATK 1900 / DEF 1600).
"You only summoned one monster," Greg said. "I on the other hand, have three!" Greg took three cards from his hand and placed them on the Duel Disk. A purple robot with a cannon attached to it's back (Cannon Soldier, ATK 1400 / DEF 1300) and a yellow robot, with two cannons attached to his shoulders (X-Head Cannon, ATK 1800 / DEF 1500). The two were joined by an elfin warrior in green armor and a helmet, wielding a sword (Obnoxious Celtic Guard, ATK 1400 / DEF 1200).
"You've fallen into my Trap," Lucy muttered. "Activate Trap Card - Just Desserts. You take 500 Damage for every monster you control." Greg's three monsters turned on him and attacked, the Machines firing their cannons at him and Obnoxious Celtic Card slashing it's master across the chest.
"Arugh!" Greg yelled, clutching his chest and falling to his knees [GREG LP: 2000], but he soon got back up, breathing labored. "It's still my turn! I tribute two monsters!" Both the Celtic Guard and X-Head Cannon faded from view. "Direct attack!" The Cannon Soldier aimed it's cannon at Lucy, and fired, the shot hitting Lucy directly [LUCY LP: 1000].
"Then I..." Greg began to finish, panting. "...Set two cards in my backrow and...End my turn..."
Pain throbbed across Greg's torso. The boy looked at his hands, which were scraped from the attack.

Since he's now Level 3, I can Normal Summon Red-Eyes Halberd Dragon with out Tributes." An armored, reptinalle dragon with a blazing gauntlet fell from the sky and slammed into the ground, kneeling. Eventually, it got up (ATK 2000 / DEF 1400).

"Attack!" Martin crowed. "Blazing Spear!" The flames of the dragon's gauntlet formed into a fiery spear, which it gripped in the armored hand and threw at Cannon Soldier.
"Not so fast!" Greg countered, pressing a button on his Duel Disk. "Trap Card open! Spellbinding Circle!" A seal of light appeared around the Halberd Dragon, it's light desitegrating the spear. "This Seal will stop all your monster's attacks."
Martin chuckled. "You think so? I activate Halberd Dragon's effect. I shuffle it into the deck to Special Summon Red-Eyes Dracon Connector Girl from my deck!" The Halberd Dragon faded in a red light, which twisted and bended until it took the shape of a girl and a dragon. The light faded, revealing a black scaled dragon and a red-haired girl standing infront of it (ATK 1200 / DEF 500).

Lucy drew. "For my move, I'll have Luster Dragon attack Cannon Soldier." The beautiful dragon shot a blast of blue fire from it's mouth, straight at Cannon Soldier. Greg bit his lip.
[i]Sorry, sister. [/i]He thought, then said aloud: "I activate Magic Cylinder! This Trap negates your attack and then inflicts damage to you equal to the monster whose attack was negated's ATK!" A purple cylinder with a yellow question mark painted on intercepted the blast, then flipped over and shot the attack back at Lucy, which hit her full on [LUCY LP: 0]
"Lucy!" cried Martin. "You'll pay for this..."

Josep took a deep breath and awaited, yet again the cat leaped at him and slashed down, again he felt the slice, and when the paw left him he felt like spitting out blood, but...it was just a hologram..right? Oh, who was he kidding, he had been feeling pain the whole tournament, there was far more then meets the eye in this game. "No response....as you can see, damn that hurt...."

Josep stumbled and looked on the field, she didn't cause that much damage, but getting torn into by a feral cat is never a happy feeling....ever. "By the rest of your field I'm guessing you don't have much left to do....." he said hoping she'd take a break from physically and spiritually pummeling him, though he knew she was waiting.

Leon didn't remember having punched Amber, and he didn't realize she was in pain, so he started walking toward the twins instead. Mikey had been brave, facing Leon while possessed, as well as Neo. Blazey, however, was crying behind him - [color=#800080]"Guys...I'm really sorry about everything...Mikey, you are a brave man. Neo...I'm sorry about everything. Those words weren't coming from me."[/color] - he placed a hand on each man's shoulder. He then got closer to Blazey, and hugged her - [color=#800080]"Blazey. It's okay. It won't happen again, he is gone...ok?" [/color]- Leon was ashamed of his behavior. Not only for Rob, but for the things he said and did...and making a friend cry.

[color=#40E0D0][i]"What is it honey? Are you feeling okay?"[/i][/color][i] - [/i]Leon missed Sonya's voice, as if it had been years since he last heard it.

Amber lagged behind a bit as Leon made his apologies, A lot had happened in one day, and she was very tired.. She kept looking back to see if Yuki was following, She was concerned for what he had said.. would he have really tried to burn the place? Nah.. To do so would not only get him thrown out of the tournament, but to prison as well.. Or Juvie.. An Ambulance had come for Rob and he was rushed to the nears hospital for treatment. He was alive, but there was no telling if his soul would ever come back to him. She had no idea what it was Shark Drake had done, or how it worked... Even though he was a creep anyway, She felt bad for Rob.

She looked forward as Leon was trying to apologize.. She smiled, At least for now things were somewhat back to normal.. But Shark had to go... Amber knew that as much as anyone... She felt a cough coming, so she muffled it with a handkerchief from her back pocket while no one was looking. She looked into it and saw a little bit of blood, it seemed to be stopping at least. She continued to tread, but was moving a little slower with each passing moment as they got closer to the Hotels.

"I didn't want to do that," Greg spat back, drawing his card. "From my hand, I activate Monster Reborn. I assume you know what it does, so I'm not going to explain. Jinzo, return!"
The green-armored masked man rose out of a swirling vortex in the ground (ATK 2400 / DEF 1500). "Attack his Connector Girl. Pyshco Pulse!" Jinzo raised it's hand into the air. A rotating purple and black vortex with odd symbols - perhaps hieroglyphs? - appeared in the air above Red-Eyes Dracon Connector Girl. Suddenly, a blast of energy shot from it and struck the Girl, destroying it [Martin LP: 3100]. "I then Set two cards in the backrow. Your move, brother."

As he started his turn, Martin mulled over the current situation. [i]I need a card that will help me regain control, [/i]he thought. [i]My hand can't do it alone. [/i]The elder brother placed his hand on the top card of his deck, preparing to draw. [i]I have to. I have to draw that card! [/i]Martin drew, holding the card high into the air.
"I can feel it!" he said aloud.
[i]He's planning something...[/i]Greg thought. Martin looked at the card he had drawn.
[i]What did he draw? [/i]Greg asked mentally.
"I have to admit you were very entertaining." Martin told his younger brother. "However, you were never a match for me. Now you're finished! Activate Magic Card! Polymerization!" A swirling blue and orange portal appeared on the ground in front of Martin. "I fuse Red-Eyes Black Dragon and Meteor Dragon!" Two dragons, one a black scaled one with red eyes and the other that looked like a meteorite appeared and dived into the portal, fusing with each other. "Behold!" Martin cried. "The mighty Meteor Black Dragon!" From the portal, a large purple dragon with red skin and lava running down it's face and body rose, and roared loudly, it's voice echoing for miles (ATK 3500 / DEF 2000).
"Jinzo won't survive this!" Martin continued. "Attack! Obsidian Blast!" Again the dragon roared, and a black meteor flew from the sky, barreling toward Jinzo. "Activate Quick-Play Magic! Shrink! This halves the ATK of your monster this turn!" Pieces chipped away from the meteor, fading until it was only half of it's original size.
"It's attack...is only 1750!" Said Martin, shocked.
"I activate my other face-down Quick-Play Magic! Force Smash! When my monsters destroy you monsters by battle, you take damage equal to the destroyed monster's original ATK this turn! Jinzo! Destroy his Dragon and end this game! Graviton Wave!" Greg continued, voice ringing throughout the ally.

Jinzo pointed his arms at Meteor Black Dragon in a pushing motion. A bolt of purple and black energy shot from them, shooting through the dragon [Martin LP:2450]. The energy did not stop after it had destroyed Meteor Black Dragon, and it continued it path of destruction and hit Martin head on [Martin LP:0].

[left]After winning the duel, Greg simply took 1 of 2 of each of his sibling's Heart Pieces, examined them, put the only he had taken from his sister into the frame and placing the other one in his pocket, as it did not fit. He then doubled over in pain, clutching his chest, his eyes throbbing purple and he saw red.[/left]

"Almost done, yes," she agreed. After seeing the successful strike, she began to experience a surge of confidence. It didn't matter if she was down on Life Points, or if she was facing monsters with 2800 ATK eager to attack. Without any Crystal Beasts remaining in her Deck, her Advanced Dark would not be able to prevent any more damage. But there was a way to change this.

Her Amber Mammoth and Cobalt Eagle both began shimmering, gradually dissolving into spheres of light as Jenna took them from her Disk and stacked them onto one pile. "I Overlay my Level 4 Amber Mammoth and Cobalt Eagle!"

The spheres rose into the air, entwining themselves before shooting down towards an emerging portal on the ground, a galaxy visible within. Once both lights were inside, the portal exploded outwards, and an almost inperceptible aura surrounded Jenna's body.

"Xyz Summon! Appear now, Number 39: Kibou Ou Hope!"

A red stylized number, forming a 3 and a 9 flashed from the firework explosion, and a diamond-shaped form emerged from the portal, 2 lights orbiting it. As they watched, the shape shifted like a transforming action figure, moving from the non-descript shape and becoming a warrior wearing a brilliant gold and white armor and wielding two swords at its sides. The red number glowed upon its left shoulder and it posed dramatically.

Jenna giggled to herself, lifting the two cards remaining in hand, and then slid them dramatically onto her Disk.

[/b]He waved to Blazey, Mikey, Leon, and Amber, as he walked away, and jumped onto his still-parked motorcycle. He gunned the gas, and rode away.

"A Number......so you did have one....." Josep's eyes flashed red unknowing to him, and Red-Eyes roared loudly and stared down Hope, looking at it hungrily. "I draw! then I activate my Spell card....Future Fusion! by selecting my Five-God Dragon I can send material for his fusion summon to the grave! which luckily for me is only 5 Dragon-type monsters!, as such, I choose, Dragunity Arma Leyvaten, Dragunity Phalanx, Felgrand Dragon, Light and Darkness Dragon, and a Red-eyes Wyvern for good measure! unless of course you have something to prevent this?"

Five energy beams moved from the deck to the grave, filling Red-Eyes with power. the one card in his hand trembling as well in anticipation "I do wonder...why you were hiding that?" he said looking at the Number monster, making him rather uneasy.

Jenna blinked blankly. [i]How many different Dragon strategies does this Deck use?[/i] she wondered to herself, but the Number's power relaxed those worries in the next moment, and she gestured for him to go on. "I have no response to your card," she stated simply.

"And I was not hiding this monster," she added, gesturing to her Number. "You didnt ask me if I had one, merely if others had asked me if I had one," she pointed out, smirking. [i]I have a good idea what he's planning next...the combo is crystal clear.[/i] Her mouth twitched at the unintentional pun.

But your heart never wavers! like the wind, change the tides to our favor and show your skill in battle! I summon the Lord of Wind! Dragunity Arma Leyvaten!" An Orange battle armored Dragon came out from behind Josep and pulled a massive blade from his back, his eyes glowing green.

"Now then, when he's special summoned I can equip to him one Dragon card, I'll choose Felgrand Dragon!" Leyvaten's blade suddenly became gold in color and grew heavier. " think it's time we start the battle festivities......Enter Battle Phase!"

Jenna scowled faintly, her mind swiftly taking stock of the play, her fist clenching a little. Yet, she made no move to counter him, only waited with still confident eyes for him to proceed with the Battle Phase. She was only slightly concerned about his facedown cards, but if they were nothing particularly important, than she could still counter attack soon.

"Go on," she said, to reinforce the fact she wasn't using anything yet.

"I'll start by having Dragunity Arma Leyvaten attack Hope!" Leyvaten commenced his attack, appearing in front of Hope and slashing down on him with his golden blade, Unknowing of it's possible effect, all he knew was that he had to be dealt with first. "Hurricane Slash!" The orange Dragon spun in the air as it neared Hope and it's blade struck the metal of his opponent's armor, but this would be the moment in which his opponent would either activate a face-down, or reveal it's effect.

'I have a feeling you're taking me lightly.....I'll show you!" he shouted over the bursting winds.

Jenna raised an eyebrow at the attack, doing nothing as the monster struck the armored warrior. Hope braced itself for the attack and was pushed backwards. When the dust and wind settled down, the warrior was still standing strong.

"Show me what?" Jenna snickered, her eyes widening with amused glee. "You weren't kidding when you said you didn't know about Numbers!" she said, pointing at Josep with a wide grin that seemed briefly manic. "Numbers cannot be destroyed by battle except by Numbers! And because Hope is in DEF Position, I take no damage."

Her expression settled down, yet the aura around her did not. "Are you done?"

"Damn.....all of that and nothing accomplished....can't be destroyed by battle unless it's with another Number.....that means all the power in the world my Dragons have is...pointless...." He looked at the field. "I see.....I have no other choice but Dumb Luck huh?" Red Eyes and Van Dalgyon roared simultaneously as they each got ready. "Red Eyes! attack Amythest Cat! Vandalgyon, if it passes you take down the carbuncle! we may as well lower her field! count!"

The look in her eyes was there, the same that was in Hannah's when she summoned her Number, was she being possessed? Hope didn't look evil, but maybe this girl was just twisted, she was using a bastardized version of a loveable archetype. "I win that Number then...and destroy it...." he muttered to himself lowly.

Jenna chuckled. "The bad luck makes it worse for you. Hope's effect! By detaching one Overlay Unit, it negates one attack! Go, Hope! Moon Barrier!"

The warrior absorbed on of the orbiting lights into its chest and its armored wing slashed, both wings transforming into an impenetrable barrier as the warrior leapt in front of the attack towards Amethyst Cat, defending it from harm.

(Response? If not, I'm assuming that Van attacks Cat instead)

Once again, the warrior absorbed the Overlay Unit, leaving it with 0 remaining, and defended Jenna's monster from the dragon's attack. The two feline monsters hissed at the far larger monsters, and Jenna grinned briefly. Even though Hope had no Overlay Units remaining, her Life Points were safe from harm.
